    Tortellini en brodo
    Chris P.

We had lunch here to celebrate my friend's kids first Communion. The restaurant was small. There was tiny parking lot. Service staff were a bit overwhelmed that they forgot my friend's appetizer order. Food portions were generous. They definitely know how to cook their chicken dishes. My husband enjoyed his chicken francese and I had the chicken parmesan. I also enjoyed the Tortellini in brodo and my husband enjoyed his minestrone soup. There were desserts on the prix fixe and two of those desserts were sold out before 2pm. We got the carrot cake and that was good. This is a hidden gem. We would go back.

While small and unsuspecting, this place is pretty nice. I got a grilled Veal Parmesan which was pretty good. The service is good and the food comes out fast. Overall a pleasant experience. The ambiance here is nice. Besides the small parking lot, this place is pretty good.

This place has been here for a long time, so I figured I'd give it a try, parking is a bit challenging as spots are limited, during lunch it was packed because they do have lunch specials, but the quality of food is just so so I don't think I would be coming back I believe they get most of their business is from the commercial businesses and medical facilities in the area and lots of delivery.

Hubby and I came here unexpectedly. We decided to stop and dine here since it was time to eat. Also, it was good to dine while the traffic to NY was still bad. We had a good waiter named Ismil. He was professional and polite. Our opening was calamari. It was pretty good but I found that to be just like any other calamari. Then I had Seafood Marechiaro and Hubby had a Veal Parmigiana. My seafood dish was very good! Tasty! Hubby loved his veal parm. They made the right portion for us. We were satisfied with our dishes. I don't mind coming back to try other dishes. The restaurant is pretty big, with comfortable dining areas. It's a good neighborhood Italian restaurant, and we believe they cater well to their customers who live in the area. It was worth a try.

Best pizza, pasta, fish hands down. Excellent service, ideal place to go for dinner. Their prices are competitive and the small place fits quite a few tables. They also have a great take out business. I always enjoy coming here with my grandparents when I visit them. We will for sure be back

    Greek salad. Not bad.

Gotta love the work lunch reviews. What do I mean? Ya know, when you order from a place weekly and have never actually been to the spot. Perhaps one might state that you're missing some of the needs to properly review an establishment without being inside and actually ordering in person...for me, I'll look the other way if you will...yes? Okay, then keep reading about the tastiness of Antonino's. You see, Antonino's (not Antonio's despite your brain wanting you to say/see that) wasn't always our usual Friday lunch order spot. It's only recently become that due to getting a little tired of our other usual Manhasset lunch location (sorry Gino's) and needing something refreshingly different. I use that word refreshing because Antonino's house salad is ridiculously tasty. Marinated artichoke hearts and mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and some of the tasty basics (red onion, tomato, cucumber, romaine lettuce) makes up this delicious bowl of greens and such. Put some creamy balsamic dressing on top and you'll be smitten. Now I'd easily be able to slap five stars on Antonino's if that were the only item I've ordered, but having interest in trying a myriad of other food options, I've found some items to borderline the great-good level. Case in point would be the Greek salad and walnut salad. Both are totally solid salad options, but they don't necessarily balance out the flavors like that Antonino's house salad does. I will give props to Antonino's lunch special where you can get a whole personal pizza (thinner crust and quality ingredients) plus a soup or salad for $16. I did this once and chowed down on a scrumptious Italian wedding soup complete with massive meatballs. Yum. Overall, Antonino's has plenty of wonderfully flavorful food options (especially for lunch). Maybe not everything is amazing, but you'll find plenty of items to love without ever needing to go there to enjoy it. Be like my coworkers and I and just order for delivery!

    Mussels Luciano (White Sauce)

Recently dined here while visiting my family during a weeknight. We were quickly seated and greeted with complimentary bread and butter, a nice touch, but not too uncommon with the restaurants in the area. Our server was friendly, although there were some inconsistencies in their service. For our appetizer, we ordered the Mussels Luciano with white sauce. They were cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all, with a thin but well-seasoned sauce. Solid appetizer, no complaints. Moving on to the main course, the Pasta alla Vodka was also great. I ordered it with rigatoni and the prosciutto, peas, and onions option. The rigatoni was cooked al dente, and the sauce had a savory and subtle sweet flavor profile. However, I was disappointed there was virtually no prosciutto and not too many peas, despite paying extra for them. The addition wasn't even enough to change the flavor profile all that much. Additionally, our server told us that the dish came with bread when we ordered, but it never ended up arriving. Next, we ordered the Seafood Marechiaro, which was also made with decent shrimp, calamari and mussels and nicely al dente squid ink pasta. However, we think it could have been better if they improved the proportions. The dish is definitely heavier on the seafood, without enough pasta to appreciate. We should have known since it was listed as a seafood dish instead of a pasta dish, but we just kinda expected a better balance between the seafood and the pasta (especially since this was the only dish on the menu with squid ink pasta). The sauce was decent here, nothing too special. Again, the server mentioned the dish coming with salad which never ended up coming. The interior has that classic Italian restaurant vibe to it. The parking space is limited, so plan accordingly. While the portion sizes were overall good, there's room for improvement in adjusting the ingredient proportions. Plus, it would have been better if they hadn't promised side plates if they weren't going to be provided, as it left us feeling disappointed.

I have ate this place years ago when I used to work in the area. I brought the chicken parmigiana sandwich along garlic knots. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and attentive. It was crowded with indoor dinning, the ambiance is much cozy, not much really spacious. Very affordable prices.

Excellent pizza. Try the penne a la vodka slice or entree. The Greek salad is nicely presented.

We would not have come back except we had plans with friends who wanted to meet here. So glad we did! My main complaint before was the acoustics. The renovation with added decor to dampen noise did the trick. I didn't even notice that the restaurant was full. We ordered different dishes and ate it family style so got to try a few different dishes. I didn't order so don't know the specific names but we shared a salad, a spicy calamari, egg yolk ravioli, black linguini with seafood, catfish, and a veal parm. I especially enjoyed the ravioli. Flavors were nice on all the dishes. I don't know if it was the company but I didn't notice a lapse in service. The servers were attentive. The parking was still ample. I'm glad we came back and a little regretful that we waited so long.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and every single person from the host to the bartender to our server and everyone in between played a part in making the night feel special. The attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed, and it set the tone for the entire evening. We were first greeted with warm bread and olive oil, which was absolutely delightful and the perfect start. Our server, Paulino (I hope I'm spelling his name right), guided us through the menu with such care and knowledge, which made the experience even better. We started with the mussels Bianco and baked clams both were outstanding, easily a 9/10. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we had the branzino and a pasta dish that was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail like freshly cracked pepper added right at the table made everything feel elevated and thoughtfully done. To end the night, I mentioned that my mom had just passed her real estate exam and that we were celebrating her. They went above and beyond by bringing out an apple crostini with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. And yes, we devoured the entire thing. It was that good. Truly a 10000/10 moment. What made this experience even more meaningful is that it came after a long, stressful day at the ER. Walking into such warmth, care, and genuine hospitality meant more than I can put into words. Thank you again for the incredible service, attentiveness, and overall experience. I truly wish I could remember everyone's names because each person we encountered was a pleasure. Please let them know my mom and I are so grateful. We dined on April 3rd around 9 PM, and it's a night we won't forget.

Fortunately, we did arrive early, since over the next hour the restaurant filled up, with quite a few people waiting for a table. The restaurant is unpretentious, with seating fairly close together. Now for the food. Before ordering, the owner stopped by, and told us some of the restaurants history, and him being the longtime owner of over 4 decades. He then recited the evenings specials along with interjecting a couple of very funny stories. Each special sounded incredible, and we began our meal with a couple of glasses of a tasty Montepulciano. We shared, one the evening's special appetizers of luscious & creamy zucchini flowers. For entrees my wife ordered one the specials of shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat, in a lobster sauce. She couldn't stop talking about how fantastic it tasted. My only comment was although outstanding, the portion size consisted of 4 shrimp, which was more than enough for my wife, but someone with a bigger appetite may find the order a bit skimpy. For my entree I was drawn to something, which I rarely see on a menu, chicken livers. Although, I thought, for sure, that was what I would choose, the owner in going over the specials cited some of the best menu items, one of which was lasagna. I then told the owner about my dilemma, and I asked him to choose, and the lasagna won out. Although, I missed not having the chicken livers, I consider myself a lasagna aficionado, and, without question, this lasagna moved up to near the top of the list. We ended the meal by having a homemade chocolate layer cake, which was divine. I apologize for not taking any pictures, but I was so excited about the food that my taste buds overrode any thoughts of snapping photos. Finally, definitely run to this restaurant ASAP, but, if possible, I recommend, if possible, to go during the week to avoid the crowds of an obviously very popular restaurant.

We were there on a Saturday night and it was packed with couples waiting by the bar while we had dinner, so reservations are suggested. There's a coat room, the bathroom was clean, and the four of us were seated near a fake fireplace in the middle of the dining room. They put out a complimentary bread basket (with rolls ... and a bagel!) with butter, plus (tonight) a complimentary little rice ball with tomato sauce (that looked like a meatball). My wife enjoyed their Cosmopolitan cocktail and I equally enjoyed their Montepulciano red wine (sorry I didn't make note of the brand or year). Hers was $22.00 and mine was $17.00. The stracciatella soup was delicious. It was one of five soup choices, all priced between $17.50-$19.50. One of our friends ordered a seafood salad appetizer (calamari, shrimps, scallops, clams) for $27.00, which was large enough for two, so he had the second half boxed to go. His wife ordered the "Charlotte salad" ($19.00) with mushrooms, asparagus & roasted pepper over mixed greens. The ladies both ordered the branzino entree ($49.00 each). I was tempted by the osso bucco special, but didn't feel like spending $72.00, so I ordered the "fettucine alla bocelli," which was a bolognese sauce with chicken and veal (instead of beef ... a nice, lighter variation), topped with a handful of dried ricotta ... for $29.75, which was very good and the leftovers will be part of tomorrow's dinner. My friend ordered the "Rigatoni Stresa," which came with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes, for the same price as mine. We also ended with decaf cappuccinos and a dessert platter with four samples, plus mini biscotti. We ate like kings and paid the piper beaucoup bucks. For some, it's everyday fare, but for us it's more for a special occasion, and we hope to return. Food and service was great from start to finish and the ambiance is classy/dressy.
