I enjoy Sunset because it is more intimate and some of the people at Sunset have been there forever. The clientele at Persinger is younger and part of the neighboring community. The fitness/community center literally looks like a modern barn on the outside. Inside you will find much of the same fitness equipment you will find at Sunset. Persinger has a basketball court and a walking/running track you will not find at Sunset. Persinger has upstairs meeting rooms with an elevator. Sunset has a training room and a racketball court. My personal preference is Sunset because I feel it is more intimate than Persinger. Because of this I give Persinger four stars and Sunset five stars.

Barbell 4:13 has all the cardio equipment and machines a new gym goes needs but also has a full row of monolifts and competition benches and accessories like bands and chains for a competitive athlete. Chalk is not only allowed but provided and the equipment is all top-notch. The owner, Matt, took time to welcome me to the gym and show me around, and all of the regulars here have been really friendly. I like being able to jump in with the groups training here but it'd also be a great place to get a workout in and not be bothered. Definitely worth checking out and it's been worth the 30 minute drive down for me to train here.

A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I think they tend to take action only when hotel guests say something. - no steam room or sauna - they have towels, but they sometimes smell pretty rough, like they didn't get washed well. Sometimes old makeup on them.

They also offer several classes during the weekly lunch hour, which leads me to believe that is probably the busy time to go. I went after work and only two other people were there. Of course, the smelly guy with sunglasses decided to jog on the treadmill next to me, but I can't really fault the gym for that. Overall, nothing fancy, but not bad. I would upgrade my rating to four stars if I worked in this office complex full time... just for the convenience factor.

Disorganized & Frustrating Cancellation Process…read more I signed up in May for a $89/month membership after taking a free class. Unfortunately, I never made it back, so I submitted a cancellation request through their app about two months later. That's where everything went downhill. I received a vague one-line email saying my request was "initiated" but needed more information. I replied multiple times asking what was needed--no response. I called, left voicemails, and sent several text messages over the course of months. Still nothing. Meanwhile, I continued to be charged for August and September despite actively trying to cancel. I eventually had to stop payment through my bank. Even after that, I kept reaching out about using the credits I had already paid for. Every time, I was told "Rich will call you back." It took two more months to finally speak with him. Then I was told I only had 30 days post-cancellation to use my credits--something that was never disclosed when I signed up or during my attempts to cancel. Even worse, I was told the only way to use the credits I already paid for was to reactivate my membership and start paying again. To top it off, I found out my account had been sent to collections with no prior notice. This entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely avoidable with proper communication. Make sure you fully understand their cancellation policies--and get everything in writing--before signing up.

I received 2 minutes of one on one instruction about punching combos and then joined the class to be thrown into complicated, intermediate cardio regimens that quickly overwhelmed me. I am a larger girl, I am not in the best shape, nor am I very athletic. If you are like me and you are attempting to get your feet wet in a new fitness option, I don't recommend an intro class at Title Boxing club. There might be other boxing classes that are more beginner friendly and more adept at catering to beginner skill sets. Also, if you don't already own a pair, you will need to buy $10 hand wraps prior to starting class.
