Haven't gone out of my way to get rolled ice cream but this place exceeded my expectations! So many selections to choose from, including drinks! I got the Coffee and Cream while my boyfriend got the Monster Ink. Definitely would choose the Monster Ink. It had more flavor and wasn't too sweet (surprisingly with all the blue and drizzle). My coffee had more flavor than the "cream" part of it but it was still good nonetheless. I knew I wanted to try both these flavors, but now I know what to stick with for next time. We even got to choose our taco shell color! Though, I'm not sure if there was any difference in flavor for it.

I couldn't taste the waffle taco much on its own, but i did not care bc it was fun and colorful and the ice cream itself tasted great. Giving a 5/5 bc I have never seen another place offer this menu, so obvs it's one of a kind.
Saw this place on a drive from just having lunch. The U-turn to this place was unexpected and worth it. A browsed through the yelp solidified compelling reasons to visit. Atmosphere is great and welcoming. Staff was helpful and patient allowing us to browse the menu while emoji heart eyes were forming. Our group ordered 3 ice cream "sweet rolled" tacos and two drinks which included: 1. Birthday Cake 2. Vietnamese Ice Cream 3. Fruity Pebbles 4. Hawaiian 5. ?? Oops I forgot The tacos were so delish. Every bite was decadent. Waffle taco was thin, sweet, savory and crunchy while the ice cream was the perfect amount of sweetness. In summary, we'd totally come back and I can't wait to try all the other flavors. Don't forget to check out the specials on the chalk board. There's limited flavors such as black sesame. At one point, my 5 year old wanted more waffle tacos. I asked to purchase just a waffle taco cone and they hadn't ever been asked that so they gave it to me at no charge. What a sweet gesture. So glad I tipped them. The tip goes to that kind of service.
Price is decent for what you get, the service was good and quick, the ambiance is chilled & theres plenty of space inside and outside. I ordered the churro & strawberry shortcake & i'd give it a 5/5 for both flavors :)
I see why this place is highly rated. It's a clean space with fast, friendly, helpful service. These rolled up tacos are made of waffle and there is a wide variety of flavors and toppings. We got the brown town which is chocolate and brownie. I also tried a matcha green tea. Delicious. We will be back to try other tacos.
We tried the coconut one and the honey avocado. The coconut was delicious more on the sweeter side than the avocado but it was still good. The place is clean and the customer service was super friendly and informative as a first timer. I wasn't sure on what to get but the man there understood what I was looking for and had the best recommendations for us. The service was very fast and it's made right there in front of you. They have a full menu of drinks and ice cream too. Parking is a bit tight but we found a spot in the front so I consider that our lucky day.
Came for the gimmick. Left having had possibly the best ice cream in the area. Sweet Rolled Tacos appears to be quite popular on Yelp as it's starting to knock on the door of the 1k milestone. That's also the only place where I'd heard of it. However, I used to enjoy this Thai-inspired dessert several years ago when it was a fad where I live, so I was happy to give this version a try. The difference here is that it's stuffed into a colorful taco-shaped waffle cone, which they provide multiple color options for. I tried the #9 Vietnamese Coffee ($7.65) in a red taco and the special menu item Black Sesame ($7.50) in a purple taco. I would put that coffee up there with any of the coffee ice creams I've had anyway. It's super creamy, free from ice crystals, and rich in Vietnamese coffee character. The black sesame was also flavorful and actually not grainy, and the mochi topping was soft and not stale at all. The whipped cream wasn't necessary but I didn't mind it. The waffle cone added light sweetness and a welcome crispy texture to each item. The only issue was that I wasn't sure whether to pick up the concoction or to dig at it with the plastic spoon, and the black sesame was somehow a bit tougher until it thawed (note: ice cream melting quickly means it's not full of stabilizers). I would be very happy to return to Sweet Rolled Tacos the next time I'm visiting the area, and I might even want to stop in again tomorrow. Or later tonight.
Came here with my sister this past weekend and both of us really liked the ice cream tacos here. Parking is plentiful as it's located in a large plaza but the interior is small and was very busy around 8pm. For the ice cream tacos themselves, we ordered the Rainbow road (which seemed like their most popular flavor given the other orders they were calling out) and the Strawberry Cheesecake, which we both actually preferred. The ice cream was definitely sweet but not cloyingly so. Definitely will be back the next time we want rolled ice cream!
Sweet rolls tacos was our dessert after having hot pot. This spot was an amazing end to the evening. The sweet tacos were rich, creamy, flavorful and had real whole ingredients. The taco shell was crunchy. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The place is clean and comfortable.

Similar to an icicles store where they work a clump of frozen ice cream on a frigid round metal plate then roll it up with an extra wide puddy knife tool thing. There are 27 flavors to choose from and six different colored taco shells. We decided on... #1 Matcha Bliss Amazing that the ice cream hardly melts and the taco shell is thin and crispy and holds up against the cold ice cream. Flavor is amazing and doesn't bog you down with heavy sugar doses so you can eat the whole thing without feeling sick afterwards. #27 Pandan Extremely subtle flavor - hardly noticeable. When you do detect the aromas, it is unique and hard to describe the tropical fruit but it's there. Presentation flawless like the other choices. And also ordered a signature tea called Hawaiian Cooler. This has guava, passion fruit and orange green tea. Theres a few tables to sit at and a TV screen where they loop the origin story about how they got started. Pretty cool. That's all...
We came here for dessert after a heavy meal as per recommendation of my friend.. The place is well-lit, clean, and vibey. The staff were prompt taking your orders as well as making your order. Their waffle shell tacos were made fresh and comes in different colors. I'm not certain if you can choose a specific color but I don't see why they won't. We ordered: UBE ICE CREAM- Ube ice cream topped with whipped cream and drizzled with Ube PISTACHIO ICE CREAM - pistachio ice cream topped with whipped cream and crushed pistachios VIETNAMESE COFFEE - shot of espresso ice cream topped with whipped cream and drizzled with condensed milk. It was on the sweeter side (duh?! Lol) but everything taste delicious. Prices were also a bit on the high end. I would say portion of each other can be shareable. Since diabetes runs in my family, I guess I should have my fun before I get it I'm always on the look out for cute dessert places. While on my way to an appointment I decided to do my research and see what was in the area and this place popped up. Colorful ice cream tacos? I'm in it's in a private parking lot that it shares with a bunch of other places. They have a huge menu with each one numbered. The thing that I really really liked is You can pick the color of the shell. (I kept all the ones I ordered exactly how it came, but I do love that you can pick what color) Andrew was so amazing. I didn't see anyone else working here. When I came I was the only one but then there was a HUGE line. It honestly took me so long to pick which ones, but Andrew helped me out (thankfully I got to take my time before tons of people came) I went with the birthday one with a blue shell (like it showed on the menu) A strawberry shortcake one in a red shell (like pictured) And then the coconut delight in a purple shell Highly recommend coming here with friends so you guys can share different ones. There's so many to choose from. I didn't even get my hands on one of the coffee ones yet or banana ones. Bonus points for having vegan options This place also has a bunch of different drinks (coffees, milkshakes and slushes) and then the fun part. You can watch them chop up your ice cream and mix everything in and then roll it up (kind of like cold stone) I can't stress how great Andrew was 5 stars for customer service The place was really clean and had a nice amount of little tables 5 stars for cleanliness And everything tasted amazing. Fun dessert! I really wanted to love this place because of how cool the treats looked. Bright colors and custom made to order dessert made me make the trip to Garden Grove. The store was clean, the staff is very patient but the prices were a little bit on the higher side and the dessert itself was too sweet for us. I had my two kiddos with me and they couldn't finish it because of the sugar. Granted the toppings are optional so maybe if we omitted them it would've toned down the sweetness. I also ordered a peach tea that was more on the watery side with fruit bits. I didn't know that fruit pieces were in there and I wasn't a fan. It wasn't bad, just not for us. read more
This is a quaint place in Garden Grove. It's always clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. They have an array of flavors, even unique ones that I rarely see used in ice cream like durian and sesame. We got the ube rolled taco which is my go to and the matcha monster which has a matcha based ice cream with oreo. Both were creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The ube ice cream was accented with sweetened coconut shavings and whippree cream which was a lovely combination. The matcha flavor was strong without being overpowering and while I normall wouldn't think to combine it with oreo, it blended quite well. They also give you a generous serving so we were pretty full after! read more

We got the mint Oreo and it was so good! Presentation was on point. Prices vary based on which flavor you choose. They do have a non dairy base for an extra charge. Service was quick and you can see them roll your ice cream. Tables were clean which was a big plus. Can't wait to try more flavors and drinks when I'm back in the area. read more
I enjoyed the four ice cream flavors we got, but the prices were a little expensive. A portion is quite large for one person to finish, so $8 makes sense for two people to share, but I feel like different people are interested in different flavors and would rather get their own. I would appreciate it if they gave an option for half the portion for $4. Churro (top right): loved the crispy bits in the ice cream but got too sweet after a while Ube (bottom right): very yummy ube flavors and was not too sweet Yellow fever, or durian (top left): very yummy durian flavors and was not too sweet as well Blueberry cheesecake (bottom left): original glaze on top was super sweet but the rest was good. mini cheesecakes on top were cute and yummy as well Also, just a note that it is very very creamy and rich, which could be good or bad depending on preferences! read more

Get the pandan flavor!!! It's so creamy and delicious. It seems like everything is pretty good and service is quick despite the amount of people waiting for their orders. The place is a cute hangout spot with both outdoor and indoor seating. We came on a Thursday night and it was actually quite busy surprisingly. Funny story...I asked if they could mix flavors because I really wanted to try durian and pandan. But I was convinced to just get pandan...later, they actually made a sample for us! My group of 8 approved it! Please make it an actual flavor on the menu. I would love to actually order it! read more

Stumbled upon this gem in garden grove and I'm so happy I did! This is such a cute and smart concept. It's a great place to take kids and have so many flavors to pick from. The staff is super nice and I love that you can watch them make your order as well. I wish I had read the menu all the way through and new I could pick the color of your waffle taco shell, but I'll def keep that in mind for next time I stop by :) read more
Shout out to Miguel & the other young gentleman working on 12/11/22 @ around 4pm!!! You both were such a delight! Made a quick detour in our schedule to satisfy our need for something sweet. While there was no shortage of boba joints and a number of dessert spots in the area, nothing stood out quite like Sweet Rolled Tacos. SRT offers teas, milkshakes, mochi donuts, but the reason for my visit was strictly for their sweet rolled tacos. The taco shell consists of a customized fresh waffle made in any of the 5 color offerings. Ice cream is then rolled up into swirled plump logs and placed into the taco. Topping are then added and BAM!! You're ready to take a billion pics prior to consumption. Lmao, or is that just me??? Our order consisted of: Rainbow Road Churro Service is prompt, orders where made fresh, and so we're the ingredients that were used. Offers here are fun to eat, definitely IG worthy, and will hit the spot for any/all sweet tooth cravings. 5/5 stars!! read more

Came here because my daughter wanted to try rolled ice cream and she was not disappointed! She got the mint Oreo with a purple shell! Good rolled ice cream with variety of flavors. Other drinks as tea, lemonade, slushes, milkshakes to please every different bud taste. Has to try the sweet rolled tacos to compare with the real salty rolled tacos south of the border . The place wasn't hard to find. Parking is ample. My interest was piqued to try rolled ice cream in a taco shell shaped cone. Went on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't busy. Got to order right away. The menu was vague, lacking in pricing detail, didn't have freedom for any customization on toppings. Items are presented by number, picture and name of the flavor. The picture was misleading a bit in terms of the "taco shell" color. I ordered the Monster Ink (cookie monster ice cream) with a red taco cone but got a regular brown cone color instead. There is an option to choose the color of your taco cone though which I didn't bother since I thought I would be getting my order as in their menu. Eating ice cream like a taco made it a unique experience. But they serve it with a spoon to eat. Also tried their pistachio ice cream. Wasn't a hundred percent sure if I was was eating the ice cream with pistachio flavoring in it or the flavor came from the pistachio sprinkled on it. Overall, love the texture of the ice cream, doesn't melt fast maybe because of how the ice cream was served--rolled. The tables are sowing tables re-purposed into dining tables was a pretty concept. Also tried their SRT coffee (Vietnamese coffee) foam reminded me of a cheese foam. But the flavor is on point. As for the Ube Coffee: really good. It's Vietnamese coffee with Ube foam ans its sweetness wasn't overwhelming rather it complimented the coffee. Overall an interesting experience. read more

They make and roll the ice cream in the front for people to see, that was fun to watch. For the ice cream, I liked the Ube one better than the s'mores. Great service, fun vibes, and delicious taco shells made fresh in-house, this rolled ice cream and ice cream taco combo is awesome! We loved the variety of ice cream options (sooooo many) and toppings and the shell was crisped to perfection. As the ice cream roll was bigger than other rolled ice cream places, expect a creamier texture than the icy signature texture on other rolled ice cream, but it worked well with the taco shell. The workers here are PROS, definitely watch them as they make your taco. The peppermint pretzel taco could have used a bit more mint flavor, but the pretzel bits were great. The lychee lemonade was way too sweet, should have been diluted more. read more
I had this ice cream place twice now. Their ice cream is smooth, creamy, and filled with sweetness of fruity pebbles and sour belts on top. I also tried their strawberry shortcake and it was delicious topping have whipped cream, strawberry with cookie butter, pocky, and cookie butter drizzle. The guys at Sweet Rolled Tacos in Garden Grove, CA really know how to take the best dessert taco ideas and bring them to life. They have over 30 intensely CREATIVE ice cream taco flavors that come in a variety of colored waffle taco shells. Some of these are visual masterpieces that are truly absolutely delicious! I tried two "tacos", the Oreo Cookies and Cream Taco, and the Strawberry Shortcake Taco. The oreo cookies and cream taco looks like a choco taco on steroids. It comes with chocolate covered pretzel sticks, which kind of look like chop sticks. However, I really don't think the intent is to eat with them. The taco itself was chocolatey, creamy, and tasted like some of the best oreo cookies and cream ice cream I've had. I gave it "4 taco stars". Even better was the Strawberry Shortcake taco. It has bits of golden oreo cookies rolled into the strawberry ice cream with strawberry sauce drizzled on top. The combination of authentic strawberry flavor ice cream with strawberry sauce, golden oreo cookies (for more texture and substance) and whipped cream, put me in a completely blissful state of mind. Short Answer: Delicious Long Answer: Looking for something fun and different, this is the place. We had the S'more, Ube, Brown Town, and Coconut Delight cones. They were all amazing. The taco cones are light, and the ice cream is delicious. Come check them out. read more
Came here for dessert after dinner with some friends. The staff was fun and helpful. We ordered 4 different orders to split between the 3 of us. Overall I feel like this is more gimmick over deliciousness. The ice cream is made fresh but felt a little too hard and not creamy enough. Still it was pretty good, but I wasn't highly impressed. Secondly the shell didn't add a new layer of flavor. I think I'd rather just go to a good normal ice cream place. read more

Yes there are! It's not on the menu but if you ask the cashier they'll inform you of what flavors can be dairy-free

If we go on a Saturday and are there right when it opens, should we have an easier time getting in or is it still going to be ridiculously long?
Nope I got there on a Saturday about 30min after opening and was in and out within 20min

Not that I know of but they you can now order via postmates

Yes. I believe they make the ice cream tacos everyday. We were there on a Thursday when we had them.
