We ate here with family recently. My aunt and uncle said they dined here a few times after visiting my other uncle who was being treated at the hospital near by at the time. We went for lunch on the weekend at which in addition to the regular menu, you were given the option of having the three course price fixed menu. The three course menu has plenty of options to get you bang for your buck per day for $15.95. For appetizer they had options of soup, salad or pasta. I got the pasta fagoli soup which was plentiful with pasta, beans and vegetables. Plenty in every scoop. I had the eggplant parmigiana for entree. I liked how the eggplant cutlets were thin, but I think mine was slightly over cooked. Desserts had many options as well. I went for the tiramisu which was spot on in flavor but I wished there was a texture contrast of crunchy lady finger cookies to the smooth creme of the tiramisu layers. My sister and mom got the toasted almond creme cake that tasted just like a good humor ice cream bar. Wished I had ordered that instead. Service was good. The actual restaurant itself is on the small side. There is a bar on the side and limited number of table seating. The lot to the side is very tight for parking and can be difficult to get your car in and out of the lot. Torn. Hearing the raving reviews of this institution, finally gave it a try. Rigatoni a la Vodka: on point. Fried Calamari: mediocre. Baked clams: disappointing at best. We received the clams upside down and appeared to be thrown in the container. I called the restaurant to make them aware, hostess was apologetic. Passed the phone on to the manager "Tim" who essentially blamed me "I can't control how you carried them" He continued my saying Baked Clams were packaged properly. He wound up hanging up on me without even a simple apology. When I called the restaurant back the pleasant hostess said "yeah he can be like that." I eat a lot of eggplant parm and this is by far one of my favorite places to order from. The marinara sauce is amazing. Excellent eggplant parmasean! The single portion is enough for 3 people to share. You must order the balsamic portobello mushroom appetizer! It's so scrumptious. It really does taste like steak. What can I say about Antonino's that hasn't been said by word of mouth. This long-standing Long Island secret has been a treat to me for a long time! I have been coming here since I was a little girl and continue to do so today! The food is probably their greatest strength in my opinion. I cannot get enough of their Calamari Aribiata! If you are in town and would like some delicious appetizers, I would recommend that dish to any seafood lover! A good review wouldn't be good without mentioning a fault or two. Although difficult to find, I would say their greatest weakness is the size of their dining room. It is a little small and I feel like people can hear my conversations with my friends! Ate here last night and thought the pastas were absolutely delicious!! I had the penne alla vodka and my boyfriend had the baked ziti. Both were great and a decent portion. Food was delicious. We had a department luncheon the 1st time I went and the service was great and in a very timely manner. We sat here for our lunch break and we ate and did not have to rush back to work. I ordered a few times after for lunch as it very near. The food is good and the restaurant is very clean. We have been wanting to stop in for years. Finally, we did. Great place. Cute with warm and welcoming staff. We enjoyed many items from the menu. Soups, pasta, entrees, dessert, and coffee. Came here for dinner on a Friday night. Restaurant wasn't too crowded. It had a nice family vibe. Had the Calamari Arrabbiata and the Mussels Luciano for appetizers. Both were good, but I really enjoyed the calamari. The arrabbiata style plum tomato sauce was excellent. For entree I tried the Fettuccine Alfredo which was very good. First time here but also my last. Plain slice was good, tasty sauce with a thin crust. We ordered the lunch special which was not a great deal actually. We had the chicken francaise, flavor was okay but chicken was dry. The side pasta was extremely small, ordered the penne vodka which was just okay. And we ordered a chocolate cake which came as a small round cake not a sliced chocolate cake with layers as expected and described by the waiter. It tasted stale, dry and hard. I know it's an Italian restaurant but we also ordered fries because my husband loves fries and was craving them. They were awful, frozen fries but they had a horrible taste of oil. I couldn't eat them. The pizza was good but everything else was a disappointment. I should have asked for another dessert when I realized it was old and notified them about the fries, such a waste of money. We were the only table there but service was lacking. read more

They also offer a very nice Prix fixe, worth every penny. I am a bit of a pizza snob, and just won't eat pizza anywhere. But this is one of the few places that I do. read more

This is a very good restaurant. I'd go even further to say that I'm gradually becoming a regular here. I'd love to be able to give this restaurant a 4 or even a 5 rating. But they'll want to address some operational deficiencies first. Perfect example is the last time I went there. We let them know we were sitting outside, and they acknowledged it, but it took forever for them to come outside with menus (10-15 minutes). When they came, I asked for one thing, which was the bread toasted. It finally came, and was not. The guy that brought it didn't speak a word of English, but luckily I speak a bit of Spanish. When the server came, he took our order. One dish came with a side. I asked "What are the option?" he replied Broccoli and Spinach. I asked for the spinach. Somehow we ended up with an extra side of broccoli rabe, and we got charged about $9 extra. They took care of it, but I hardly caught it because the receipt was completely illegible. I had to count how many things I ordered and how many things they charged me for to realize that something went wrong. On the upside, they have one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had (crust was very tasty, would never even know it was gluten-free). They have a very nice bronzino, and I like their pasta and desserts. Outdoor seating is key here, and is usually wide open. You're sitting in a parking lot, but it's still very nice. Cost-wise, I don't think this place is a deal overall, but there are things on the menu that are good value. If you like Italian food and want to try something new, I think you'll be pleased, overall. read more

It's travesty that a good slice of pizza is so hard to find in Manhasset. The pizza here is far superior to Gino's, Villa Milano, and whatever Randazzo's/Billy Dee's/Brooklyn's pizza is calling itself these days. But this is far from an above average pizza joint. Antonino's is a full fledged first rate Italian restaurant. Here are a few of my favorites in no particular order: Lobster Ravioli, house salad and dressing(although a little thick, very zesty), calamari arrabbiata appetizer, seafood risotto, and the fried zucchini sticks appetizer... ok, now I know where I'm going to get lunch today. Pros: Good pizza, good food, outside seating for those nice days, helpful staff. Cons: Most awkward parking lot EVER. Unless you like backing out halfway blind into the busiest intersection in town I suggest parking on the street or in the lot up the hill. They also have sub par garlic knots that don't really taste like anything. Go there, you won't be disappointed. read more

I've never actually eaten in here, I've only grabbed take out one time.. place seems cute, nice enough.. we order buffalo chicken Caesar salads from work ALL OF THE TIME. They have the best buffalo chicken, everyone always loves it. One taste and they're hooked! They have really good pizza too.. their specialty pies... obv the buffalo chicken lol, and I love the Bella! Have them cook it a bit longer as the toppings on that pie are broccoli rabe, Mozz, and sausage, and they're heavy! It was okay, when we drove by it looked like a super cute place that would have homemade italian food that tastes like grandma's cooking, but when we tried the food, it was like the pasta you get from a pizza joint. I'm giving this place 4 stars but based off of my lunch. I work in Long Island but live in Queens so you can imagine how weird it was to find out they didn't have seamless around my work area. I ordered the greek salad without anchovies, the bruschetta and a side of broccoli and oil. So the bruschetta was actually a salad. It's all tomatoes and came with bread. Luckily, I freaking LOVE tomatoes so this was amazing! I saved the greek salad for the next day since the bruschetta turned out to be a salad in itself. The greek salad was actually just as good as the bruschetta. The broccoli in garlic and oil actually tasted like it was sauteed in garlic and oil lol I deducted 1 star because it's super expensive for delivery! It really shouldn't be. However I would definitely recommend this if you are in the great neck, community drive area. read more

I mean this place is so much more than a pizza place. It's a great pizza place but it's also great Italian food. I actually drove there after being discharged from the hospital after having one of my kids. I waited in the car for my hubby to bring me a pie and some salad. So I tell my 18 year old daughter that was her first adventure after being born. It's also a place to get take out if you have be stuck at North Shore Hospital for any reason with a loved one. I think the service is friendly. The only bad part is leaving the parking lot and having to make a left which is virtually impossible. My parents brought me here for the first time back in November '16. I remember it being super filling and I had leftovers for days. I went to Antonio's again for lunch with my dad. We both ordered off the $15 price fix lunch menu. I ordered a Greek salad to start, lasagna for my main, and a cannoli for dessert. The lunch portions are a little smaller than the dinner portions, but I still couldn't finish my whole meal. I took half the lasagna and the entire cannoli home. My dad, on the other hand, devoured his haha. You can't beat that price for the quality of food you get at Antonio's. My only complaint is the parking. It's a tight squeeze. Pulling out onto the road is difficult because of the blind spots so be careful! read more

I was shocked by the low quality of this food considering how highly other Yelpers reviewed this place. The first issue with this place isn't even the food; the lights in this restaurant dim constantly as if they are using a microwave or something in the back and the amount of power usage is too much for the restaurant. The baked clams were the absolute worst baked clams I've ever eaten before. They were soft, fishy, and overall terrible. I ordered chicken parm which was tasty; but the sauce was hot and the chicken itself was not even warm which was a very strange thing to come out of a kitchen. The rigatoni a la vodka was alright, nothing special at all. Overall, you couldn't pay me to go back to this place after the bad experience that I had there. Had to admit, I never eat in there, just take out and delivery and lots of time, from office lunch party. But everything is good; they don't have anything I don't like. I have worked a few blocks from Antonio's for the past 5 years and with limited places to order from, I can probably cite their menu for you. Someone who works in my office and came from Italy eats 2 slices from here every day. I am not joking!!! My most favorite is their eggplant rollatini, either meal on the pizza. I don't really eat pizza but I do like their pizza, especially the thin square one. Another favorite is penne ala vodka. I came here tonight for dinner. I haven't been here in several years - I came when it first opened but only to order pizza for take out. It was always good but I hadn't come in a very very long time. For some reason my cousin had a craving for this place so we stopped in. It was my first time eating at the place itself as opposed to getting something to go. And I was pleasantly surprised. The wait staff is attentive and very nice. The food was great. Their bread is great. The garlic knots are awesome. My cousin had a salad slice. I had one of their specials, mussels oreganata. It was delicious. We both had a side of meatballs, it was very tasty. I was already full and I hadn't even gotten my entree yet - I ordered the veal bruschetta. I ended up taking it to go because I was already full on everything else. The portions here are really generous. We had dessert. I tried the chocolate mousse (it is a layered with white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate mousses on top of a chocolate cake base). It was amazing. My cousin had the pecan cake and she said it was good. I would definitely come back here again and more often. Came here the other night with my wife for dinner around 7pm. The place was pretty packed (pretty small area) but we were seated right away. It took a few minutes, but a waiter finally came over and took our drink/appetizer order. Our appetizers came out relatively quick (bruschetta, salad and a rice ball). We had asked on more than one occasion for bread but didn't get it till we were done with our meal. Our entrees came out and were good. My wife had a seafood dish and I got the spaghetti bolognese. The sauce was ok, a little too vinegary but definitely not terrible. The food was decent but my gripe with the place is the service. They had 2 servers (1 guy and 1 blonde girl) serving every table including the tables outside. While they did their best, the service could have been better but you can't blame it on them. There were employees standing by the kitchen doing nothing watching these two people bust their butts. Also, I literally counted 5 groups of people that ended up walking out after waiting for a table in the hour we were there. The people sitting next to us waited 10 minutes for their check and were quite upset. More employees = better/faster service = getting customers out the door faster = more customers seated = $$$$$ Not too hard of a concept to grasp.
