BUYER BEWARE: We were told on the phone that it would be $60 for the first person, $30 for the second. When we arrived Taira told us that the "Hero Plan" was cheaper ($24.99/person -- we're being billed $122/month) -- way to treat your veterans -- apparently there's an UPcharge to defend the country per this location's pricing plan? On top of that we got hit with a $100 "club enhancement fee" that we were not advised about (Tiara said that it was embedded in the fine print of the electronic copy of the membership we signed. Way to go with being upfront with fees/charges Anytime Montgomery. My advice? Drive to the Anytime Fitness in College Station (pricing clearly listed on website in COLLEGE STATION is $25/person with discount of 10% for military = $22.50/month) and then USE the facility at Montgomery but DON'T sign up at the Montgomery Eva Street location. As an Aggie I really hate deception ... even the person who answered the phone in Taira's absence said that it was $45/person/month. When I visited this particular facility, I was struck by how dirty the place was. The womens' bathroom was gross to say the least. I plan to visit the other nearby Anytime Fitness facilities to see if this is an isolated case. Frankly, Mongomery, TX is very under-served by quality fitness facilities. This happened last year. The manager was extremely rude. I was being chartered for a year for a personal trainer that I had just before covid. They never got back to me. Then when I finally caught someone actually answer the phone he told me they no longer use those people and couldn't give me a number. I went down there to talk to him and he was angry. He did give me a number then told me to leave his gym, after I told him he could see some people skills. I told him not to worry I would not be back. He proceeded to follow me outside taunting me the whole way. Stood in the door way yelling at me not to return as I was getting into my car. read more

The manager there is nothing but rude. He told me that I needed a doctors note to be able to cancel my membership. I had one due to my autoimmune diseases, sent it to him. Tried to call him, no answer no call back. My mom tried to get ahold of him, no answer no call back. But was continuing to bill me. read more

Gym is nice, but the owners and managers are criminals. When I signed up, I told the manager that I didn't like being stuck in a contract. He assured me that if I ever wanted to cancel, it was just a simple $50 cancellation fee and I could be done with it. I had my son with me at the time so I wasn't trying to sit and read a 10 plus page contract on the tiny Ipad they sign you up on so It's my ignorance for not reading the fine print. However, regardless I was lied to by the manager and he neglected to mention the key point that in order to cancel for $50 you have to move where there are no anytime fitness locations within 50 miles, deploy with the military, or die. That is literally what the general manager told me. When I explained that I had been deceived by HIS EMPLOYEE, the general manager told me tough luck, he works for a corporate company and I was not his problem. He also told me if I didn't pay then I would be held legally liable for the remaining balance on the contract. Either way, I told the guy when signing up that I hated contracts for this reason and he 100% lied and deceived me to make the sale. It's my ignorance for not reading the fine print but for this reason I will never buy another gym membership anywhere ever, and I will do my best to ensure no one ever does business with this crooked company ever again. Especially with the corrupt employees of the Montgomery TX location. This is a small town and there are tons of other great options for fitness. read more

Anytime fitness...deceptive....so read every word of your contract despite what you're told by whomever is signing you up. Oh and don't forget to ask about the "gym enhancement fee" they charge you and don't tell you about. Forget about getting anyone local to answer an email...correspondence is sent to whatever company does their billing and you can't even reply. Although this location is smaller, it is not lacking in proper and good management. This gyms manager has to be one of the nicest and most helpful I have ever met. He is honest and helpful. The machines and facilities are well maintained and thoroughly cleaned by Jay and Andrew. read more

I recently moved to the area and came from California. I was a little skeptical of a new gym because I'm so used to the gyms back home, but I have to admit, I became a member of this one because it was so convenient to where I live now, and I actually love it more. I can come in at any time of day or night and get my workout done a lot faster and they have all the equipment I need for weight training. The other members are respectful and dont bother you while trying to complete your workout, which I love! The manager, Jacob, is very nice and helpful to anything that is needed or questions I may have. He gives more of a personal touch instead of the corporate feel like some gyms can have. I'd definitely recommend this gym to my friends. read more

Do not join this club. It is impossible to cancel your membership, and they will continue to Bill your account even after multiple attempts to cancel. I have called numerous times to the Montgomery site, and left messages. On the one occasion I was connected to someone at the site, I told them I wanted to cancel. The lady who answered the phone the one time I was able to speak with anyone told me their computers were down and she would call me back the next day. Of course, I never heard back from her. I went to the facility once but no one was in the office during business hours, and my door fob no longer works. They are on the same level of customer service as Suddenlink though Suddenlink stopped billing me once I had spent five days on the phone with them cancelling the service. Be forewarned! read more

This gym is ideal for any type of workout, whether it's cardio, weightlifting or stretching! Access 24/7, spacious and offers an excellent selection of weight machines/equipment. Upon arrival, the general manager (Jacob) was super friendly and answered all of my questions regarding membership and classes. Wife and I were members from very beginning (signed up when drywall going in) of this place opening so we had spectacular rates. My wife decided to cancel her plan and went in herself to cancel. The owner/manager said no problem. I notice we did not get charged for the following month. The owner was called and asked about this where we were told he cancelled both of us because our rates were too good and there was no way we should have a rate like this. He took it under his wing that at this opportunity when my wife was cancelling to treat it as a 'new contract' so I would have to start from scratch. What a sleaze ball 'manager/owner'. Never did he tell my wife or myself that he was going to cancel both, no opportunity was given to maybe pay a bit more, nothing.....just 'sorry'. His smugness and condescending attitude on the phone brought out the verbal attack from me unfortunately. Here's to your business failing! read more

Nice gym, but it is the smallest anytime fitness I've been in. Machines are practically on top of each other.

I hope this helps out anyone that is still undecided about which Gym to join! I have had some bad experiences at certain places but the ethics that this facility has are by far the worst I have seen. During March I was out of work and also having to pay for summer tuition as a college student. I reached out on March 31st via email I found on Facebook because I was unable to reach anyone at the facility and was told there was no specific time they would even be back in office. I explained my situation and was asking what can I do from here, I understand I signed a contract but is there any cancellation fee or anything to help me get out of the contract so I can focus my resources towards more important things in my life. We exchanged emails through the day and all she told me was basically sorry for your inconvenience but there is no way out of the contract and I can pay a fee to freeze it for a few months. I ended up having to take the draft off my account and heard nothing more until August 3rd when I received an email from ABC Financial saying this is my final notice and they will now be handing my information over to creditors. Fast forward through taking care of that and reaching out to them, I got ahold of Jay the manager at Anytime Fitness and was told to send a doctor note stating my health issues prevent me from coming to the gym and send it via certified mail. I sent the certified letter on August 17th and it was delivered on August 19th and was not signed for even though they were supposed to sign. I also did not receive any communication till August 31st when Jay called me to tell me he can't cancel due to the balance I owe. Keep in mind all of that balance would have been nonexistent if they even told me about this option when I reached out initially. Overall, I should have just drove a few extra miles and committed to a different gym. read more

PATHETIC ! I called to get the rates on a monthly membership and a douchebag named Cody answers and tells me there's a special going on and it would be $17.99 so I should come on in so when I asked him if it would be $17.99 a month he answered with his douchebag attitude saying no I said it was $17.99 to join . I asked if it was bigger than Snap Fitness and he said yes so I asked if they have more equipment and once again with his douchebag attitude stated well yeah obviously I told you it was bigger . So once again I asked besides the $17.99 to join how much would it be monthly and he hung up on me . Just because the gym is bigger that doesn't mean they have more equipment because some gyms offer boxing and cardio classes and still at the end of the conversation he was reluctant to tell me the monthly rates . I had to call corporate to look into the situation and if that's their idea of customer service they won't have very many customers , I'd stay far away from this place . read more
