I should have written this review a while ago. Although my marriage is in the crapper my experience with Sherry and Anytime Wedding Chapel was stellar. She made it easy for me:,first time getting married and what to do? Done she gave me all info I needed to reduce my stress level to a palpable range. She Did Not pass judgement on my situation (no wasn't pregnant) and I appreciated that she was very open , honest and upfront about what she could do and what the policies are on which she runs her cute Lil business. She does have a chapel all decorated quite nicely I chose to get married in a quaint cozy area a bit east of eastlake at my husbands friend George b's place. She came out very professional and like I said service beautiful and rates totally reasonable... Totally The service went off without a hitch and I've been married for 10 underwhelming years. However, I was so impressed that I recommded a friend and her soon to be and guess who was the maid of honor? U guessed it. I stopped in the chapel when I was in the area and talked with sherry for a bit. I see that she now is doing memorial services which is kizmit because my family will be in need of her services any day now. Nowbit feels like family. Thanks sherry and AWC... Anytime weddings was fantastic. I wanted a small, intimate wedding on the beach and it is exactly what they gave me. They never tried to update or confuse me with what I wanted. The team was understanding and catered to exactly what we wanted. We needed to add a photographer at the last minute, which Anytime was able to accommodate. Marin, our photographer, really used his time well to capture the day and gave me exactly what I wanted in pictured. My husband and I had anytime wedding chapel services (creating memories package) for our coranado beach wedding and I couldn't be more pleased. Sherry was a sweetheart and our photographer was amazing taking many shots with friends and family, and even staying just alittle longer just to get the perfect shot. The ceremony was beautiful and I enjoyed the sand ceremony. My wedding was kind of last minute due to my husbands deployment but they still managed to work with us for dates and times. We just got married this July 2017 and had a wonderful ceremony at Anytime Wedding Chapel! This is a great alternative to anyone wanting a more personal and traditional ceremony than you would get at a courthouse. Lynn was great, I appreciate the time she took to get to know us as a couple in order to make our ceremony feel exclusive to us. The price is reasonable and they have a lot of options available to fit your guest size and additional touches. The ceremony itself was beautiful, Lynn had some wonderful words of guidance for our lives together. I was informed by the Lynn, the office manager, that "I'm sorry, but due to our religious beliefs we are unable to perform same sex marriages. May I suggest Thumbtack.com as a source for you?" I still do not recommend this chapel. The chapel is not handicap accessible which they don't mention when booking with them. Sherry had my family (elderly, and babies) standing in the cold on one of the coldest nights in San Diego. She started my wedding late then rushed us out of the chapel because she had another wedding to do at a different location. Most of all SHE NEVER TURNED IN OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE TO THE COURT HOUSE. Therefore my husband and I were literally homeless for a couple months waiting for our BAH to come in. IF YOU ARE A MILITARY COUPLE AND YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE IS TIME SENSITIVE DON'T COME TO THIS CHAPEL. The least she could of done is gave us our money back for all the inconvenience. read more

I'm currently in Fiji on my honeymoon, but I wanted to take a few moments to say thank you so much for the excellent and beautiful service provided by Anytime Wedding Chapel. We got married on the beach in Coronado, and they coordinated both our absolutely fabulous photographer Martin Kosmicki and a wonderful videographer. We were able to personalize the colors of the sand ceremony and decorations as well as the wedding ceremony itself. The flowers they provided us with were absolutely gorgeous! They worked with us on timing, and then the photographer and videographer followed us over to the reception. We decided 4 weeks before the big day that we were going to get married in San Diego. I stumbled across anytime wedding chapel through google search. We could not have been happier with the service. The communication levels where excellent, I got mixed up with the payment (card fees/U.K.-US fees) but when I re read the email I realised it was my fault. They where super clear and transparent. The wedding day instructions of where to meet the minister and photographer where perfect. White bench, near the jetty on Coronado beach. As we arrived, they did, it was perfect. The photographer went out of his way to make the photos perfect. The minister had an amazing voice and made us feel relaxed and excited. We never actually met the people we corresponded with, but I feel like I did with the levels of communication. It was all done via email- no phone calls- no visits to them. Just nice and simple! I can't rave enough about how INCREDIBLE Sherry, Lynn, and their team was for our Coronado beach wedding. We initially hired them with the intentions of having a small elopement ceremony with just family, but as things progressed, we somehow ended up with a 60 person guest list! They were able to accommodate all of our changes without making me feel like a burden in any way. The setup on the beach was truly breath taking... it turned out prettier than weddings AT the Del! The flower arrangements they coordinated were BEYOND beautiful and insanely huge. The photographer and videographer they recommended were true professionals, and we got our photos back in record time! Literally every element of this wedding was perfect. I've been joking with my husband that I need to get married again just so I can do this all over again! (To him, of course lol) My favorite thing about them is their communication. Other wedding planners we spoke to limit you to max 3 sit down sessions to discuss design and make any changes. With how unsure I was about the size of a wedding I wanted, it was imperative to have a planner that would be open to a lot of communication, and flexible with multiple changes. I literally had to create this yelp account to let you all know how horrible my experience was with this place and the staff. First of all I go to look at the place and she was 15 minutes late. My best friend was with me and she has a one year old baby and I had my two children with me as well. She was freaking out about the baby touching the fake rose petals that were on the ground. I asked her about cleaning the ceiling fans and the decor because they were both disgusting. She said she has people come in there monthly to clean which clearly was a lie. Please trust me... this is only the beginning. She grilled me about my minister asking me about his credentials . She basically acted like she didn't believe that my minister was certified. Then comes the night of the wedding... we had the building until 6pm. I was late getting there because I had family from out of town that was lost. I was late about 20 minutes.... anyway as I'm downstairs waiting for my grandmother to come she looks over the balcony and says "you need to hurry up because I have things to do" and yeah I said a few choice words to her. Then she approaches my father and asks him... is she always late. Then she she approaches my minister and told him that he needed to get these people out of here! Mind you we had this place until 6pm and the service only took about 15 minutes. She was sooooo rude (from the beginning ) and honestly I understand the term... U get what u pay for. The place the service and her attitude was worth about $100. One more thing... she continued to ask me about my religion and when I didn't give her the information she began talking about her church and her experiences in life without God and then gave me the information to her church! If I could do it all over again I would have gotten married at the court house rather having to deal with her. And I don't know what other staff this lady has because I only saw and spoke to her. She's a older white lady. She's mean and rude and if you can avoid this place.... do so! This place doesn't deserve 1 star! read more

It's been almost a month since we got the letter in the mail stating that the marriage certificate was not filed correctly. Sherry had told me she would be re-filing it the next day, but I still don't have my marriage certificate. Because of this, I STILL haven't been able to file my husband's taxes, get myself enrolled in health insurance, or change my name. We're still not receiving our housing allowance from the military and he's about to be back from his training. This was all supposed to be handled before he got back. VERY frustrated. read more

I just wanted to say a big Thank you to Lynn & Sherry for their time and wonderful communication. We met with Sherry for a consultation this past weekend for our upcoming wedding in September. She went over using the Chapel or having a beach wedding which is what we really wanted. She gave us many locations to go check out based on what we wanted. She took the time to ask us about us and gave us background on her and her family. Within the next few days I had several communications through emails with Lynn. If I had a question it was usually answered within hours, even on the weekend. That shows to me they have great customer service, but it was also the way they showed they cared. In the end we have decided that we wanted to do more for our honeymoon and so we are choosing to have our ceremony done at the courthouse. When I wrote back to explain this to Lynn, I got only the warmest wishes and a thanks for thinking of their company. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone in the future. If could give this place zero stars I would. The lady was somewhat rude over the phone so when I sent my (now) husband to pay to hold our appointment time I told him, "If she is rude at all don't give her any money and we will go elsewhere." Of course though he said she was super sweet. The day finally came and as soon as we walk in she tells my guest "We are not a movie theatre why do you think you can bring drinks in here?" Excuse me! I was livid, but of course there is no refunds. To top it off her make up was all over the place during the ceremony and she stood way to close to us leaving our pictures not looking the best. That's not even the best part! During our first kiss as husband and wife she rudely interrupts and asks how to pronounce his last name!! Something that she should have asked beforehand, not in the middle of the only first kiss I will get with my husband. Needless to say, I don't recommend this place to anyone. I think the courthouse would have been 100 times better than dealing with these people. read more
