Came at 2pm on a Saturday. Walked up and the door was locked with a sign that they were on a 10 minute break. All of a sudden a worker walks up to the other side use the key to open the door but ignores us and makes ice cream for herself. I got to the door she goes in and makes ice cream and when I pop my head in there to ask her if they're open, she said that she's on a 10 minute break. They had only been open for an hour and are already closed, even though store hours said they're open. So my wife and kids and I waited as she walked in and out, not trying to acknowledge us. I've been coming here since they've open and I've at solid every time. 1 scoop milky bun for dessert but even as a snack it's pretty filling. When I come it's never busy. Afters Ice Cream is a chain ice cream shop with unique flavors. Came here with a friend after dinner on a weeknight. It can be tricky to find since the sign only says "Ice Cream" without "Afters". Upon entering, we were not greeted. We took a few minutes to decide what we wanted to get. We sampled a few flavors. There is a new flavor of Matcha Berry Crunch which is matcha, strawberry, and white chocolate pearls. We ended up ordering 2 scoops in a cup with the Matcha Berry Crunch and Mango Sorbet to share. The Matcha Berry Crunch tastes like a Strawberry Matcha latte but with a lighter matcha flavor. The white chocolate pearls added a nice texture to the ice cream. The Mango Sorbet tasted juicy, as if we were eating a ripe mango. It is a small space inside, with no tables to dine at. There are a few tables outside. There is a merchandise wall and a freezer to purchase pints to go. Overall, giving Afters Ice Cream a 4/5. There is a good number of unique flavors. The two we got were solid choices. The price is a bit high, but sharing helps. There are a lot of ice cream shops around. Not sure if Afters particularly stands out as one of the best, but it would satisfy a sweet craving. read more

extremely disappointed with my most recent trip to afters!! i missed the milky bun i used to always order years ago so i got a late night craving & decided to pick up a milky bun with my favorite flavor, cookie monster & i saw on the tv that the milky bun includes one free topping so i opted to get the afters flakes. the person helping us split the milky bun in half & i was so disappointed to receive my bag with one half fully upside down & ice cream spilling out of both halves!! it was so messy & difficult to eat & it felt like we only had like a total of 5 tiny bites of ice cream honestly still love the ice cream here, so i'm just not getting a milky bun again read more

Came here on a Thursday night and the line was out the door! I was excited to try the new Strawberry Matcha Crunch flavor and it didn't disappoint. I love that we can sample the flavors as there are many flavors that are out of the norm. I wish there were other locations of this place and really sad that they closed both of their Irvine shops. The server was really sweet and she let us try as many flavors as possible before we committed to our orders. The whole vibe of the place was really cute , I really liked that they had BTS merch. I didn't know that afters had a collab with BTS. So that was a pleasant surprise. I forgot to write a review from my last SoCal trip 2-3 months ago, but I keep thinking about how bad my experience was that I am finally writing it now. Upon first arriving, I wasn't sure if this was actually an Afters Ice Cream because the sign was very vague. I was really excited to show someone this place but was disappointed in how different this Afters Ice Cream shop was in comparison to the many others I have been to. We were the only ones in the store and the workers were quite rude. I've never experienced anything like that at Afters. They seemed impatient and annoyed that I was asking to try samples. We felt rushed and pressured to decide and leave. This was reinforced by the fact there was no seating either. They didn't even have available napkins for us to take either. We were there two hours before closing so I don't think it had anything to do with them wanting to close up shop. I could see why this shop was so empty when we arrived. I ended up regretting my choice in ice cream because I felt so rushed in deciding what I wanted. The customer service was horrible and I wish the person I took didn't have such a bad first time experience with Afters Ice Cream. I wish we went to a different location but this was the closest one to us at the time. I would never come back to this location or recommend this spot to anyone else. read more

Honestly, I'm not sure why I haven't been here for YEARS. When I usually crave dessert, this place never comes into mind until recently. I've gone to the Long Beach location also recently so I decided to give this place a chance. I got the Double Scoop of Saigon Coffee & Cookie Monster. The best part about it is that it wasn't as sweet as I remembered (a good thing!). I love the milky flavor of the coffee and the cookie monster together so I highly recommend trying this combo if you're ever craving a coffee, chocolate chip flavor.
