    Broken machines

Horrible! very overcrowded and dirty. I have been a member for three years. The club is always crowded with rude people with no gym etiquette. The club does not have a manager on duty and the staff couldn't care less. You would think for over 200.00 a month it would be much better. I can only hope another company opens a gym close by.

This isn't a glitz-and-glam gym. There are no flashy lights or influencer vibes. What you get instead is something far more valuable a healthy, structured strengthening program with real guidance to help you become a better version of yourself. It's about movement, longevity, and building strength the right way. What really sets this gym apart is the coaching staff. The coaches are consistent not rotating in and out which makes a huge difference. They know your name, your goals, your strengths, and where you need improvement. That continuity builds trust and real progress. The community is amazing. This isn't just a place to work out. Members volunteer with local pet shelters, connect outside the gym for pickleball gatherings, and host educational sessions on topics like perimenopause giving women knowledge and giving men insight so they can better support the women in their lives. That kind of environment is rare. Every month there are new challenges to push yourself, plus self-achievement awards that recognize individual wins. And I have to say the spicy stickers are a nice touch. Small detail, but it shows they celebrate effort and consistency in a fun way. Beyond Measure isn't just about lifting weights. It's about building strength in your body, confidence in yourself, and connection in your life. If you're looking for community, accountability, and long-term health plus fun this is it.

Paying for a…read moregym membership and trying to figure out what to do next or doing the same thing every time just was not working. We were tired of the yo-yo. We stumbled across EnShape Fitness through the Ro Sport Chiropractic office, which is right next door. There are many reasons why I love EnShape. The classes are small (max 8 people), which allows for semi-private training; they know everyone by name, you're not just another number in their system. They have a variety of training classes from metabolic cardio, strength training, recovery cardio, and circuits. Along with fitness, they also incorporate nutritional training, which is the key to successful weight loss and maintenance. They teach you that this is a life style change, not just another diet. The staff at EnShape is small, so they get to know your strengths and weaknesses and you get to know them on a personal level. You have accountability with weekly weigh-ins and a monthly meeting with your trainer. They care about you, your goals, and your success. Since the middle of August, I am down almost 30 lbs and 2 pant sizes. I can dead lift and bench press more than I ever thought possible. I can push the sled across the gym with weight without any help (the first time I could barely get it 25 ft without any help), and throw the battle ropes with ease. I have more stamina than I used to and feel myself getting stronger. I have definitely seen success in how I feel and how I am looking. I still have a ways to go, but I know that I'm on the right path with the right people. If you're looking for a small gym where the trainers genuinely care about you and where you can find success, check out EnShape. You won't be disappointed.

I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I work out with her exclusively via FaceTime and as a busy, working Mom, it couldn't be more perfect. She is on time and friendly, even at 6 am! If you are on the fence about contacting her, do it! You won't regret it. Scheduling times with her is easy and if I ever need to move times around she is very accommodating. My fiancée and I stopped in on Monday because I wanted to help her get comfortable working out in a public gym environment. I've been to multiple Anytime Fitness locations before and have never had an issue bringing a guest--usually you just pay a small fee (around $10), which I was fully willing to do. There were no clear signs or communication at the time stating otherwise. What really turned this into a negative experience was what happened after. Instead of a simple follow-up or even a professional conversation, I received a call the next morning from Mike Starck, who identified himself as the owner. The call quickly became aggressive and accusatory. Rather than trying to understand the situation or clarify their policy, he immediately assumed I was intentionally breaking rules and spoke to me in a way that felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. As someone who works in customer service and understands business, this is not how you retain or build relationships with potential customers. A simple explanation of policy would have gone a long way. Instead, the tone and approach made it clear that customer experience is not a priority at this location. For comparison, I regularly go to the Anytime Fitness in Woodridge, and the level of customer service there is night and day--friendly, welcoming, and professional. I would strongly recommend reading reviews before visiting this Naperville location. There are plenty of other Anytime Fitness gyms that treat people with respect--this unfortunately isn't one of them.
