I'm so happy I found this salon. I didn't get my hair dyed for years as I was tired of having my hair broken and pulled out by the stylists brushing/combing in the past. I have very long hair and a sensitive scalp, and finally decided to try henna and came here. My stylist, Swapna, did a wonderful job. NOT a place for u if your skin is sensitive and u r looking for some good standards!! Ok so today was my first time at Anu's. I was greeted nicely by the owner and eyebrow & upper lip waxing went fine but she actually blew her breath on my face to get rid of excess powder, eek that's so unhealthy and unsanitary , however despite telling her that my skin is sensitive to threading she said she is gonna use the thread to shape, and I got minor cuts on my skin. Then another person did my full leg waxing. This person seems to be in so much hurry, they used same knife that was already in the wax used by previous customers and dipped it again and again. She used same strip of cloth multiple times until it was soaked in wax. She was so distracted or may didn't like what she was doing, she pulled my skin so badly around upper knee area and I got big bruise. She just put some ice on it and continued in the same hurry. I would expect better if you are throwing around names like "Herbal" etc. Secondly - my cash went missing at this place! Beware of this salon, they use cheap products. Very very dissapointed to be there. It happened twice with me. First time i went there with prior appointment but they refused for facial saying they are short of time. They wasted my time. Second time i took appointment and after half an hour they called up saying they have no time. I dont know why And i also find them in hurry always. So guys please dont book an appointment. I needed a head massage due to chronic head and neck pain. A friend recommended this place and I tried it out. Geeta did an excellent job with the hair oil massage that made me extend the service to get a facial too. I walked out feeling much better. Threading was done with very little pain and she made sure my acne was not disturbed and was very careful. Martha my hair stylist was brilliant. My hair was damaged and lifeless. She suggested me a hair cut with a little treatment for some hydration. She kept me well explained along the entire process. I recently moved to the area and was in desperate need of threading. My previous esthetician was great, so I needed someone who would fill her shoes. I happened to stumble upon Anus Grand Opening after eating at Denica's. I decided to drop in. I was promptly seated and serviced. Anu paid carful attention to detail and worked meticulously on each brow. She also had another staff member hold my eye brow so that I could just sit back and relax. When she finished she added cool gel and a slow growth cream to my brows. The service was awesome but the finished result was the best part. My eyebrows look AMAZING! I have gotten lots of compliments and I owe it all to Anu. I have found my new spot. I have been back several times and I will not be going anywhere else to get my brows threaded. I have been look out for a good henna place for almost 5 years and finally happy with this one . Anu uses a spl beetroot mix and other herbs in henna , which brings out a very luscious burgundy color. Up on request they even add egg and eucalyptus oil . My first experience here was when I went in to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time. I heard horror stories about threading so I was a little nervous. But I got great costumer service, light conversation. It was really quick 5-10mins tops. And it didn't hurt much at all. And I LOVED how my eyebrows turned out. Just had my brows threaded while waiting for my oil change and wow what a deal ($9) and great service! I came at the right time because as she was doing my brows two others walked in. The place has only been open for 2 months. It's extremely clean and has a super modern interior. The woman barely spoke English but that's fine I just needed her to do a good job. And she did. I have been a regular at Anu's pre-pandemic , during pandemic last year, and even now. Every visit of mine has been no less that exceptional. Yesterday I got a pedicure and eye brow threading done. I was extremely happy with the service. Last year they resorted to waxing of the upper lip due to safety but now they are back to usual upper lip threading as well. The place is clean and hygienic . Be prepared for temperature check at entry. Hope they bring back the points system soon. read more

I went for haircut and waxing appointment. They made me wait for 20 to 30 minutes even after I had an appointment. The haircut was really quick, she didn't spend time on my hair. I had burns after my waxing as the tissue kept getting stuck and the lady was very slow. Overall not a very pleasant experience. read more

Came here to get my eyebrows done for homecoming since It wasn't too expensive. My natural eyebrows are not the same so when she threaded them, they were totally different from one another. I am very picky about my eyebrows and they were not even like how I asked and they were wayyyyy too high. Overall I didn't have the best experience and had really wacky eyebrows for homecoming. Overpriced and total waste of money and time. They applied henna charging me $50 for henna + extra$10 for indigo, for my shoulder length hair. When l asked them why isn't indigo and henna being applied separately (as that's how it's done), their answer was that's how they do it. I just went ahead with what they suggested as l had a family reunion. The hair turned grey in less than 20 days. REAL scammers. They boast a lot about their "secret" ingredients and the color would be retained for more than 3 months. Nonsense!!!! I rarely write reviews in Yelp, but Anu's Beautique is worth it. Anu's is as best as it gets when it comes to threading, facials and manicures. Having threaded my brows for several years, Anu's is the one place where I can barely feel the hair being removed. I raced in one night at 7.00pm (closing time), and Anu (though exhausted after a very long day) was extremely gracious in accommodating my request to do by brows (I was late as I was moving homes and had a house warming the next morning). Facials by Reena are amazing, she is extremely friendly and paid great attention to my requests. Results are wonderful, everyone comments on my 'glow.' I came in to get a full face threading and during mid service they insisted I get a part of my face waxed without telling me there is a difference in price. I went with their part wax part threading suggestion. This review is for their threading services by MONICA, I refuse to go to anyone else. Monica does an excellent job at threading and doesn't thin out your eyebrows. I had the owner thread my eyebrows and she was very aggressive and made them very thin (was very unhappy with the service). Had to knock off a star due to their aggressive owner. They claim to be a one stop shop for hair and nails but I won't bother giving them a try due to all of the bad reviews. One time when I was getting my eyebrows threaded, the hair dresser had a client that was dissatisfied with the color service, I looked over and she gave her blonde highlights when she asked for Auburn. I saw the before and after picture, and it was terrible. Not crazy about their nail service, they seem slow and disorganized. Again, will only come here for their threading services. Don't understand the hype especially with brows because they messed mine up. I asked for a clean up around my brows and to keep the thickness. Walked out with thinner eyebrows and lost my arch. I also had random strands of hair they missed. There's definitely better places out in the Bay Area than this place. read more
