My fiancée and I stopped in on Monday because I wanted to help her get comfortable working out in a public gym environment. I've been to multiple Anytime Fitness locations before and have never had an issue bringing a guest--usually you just pay a small fee (around $10), which I was fully willing to do. There were no clear signs or communication at the time stating otherwise. What really turned this into a negative experience was what happened after. Instead of a simple follow-up or even a professional conversation, I received a call the next morning from Mike Starck, who identified himself as the owner. The call quickly became aggressive and accusatory. Rather than trying to understand the situation or clarify their policy, he immediately assumed I was intentionally breaking rules and spoke to me in a way that felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. As someone who works in customer service and understands business, this is not how you retain or build relationships with potential customers. A simple explanation of policy would have gone a long way. Instead, the tone and approach made it clear that customer experience is not a priority at this location. For comparison, I regularly go to the Anytime Fitness in Woodridge, and the level of customer service there is night and day--friendly, welcoming, and professional. I would strongly recommend reading reviews before visiting this Naperville location. There are plenty of other Anytime Fitness gyms that treat people with respect--this unfortunately isn't one of them. read more

Great place to workout. Has a variety of equipment for weight training and 24/7 access makes it easy to get your workout in consistently. Awesome atmosphere with friendly staff and gym goers. Definitely recommend! read more

Technically, only a half-star NOT a full one. Update some of your equipment, specifically the stair stepper - it's very outdated compared to the latest versions. Add a couple of rowing machines. Most importantly ... FIX THE THE SHOWER FACILITIES!!!!!!! They should be a total embarrassment to the Manager, and most certainly to the franchisee!! Yet, based upon the FACT that neither have been cleaned in the entire time I've been a member is a real testament to the lack of regard for the paying customer!!! They are filthy at best .. both are very infested with flying bugs and ants. The recent feeble (slow & incomplete after 3 days of alleged repairs) attempt to fix the tiles is only doing the bare minimum. How the local, county, or States Departments of Health have not fined you or shut you down until the proper care has been taken is beyond me. Those facilities should be thoroughly cleaned EVERY DAY, including the weekend!!!!!! I am strongly considering canceling my membership. Again, your gym is an embarrassment .. and you don't appear to care .. or, you're simply to ego driven to even notice!!! On the upside ... The manager, Shane, is a good guy .. to bad he works for such a cheap-ass franchisee that won't invest in updating the equipment or the cleanliness of the gym. read more

Scam. I don't recommend this place at all. They charge hundreds of dollars ($599 when I was there) for a 6 week "challenge" that you get back if you "win". The challenge is 20lbs in six weeks. Not healthy and not sustainable. High rent for a place that's kinda shabby and run down. They had someone waiting that had joined the challenge that they didn't seem to know or know what was going on with her. Got my name wrong but they care so much about me. Then proceeded to tell me that since my kids are grown and I'm not married I can spend all my free time in the gym to make the challenge All kinds of don't waste your time here vibes. Sorry. I joined this Anytime Fitness about a month ago, based on the recommendation from a friend who's been a member for years. I have to say, this is the most comfortable I have ever been at a gym. Mike enthusiastically greets every person as they walk in the gym. You feel like you're coming into a welcoming family the minute you enter. As a female, safety is a concern especially working out after the staff leaves. Because Mike knows every person walking into that gym and has cameras everywhere, I feel very secure even after hours. The people I have seen working out are focused on themselves, and I have not had a single issue with another person while there. I work out with Joe and he's a great trainer. He listens very well to my needs and accommodates them professionally. He's very supportive. I also like how he explains how each exercise fits into the overall program. I can honestly say he's one of, if not the best, trainer I've had. I've been to many gyms throughout my many decades of life, and am so glad to be a member of this one. read more

I've been a member for over three years now and travel extensively for work (so I've seen A LOT of AF locations). This location is BY FAR both the cleanest and biggest AF I have ever seen. All of the equipment is in perfect condition and you could eat of the floors (if you're into that kind of thing..). I stopped in on a Sunday so I didn't get to interact with any of the staff, but I'm sure they are stellar because they keep a spotless gym. read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to gyms -and I've gone to a lot over the past few years (XSport, LA Fitness, Title Boxing..the list goes on) but this gym was definitely 5 stars. I came here while in town visiting my parents (normally I go to the Anytime Fitness in Fort Myers which I also love). Wanted to keep up with my workouts so I found this Anytime (once you're a member you can go to any Anytime Fitness). Overall -super clean, HUGE, and everything is new -what's not to love? Equipment - Treadmills are by the window which is perf because then you have something interesting to stare at haha. Also all the dumbbell weights were new and clean -yay! Turf - the purple turf area is awesome and they have the weighted sled which I've just started trying out (such a good leg and glute workout) and they also have the ropes, kettle bells and gymnastics rings which I try to do but no luck haha. Staff -super friendly Towels - no towels, but this is something I'm used to as my other Anytime Gym doesnt offer towels either. It's probably better to bring your own towels anyways. read more

If you are debating over which gym to join STOP, CHOOSE THIS ONE! It is by far the best gym I have every been to. It is so clean, there is a variety of equipment, you rarely have to wait to use a machine, there are outlets everywhere, the water is free and clean, they have a scale if you don't have one at home, the owner and trainers are so nice and supportive, and I personally enjoy the movies when doing cardio. I have been to other AnyTime Fitnesses before but none of them compare to this one. I am honeslty really upset that I have to move, just because I doubt I will ever find a gym as good as this one. read more

This gym is low key fire because it does not get much traffic and the interior is spacious. I never have to wait to use equipment. The staff has been friendly and helpful so far. I really like facility, clean and well maintained. However I have to give it a low rating as when ever I have had to interact with a staff member I have had nothing but bad experiences. Not returning phone calls or emails, having training consultation appointments that were missed my the staff. Definitely not worth the headache. Have been trying to get ahold of someone to cancel my membership, as I have not been going lately, month and 6 attempts later still nothing. read more

I had a fantastic experience at this location. All staff members were beyond kind and extremely helpful when it came from anything from membership details to best warm up exercises. The workout spaces were tidy and other members were mindful of wiping off equipment after use. Great atmosphere if you want to have an energetic class or a quiet solo workout. This is a very well-maintained facility. It is super clean and organized. It also has a lot of bands, medicine balls, slam balls, hand weights, etc. that you normally don't see at other big box gyms. All those great things said, my experience with the staff has not been good. It was difficult to try to reach someone to even start my membership, two years later, I spoke to Joseph over a week ago to pause my membership, he said he'd send me a confirmation email. I never got one and my account was just charged again. I'll be reaching out to corporate because I don't think I will be able to resolve this with the staff at this location. read more

Would not recommend. Any gym is better. The membership is overpriced. I tried to cancel in the allowed refund period but they made it a hassle and keep giving me the run around. I had to contact my credit card multiple times since this place would not refund or cancel my gym membership. After that whole hassle they stuck a debt collector after me. I tried to cancel my membership within a couple of days. This place is a nightmare to deal. Stay away. read more
