This place is terrible, especially the management. Here are a few highlights, coming from someone that never leaves reviews but I've had such a bad experience I need to leave one: - the managers are kids, solely focused on volume, cold calling and suckering people into buying a long term contract (minimum of one year), with hidden fees charged periodically throughout the year without knowing it would happen. Once they get you to sign up, their job is done to them. The management staff are also all overweight and don't even workout. Instead they sit in their back office all day cold calling people, including me now over 3 times, even though I told them I'm already a member, so to remove me from their sales list. They don't keep track of things and keep forgetting. - they are cheap and don't keep up with the essentials of running a gym: for example, soap in the bathrooms, the shower shampoo, etc... even the clocks are all off. read more

I signed up for a year lease and now they are trying to tell me i signed up for a year and a half which is untrue. my app tells me I have no active agreement but they won't let me cancel until July l. they haven't sent me my agreement because they know they fucked up. save your money and go to a better gym. this gym has no good machines and their all busted as fuck but they still charge 40 a month which is ridiculous. anytime fitness should no longer be in business. read more

This review is for my horrible experience with the manager Alexis Montano. My daughter had joined over the summer before going away to college. She withdrew her membership in June with her last payment of July. My daughter spoke directly to Alexis in June and Alexis said she would take care of it. Fast forward to September and my daughter realizes she got charged for August and September! She tries several times to contact Alexis by calling the office number and kept getting the voice mail to which she leaves messages for Alexis to call her back. Alexis never calls my daughter back. I go to the gym as my daughter is away at college. There's a note on the door to ring the bell. I ring it several times, I look inside and see a few members working out. I call the office and it goes to voice mail. I am out there for a good 10 minutes before a member leaves and I go inside. Immediately to the right as you walk in is the office and a woman with dark hair is sitting there on her Ipad. I ask if she is Alexis and she confirms. I am immediately annoyed because she is dodging me standing right outside her office and dodging my recent call and in more than probability all of my daughter's calls. She is less than willing to help and I have to call my daughter while in her office to verify said information. Anytime Fitness is fraudulently keeping member's monies. Poor business practice for potential new and returning members. read more

Had a tour here with Megan yesterday and decided to join. She was very nice & showed me around the gym, and let me know about classes they offer and personal trainer sessions. Really nice that you can go to any one of their gyms, and you get your own key to come at anytime. Reasonable rate too compared to other gyms, and I have been a memeber at several different gyms. read more

I wish that I lived closer to this gym and could come more often, because I am absolutely floored by the level of cleanliness, professionalism, and compassion that the staff have here. What's more, they really care about the safety of their customers. As a woman working out alone at night, which I do often to avoid other people clogging up my favorite machines, I appreciate the key fob access. I realize this means a membership costs more, but that's worth it to me. The two women (Barbie Princess and Goth Princess) I've interacted with here are amazing people who love health and fitness! They're so awesome to talk to. People who keep it real but also aren't judgmental are sometimes hard to find in the world of personal fitness, so I appreciate the heck out of these two. They run a tight ship here: all surfaces are spick and span at any given time of day, the machines are never in disrepair, greetings are called out upon entry and exit, and the personal trainers are all dependable. Signed my sister up for the free trial. She went in at the time slot booked, it said ring doorbell, but nobody answered. She finally got in and the guy complained about giving her a tour. He then took her in the office and tried getting her to start a membership that day. She explained at this point she wants to start the free trial, not a full membership yet. He tells her to drive safe. Pricing quoted on phone was also much different than what was quoted in office. We ended up signing up at a much nicer gym for a few dollars less. read more

If I could give a zero I would! I've been a member since 2013 and as of the change over in new management it has gone down hill! Huge disappointment since Kindy left the new manager is snotty & bitchy and has an excuse for everything! The gym is always unkept now most times wipes are gone and it was this way before Coronavirus! I highly recommend thinking twice before going to this gym! All equipment is so close you feel as if your on top of the next person! Since my two larger gyms, 24 hour fitness and Calfit have closed due to bankruptcy and COVID-19, I signed up at this location as El Dorado County is open for business. Although smaller, it has enough equipment in the facility to get a great workout in and just about everything is Precor branded. This location is always clean and well maintained by the staff who also is very friendly. Even on days where staff is not present, I have found the floor to always be stocked with a great deal of sanitization bottles and wipes. read more

I love LIly Dilts! One of the best trainers I have ever had. Being in my 50's I have some physical limitations that made it hard to work out. Lily is a pro at working around those ailments and strength training so you don't re-injure yourself. I highly recommend her to all age groups and levels of fitness! She is strikingly beautiful and fit but never made me feel bad about myself. She taught me about proper nutrition and always motivates me! read more

Don't join this gym! I went to cancel my membership because I moved..after paying every month for MANY years! I signed up when club was 1st opened. and now haven't used club in about 8months because not convenient, because I'm now in folsom...they tell me I need to give a 30 day notice to cancel my membership!! Owners of this place SUCK!! They fired Kindy and other management, including my personal trainer. I prepaid for a full month of sessions in February and after my PT was let go 2 weeks into February I called them multiple times and left them a voice mail with my name & phone number asking them to call me back because I either wanted half my money back or to continue with another PT.... NO RESPONSE. The managers are what made this gym decent but now that they're gone this place is NOT WORTH IT. read more

My girlfriend and I went to check this place out since we're looking to relocate to Cameron Park. We worked out there for a day and it was a really amazing experience. Alexis Montano helped us and gave us a day pass. She was helpful, professional and very knowledgeable about her job. The gym itself has everything you need. Everything is top quality equipment, no squeaky old stuff. This location was my first time in an Anytime and I was really impressed overall; good customer service and the gym is very clean so I'm assuming even the gym members are part of keeping this place looking sharp. I started this gym about 4 months ago under the new management and it's one of the best decisions I've made. The staff is professional and courteous and made me feel welcome. The facilities are the cleanest I've ever seen as well as the bathrooms and showers. The equipment is top notch with touch screen state of the art controls. Great selection of free weights. Fairly small gym as far as Anytime Fitness clubs are concerned but has all the basics. It is a new gym as well, so all the equipment is new and seems to be in good working order. The owners are there during the day and offer a wide range of paid training services. They also have two shower rooms which I've never had to wait for. Now for some critiques: - The owner brings her little cute doggie in with her and lets it run free. This would be adorable except I am deathly allergic to pet dander so this is more than a minor annoyance during my workout. - The default channel on the cardio machine tv's is the Food Network...perhaps a subtle way to feed my foodie addiction and keep me coming back to the gym to work off my guilt? - ESPN didn't work on the cardio machines and they don't face the main TV's so a big hinderance during March Madness/NFL Playoffs - Limited selection of free weights and I have been a part of log jams during busy times. Overall, a pretty basic strip mall gym. Not the best in the area but good execution for what it is. If it's convenient for you, check it out. Otherwise look around and compare to some of the other bigger gyms in the area. read more

This gym sucks and customer service was awful! Gym stunk like sweat because it's too small for the amount of people in it. Obviously not enough ventilation. The managers office was closed even though they post that they should be open during office hours. I went to check out the gym for a new membership but the rep showed up late and didn't open the front door to let me in. I had to knock on the door and a member working out let me in. After I left the gym rep contacted me to try and justify why she wasn't there to meet me on time. Not acceptable and totally unprofessional! I'm not spending my money on a gym with bad customer service or poor gym maintenance. Don't join this gym if you are looking for larger selection of gym equipment or a cleaner larger environment. You can go elsewhere for the same price and better service. read more

I have used many Anytime Fitness gyms (literally) around the country. This one ranks up there with the very best. Since each gym is a little different, here are some highlights of equipment they have, and some features that help them score high in my book. Other than the "typical" selection of weight and cardio machines, there are 2 barbell racks, dumbbells that go up to 100 lbs, kettle bells that go to 35 lbs, 1 plate loaded leg press, 1 step mill, 2 rowing machines, and a nice multipurpose room for doing floor work, trx, or boxing bag training. Layout of weight room / cardio pieces is good - it does not feel too cramped. Staff is friendly - they do a great job of keeping the place clean, tidy, and helping educate members on proper gym etiquette and usage. Gym is very clean - machines, weights, floors, corners, fans, bathrooms... all this and more looks to be cleaned with frequency. Members are great - I work out somewhere between 7 am and 11 am and have found the place filled with friendly, motivating people at all fitness levels. read more

I've only been at this gym for about a year since I moved to the area, and I'm really satisfied with it. It's super clean, spacious, well lit, has mostly updated and working equipment, and members are respectful. I especially like their yoga/multi-purpose/stretch room which is a lot nicer and bigger than other ATs. As our NY's resolution was to join a gym, we were quite interested in finding a good one close to home. Yelp reviewers liked Anytime Fitness in Cameron Park and they were offering a free week of membership: "Take some time to get to know Anytime Fitness. The pass is FREE, and we would love to show you around our club!" In order to get this free pass I had to agree with the following: "By providing your contact information, you consent to be contacted by Anytime Fitness, LLC, its affiliates, master franchisees and/or its franchisees and their authorized designees, through email, telephone, text message, or by other means, some of which may be from an automated service,..." meaning that our contact info can now been sold to 2nd and 3rd party businesses - conditions our son terms "the third rail". Yikes. In addition, the 7 days had to be consecutive but excluded weekends (when staff where not in attendance). I was going to ask how that would work during our visit. After we were let in, the staff person informed us that we would have to buy a key fob for our trial. I said "well, that's ok...I assume you refund the $25 at the end of the trial?" "No", she said. At $25 for ONE WEEK, this was not exactly the free 7 day trial promised. And adds up to $1,300 per year at this rate for the gym. If the gym engages in this sort of deception before sign up, we shudder to think what else could happen after they have a contract and our credit card. We walked out. Two days AFTER our visit we get this email: "We offer 7-day trials to try out our club, but it requires a $24.95 non-refundable key fob so you may access the club." Not as advertised on the web. On the plus side, although small it was clean, had a lot of machines, and was almost empty at 11am on a weekday. read more

Pretty standard mini-mall gym. Adequate free weights, could use more elliptical/cardio machines, a good variety of machines. There are only 2 showers (which can create a logjam) and they don't have any soap or paper towels in the bathrooms. Overall, nothing special but ok. read more

We wanted to get some information to join this gym. Couldn't get in the door. Somebody came out so we went in. We signed in and sat down. Finally a lady approached us with a suspicious eye like what we did was so offensive. She went into her office and closed the door behind her. She came out a few minutes later and wanted our ID's. Satisfied, she told us we needed to sign in, which we already did. She reluctantly walked us around the small workout floor. With that kind of welcome we both decided right there and then that this was NOT the place for us. No thanks we'll keep searching for our gym. read more

I was a member here for about 2 years. I absolutely loved working out here! I recently moved and unfortunately they don't have an Anytime Fitness in my area now. Sad that I have to leave the Anytime Fitness in Cameron Park. The staff here are extremely pleasant and always helpful. I was always greeted with a smile from Kindy. I trained with Jon for just over a year. Prior to joining the gym I had no fitness experience. Jon helped me achieve my lean muscle goals. Week by week, session by session I was lifting more, completing more reps and building a new phisique. I highly recommend training with Jon for your fitness goals! This guy will get you results!!! This review is to set the story straight with Anytime Fitness in Cameron Park. My wife and I were gym members with 24 Hour and Family Fitness, both in Folsom when we were working. Now retired and in need of someplace closer to home, we hooked up with Anytime. I can say without doubt this place is top notch. I've read the couple reviews complaining about staff etc. and they are not accurate. Kindy is absolutely the sweetest lady and John is very well trained as an instructor and a very caring and nice fellow. The gym is kept exceptionally clean and neat, crowds are few, equipment is maintained very well and the floor layout is roomy and arranged very well. Security is excellent. Best to call them ahead of time to arrange access. Can't get in without an electronic key. If a gym is in your plans, give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have only been in the area a short time. Moved to Shingle Springs this last Summer. Needed a clean close place for me to do my workouts. Checkout a couple of gyms and settled on Anytime Fitness in Cameron Park. One of the cleanest, accommodating gyms I have ever been too. I have always had a gym membership so I know a gem when I see one. This gym by far is one of the cleanest and friendliness. Has everything you need to get an excellent cardio or lifting workout on top of a separate room for group workouts and stretching. The people that come to workout are always very conscious of other clients. No one person or group hogging the equipment. The Management staff is always willing to show you how to use the equipment if you are not sure. Highly recommend. read more

I moved to Cameron Park from the Bay Area and one thing I had on my list to do was to find a gym. My neighbor suggested Anytime Fitness. I went in with the idea that I would try it and then try other gyms as well and then make my decision. I decided to try Anytime Fitness for 30 days but in a few days, I knew it was the gym for me. The gym and machines are ALWAYS clean, you never have to wait for a machine, they have good A/C and lots of fans, everyone respects each other's space and there is plenty of parking. The manager, Kindy, runs a tight ship (in a good way) and takes pride in making the gym the best it can be. I like that the gym is small but has all the equipment you need and you can go in and get your workout done quick. So nice to have a gym, I like, just a mile away at a great price! read more
