Stopped by Ant's Ice Cream after lunch at a nearby restaurant and decided to try their ice cream flights. We ordered two flights which included four flavors each for a little over $16. One thing to note is that some flavors come with an additional surcharge, which was a bit disappointing since the flight price isn't completely all-inclusive. We sampled a wide range of flavors through the flight: ube, pistachio, coconut, durian, black sesame, jasmine milk tea, cookies & cream, and pandan. The standout flavors for me were the pandan, black sesame, and ube. Each flavor was distinct and prominent. The ice cream had a very stretchy consistency that while some may enjoy, I found a little too gummy for my preference. The plastic spoons provided also weren't quite sturdy enough for the dense texture, making it somewhat difficult to scoop and eat. The shop itself is fairly small with only a handful of tables available both inside and outside. Seating is limited, but it's a nice spot for a quick dessert stop if you're already in the area and interested in trying some unique Asian-inspired flavors. Easy parking in the shared lot.
One of my favorite ice cream joint, more than 20+ flavors with a nice atmosphere. The service is attentive and are able to get free samples before picking. Thanks Mr. Ant!
Found this place down the street after leaving a concert. Place was semi crowded but very snug inside. The digital menus are the main point of ordering (presumably). I tried a few samples but felt hesitant asking since the worker wasn't too enthused, granted it was late, but I wish they were a little more inviting. After nearly 15 minutes of scrolling on their menu, I settled on the lychee ice cream. My partner got the strawberry shortcake with a waffle bowl with biscoff crumbs. Lychee ice cream was good, but I disliked the consistency of the frozen lychee pieces. The strawberry shortcake had the same issue, whole pieces of rock hard frozen strawberries. Overall, I'd probably be back but only if I'm in the area. It was good, but portion wise for price, I've had more ice cream for less money and same if not higher quality.
Cute little dessert spot that had a big variety of Southeast Asian flavored treats. They had flavors like pandan mung bean, durian, lychee, dubai chocolate, and a lot of classic flavors like cookies n cream. In addition to ice cream, I also saw a lot of drinks on the menu as well as waffles, croffles, and banana floats. I went on a Thursday night and they were sold out of maybe 5 ice cream flavors unfortunately The shop is pretty small with limited seating though so when a group of 5 came in, it felt kinda cramped in there. Service was great though and they give pretty generous sized samples. I shared an ice cream sampler with my boyfriend. The texture varied a bit but the texture on some of them reminded me of a thicker version of gelato. These are the flavors we got in order of most to least favorite: durian, lychee, mango, and ube pistachio. The ube pistachio was my least favorite by far though because it left a weird aftertaste in my mouth

As someone who is Vietnamese and grew up in a Vietnamese home, eating durian is one of the best fruits that tastes good despite the smell. I found this place on Instagram, and because of the constant Asian flavors featured in those ads. I quickly got intrigued and decided to drive here before I started work as a tour guide. I tried to pick the Pandan mung bean ice cream and the avocado flavours, but because of its popularity and with Father's Day a few days ago. It was all sold out. I can really tell that this place sells the best Asian ice cream, especially classic flavors. Some of the ice cream flavors had Vietnamese names to them because some of them are popular in Vietnam and in overseas Vietnamese households. I ordered the banana split because it's my first time eating it. I can also customize my own banana split. I picked Pandan and grass jellies. I also picked black sesame since it almost tastes like chocolate or whey. I also picked vanilla and I also got durian. There was also chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. The banana split tasted so good. This place also has good wifi. There's also two tablets you can use to order what you want. .
Was looking to a dinner and spotted this place near by and super glad we did. First off, they make their ice cream in-house!! How fantastic is that?! And their flavors are not your typical vanilla and chocolate. They have everything from durian to Vietnamese coffee and yuzu cheesecake. We got lucky that they were testing out a new flavor, peach oolong tea, so we were able to test and OMGoodness! It was delicious! Staffs were super friendly and service was fast. It is quite a small location with a few indoors seating but they do have outdoors seating as well. Their drinks also look intriguing and yummy, definitely will be back to try along with other flavors. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Parking: 5/5
This review has been long-overdue, and I am finally just getting to this. Really great ice cream flavors from both classic to unique that can be found here. Some of my personal favorites are the lychee ice cream, the pandan mung bean, and the ube pistachio. My bestie is a fan of their avocado-durian float. Recently, the bestie and I were able to try their pandan waffle, and the texture and flavor is perfect. They got it down to a tee where the waffle, especially when fresh out of the waffle-maker, has a consistent crunchy but soft and chewy interior that blends all nicely. The place constantly has different flavors that they put out, and they're very good about offering samples too. The space is clean, can be small, but there's a small outdoor seating area too. Service here is great. The owner, Anthony, and his brother are incredibly welcoming and patient. They're super hard workers too who clearly care about the quality and experience of their guests. The plaza they're located in has ample parking space too.
Tip: Ask for a sample! The staff will gladly let you try as many! They're super friendly :) Jasmine milk tea + boba: OMG the jasmine flavor tastes exactly like the taiwanese boba shops. Idk how they did it, but they were able to put that exact flavor into this ice cream! I am a jasmine tea fanatic, and I am always looking for this flavor. With the new upcoming boba shops, that distinct jasmine flavor has been slowly disappearing. So when I tried this jasmine milk tea at Ant's, I almost wanted to cry LOL plus it came with boba! and it was WARM. AND CHEWY. AND SOFT. AND DELICIOUS. I will stop here because I could just go on and on about this flavor lol 1000000/10 would recommend! Vietnamese coffee: Not too sweet and not too strong. Don't get me wrong, I like my coffee strong, but sometimes it can be too overpowering for an ice cream flavor. The flavor was perfect and done so well. (round of applause) lol! Ube Pistachio: So sooooo good! Not sure if I tasted pistachio much? or maybe it was for the pistachio bits that were sprinkled on top. But still good and delicious! Avocado Durian: This was soooo good! I wish there was more durian in it. But maybe that would increase the price. Nevertheless, I would still get it! :) Ambiance & Service: Cozy, local mom & pop shop! The shop might be a little hard to find in the plaza. But I want it that way to gatekeep the shop lol Service is EXCELLENT! The staff are so nice and friendly. I am a pretty indecisive person, but I also felt bad for asking multiple samples. But the guy was super nice and reassured me it was fine. It takes me almost an hour to get here, but I can't wait to come back!
I was looking for a dessert spot nearby that stayed open a bit later, and the name of this place sounded so familiar. I then remembered that I used to order their ice cream back when they were selling from home in Alhambra! I was so happy to see they've opened a storefront. The ice cream is just as delicious and flavorful as I remembered. My favorite flavors are black sesame and coffee, but during my visit I tried the dragon fruit and black sesame, and both were excellent. The quality and richness really stand out, and it was such a nostalgic treat to enjoy again. I'm glad to see how much they've grown, and I'll definitely be back for more.
Leaving a review so this place never closes. That is how good it is. Fresh ingredients, everything hits, zero complaints. Hidden gem that deserves to stay hidden just enough to keep my table available. Do not sleep on this place.
Cute spot I found to take the girls for "girls day". It's a day celebrated in Japan. This place has 12 seats, not including the side bench and is comfortable to chill. The flavors we got was: 08 Pandan Mung Bean 09 Vietnamese Coffee with Hong Kong style waffle 10 Lychee 24 Chocolate Chip The owner, ANThony, is really nice and gives pleasant service. Decor is cute.
Came here for a late night since it was opened late! It is a tiny shop tucked away in the corner. There was a few inside seats, and a few tables outside. Overall not too much seating areas. There are two ordering kisoks and if those are already in use then if a staff is free, theyll take your order at the front. When i went, there was quite a bit of people here, but that just means that it just has good stuff, right? They serve ice cream and drinks, this time around I only ordered a drink. But I'll definitely be back to try their ice cream since they had so many good flavors that I wanted to try out. I got a mango passionfruit smoothie at 50% sugar. It was still pretty sweet, so maybe next time I'll bump it down a bit more, but it was still delicious. It has lots of mango bits and the drink itself was super creamy and smooth. I didn't really get much of the passionfruit flavor, but the mango flavor did pull through.
Quick service and a lot of options of unique ice cream flavors. I got the sampler and they let you choose four options. All this was done through an iPad so it was easy to order. I got ube, cookies and cream, Dubai chocolate, and mango ice cream topped with whipped cream and waffle pieces. Ice cream was a nice sweet treat and portions were huge

Came here on a weeknight and I love that this place is open late for those late-night ice cream cravings! They have so many flavors to choose from, so there's definitely something for everyone. As a huge lychee fan, I immediately went for the lychee ice cream, and it was SO good! The lychee flavor was refreshing and came through really well without being too sweet. Ever since I tried it, I've honestly been wanting to go back and get it again. The shop itself is pretty small and it was busy when I went, but the service was still really good and everything moved pretty quickly. Overall, such a good spot for ice cream, especially if you're looking for somewhere open later. I'll definitely be back for the lychee! read more
I had to leave a review because my experience was just farcical. How r u gna serve the most stickiest gelato w/ the world's softest most delicate bendiest spoons and also take genuinely 15 min to receive 1 scoop of ice cream.. The system should be yall scooping it and then proceeding to check it out at the register... . ice cream waffles ice cream creations I can understand but for a scoop is insane. Service is also unobservant, and seems understaffed That being said, the feel and texture of their gelato is top tier.. It's sticky, flexible and ropey. Imagine a Chili's mozzarella stick cheese pull but gelato. I never struggled so much eating dessert, I'd come back because this is some good gelato. But I'm bringing my own utensils lol. I've been following Ant's Ice Cream since I first tried them at the night market at Asian Garden Mall. The night market is only during summer time so i was so excited when i heard that they were actually opening their own location! My mom and I been hooked since then on their lychee, Jackfruit, and durian ice cream. The reason why we liked it is because the flavors are rare and hard to find anywhere else. Also, I believe their ice cream is made with really fresh ingredients. You can really taste the freshness and flavor. My mom is extremely annoyingly picky but she actually likes the ice cream from Ant's a lot. I also tried the original flavors and I would highly recommend the strawberry but mostly the pistachio. It was so delicious.! I came for ice cream but the smell of the fresh brewing tea smelled too good to pass up. I tried the original milk tea and all I have to say is wow. You can really taste the strong tea flavor in the drink (which I really like and is usually really picky about). I will definitely be back to try other flavors! I love the inside as there's actually seating and tables inside and outside to mingle with friends. Really rare to see that these days. Customer service was friendly and great. They were patient and allowed us to try samples. read more

Cute little ice cream store inside a plaza and The workers there were really nice! We were able to sample their ice cream flavors. Lots of Asian inspired flavors to choose from. We ended up getting their black sesame ice cream and ube pistachio ice cream. Absolutely loved them. Texture of the ice creams were nice and creamy and flavor was on point! So so good! read more

Stopped by since this place was known for it's wide variety of Asian flavors. We came in at night time around 8-9pm and some flavors we wanted to try were sold out already. They offer ice cream flights which is a great deal if you want to try a variety of flavors or share with friends. We got the Vietnamese coffee, matcha green tea, ube, and jasmine green tea. All of the flavors tasted exactly how we imagined and the portions were decent. read more
Plenty of parking, kind of hidden in the back of a strip plaza. You can order on a tablet or with the staff. They have so much on their menu to choose from, from floats, to smoothies, ice cream, etc. it was delicious, jasmine milk tea ice cream with boba. It came out quick and delish. read more
Literally my current favorite go-to spot for ice cream. They have a good variety of flavors (come early since many of the popular ones are out by night time!); some common/usual flavors you find at ice cream shops, and other Asian flavors. They have some seating available inside the shop and also outside, and the inside of the shop is nicely decorated with two contactless ordering services. I normally see one or two people working at a time, so the wait time can vary (I think the longest I've had to wait was 15 minuets for the pandan egg waffle). I've tried most of the flavors and haven't had an issue with any of them. My favorite flavors are definitely: pandan (reminds me of bánh da lợn), dragonfruit (my friend says it says like dragonfruit hi-chews), ube (so rich!), and the avocado (creamy and light). I think the jasmine milk tea and matcha flavors act as palette cleansers if you decide to get the flight of ice cream, mainly because they're not as sweet and even have some bitter undertones. Literally waiting for the day when I can try the Thai tea and durian flavors! The cookies they include in the ice cream flight are also delicious. In terms of the egg waffle, I don't think it's as soft as Happy Lemon's but I still think the crisp is solid. The pandan waffle isn't too strong, but you can still taste some of the flavor. This place is a must for Durian lovers !!! We moved to Nevada a year ago, but we always go to Ant's for their durian ice cream and avocado durian dessert... Also, the owners are so nice and always make you feel so welcome in their store...that's probably another reason why my family love coming here. read more
Ant's Ice Cream Coffee and Boba is a local dessert spot in Garden Grove. This cute little shop surprises me every time I come. This time, I can late at night, and there were plenty of spots to sit at. The ice cream came out quickly, and boy were they delicious. I liked the Ube Pistachio as it was really creamy and the texture was slightly stretchy. The Avocado was very rich, almost a little too rich, but I enjoyed it a lot! The service was fine, as we ordered on the kiosk. Overall, Ant's Ice Cream is a delicious little dessert spot! I highly recommend! read more
We pulled up and the sign on the door said "Closed"... I think my wife about died as she had been craving something sweet. We opened the door and they were open, the sign was just the wrong way LOL. The inside is really cute, cozy and small. Lots of space to sit though, just a bit tight. We ordered the following: 1. Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup - 8/10 2. Strawberry / Banana Smoothie - 9/10 3. Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream - 10/10 Dubai cup was amazing, let me not take away from the flavors. I just wish the strawberries were cold and not too sour... I just had a couple that were bit sour for my pallet. If I had 1 recommendation, it would be to add more pistachio cream/butter inside.... Thats all.. The chocolate can be overwhelming... but... Its still soooooooo good!!! Strawberry banana smoothie, it was a perfect blend and sooooo delicious!! I only knocked it to a 9 because it tasted more banana flavor then mixed. Lets not take away that it was BOMB!! Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream has got to be the best i have ever had! If i could eat a whole container I think i could. It was a perfect scoop and it just was everything you wanted to taste like. I really enjoyed it. The guys at the front were really nice, very welcoming... We shall be back! Came here on a Sunday around 8pm. Fairly busy arrive was friendly plenty of seating. Parking lot available. One restroom. Tasting flavors available. WiFi available. Ordered the lychee ice cream was refreshing and tasted great not too sweet and texture was smooth. Pricier but worth the taste. Would come again! read more

Didn't take any pictures of our ice cream but they all came out cute. All the flavors we tried were really good. They offer samples if you want to try any before solidifying your choice. Everything tastes so fresh. They kids strawberry shortcake and dragonfruit was really good. Nothing as overly sweet. I like mint chip and I like pistachio but mint pistachio wasn't that great. I didn't see any vegan options. Would be awesome if they offered a couple for the vegans who tag along with ice cream lovers. If you want to do two different flavors, you'll need to purchase a large. Restrooms available for customers and a good amount of seating for those who want to enjoy their ice cream before heading out. Ample parking. read more
I was craving dessert and came across this place. I usually like getting dessert at night, but most places close early. Luckily, this one is open until 10-11pm. I ordered the croc waffle with pandan & mung bean ice cream and my god, the ice cream was so good with the waffle. I love pandan and mung bean, but I've never had them paired up as an ice cream flavor before, and they did not disappoint! I wish they had ice cream like this in my area. I also ordered the pandan waffle with vanilla bean ice cream, which was also amazingly good. The people working there were helpful and friendly. This will definitely be my go to spot for dessert whenever I'm in the area. read more
We wanted late night snack so we give this place a try. We order soursop and triple chocolate ice cream. The ice cream is average. The soursop flavor doesn't even come through. The price is high in my opinion for a small amount of ice-cream. We didn't interact much with the workers since this place you order through a kiosk. Although the ice cream is not up to par, their drink menu looks pretty good. Will try that next time. read more
ORDER dubai chocolate strawberry cup (5/5) honestly, i was a bit iffy about trying it since it was $16 but IT WAS SO WORTH IT!! if you've been wanting to try the dubai chocolate or the strawberries, this is definitely the place to try it!! the cup was PACKED with layers of strawberries, chocolate, pistachio cream, etc. i loved that it wasn't overly sweet as well. lychee ice cream (4/5) literally my FAVORITEEE!! i crave it so often, the only downside is it's expensive :') i do think it's worth it every now and then. the taste is like no other, kinda like lychee flavored vietnamese yogurt. perfect sweetness! they have a ton of unique flavors that aren't offered anywhere else. i love that the flavors aren't artificial. everyone's super nice so don't hesitate to sample the flavors! SERVICE soso nice! super caring so my experience here is always amazing. AMBIANCE small store, but i love that they're getting the recognition they deserve. it can be a bit busy, but you can order on the kiosk or on the toast app. plenty of parking! read more

Stopped by to grab ice cream but ended up getting a whole egg waffle with it. Ordered the pandan egg waffle with lychee flavored ice cream for $13. Price is a little steep imo but it was good. The pandan egg waffle just has a subtle pandan flavor to it, still maintaining some crisp as long as it's not sitting under the ice cream. The lychee ice cream was very fragrant, very true to the flavor of the fruit. read more
