Service depends, as with all businesses, on the folks who are on staff that day and the volume of patients. Get there on a slow day with the amiable staff, an excellent experience. High volume day with a cranky person, flat experience. I've seen both. I still say this is a good location due to it being hidden--the volume will be lower than other CPLs. But, that doesn't mean it will be low--just lower (if you hit a busy time). I'm increasing my stars because, with my increased visits, I'm finding friendlier phlebotomists.

Unhappy employees make for unhappy customers. I almost always have to take a specimen in 2 days in a row. There is no simple "drop off". You have to wait in line but it seems for EVERYBODY'S well-being, you should get out as fast as possible since the reason you're there is because you are sick and being kept in a small room with occasionally, several to many other sick people. When it's your turn They grill you, critique the amount of your specimen and ask for non-existent paperwork. I sent my husband in the first day to take in the first specimen. He came back talking about the mean lady. I went today. She's more than mean she's horrible. In the 3rd window. Not nice, doesn't like her job and doesn't like people. I feel sorry for her. It's not an easy job I wouldn't think but it's made a lot worse by bad management. And I venture to guess the other locations are bad sometimes but you can always count on this location to be ugly.

DETAILS: I got there a few minutes before my appointment time and the waiting room was completely full, and the screen said they were running about 40 minutes behind. So I left for just 15 minutes but when I came back the waiting room was somehow suddenly nearly empty and the screen was nearly blank. I'm guessing lots of people couldn't wait any longer when they weren't seen on time so they just left. I explained the above to a female staffer and she said she'd try to get to me after the two people waiting were served. Then for 45 minutes she didn't call *anyone* else. The other two staffers served the two patients who were waiting, and then served several others who came in after, but I never got called. I explained the above to a male staffer and he went to the back and asked the first staffer if she knew anything about me, which I could hear. She came out and said her draw-shift ended 30 minutes ago which is why she didn't call anyone else. I asked, "So if you knew you would *never* call me, why didn't you let me know?" She said she let the other employees know I was waiting. Notice the plural, employees. And there are only two of them. I pointed out to her that the male staffer was unaware of my situation when I explained it to him, so she did *not* let the other staffers know. She then said she had told only the other female staffer. I doubt she really did, since she certainly lied to be about informing that male staffer. That female staffer she supposedly told certainly never set my expectations about how long I would wait, and she called lots of other patients while I was waiting. Although this was a 1-star experience, I had other good experiences there, so I'm averaging this to 3 stars.

That said the person who came to get me and got the samples was pretty nice, and was efficient back in the room area. Once you finish up there, they are good about getting your results back to you as well. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot as well. Bathrooms are pretty clean (standard looking/sterile since samples are collected here).

My doctor's office is literally across the hall from this lab, so every year after my well woman's…read moreexam I end up there. And somehow... every single year... they magically bill me for something that should've been covered. At first I thought it was just one of those annoying insurance mix-ups. But after spending at least an HOUR every year playing mediator between the doctor, insurance company, and lab, it's starting to feel less like "oops" and more like a seasonal tradition. Usually they eventually fix it after I call enough times. Other times I've honestly just paid it because I value my sanity. This there were two tests I knew insurance wouldn't cover, paid for them upfront with my credit card, had the doctor separate them on a different form, AND asked for a receipt. The receipt only had the amount paid -- no description. Which already felt a little "interesting." Convenient that for some reason they have no way of putting a description what I paid for on this but every time they send me a bill it has a very accurate description of what they are billing me for. It's sad that it comes to me having to cord this interaction to protect myself. So I asked on video: "So these definitely will not be billed to insurance since I'm paying here?" Receptionist: "Yes." Fast forward to this week: guess who just got billed $36 for those exact same tests. At this point I'm not even mad about the money. It's the principle. Because I know a lot of people probably just sigh dramatically, pay the $30, and move on. But no. Not this year. This year I will be returning like a low-budget legal drama with my receipt, my credit card statement, AND my little video clip. Honestly the phlebotomists are sweet, but the front office acts like kindness costs extra. They are shockingly rude! So if this place keeps overbilling you too: fight it. Even if it's annoying. Or save yourself the headache and find a friendlier lab who doesn't routinely try to keep an extra 15- 30 from every visit.

They don't offer any confidentiality. They ask sensitive questions out loud in front of everyone,…read moreeven though they could easily look up that information. It's really not everyone's business why someone is there. They could at least get up and ask you to come to the side if they need to ask something personal. I can only imagine how uncomfortable that must be for people who are mandated to take the test. Mine was optional, but still--if you're going to ask for private information, it should be done in a private setting. Also, the bathrooms aren't cleaned after each use, which adds to the lack of care UPDATE: Instead of taking accountability, they chose to lie on me in response to my honest one-star review. What they don't realize is that my case is not mandatory, and I will be seeking legal representation for the false claims made. I never threw my ID, and I would never behave that way toward anyone. It's a complete fabrication. Interestingly, I noticed another one-star review mentioning a similar experience--this seems to be a pattern with them. I barely interacted with the staff, and I was in a rush, which is why I accidentally left a paper napkin and a water cup. I returned and respectfully threw them away with no attitude whatsoever. I also want to point out that they have no regard for confidentiality. I knew exactly why each person was there, which shows a lack of professionalism and care for people's privacy. I will not be returning--because I don't have to--and I will NEVER remove my one-star review. Had I behave in the manner she said I did, a one star removal wouldn't make a difference - sounds like blackmail Jennifer will be held accountable for her lies.

It hurt so much that when I exited, I specifically asked that they put that MRI tech's name on my record as someone I never wanted to deal with again. I also asked that they forward my complaint to management. One year later, it's time to make another appointment. That tech's name is not on my record. I received an email and a text that there was a letter waiting for me from ARA. Ten minutes of dealing with their archaic website only to find out that there was no letter. It is extremely difficult to understand ANY of the representatives, and they seem to have very limited information available to them about patients, appointments, or scheduling. Every time I ask about available appointment times, I'm placed on hold while they apparently try to find the information. It took 35 mins sitting in a parking lot to schedule one MRI. Only available 2 months out. I had to "phone a friend" to help me schedule and we got in 2 days later. I had anxiety calling today just to get a CT scan. Same ridiculous issue. I have four children and have dealt with countless doctors, specialists, and medical offices over the years, and I have never experienced anything this inefficient or frustrating. Trying to schedule with ARA gives me more excruciating pain then my back! It's 2026, ARA Wake up! Healthcare systems should have integrated patient records and online scheduling where patients can see actual appointment availability and book directly. You guys have multiple offices, how are you not efficient here?! Trying to cut costs at the patient's expense is why. I shouldn't have to spend an unreasonable amount of time on the phone just trying to find out what appointment times are available and give someone in India info about my doctor (who called in the request). HE CALLED IT IN! How is this info not in the system? The entire process feels unnecessarily complicated and outdated, especially for patients who are already dealing with pain and health concerns.
