Tried New Deli for the first time and really enjoyed it. We ordered the Inferno and the Cali Club. The Inferno had a nice kick to it with roast beef, turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo that tied everything together. The Cali Club was a great contrast: fresh and flavorful with turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and a mayo on rye bread. Nice, soft, fluffy bread. Fresh produce. Good customer service. The lady was extremely nice. They have a vast selection of sandwiches and salad options, so there's plenty to choose from. Portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality. We'll be back to try more!

Daisy Deli has taken over operation at Belly Belly. They are still using quality Boar's Head products, but have made Daisy Deli something of their own. For example, they make their own fresh chicken salad served on bread of your choice or on a salad. I had the chicken salad on toasted squaw bread. It comes lettuce, tomato, onions, Swiss cheese, and mayo. I opt for mustard, instead of the may. The chicken salad was very good and came with an abundance of white chicken. I liked this it offered a slight kick with the finely chopped banana peppers. The sandwich as a whole was very tasty. The chicken salad sandwich cost $11.95. The service was very friendly and welcoming. There's a good amount of seating inside and outside. They offering catering and daily hot soups.

We are from out of town and found Daisy Deli with a quick Yelp search for a sandwich place. Ordered the Cali Club, Firey Chipotle and Antipasto Salad (photo does not include the firey chipotle), and everything was amazing! We will definitely go back! Price point is average. We spent less than $40, and the sandwiches are loaded.

"The Sandwich That Thought It Could" I was in San Diego today -- I go every couple of months -- and decided to try Daisy Deli since it was close by. It's a very simple setup: just one big square room, a few tables in the middle, and a friendly woman behind the counter. I ordered The Inferno, mostly because the roast beef, turkey, and bacon caught my eye. I asked for it on a wheat roll and toasted -- figured I'd get a warm, hearty sandwich. When it came out, it looked incredible. I mean, look at the pics -- stacked high with meats, crisp lettuce, thick tomato slices, melty cheese, and a nice crusty roll. It definitely had the look of a deli classic. But unfortunately... it kind of fell apart in execution. The wheat roll was super dry and didn't taste toasted at all. The turkey? Also dry like, no moisture left in it. The bacon had a burnt crunch that was a little too much for my taste. The roast beef was just okay, but it couldn't save it. And oddly enough, there was no mayo or mustard, which made everything even drier. I had to ask for some on the side just to make it edible. It wasn't a terrible sandwich, it filled me up, and it was a good size, but it just didn't taste good. All the ingredients were there visually, but the flavor and texture just didn't come together. So yeah... looked close, but yet so far.

A new sandwich shop that serves quality sandwiches! Ordered the Hot Pastrami sandwich and upgraded to the giant (additional half sandwich). The flavors are great. Meat is delicious. And portion are big. Great selection of hot sandwiches. Will return to try other sandwiches too. They also have a gelato bar ice cream pops.

We ordered. Large sandwich platter for Easter get-together and it was delicious! Such great value for the price! Norris and his wife are so friendly and the sandwich breads are so fresh. The meats are top quality Boarshead meats. Great portions and so fresh. I will definitely use Daisy Deli in the future for catering. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. Yum! PS They used to be Deli Belly - same great sandwiches just not corporate any more. Support this small business! Such a nice family :)

A few bites into my half, I noticed mold on the side of my sandwich. By that point, she had already eaten about half of hers. I called immediately. After several holds and back-and-forth, I was told they couldn't refund a single item, and that the owner said I could drive back to pick up cash. I explained I was at work and moving to Temecula in two days. I wasn't rude, I was patient through every hold. I've worked in food service. If this ever happened where I worked, we would have refunded the entire order and done whatever it took to make it simple for the customer. The owner offered to drive the cash to my house, which I declined, I didn't want a stranger at my door, and honestly, it wasn't about the money. My pregnant wife ate moldy food. Not once did anyone ask if she was okay or acknowledge that this was a health concern. I never received a refund. I just expected basic accountability, apparently that was too much to ask.

They have everything from hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches to salads, wraps, and even breakfast items. You can order at the counter or on the kiosk. I ordered on the kiosk. Simple and quick. I ordered the wild-caught salmon sandwich with salmon, arugula, and garlic aioli. The salmon was cooked perfectly. They were a little skimpy on the aioli, so the sandwich was kind of dry, but it was still good. I also got a side of fries, and those shoestring fries were nice and crispy. Prices are reasonable, and there's seating both inside and outside. Shout out to Crystal. I don't know if she's the manager, but she definitely cares about quality customer service. Someone ordered the Green Beret sandwich, and it was brought out on toasted bread when apparently it wasn't supposed to be. She immediately went to the counter and let the cooks know about it. She meant business, and I liked that.

They do not skimp on meat and the proportion of bread to meat to veggie ratio is spot on! A full size sandwich is enough to feed two people easily or one very hungry person. I don't know the girl's name because no one here wears name tags, but they wear short shorts like if we're a hooters . But this has been the second time I've had an issue where the next person That gets handed what the sandwich actually is, isn't listening! I had to tell the girl multiple times while she's busy cutting avocados instead of just taking a minute to say, can you give me a second and having me repeat myself! And then I told her after she asked, anything else, I said, can I just can I get pepper? She gives me salt and I look at her and I said I didn't want salt. She said, do you want me to take it off? How are you supposed to take salt off a sandwich when one you cannot see it? Instead of just listening like when I'm speaking to you your too busy doing other things because you wanna be quick. You put salt on the sandwich when I asked for pepper. Those are not the same things. Their employees need to do a better job at focusing on what the customer is saying, versus doing 20 other things. I don't care about you taking longer to make my sandwich. What I care about is me not having to repeat myself three times because you are not listening. She asked me multiple times too. If I wanted anything else needed anything else? Well, I can't even get you to put pepper on my sandwich. And you expect me to believe that you're going to make my order correctly. What if I was someone cant have added salt or high cholesterol. Now, food has been wasted and I'd have to wait longer all because staff can't just slow down and listen to the customer. They also make no eye contact. They don't speak. They just pass the sandwich from person to person.I just feels very impersonal, and like you're just trying to make me a sandwich and get me out of there, and then your the machine wants to ask me to tip. What am I tipping for when i'm not even getting good customer service.
