    Love this OTF location! Clean and equipment/machines are well maintained. All the coaches here are great and are so encouraging!

    Love it! Best 1 hour workouts I've ever done. Every workout is different and always challenging. Trainers are motivating and friendly.

    I have worked out my entire life and tried at various times different trainers (privately, local…read moregyms, equinox etc.) None have worked out or I felt like gave me an edge up in my overall fitness pushing me to another level. Brian has hands-down given me that edge and provided me with a foundation for longevity, mobility, strength and conditioning. I came to him after my wife gave birth (I had gained 15-20 pounds when my wife was pregnant). I not only was out of shape, but also experiencing various pain in my hips and legs from my workouts (lack of stability strength on top of lots of running). I lost 25-30 pounds with Brian, but not only that - I now am in a much better position with my flexibility, strength and conditioning for extending my long-term health and fitness. This comes from a focus not only on workouts, but also on nutrition. Brian helps to shape workouts to your preference and helps to focus in on what is working and what is not with your eating habits. Losing weight becomes very easy - frankly, I now work to keep weight on! Finally, Brian is very knowledgeable and overall a great guy. He is easy to work with and accommodating to clients - especially those with demanding jobs (e.g. law, finance, etc.) Would highly recommend Brian!!

The gym features a variety of classes (including cardio, strength training, etc.). I tried the "Gonna Make You Sweat" class--it is a good mix of cardio, strength training, and core work. The gym has all new equipment (treadmills, stair climbers, rowers, free weights, racks, etc.). The gym utilizes the latest technology in personalized fitness through the use of heart monitors. Each gym user has the option of wearing a heart rate monitor and the data is displayed on the gym screen during the workout session. The software actively tracks your heart rate in comparison to your target heart rate. At the end of the workout, you receive an email with your workout stats (e.g., average minimum and maximum heart rate, heart zones during the workout, etc.). The data links into the MAR fitness app on your smartphone, so you can track your stats workout-to-workout. The gym amentities include single user bathrooms (shower included) and lockers with built-in combination key pads. Ample parking given the gym's close proximity to the Downers Grove Downtown Parking Garage and the train station parking lot (available during the evening hours and on the weekends). The classes range from 30-60 minutes, I believe, and they even have ShredKids which is a kids section in the studio for parents! I thought that was such a thoughtful addition to their studio. I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. They truly do so much - live DJ workouts, perks for special occasions, collaborations, putting different instructors on with opportunities, it's just really genuine and you can tell!

Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!

If I could stop eating like a wild animal who doesn't know when they will see their next meal, I could probably be doing even better, but hey, I have young kids so lay off me. But that's also the reason Brit is great. I have young kids and I don't have a lot of time to be in the gym or think about my program. Brit makes the programs easy to follow and understand. Through her app, everything is laid out for me. I don't even have to think about it until I get into the gym that day. Every week is scheduled in advance. She checks in routinely and is regularly asking for feedback on how the workouts are going. There is also a level of accountability which I love. Brit really is a champion and a motivator--even from a distance.
