I wasn't going to leave a review but Anytime has left me no choice. Moved out of the Reno area and no longer wanted the membership. Had been a member for over 3 years so you'd think cancelling wouldn't be a hassle right? Well if you've read the other reviews you'd know that is not the case. We were told that in order to cancel the quickest way would be in person. So my wife goes to the gym and shocker, no manager is on duty. Middle of the day. Middle of the workweek. We leave a dated note and slid it under the door. Then I call the next day to make sure they got it. Come to find out, you need to mail one for the postmarked date. Of course but whatever. So I did that with a request on the letter to text when they get confirmation. Day comes I get the text and it is getting processed (See Attachment.) Then two weeks goes by and I see they are trying to process another payment!!! Now I'm pissed and call up only to be told that not only are they going to process that payment but are going to process another two weeks after the fact!!! Put in a call to the bank to block payment which they did. Now I'm getting payment requests from Anytime and their creditors. Requested to talk to their DM Hunter (Was only given first name) Still no callback. Extremely disappointed in my treatment from this company. Safe to say I will never rejoin this gym and will be more than happy to tell this story to anyone that considers doing so. read more

I have called, emailed, stopped at the location when the MANAGER said she would be there, and yet, cannot cancel my membership. How convenient the employee working at the time the manager was supposed to be there, can only initiate memberships- not cancel. This is a money hungry franchise. None of the Anytime gyms in Reno have good reviews. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Amazing coaches and staff! I joined AF's 6 week challenge (pay a fee, lose 20 lbs or 7% body fat in 6 weeks, and get my money reimbursed) and had an amazing time going to the small groups classes. The coaches, Victor and Chandler, have kick-ass workouts (literally). I was always sore, but felt stronger every day. I really appreciated the nutrition guide given & that they reminded me it was 80% nutrition & 20% exercise. When I got weighed in & my results weren't as great as I wanted them, they didn't discourage me & gave me tips on how to improve the following week. One of my goals was to improve my running and run a half marathon later this year. Victor created a run plan tailored to me on my off-gym times. Victor and Chandler communicated very well with workouts. The gym was always very clean and well equipped with everything I needed. When I finished the 6 week challenge, the team was happy for me and it was an easy process getting my money reimbursed. read more

I used to love going here but have gotten an at home gym to save money. However I've been trying to call during the week days of their work hours and no one ever seems to answer the phone. I have left a few voicemails in regards to this leaving my name and phone number. I have yet to receive a call back it has been about a month. I've been coming to this location for a little over 4 years and I mean what can I say really. It's a gym, with 2 convenient locations for where I live, it's open 24/7 and has virtually everything I need, to work out, no matter what part of my body I want to work on. I usually don't come during staff hours because of my work schedule, but I have been able to recently over the last few weeks. Jason approached me as I walked in, to ask me about my fitness goals and my interest in personal training. While I was not interested, due to work hours, and children's extra curriculares, he was who I brought some concerns to. I was introduced to the manager and I brought to his attention that we pay a high fee to work out here, and there is a maintenance fee twice a year but yet some of the equipment does not work, some of the equipment needs to be vacuumed out due to dirt and pebbles being in them making it slippery, pieces of equipment are broken, there's no TP in the the bathrooms when I come in at 11pm, trash cans are often overflowing by the end of the night and the turf in the empty room people can use to work out was covered in various types of hair including but not limited to animal hair from people's clothes. Some of the concerns were addressed and have improved but there is still broken equipment and the same elliptical still has dirt and pebbles in it. This location never use to be in this condition and I don't know what's happening, but I can't say I'm a fan of paying a higher fee than places like fitness connection and planet fitness with little extra amenities like the two above named gyms have to offer, like saunas, steam rooms, pools, Zumba classes, etc. However, this location has a hydro massage room you can use for an additional fee, and the North Hills location has a standing in tanning area. It does have the private room so if I want to do floor work, there's more room to work out in or do yoga in. This location is my go to for location and it does have everything I needs. I would just like to see it a little cleaner and better kept. read more

They keep the place freezing in the winter. People are wearing jackets in the gym and leaving. I couldn't even break a sweat to burn fat.

For how much they charge, definitely not worth it. Never had any wipes to clean off equipment after use even with all the signs spread throughout the place reminding people to wipe down equipment. Place is always hot and humid. The charge every so often to supposedly go towards fixing equipment and for new equipment, yet they had about 3 treadmills broken at once which took about 2 weeks to fix, multiple equipment is run down, and rusty. Their vending machine is full of energy drinks rather than having a few waters as options. Staff is rude. For being the only gym in the area, would not recommend. Better to go spend money at a gym that charges cheaper and is farther with better equipment and space than a gym that is overly priced, tiny, and horrible equipment. read more

We have been with Anytime for about 5 years. Overall, it is clean and good array of equipment. The change in ownership was evident as not as much attention is given to keeping things stocked for sanitizing over the weekends or holidays so, feels more like any other gym. It is like no one checks in more than once a day if that. I loved this gym and their staff. However all the people that I made a connection with have left. During the pandemic many things are occurring to many people. One of which has occured to my family. The loss of income is devastating and we lost much of our income. In trying to stay in good faith I offered to reach an agreement to pay some of the account and close it. I was never able to complete that transaction. I also had a medical issue for sometime and they lost my medical note I brought in and went on to blame me for that. read more

For a pretty busy facility, well taken care of. Nice size with lots of options. I use the showers frequently, and they are kept clean. Wish the hot water temp was a little higher. As far as gyms in Reno go, this is not the biggest or the flashiest but it is one of the best I've been to. The facilities and the machines are very new and the staff keep the place very clean. Because of the size it does get crowded at times (around 5:30 in the morning and around the same time at night) but the people who go there are friendly enough (most of the time) to let you share their space or swap with you for machines. Overall, this gym is great and I enjoy coming in and getting access to their top of the line equipment! Plus you can't beat being able to come in at any time you want to work out. read more

My girlfriend became chronically ill last year and could no longer work out. She can barely walk She made the gym aware of it and they said to send a doctors note and they would cancel it. We mailed the doctors note to them at the end of last year. Today we find out that they never cancelled her membership and sent her to collections for $1,300+. How is 6mo of unpaid membership $1,300? Why did they not reach out to her again stating they haven't received payment or a doctors note? They have now tanked her credit because of it. This is absolutely unacceptable and bad business. When reaching out to the club today, it took MULTIPLE calls and a voicemail then they never called and just emailed her stating that there was nothing they could do about it. We did what they requested and sent them the doctors note thinking it was done and taken care of and now we have to deal with this. I was going to be coming to this location as I just moved across the street from it but I will be taking my business somewhere else and will be sharing this with our friends and community advising them to cancel their memberships as well. If they'd like to correct this and make it right, I'd be happy to give them our business but in the meantime this is unacceptable and needs to be corrected. read more

Be carful with this place. I am being lied to repeatedly. They have messed up my credit and are saying there's nothing they can do about it. Oct 2023 I received a "text" from them stating I had a past due balance. Shortly after this I sent them my doctors note asking them to cancel my membership due to being severely chronically ill and hardly able to walk for to long at the time (I still am ill btw). Btw this is the only way you can get out of a contract with them, if you have a doctor's note or military orders. THEY NEVER CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP! NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT CANCEL IT, THEY SENT THE AMOUNT TO COLLECTIONS FOR 4XS WHAT MY FAKE BALANCE EVEN WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE! IT WAS LIKE 300 AND COLLECTIONS IS COMING AFTER ME FOR $1380!!!!!!!!!!!!! They claim they sent me all these emails, text messages, voicemails but I have no records of this except the one in October prior to sending my doctors note and I don't delete ANYTHING for this exact reason. They are LIARS! They keep trying to push me off to collections even though they are the ones who illegally ruined my credit in the first place. THEY ARE CRIMINALS! This is hard for me because I've never one to shit on independently owned franchises like this because I know it's tough, but in this case they have done absolutely nothing to make this right. I loved this gym and their staff. Unfortunately all the people that I made a connection with are now not employed there. I have also been appalled at their response during the pandemic. Attached is a post from their social media where they're encouraging people not to wear masks. I live with someone who is immunocompromised and when I reached out to figure out a way to cancel my membership they told me I had to pay it out even though they are pretty much telling people they don't have to wear masks. I absolutely do not feel comfortable walking in their doors. This is not how a business should respond during a pandemic. read more

Absolute horrible member service!! I have been trying to get ahold of the membership manager at the club for over two weeks. She was not there when the trainers said she would be and never returned any phone messages I left. Finally, today after calling all morning and no answer, I drove over to the club and she was there. I asked why no calls were returned and her response was "we are really busy". Be advised that the club is no longer locally owned as it previously had been so they really do not care about customer service. Some national investment company out of Texas now owns it. I asked for their phone number and she was unable to provide any point of contact for them. I asked when she was ever there and she said M-W-F from 10 to I think 3. Well I was there Wednesday at 1025 and there wasn't any employee there. When I pointed out she was not there during her "work" hours she said she had something to do and must have been late. Come on, this is your job! The member manager office looked as if a trash truck had exploded inside it. When she told me to follow her to her office there wasn't even a chair to sit in. Rather than put my membership on a freeze, I just decided to terminate my membership seeing they are now jumping the rates almost 50% and find another place to work out. Nobody should have to work this hard to speak to an employee there. AVOID at all costs. read more

I moved to Cold Springs about two years ago and immediately joined this fitness center as it was closest and most convenient to my home. I was impressed with the amount of equipment and how clean they kept everything. Not being a joiner or group workout person, I declined the intro classes and the included consultation with one of their coaches to design a personal fitness plan. I have spent 50 years working out on my own and am allergic to change. After about two years of problem free membership going a few times a month to supplement my cycling and walking regimen, I went to renew my membership and sign up my wife last year. We spoke with Elisabeth and my wife signed up for the included coach consultation and a few classes. Elisabeth strongly encouraged me to take a few classes just to see what they were like. I agreed and took several with Coach Cara. Cara is an excellent coach and I have now become addicted to the Burn sessions I have been attending 4 or 5 times a week for the past 6 months. The groups are usually small (except for Saturdays) and we do a ten minute warmup, thirty minute workout and ten minute stretch/cool down. The workouts change every week so I never get bored. This focus has really jumpstarted my personal fitness program. I travel frequently and have used my membership now in 6 states. My key fob (member's door unlocking device) worked at all of them and I can work out whenever I please, 24/7/365. I really can't thank Elisabeth and Cara enough for the work they do and the help they give me every week. read more

My husband is a member and is a marine veteran, he is going to be away until November, I have been trying since February to cancel his month-to-month membership. As a disabled woman that has guardianship of 2 small children, I have not had the opportunity to go down to the gym so I have called religiously left messages stating what our situation is and needing to cancel and requesting a call back, I heard nothing from anyone. I have been continually charged for his membership, I finally was able to get the so-called manager "Isaac" on the phone due to the help of another facilities employee, where I was treated horrible, Isaac informed me that I needed to prove that I had called down there and I also needed to prove where my husband was, he informed me that I would not be refunded for the charges, and also would need to put in a 30 day notice hence being charged another month. The next morning after this conversation with Isaac my bank was charged again. Mind you payment is not even due until the 23rd. I called my bank where my bank discovered I have been charged so far three times in April, and twice a month for the last few months. The bank has flagged it as fraud and are doing a full investigation for the entire 18 months my husband has been a member of this gym. Isaac refusing to take any more calls for me I went down there it was two small children and he was rude and arrogant and told me OK it was fine to go ahead and report to the police into my bank and fraud etc. still refusing to give me the owners information. My bank says it appears that they are just charging my account whenever they feel like it and the most current charge the bank feels was most definitely directly implemented due to my complaints. I suggested anybody that has belong to this gym past present or future be very aware of what you're being charged! read more

For such a tiny gym $45 a month is insane. And when I got my membership I was told after 6 months I could cancel because I live 20 miles from the gym. Well went to cancel and I have to pay a fee to cancel. Something I was NOT told when I originally expressed my concern about the distance. Can we say sneaky car salesman. Out of all of the gyms in Reno Anytime is the most expensive and considering we have no other options in the North Valleys seems they like taking advantage of that. Tiny and expensive. No Valley's Silver Lake location still has that "brand new" gym smell, and the staff keep it clean and organized. Tanner helped make the sign up process a clear and easy experience. No hidden fees or up-sell pressure. With Tanner and the training staff there, a novice looking to get healthy again or an expert keeping that summer body ready can get equal but customized support. For what this gym is, it doesn't really get any better. I joined the other North Valleys Anytime Fitness years ago because it was the only one in the area that was open 24 hours. I worked a night shift and loved to lift. Since it was a nationwide chain, there was the bonus of one membership to use every Anytime Fitness. I've used their gyms from Fairbanks, Alaska to St Simons Island, Georgia. When I'm driving cross-country, sometimes it's nice to pull into a town and have a safe place to shower and not spend any additional money, plus wake up with a workout. The gym off of Red Rock is by far the cleanest and well run I have been to yet. Worst so far was North Little Rock, Arkansas. My wife and 16 year old daughter also go to the same gym now. My daughter is high functioning autistic and I wanted her to get active in a safe place. I signed her up with Justine and she LOVED it. The staff and the other people at the gym are very accepting and protective. The rules at the gym are simple and make everyone feel welcome. I'm a power lifter and people feel comfortable enough to ask me questions, yet polite enough not to interrupt in the middle of a set. The free weight area is very well equipped, has dumbbells up to 125 lbs, and an excellent leg press sled. There's a decent amount of machines, treadmills, elipticals, TRX, aerobics area and a virtual training room that can display programs for you to follow. This gym is about 7 minutes from the center of Cold Springs. You can buy supplements from the gym through the little kiosk or fridge. There are cubby holes for personal belongings and lockers if you need to lock things up. There's even one of those water jet massage beg things (haven't used it). The other North Valleys gym has the tanning bed (haven't used it either). Though I do NOT suggest this gym if you are into cross-fit. The free weights at almost all Anytime Fitness gyms are not designed to be dropped and there isn't enough room. But, the management is fairly understanding when you've hit your limit and set the weights down kind of hard. If you are in the west Little Rock area, there's an Anytime Fitness with a cross-fit area all the way in the back. It's a decent sized warehouse with giant tires, plastic plates for the barbells, and the floor is rubberized. Also, they don't tolerate yelling. So those of you that feel the need to psych yourself up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT!!!", this is not your gym. This gym is not a meat market, so keep your dating online. If you are going to use multiple racks, benches, machines, and areas of the gym because you are coming up with your own large circuit thing, I strongly suggest going after 9pm or before 6am. I have watched one woman try it at both North Valleys locations where she tries to leave her belongings on up to five different locations to "reserve" equipment and record herself on her tablet during daytime hours. My family refers to her as the squirrel like she is trying to build a nest and fill an oak tree. All in all, I look forward to my two younger daughters turning 16 so they can go to the gym too. I wish they had an Olympic pool, but it's a nationwide chain and understand the liability and logistical problems. read more

New and clean, although quite a bit smaller than the North Valley gym, it gets the job done. Usually gets pretty crowded around 7:30-8pm but usually around 8:30-9 it tapers off. Modern and well air conditioned and ventilated. Plenty of weight machines, although there are only about 5 or 6 treadmills that are usually occupied, my only complaint is not alot of cardio here, but there isn't much room. read more

I have been to multiple Anytime Fitness locations, and this one is one of my favorites. The gym feels clean and there's plenty of cubbies and lockers to store your things. The equipment is usually in good working order and if something is broken, it's always been repaired the next time I've returned. The only drawback is that many times benches and equipment are left all sweaty by the previous user. This isn't the gyms fault though, they offer ample stations with wipes throughout the gym - so it's easy enough to grab your own wipe and clean things off before you use it. Overall, staff has been really friendly and welcoming and I enjoy coming here for a great workout! read more

Great gym! New gym in this area. Staff is super nice and helpful if you have questions. I love the virtual workout room. It allows you to do many different kinds of workouts led by an instructor. Yes, it's basically like doing workout dvds but you can do a very wide variety of things because the gym has a wide variety of equipment. I love to spin and the spin workout is great. The one thing that I don't like is that the spin bikes do not have anything on them to tell you your rpms or distance. I love to spin sometimes to my own music and knowing things like that would be really helpful. read more

What a great gym! I must admit that my impression of a Anytime Fitness gym was not what I experienced today. It's a 24/7 facility that is the most clean and up to date that I've seen. Other big box gyms would kill to have a place this nice. We met Tanner and the owner Mark who were very professional and thorough with our tour of their gym. It was obvious they were proud of their place and took extra pride in keeping it clean and up to date. We look forward to working out with you guys! read more
