The manager is cool and the gym itself is fine. But their billing service started charging me double and the manager is powerless to do anything. He gave me the number to contact them and nobody ever answered. Then he said he would give me a few months free to offset the price difference and it never materialized. When I got charged double again the next month he said he was "waiting approval" for the free months. It's just not worth dealing with and being stolen from when nobody can help you, so I cancelled my credit card. This is a warning to everyone - the manager is a good guy and yet he is powerless to stop the company from stealing your money. *update* as of May 21 they are still somehow charging me so I had to call my bank again. We reviewed the charges together and I feel stupid - they've been charging me double, sometimes quadruple, THE ENTIRE TIME!! Check your statements people, they're stealing from us! read more

I'm very dissatisfied about my experience here. I just moved to the area and wanted to join a gym where I could travel with reciprocal rights. This one seemed to be perfect. I called them twice in the morning and no answer. So, I decided to travel there in order to join. I got to the gym at 9:45am and couldn't get in. I waited outside and stopped a car that was leaving the parking lot. The driver related he cleans up there, but couldn't let us in. That I understand. He said the employee who could sign us up arrives at 10am. He tried calling that person, but there was no answer. He then texted him, with no reply. We waited a few minutes then he drove off. He did try to assist us. 10am came and gone. Minutes afterward, we saw another gym just next door (Blu). We went there and joined. It is also open 24 hrs, but staffed only after 8am. I have NO idea when Anytime Gym is staffed, but at a minimum they should post their hours on the door and be there then. So how can anybody even join Anytime Fitness??? There is a sign on the door with "STAFFED HOURS", but the sign has nothing written on it. See my picture! My guess is that you must be a member of another Anytime Fitness Gym to use this one, or perhaps join online? The Anytime Fitness in Kyle is highly unsanitary. The bathrooms are disgusting. The sink and shower look like they have not been cleaned in weeks. The floors are disgusting, especially in the back corner where the yoga mats/rowing machines are located. In fact, I had to leave I was so grossed out. Worst gym ever! We are actively shopping for other options. Most of the TVs are broken, the gym is HOT and cramped. Full of people who take their shoes off. Plus the meathead bro culture. Music is loud enough to hear over my headphones. I shouldn't have to destroy my hearing just to work out indoors. I'm a music professor with a working knowledge of how sounds transmits into the brain. Once you destroy the mechanisms of the inner ear they are gone forever. Turn it down! Also it is consistently far too warm. There are plenty of people like myself who have high blood pressure which is exacerbated by heat. I could work a lot harder if there were shades over the windows. Again, looking for other options. read more

Walked in on March 4 to cancel. Mgr noted an additional billing was within the cycle. Wrong. Third party billing confirmed billing is for future month and not prior. So on March 25th I was billed $40 for APRIL. which was so far from cancelling on the 4 that the manager "confabulated" to hold a account. To add injury to insult, he DID NOT cancel and I was subject to another charge on April 15th. If you cancel your membership at the Kyle, TX location get a name, time, date, copy of cancellation and picture. Do not trust the branch manager. read more

The only reason I come here is that they have fairly good equipment and it is close to my house. Other than that this place is pretty poor. The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly and at times rude, the facility is pretty dirty and OMG do they have to play such horrible, loud music. I've seen the same dust bunnies and the same trash (dental floss picks) on the floor for several days . So whoever is supposed to clean is not doing a very good job. I think the music is selected by the young guys who work there, because no matter who is in there it's always rap and hip-hop music. If that's what they are going to play, fine, but how about keeping it at a lower decibel so that those of us who don't like it can hear our own music through our headphones. It would be nice if the employees were friendly, polite and welcoming to everyone who comes in, not just to a select few. It's called customer service. read more

Worst anytime fitness I've ever been to. Frequently runs out of wipes for machines, restrooms are dirty, gym isn't swept, showers have build up, trash cans are always full, restrooms smell like pee. Impossible to get out of your contract even though it has been fulfilled!!! Don't join. No one will answer the phone. "Joe" gives you the runaround, can't find your account, will suspend it for a fee. I terminated the account and 57 days later the entire fee was deducted. They also deducted the full amount 8 days before the contracted date and the manager couldn't take my phone call because he had 6 people in line demanding their money back. This is not the first time I have had a family member try to get out of the monthly payments. Keep in mind, this was AFTER the contract had been fulfilled. Did I say the contract had been fulfilled.....honored? Do not join!! Calling the Better Business Bureau now and maybe even American Greed. The only reason they have one star from me is because Yelp wouldn't post it unless I hit a star but they are not star worthy. read more

The worst gym I have ever signed up for. This place was small, unclean and never had enough equipment available. I tried multiple times to cancel my membership and months later....they have still been charging my account. I have since e-mailed, mailed a certified letter, called and even walked in to the gym to get this resolved, but they still keep charging me. I've been working out at Anytime off and on since January. One thing that kind of sucks is that the gym is small, but anyone who signs up here knows that. During the day I find there are too many people on machines I want to use. I'm dying to use the phrase "they only come out at night", but I've never seen any freaks at this gym. Maybe I'm just referring to myself. Anyways, I only go here at night, because I'm usually awake really late anyways. There's hardly anyone here after 11pm. I have gone during the day before and one of the trainers has spotted me a few times and even gave me an extra tip about hand positioning. I thought that was nice. A trainer at 24 Hour Fitness wouldn't even breathe at you unless you handed over a bill with at least Benjamin Franklin's face on it. I also like how they frequently update their bulletin board with nutrition/fitness tips. They also have sign-up sheets for extra classes (which I assume are free). So that's cool. I, however, struggle with commitment. You can also go to any other Anytime Fitness for no extra charge (I think). Which is awesome. The one complaint I have is to any other member reading this: RACK YOUR EFFING WEIGHTS. You put them on in the first place, so use 1 more % of your muscle to take them off, please. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! INJURIES & SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES !! I take negative feedback very seriously and don't post it lightly. I wish I never went to this place ... LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES AND STAY AWAY!!! I wish there was a way to leave a negative rating FOR Anytime Fitness. I went there over 3 years ago, bought 3 a week training sessions for a year and a half. I quit going over a year ago after experiencing my second injury here while training under supervision of the staff. FIRST... achilles tendinitis and then a shoulder injury that caused limited mobility in my rotator cuff that I am still recovering from. I would let them know about my injuries when I was at the facility, and decided it was in my best interest to no longer use the services they offered. I didn't stop their auto draft until I changed cards... and today, I found out that after all the money I spent here that I have been reported to a collection agency for services that I did not use. I left this service with two injuries and now this business owner has DAMAGED MY CREDIT SCORE, and caused me a significant problem. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Do you enjoy long lines for your favorite gym equipment? This place is perfect for you. Do you enjoy long wait times to use the shower? This is the place is perfect for you. Do you enjoy having to circle the parking lot over and over and over looking for a parking spot? Then this place is perfect for you. The equipment is ok. Nothing fancy, but nothing cheap. The bathrooms need serious work. Leaks from the shower heads. The "anti slip" that is put in the bathrooms are mats that are used behind bars. I've seen the cleaning crew clean them - all they do is mop over them or take them outside and spray them with a hose. Those need to be soaked in bleach water to be sanitized. Buyer beware on this location and don't let them fool you if you want to end the contract early. I was told that I could "freeze" my account for the last 3 months @ $5.00 per month. I thought this was a great compromise. Only to find that that this EXTENDS your contract by 3 months, so not only did they get an extra $15.00 out of me, they also got to charge another "club enhancement fee" which is another way they milk extra $$ out of you. For the rates they charge, you are better off going to Gold's Gym. Better equipment, less wait, more toilets and showers. Oh, and the best part about Gold's is that while you are showering you don't have to be haunted by the remaining odor of the previous users bowel movement. read more

Today I noticed $250 is owed to a collection agency in Canada from this anytime fitness after I was told my account would be canceled. This gym is small with barely any equipment and they want to lock you into a membership cost that doesn't match the facilities quality. My advice would be to not join this gym at all and to join bluedge fitness across the street it's way better. But they fail to mention a lot of hidden fees then unless I would have asked them about the hidden fees they would have never mentioned to me. I thought that was really shady. Very unprofessional business! I requested to cancel my membership at the beginning of January. Manager said I may get charged one more time. After I was charged again a second time I went back to ask why and he said that "he forgot" to submit the paperwork that day. And now I have been charged again a third time. He offered to reimburse me but not through the business but through his personal Venmo, which he also never sent. Came up to discuss during the "staffed" hours and no one is here. Will never recommend anyone to do business here. If the manager was more worried about his job than getting his workout in then mistakes like this probably wouldn't happen. read more

Submitted a better business bureau complaint. They are requiring an in person or notarized sign off to cancel (a bad business practice) to cancel your service (during a pandemic?!!). This is even if you are month to month. Sad to see this type of business practice is still going on unchecked. Time warner used to do this and I reported them as well. This anytime is bigger then the buda location but as of July 8th the place is a total wreck, it looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. It's got the little wipes littered all over the place (which there is no more of), it's disgusting .
