Anytime Fitness feels like a complete scam. They advertise a "free pass" to try out the gym, but in reality, I was required to pay $50 just to use the facility for one week. That is not a free trial by any reasonable definition. When I confronted the gym manager at the Dyer location about this misleading practice, I explained that their advertising was deceptive. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she laughed it off, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. After actually using the gym, I quickly realized it was not a good fit for me. The layout is poorly designed, with multiple small rooms separated from each other rather than an open, easy-to-navigate floor plan. This made the space feel cramped and confusing instead of welcoming. On top of that, the cardio machines are placed directly in front of a plain concrete block wall, which is both distracting and unattractive. It made workouts feel dull and uncomfortable rather than motivating. To make matters worse, canceling the membership was extremely difficult. Breaking the contract was a frustrating process that took far more effort than it should have. I eventually managed to cancel, and honestly, I felt relieved once it was finally over. Based on my experience, I will never return to this company and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a transparent, customer-friendly gym. read more

Still with the same trainer at this gym and since joining in June, I'm down two sizes and almost 60lbs now while building the muscle needed to get me to a healthier me! I have made incredible friends here, watch as whole families are joining, which is heartwarming to see! I'm giving a shout out to their trainer, Ken, who pivots training methods to meet his client's individual needs and his humor is what takes you from feeling vulnerable to powerful! If I could give 0 stars, I would. TERRIBLE customer service so if you value customer service - avoid them at all costs. They don't care about you - only your money. If you ever run into financial trouble, they won't even let you cancel until you pay fees that you can't afford because, you know, the aforementioned financial troubles. Mentioned a contract signed over 5 years ago. Laughable. I don't live near, haven't been in 3 years, still paid all of that time until the past few months. Bank information changed so the account fell behind (mind you I'm not paying attention to it because again, I haven't been in 3 years and don't live nearby). I explained the situation thoroughly and was still sent to collections. Love having my credit ruined over a gym membership I haven't used in 3 years. Will NEVER patronize this gym again. The gym is clean with a nice variety of equipment. The leg day parking is a great touch.

Overall a good gym. I was a member for a while then left the country and came only to fine they changed the monthly pricing from $45 a month to $20 every other week all so they could get an extra $20 a couple times a year. Also they no longer have bath towels, just micro fibers to wipe down equipment. Which sucks because I have to bring 2 drying towels with me. 1 to dry with and 1 to use as a floor mat. Also, I understand the gym is unstaffed after a certain time but can they please get someone to go in and clean at night? The place is often filthy when I go in at night. Weights everywhere, microfiber towels every where and the showers are often a mess. But of the 3 AF locations I like this one because it has the most equipment and is the biggest. I can live with $20 every other week but can we bring back shower towels and get an over night cleaner. read more

Unfortunately, I canceled my membership with anytime fitness, the key fob is designed to work at all locations not true. I have not been to the club in over two years. I have never missed a payment. The membership was not working for me or my schedule since I live in Illinois and the key fob would not work. I called the club and I was told I would still have to pay another month from the time I canceled, however, the cancellation was not emailed promptly and I called a second time and the email added another month. I sent the cancellation over and I asked for consideration of not to be charged any additional and their claim is the rule not only are they charging the monthly fee but this is the time of year that their maintenance fee is due so they are charging me that as well! Signed up at this location two years ago and I've been quite happy. I've been to many gyms the past fifteen years and this is without a doubt the cleanest gym I've ever worked out at. As the Anytime Fitness brand goes, this is the largest and most equipped location I've been to. They always have a great supply of towels and the staff is friendly. As if they wasn't enough, the owner is hands on and can be seen fixing equipment and greeting guests regularly. Keep up the great work! read more

Coming here for a year now, I've admired the friendliness of the staff, the clean & fresh environment, and the engagement between members & trainers. I find it easy to stay motivated here with a positive atmosphere. Great gym with great ownership. This gym is huge with lots of clean modern equipment. All levels of Fitness would feel comfortable here.

Let's go piece by piece: These guys will burn you for a "service charge" of $35 twice a year in addition to their already pricey gym membership fees. "For facility upgrades". What? Isn't that what my $40 a month is for? They recently ran out of sterilizing wipes for over a week. Really? For the price I pay per month, you can't figure out how to check inventory on one of the most basic yet critical items in the place? Shouldn't I get a refund for that month or something? If you tell them to stop harassing you with endless calls or emails - they won't. I've only been a member for 6 months and have had to discuss this with them 4 times (not counting the emails, this is just phone calls). Do not call me, do not email me, I'm not interested in personal training, I don't care if you want to see how I 'like' the place. "We will put a note on your file." Yeah right. If you could pick the worst place to put free weights, it would be by one of the two entrances. Yet that's where Anytime Fitness Dyer elects to put them. This forces you to go between someone watching themselves in the mirror mid-set and the weights to try to get in the damn place. There is no floor space anywhere in the gym if the studio is occupied. Classes are during the busy hours, so if you want to do pushups or sit ups or bodyweight work, you won't find anyplace to make that happen. Bottom line: It's not worth it. Find a cheaper place that won't harass you. The glitz and glam doesn't mean anything when you're just there to workout and get out. read more

Going from Charter Fitness to Anytime Fitness was a good choice! Really like this gym a lot! With free tanning for members, free cycle classes, trainers and water massage bed! A lot of different equipment, just wish they could clean the plastic number in the front of the treadmills by the feet. read more

Cleanliness is huge for me...I visited a lot of gyms before joining Anytime Fitness. It's ALWAYS clean and everyone is good about wiping down equipment when they're finished with it. Everything works--if it's broke, they get it fixed right away. Tanning is included. Secure facility. It's open all the time (with your key) so you can go there, do your stuff and then get on with your life. I love that most of the machines have both android and iphone plugs...you plug in your phone, it charges it, you can listen to your music and it downloads your workouts so you can keep track of your progress. Directv and internet on the machines too. Friendly staff as well...very helpful. read more

Really good clean gym, been going there sense the beginning, however the customer service went to crap. Other than Jasmine, every employee they hire has really poor customer service skills. And most of the trainers are on their cell phones most of the time they're training you on your dime. All in all it is a very clean, convenient gym but like most businesses has grown very successful and started slacking on their customer service and quality of employees. read more

The best part about the gym is the 24/7 feature. As an early bird it was frustrating to wait on my former gym to open. Anytime Dyer has new equipment, personal tvs on the cardio machines, and more variety of free weight equipment than any other gym I have been to. Everything is clean. It also comes with free tanning, water massage, and classes. Only thing I wish was better was a bigger class studio and maybe yoga earlier than 8pm. Weekend classes would also be nice. read more

The place is kept clean. BUT when I signed up 2 years ago my 2 concerns were over crowding. Which the response was (the owners brother) we will allow so many people after that we will not accept any more new members, we are close so sign up now ( A LIE). 2nd I go in the mornings and they only have 2 showers. Not busy that early not and issue use the women if you have to. The first year little issues. Year two big issue they never responded to one not in the suggestion box! When my two years were up I explained why. I asked what I needed to close my account. I signed back up at Omni 41. I went to close my account they charged me an extra month. She said " This is standard procedure" THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING about the when I called them. LIARS stay away. read more

I've never been more comfortable at a gym. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have every piece of equipment you would need and tanning is included. I was nervous the first time I was there by myself at 1am, but they make you feel so safe and I ended up staying for longer than I expected. The room with the classes on the projector was the deciding factor for me. Not only did they have everything I was looking for in a gym, but they also have any exercise class available anytime I want. There's really no question, this is the gym to sign up for. read more
