I always get my hair done here whenever I attend a big event or I'll be singing for a gig. Anya has always been accomodating and understanding of what I need for my look and . I've also had my hair done by Armina twice now, and she does a great job with my hair! She works very fast, I barely realize time has passed since she keeps me entertained with her skill and great conversation :) Updated review: 2020 Since i've been going here for about 2 years now, I felt it was such a natural choice to get Anna to do my hair for my wedding (mind you this was pre-shutdown : 03/14)!! And as expected - she absolutely did not disappoint. We did a few trial sessions prior to that and she was so patient and worked with me in finding a style I loved. On the day of the wedding, she came to my hotel and helped me get ready. She also did my MIL's hair and she was super satisfied with her simple yet elegant waterfall braid. Schedule my appt online wks in advance for Saturday @ 10, July 27. Not knowing where it was I got to the mall at 940 and after 10 minutes found them. Made sure I came with freshly clean wet hair. 0950 employee arrived & immediately was preparing for the day. Greeted her and informed her I have appt.. She said nothing and had this look like she was not happy to be at work. Pray she was not going to braid my hair. 1010 another employee arrived & she was helping to get the stand ready for the day. Internet not working. Luckily for me I print my proof of my appt and had picture of how I wanted my hair done. By 1020 braiding started. Thank goodness it was not the lady whom was opening the stand attending to me. While employee attending to me the phone kept on ringing so she stop to answer by the 4th time the employee attending to me asked her coworker to answer since she was wrapping up & she ignored her. She didn't talk to just completely ignored her. I commend the person braiding my hair she balanced answering phone, customer service, braiding my hair & dealing with her coworker ignorance. Finished close to 12 would have been done sooner but late start mixed with answering phone. I was pleased. Braids lasted me from July 27 until Aug 5th. Received plenty of compliments & referred people. Highly recommend. Wish I got employees names. 4 star because of the employee who opened the stand appear bother she had to work and no sense of team ignoring her coworker & never answering the phone.

I requested an appointment a week in advance for Armina at 10am for these pancake braids I saw from a reference picture. I was really glad that she was able to accommodate for me by coming in on a Saturday morning! She is such sweet and easy person to talk to. I also really appreciated that she took her time to make my parting and braids look super clean! The time went by so fast, I didn't realize 30 mins had already passed. I had a baby shower and a concert to go to in the same day and my braids stayed in place the whole day! Not even a fly away from my braid was out of place! My braid also felt super light weight. She was also kind enough to inform me about checking into their location for a percentage off my service AND explaining to me about their rewards program! The prices they have are unbeatable and they all do such an amazing job! I'll definitely be coming back here again! And seconds after I left they started getting a lot of customers at just 10 in the morning! I suggest you make and appointment because they get really busy. Anya's Braiding Bar is amazing! Thank you again Armina! You made my first experience here the best! I can't wait to come back :)

This place is good for the value. I got the "boxer braids with extension" which are also known as kanekalon braids. I was able to get 2 colors for $52 and it only took one hour to complete. I have had kanekalon braids done before that came out better than these, but they also cost $85 and took 2.5 hours to do. These were good enough for me to save money. They didn't dip them in boiling water at the end which makes them less stiff and less likely to fray, so I ended up dipping them myself when I got home. You can look up how on YouTube.

I was looking for a braid bar in los angeles area. And my best friend suggested me to go to Anya Braid Bar because I needed my hair done fast and perfect and i had only couple hours before my baby shower will start. So I went there and I was so happy with my braids. Anya did them in half an hour and I look the best from all the guests. I also found out that she can arrange mobile braid bar for the kids party. I tried this on a whim while walking through the Galleria with a visiting friend (she convinced me)... Normally I avoid those kiosks since the salespeople tend to be more aggressive, but the ladies who work at Anya are not at all. They are so helpful in explaining how it works, cost, etc. I've since been back for a different style (I made an appointment online) and I am happy to report their business seems to be booming and they had 4 or 5 girls braiding on a Saturday. Prices are up reasonable and they have a rewards program. They also have "happy hour" prices during the week. You can pay with card and tip on card as well. I love to braid my hair but it seems like I can only getting good results when I'm not trying, which isn't helpful when you have plans or a party to attend. That's why making an appointment before my husband's company holiday party was an ideal situation... All I had to worry about was my makeup and getting dressed. The girls work pretty fast, but I think it depends on your type of hair and how complicated the braid is. I have a lot of baby hairs so they take their time making sure it looks as good as possible. I definitely recommend Anya braid bar and wouldn't be surprised if more of these places start popping up around town. Armena & Liz were both exceptional stylists! read more

Been here twice now and I have loved both my styles! They last for more than two days if you need them to. Appointments can be made easily online and I am taken on time. Within 30ish minutes I have my beautiful braid done!! Anya's braids is amazing! Great reasonable prices too! Very happy customer read more

I was at the Galleria Mall today getting a last minute thing before going back home to get ready for a wedding. I accidentally saw the ANYA hair braid kiosk and I was blown away with the beautiful braids they were doing to other customers!!! I got my hair ready and done for the wedding I had today for great price plus a good Labor Day weekend deal!!! My hair looked amazing and everyone at the wedding complimented me on it!! I got boxer braids with pink extensions and loved them! They lasted me all weekend while attending a music festival! Armine is who did my braids and she did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend her! She took her time and made sure they were perfect! One recommendation she gave me which I believe helped keep my braids in place was sleeping with a satin sleeping cap! Once again would definitely recommend getting your braids done here! read more

This place is amazing. I've been here twice and my hair always looks perfect in braids afterward. The prices are so reasonable compared to salons. The first style I got was the boxer braids for $22 a few months ago. The braids were perfect and lasted me almost 4 days. Today I got the 3D pull threw for an evening event and it looks amazing. It looks like I spent $100 at a salon, but it was $40 and see convenient. I highly recommend Armina. She did a great job and totally listened to what I wanted. read more

I absolutely LOVED my braids, my bff and I got matching ones - everywhere we walked everyone asked us for stylist information. We opted for adding color extensions, Jenya (our stylist) helped me pick color to match my hair. I have to admit I wasn't 100% convinced about color bc I felt too old for it but I'm glad I trusted her choice. I felt super happy and the experience was incredible! It was 3 days of fun-filled and lovely non stop compliments. read more

I love going here to get my hair done! I've been here two times and both times Armine did my braids . She's the best, she knows what she's doing, and does exactly what you ask for. The customer service is good and the girls are very nice! I suggest you make an appointment before because they're usually busy! Specially on the weekends. I have been here twice and gotten Dutch braids both times. The first time I saw Armina and got exactly what I wanted. My hair looked exactly like the picture and it was really cute. Today I came and the girl started over a few times to get the braids right and when I got home my hair looked super shiny from too much hair spray. Overall though this place is great for the price and convenience. I'll be back. read more

I love this place! Got braided to go to a music festival for an easy no fuss type of hair and I'm so happy it stayed all weekend. I have long thick straight Asian hair and usually have trouble keeping curls, updos, hairstyles in general in for long. Braided style are a definite solution for me. I asked for it to be braided tight enough to stay intact and that's exactly what I got. I received so many compliments (no, way could I do this myself). I can't wait to have another excuse to do this. Maybe Anya will see me again weekend before Halloween as Daenyrs Targaryen? Lara Croft? Who knows... Maybe even for my wedding... read more

My daughter had been wanting to get boxed braids with extensions and we finally made it in! We were at the mall already walking around and came across the kiosk (which is near Macy's lower level, in front of bath and body works and Riley Rose) and I finally gave in. Unfortunately there was nothing available when we came, but we did make an appointment for later that evening. I didn't mind coming back as we had the week off. When we came back in the evening Hasmik was there. She was very kind and did an excellent job braiding my daughter's hair. We fortunately took a picture of the colors available earlier so that when we arrived we knew what color extensions we wanted. My daughter is happy with the final product, which is always a plus! It took about 45 minutes, on long curly hair. Prices vary, but they have a tablet at the kiosk that shows prices. Only advice: Make an appointment in advance. read more

A rush to come as soon as possible and after 13 min I met stylist. Love my two French braids. Easy online, next day appointments or I have walked in. You could tell she knew what she was doing, she did my braids extra tight. She used gel and hairspray to make it stay and make it neat. read more

My boyfriend had an appointment today for 2:30 to get his hair braided and they were accommodating enough to see him at 12 instead. Armina was the one who did his braids and she did amazing. She made the whole visit very comfortable, was relatable and made an effort to keep the conversation while she was braiding his hair. If you're ever in the area or want to go to a place where they won't charge an arm and a leg to do it then this is your go to. Make sure you schedule an appointment because it gets busy. Loved it so much, he already scheduled another appointment for next month. read more

I loved my French braids! It was super quick and very inexpensive. They lasted two days, only because I have really layered hair and little pieces stuck out. If not for that, they would have lasted a lot longer. I'll definately be back!! read more

Get your hair done by Liga , if Liga does your hair dont expect your hair to fall apart it will stay still for a long time. Shes a perfectionist!!! I completely trust liga with my hair. read more

I have always passed by this braid bar but never really had time to stop by, first time checking in AND I AM IN LOVE. Jenya did my fishtail faux Mohawk and I am amazed by how it came out. It came out just like the photo! You guys need to check them out. They do amazing braids! read more

Established in 2017.

We are a small local business. Our first location used to be a kiosk at the Glendale Galleria Mall (July 2017), then we were at Nail & Hair Bar until March 2020. We closed our location once the pandemic started and since 2021 only provide mobile Party services in the Los Angeles area. All the photos I see are of people who have reasonably long hair. Are they able to braid in the hair extensions to create length for someone who has short pixie length hair?

Hello, for cornrows we need at least 4" of hair length. All extensions that we add are braiding hair, so your hair has to be long enough to hold it. With pixie hair cut we probably can't do too much unfortunately.

It's an absolute hack job When I contacted the salon, I was told refunds are "not their policy". The only resolution offered was "come in right now and we'll see what we can do" or "20% off a future service". After this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning. A trim should be the most basic service a salon can execute. If that can't be done properly, I would hesitate to trust them with anything more complex.

No joke, last month I got a full balayage and some face framing layers, and within an hour of leaving my appointment, running errands, three strangers stopped me and asked me where I went for my hair/commented on how amazing it looked. Finally, you will not find someone with more flexibility on timing - she is beyond accommodating with her hours which is amazing for people with crazy work schedules. Do you have a stylist that will meet you at the crack of dawn for a quick, 5:30AM partial balayage before you go to work? I doubt it. Could not recommend Balayage by Linet (and Chelsi) more!

Whether it's mermaids, Hello Kitty, Toy Story, or even Bluey, they bring the fun and make every child feel like a star. The creativity and customization Anya puts into modifying the styles to fit the theme is ingenious. They're incredibly sweet, patient, and fantastic with kids -- the whole process is smooth, quick, and full of joy. The braids hold up beautifully, even after hours of dancing and play.
