We accidentally found this place because thyme was closed on Mondays and I have to say I was blown away by the quality of food, service, view, and how tucked away and yet busy it was on a Monday night. We ordered the bronzino and steak and especially the steak was incredible. We also had the fall salad which they had thoughtfully put in two plates. Again amazing perfection of taste with crunchiness of the roasted nut. I'm not drinking alcohol right now but they had two zero proof wines from Tuscany that was pretty good. I was realllyyyy excited to come here! It was our first time, we were celebrating a birthday, and we specifically chose Felice because we were excited for the atmosphere and to eat outside. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, which obviously isn't the restaurant's fault. What WAS incredibly disappointing was their solution: instead of seating us inside the actual restaurant, they walked us over to a completely separate, off-premise catering room nearby. We were literally the ONLY people sitting in this random room. It felt like we had been removed from the restaurant entirely and stuck in an overflow event space and not exactly the birthday dinner or Felice experience we made a reservation for. What made it worse was the host's attitude. Despite there appearing to be plenty of available tables inside the actual restaurant, she flat-out refused to seat us there and essentially told us we could either sit in the catering room or go somewhere else. No apology, no attempt to accommodate us, and honestly just incredibly dismissive and rude. It was such a bizarre and unwelcoming way to treat first-time guests. The food at least started off strong. The bruschetta and eggplant were both great! For dinner, we had the chicken Milanese and cacio e pepe, and neither was anything special. Our server was nice and the service itself was pretty good so I don't want that to go unnoticed BUT being shoved into an empty catering room and basically told to take it or leave it by the host completely overshadowed the rest of the night. I visited during the winter, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor seating, but it looks like it would have a great summer vibe with all the outdoor tables. Super cute location, hidden off the main road. The backyard/ outdoor seating area is lovely, right off the lake. This is a perfect spot for date night or a small group, very intimate setting. In nicer weather it's hard to not sit near the lake next to that big weeping willow tree contemplating life or what pasta dish you're going to try. When they say hidden gem, it's because it's literally hidden. You need to know where it is on Old Northern Blvd, or go with someone who knows. The restaurant is very nice. Well appointed, Northern-Italy-ish decor. The menu is great, and certainly worth sharing apps with a group. The pasta course isn't too big of a serving, good enough to share if you're doing an entree too, which I would recommend. Service was ok, needed a few reminders for things, like drinks, silver, ground pepper, etc - but all ok. And not sure if service knows the menu very well - a question was asked about preparation and a preference requested - what came out indicated a breakdown somewhere. The food quality was all very good, and the presentation was nice. At least as good as anything you would get in the authentic Italian eateries in the Bronx or Brooklyn, with Roselyn pomp and circumstance, and prices. My one recommendation might be to offer something more adventurous to supplement the classics. There's nothing wrong with classics done perfectly with great ingredients, just a suggestion. read more

We came in as a group of 13 with a reservation and were seated immediately. We were given bread and oil for the table and ordered a bunch of appetizers for the entire group. First off, the ambiance and decor was amazing. I loved their subtle but festive Christmas decorations. We had dinner late at night so we couldn't see much outside, but this place is on a body of water and I believe there is outdoor seating. That would be amazing for summer time! Their food was amazing. It is on the pricier side, but the quality is definitely there. Also, be aware that the restaurant is not directly on the street- you have to go down a little alley towards the water to reach the restaurant. It's super cute and I would probably go again. The service is also really good and that's saying something because sometimes restaurant in this area can be quite snooty for zero reason. Planned a fun surprise birthday dinner here and everything went so well thanks to the lovely people at Felice. The food was so yum and they gave us a perfect table overlooking the water towards the back. What we ordered: Ricotta with spicy honey and figs- so savory and perfect to start. Big enough for everyone to get a piece. Arancini- delicious and comes with a really nice aioli/tartar sauce which is better than the typical. Milanese: Super crispy and delicious, served with arugula and tons of lemon. Loved it. * everyone else ordered pastas and everything seemed to be a hit especially the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe. Sauces super flavorful but not too heavy. For dessert they brought out the bday girl was a cute little brownie and we also ordered the delicia Al limone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I promise you, your gps isn't lying to you, we drove down the street a couple times only to realize it's down the quaint little alley way. Once you go walk down your presented this beautiful outdoor seating area that's even nice to look at night. I wish it was earlier and maybe not October because it seems they didn't have outdoor seating this evening. Regardless as usual we opted for the bar. We started with the Anita and espresso martini. The Anita was so bright and the right amount of sweet. The espresso martini packed a punch. Our bartender had his family there and it was very sweet. He still managed to regularly check on us and make sure we were well taken care of. He made this awesome recommendation of this Smokey drink to the gentleman next to us. Just another reason we would come back. We also had gotten the Ruby and felice martini. The Ruby is spirit free but he made it for us with vodka. It was amazing and something kind of different. The felice martini was standard but good. For apps we got the Arancini and the burrata and prosciutto. The arancini were good but probably my least favorite that we got. The arancini themselves weren't really anything special but I loved the unusual sauce it was served with, a horseradish cream sauce. The burrata and prosciutto was a little pricey, but they do give you a nice sized portion and quality prosciutto. For entree we got the rigatoni Al salmone and the cacio y Pepe. Again the salmon pasta was something different. It was bits of smoked salmon and the rigatoni was cooked perfectly Al dente. The cacio y pepe a classic but done so well. Wish they had a Cesar Salad on the menu. I ordered the chicken Milanese and the cutlet was served hot and perfectly crisp. The tomato and lettuce on top was not my favorite. I asked for some balsamic glaze on the side and it made the dish better. They should go back to a time when they added that in the kitchen. One person in my party order the branzino and requested no capers and no salt. They said it's pre made in parchment and they could not accommodate. I'm sorry, at these prices they can and should make one from scratch to accommodate someone's dietary requirements. I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but for me: 1. The food was good not great especially considering the price point. 2. Place is pretty 3. The tables are very close together I felt like I was eating with the people next to me who were just as close to me as the people at my table. I left a little disappointed. I booked a dinner at Felice Roslyn to celebrate my wedding anniversary, but the experience was disappointing. The restaurant was mostly empty--maybe 15% full. We were seated at a small table and asked to move to a booth. Shortly after, the table next to us made the same request and was accommodated. When we asked again, the manager told us it wasn't possible because the restaurant was "completely booked." That made no sense, considering the place was nearly empty and another party was given a booth after us. At that point, we decided to leave. We ended up dining at another restaurant that was at least 80% full, and they had no issue seating us in a booth. That just reinforced how unreasonable and inconsistent the service was at Felice. A friend had already recommended against coming here, but I wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately, this experience proved them right. Definitely won't be returning. read more

One of the things that I love are small towns of North East and the little treasures they hide. Felice outdoor seating by the little pond with swans is one of them. The service is always friendly and the service staff do go above and beyond. The menu however is hit or miss. While the staples are good: meatballs, calamari the entrees are hit or miss. Chicken Milanese is a staple at every Italian restaurant so how can one get it wrong? Well, deep fry the thing back to eternity and forget to use spices - meh! Sampled the bruschetta, calamari with fried artichoke, fig and ricotta toast- all were great. For entree opted for a simple fusilli with burrata and red sauce. Very well done, great pasta.
