I do not recommend this gym. It's overcrowded and you have to wait for machines. Cannot keep a gym bag on the floor yet rampant theft in the locker room. My air pods were stolen out of the locker room in January of 2023. Never came back but still payed for the entire year. As stated in the contract I singed. Cancelled the membership in December of 2023 yet still was charged another $49 annual fee price because "I didn't cancel two weeks in advance" per Kamal the manager. They will make stuff up to charge your account. You will never get anything refunded since "that all has to go through corporate". My wife & I both left due to this fact. Xsport was $14 a month for two years and way bigger everything. Go anywhere else! read more

If you're looking for someone to give you a good experience & run through I'd definitely ask for kamal. His nice demeanor made this experience pleasant! He's a good worker forsure. Aside from that though -If you're looking to wait for 3 machines because 19 year olds are hogging them this is the place lol. I found myself in a confrontation when asking to use a machine, a kid says to me "you're going to have to ask my girlfriend". I'm sorry but for anyone looking for a legit gym I'd just avoid this spot all together because not only is this the kind of situation you're going to run into CLEARLY, but it just makes a hostile environment from the members. Public gyms are meant for access to everyone, asking for permission from a 19 year old seems a bit overrated and too problematic. Been a member since 2017. Was a good place to work out and fees are cheap. Had quite a few Personal Training sessions and things were good. Right before Covid shut us all down, I had a personal training contract, which I cancelled via the Club Manager and he through the DM. All during Covid, fees were paid even while the club was closed. Then some months ago the Club charged me almost $800 and late fees for contracts that had been cancelled well over a year ago. I have hounded the Club Manager Pete Williams, who kept saying week after week that it would betaken care of and it's in the hands of corporate but now he is ignoring me and I'm not hearing anything. Undoubtably and indefinitely the WORST gym I have ever been to. The workers do not care about the guests and will poke fun or just completely ignore you. The management will not respond to emails when you try and cancel your membership. The guests do not rerack their weights or even clean up after themselves. We were so excited when Crunch opened so close to our house. I guess you get what you pay for. It is now filthy and disgusting inside. It has all the right equipment and space to workout but the maintenance and cleaning is terrible. Every time I come in I think maybe it will be better and it just gets worse. A vacuum and cleaning. Spray would go a long away. It's super disappointing to see it go down hill month after month. I ran a corporate health facility 5x larger so I know it takes a cleaning schedule and regular maintenance Get on it folks. As a certified trainer with my masters degree the training staff could use some assistance as well. I see clients being taught unsafe activities and then trainers watching them continue with bad form instead of coaching them proper form. read more

Still inconsistent. The Saturday instructor hadn't shown up last month, and nobody knew what to do. After that, other instructors were filling in but then the time of the class abruptly changed with no heads up to anyone. The schedule posted by the group fitness room had the old time. There was no sign sheeting members to the time change, no update on the Facebook page, etc. during the week, some classes are running over, and starting late. When classes are thirty minutes, this is a problem. Since I've been a member for two years in April and things aren't improving, I'm going to go back to Rush Copley Healthplex. Yes, it's pricier, but I'm finding you get what you pay for. I'm giving three stars to the two instructors named Crystal who are dedicated and consistent. They've kept me here. Edited to add that since I posted this review, things have gone downhill fast. For the last month, instructors haven't shown up or the class schedule has randomly changed. Nobody at the front desk knows what's going on. I contacted management, who told me things would be fixed. When I arrived today to go to a class, the instructor hadn't shown up. The worst customer service EVER. I signed up when they first opened, my daughter & I were not impressed, it was a year membership so I figured at the end of the year our contract was over. Then I was charged two new memberships, if I remember it was $39.00 each. When I called to find out why I was being charged again they said I had to come in to cancel, when I didn't they just automatically debited my account. Last year my son wanted a membership for his birthday against my better judgement I purchased a year membership. Since he wasn't using it I made sure to call prior to the end of the year knowing what happened before, the girl who answered the phone assured me at the end of the year my membership would be canceled. She be even told me the month when it would end so I was pretty confident she knew what she was talking about. I received a debit in July but I thought because it was the end of June when I purchased, July could be the last month. When I wasn't debited again in August I called & was basically made to feel like a liar & was told no cancellations were done in the phone, I was told to e -mail the Manager who was probably the same person I spoke with, no refund & I could now use that e-mail as my cancellation! What a Tirol rip off this place is, stir clear!!!! Which is exactly why I called prior to the contract end, I can't help your employees give our wrong information & then the customer has to pay! read more

The place is nice overall and has everything you need. You also can't beat the price. However the place is near a high school so there's a lot of high school kids that go there. You really have to pick your times to go because of the high school kids. The place is full of kids when they are off of school and they come in groups between three and five members and monopolize the weightlifting equipment, so it's almost impossible to use anything. When they are in school, that's the best time to go because you have access to the weightlifting equipment. On school days, they often come in after 4:00 pm and the place is too busy until about 8:00 p.m. The best time to come is after 8:00 p.m. during school nights probably because they have to get up early for school. On weekends the best time to go is in the morning or evening. I literally walk out whenever I see all the high school kids in there because you just waste your time waiting to use the equipment. read more

In addition to the dance studio and multiple rows of machines there are 15 stations in the circuit including burpees! This place really went downhill, not sure what happened. I joined before this gym even opened while still under construction. My wife and I used the gym on a pretty regular basis the first year and a half it was open. Then they changed their morning class schedule and added a higher tier(more expensive) grade of membership. Many of the group classes my wife took in the morning were no longer available or required the higher tier membership which was not even an option when we joined...can you say bait and switch??? She ended up joining a different gym that better met her needs and schedule. I had a back injury which took me out of my routine for about a year. Once I was ready to start hitting the gym again I went in to cancel my wife's membership and lower my grade of membership down to the basic one since i never used the tanning or massage beds. They messed up my billing 3 times this year, they double billed me for our annual membership twice and then they double billed me my monthly payment for July. Then it took them weeks to get the money back into my account each time I discovered the billing error. i finally had to cancel my membership altogether becuase they just could not seem to get things right and the value was not what it once was. I'm not sure what's going on here lately but they are really screwed this place up. read more

I gave this place a trial run after having not been there for a year and 1/2 & being covid, I didn't want to renew my membership till after I checked it out. Within 20 minutes I saw half the gym not wearing masks or halfway down on their face. No one was sanitizing equipment including the staff. This particular day they had a decent amount of staff just standing around and even the manager there. It seemed like nothing had changed except putting up a sign about mandatory Covid safety measures, but not enforcing it in the least. The manager said he'd look into it. But us being this far into covid-19 and them being this lack with a full staff present is unexceptable. Sign-up or go back at your own risk. read more

Wasn't the cleanest before COVID (although they had a nice, hard working woman trying her best to clean, she went missing a month or so after reopening), but you would think in the middle of a pandemic they would be cleaning all the time. They are definitely NOT. What are they doing? Eating meals, talking/texting, dancing, and my personal favorite: SQUATS! I mean who doesn't want to watch the girl at the front desk do a few squats with her band on & then rub her a$$? I haven't seen an employee clean any "high traffic" equipment every hour as their "pledge" states, I haven't seen them clean at all. The tanning beds are disgusting, there's been a dirty sock on the floor of one for at least 3 weeks now. And whatever you do, do not workout when there's 2 classes going on. There's nothing like having 3 speakers fighting for music control. You're ears will bleed. Restriction keep getting placed on us and y'all believe that customers will wipe down equipment after they use it? Businesses are being forced to close because half of these people won't wear masks at all. Help us keep you open and get your staff to work. Overall I really enjoy Crunch. The staff is friendly and helpful, wide variety of equipment (cardio, free weight, a 25yd turf area, group fitness room, and more) that will meet a variety of training styles. Personal training is available (I highly recommend Ed!). My only area of dissatisfaction is cleanliness. For example, the blue turf doesn't appear to have ever been vacuumed. There are hair balls and shreds of foam/rubber everywhere, especially along the edge along the wall. When I do sit-ups or burpees on the turf, my wife often asks me whose hair is stuck to my shirt. The rubber mat flooring is somewhat cleaner but I feel like this area is just spot cleaned as it's dirtier than I'm used to from previous gyms (if you never do floor exercises you'd likely never know). I do enjoy Crunch and it has a very nice variety that meets my wide variety of needs (HIIT, High heart rate circuit, as well as soCardio and strength). I do wish it was cleaner, but thus far not a dealbreaker for me. Update 4/13 - I've noticed this week that the blue turf was vacuumed and the rest of the rubber floor has been cleaner than normal. Crunch is the best gym deal around! Not only are they right up there as the most economical, they are the only gym I know in that price range that offers classes as well as machines and free weights. I've never had a bad class at the Eola Rd location in Aurora - they have a large variety of classes and all of the teachers are very knowledgeable. The gym itself is always clean and they have enough machines that I rarely have to wait for what I want to do next in my workout. It's a great gym! Ive been a member since this place has opened and its really going down hill. Do you like air conditioning? Well skip this gym because it doesnt seem to be in theie budget. When I asked a staff member about it he told me to "turn the fan on whatever machine you're going to use". The equipment isn't as clean as it used to be and not enough cleaning stations for members to clean up after themselves. The gym has really turned into a "boys club", to the fact as a girl I can't use any weight lifting equipment because there a lot of guys just shooting the crap taking up equipment. I wish staff would be more involved, walk around and talk with members but sadly I might leave this gym real soon. read more

I always paid my payments on time & the one time I changed my bank account, they forgot to mark it as primary and charged me a late fee. Told the customer service lady to delete all my other accounts and keep my new account & she told me I'd be charged my normal amount but when I checked my bank statement and it said otherwise. Talked to the manager and assistant manager and explained it's not my fault that the person who put it in didn't mark it as primary but they didn't do anything about it and I've been a member since opening. I then told him I'm going to cancel my account and instead of fixing it the tiny little error, he lost business and said "it's ok mam" I guess it doesn't matter if you're a loyal customer to get good service or not ! read more

Good gym overall. Although the worst part is a lot of people started coming and it's started to get crowded and some people hog everything. Another thing is, the equipment, especially the cables are always out of use... for the amount of people who go there the equipment needs to be fixed asap. Also some of the staff is too involved and invade space-- that's a big no. I was a member for a year while living in Aurora, I already had 2 other gym memberships but Crunch was right there. In November of 2019 I came into Crunch to cancel my membership as I was moving over an hour away. I was told there is a $200 cancellation fee plus 50% of whatever dues are still remaining. However the contract I signed was non-renewal, so my membership would automatically end in December of 2019. Just noticed a charge from Crunch Fitness on my bank account, it is September 2017. Over $150 has been charged to my bank account in 2020. I have not visited the club once! I drove 90 minutes to get to the club as I was told over the phone I would have to sign something. When I got there I was told a manager is not in but here is his email address. My email has been ignored for 5 days now. If you want to sign up and hand them your credit card they'll get right back to you. When you're moving and need to cancel, good luck as they are going to do everything they can to charge you every dollar they can regardless of if you're able to go to their club. Was a Long time member of Crunch Fitness but had to cancel due to the subjective membership payment polices. I wanted to switch over my membership from checking account deduction to Credit Card Payment, 1 for security reasons, the second for points. They stated they do not accept this form of payment and that it is company policy. I asked to check with the manager, they called him on the phone spoke of the situation, I asked to speak with the manager, they said its his personal line we cant do that. I asked for any documentation on this they do not have it, I asked to leaved a message in his voicemail box, they do have this. Overall, my experience was very pleasant at Crunch. The guys standing up front were friendly and helpful, and they had a pretty fair amount of equipment. Only downfall would be that I wish they had more free weight equipment than machines. For $10 a month, however, it's hard to complain. read more
