I don't know who in their right mind would consider the plate I got on DoorDash "hibachi". Out of every single Japanese dish hibachi is probably the most simplest of dishes to complete and Aoki Sushi has failed this so inexplicably that I am honestly revolted. Fried rice and chicken is not hard at all. And I got chicken that looks like it was cooked in a MICROWAVE and an ORANGE...I'm sorry is this hospital cafe food???? This is by far the worst attempt at Asian cuisine I've ever seen in my life. No one should be served sushi rice, an orange, and practically boiled chicken when ordering Hibachi Edit: while I was eating, the chicken was 100% gristle, so not only did the kitchen staff insult Asian cooking as a whole, but they also use the cheapest, most disgusting cut of meat you could possibly use on the chicken. The tempura shrimp appetizer was the hit of our lunch visit. Very tasty and would order it again and again. Fried chicken wings were good and crunchy. My daughter ordered the ramen and loved the flavor. I order the grilled shrimp udon. The noodles were perfect. The shrimp was just ok. I think they were over cooked a bit and the broth was a little bland. We are definitely going back to try the sushi which is what we originally went in for. Disappointed that they don't have a grill to cook Korean bbq yourself, but they do offer to cook it for you in the back. I would have preferred to cook it myself. 3.5 to 4, more of a "to go" place with some seating inside. We came for the sushi and it was fine overall but not in the elite. The crunch munch is loaded with flakey goodness and the spicy tuna was fresh. The Greenville sundae left something to be desired which may have been due to the bland spicy crab salad. This being the only place in Greenville having unlimited Korean bbq, it's actually not that bad. They start you off with miso soup and a ginger salad. Then comes the meat... The quality of the meat they give you here is actually pretty amazing. The brisket and pork belly are tender and the marinated meats has the right amount of sweetness and saltiness you'd expect. What's keeping this place from getting a perfect review from me is the lack of side dishes. They literally only have Kim chi and daikon. There's no cheese corn, egg, tofu, bean sprouts, Korean salad, other mini dishes...none of that. I can't complain though because it's nice for Greenville to have a place like this. But compare it to any kbbq place in atl or Charlotte and it's definitely lacking important dishes you'd expect to prevent you from getting so tired of eating all that meat. read more

This is the new K-Town location. They are no longer serving Korean BBQ, but they still have all the sushi items and more. Right now they are having a special for 50% off sushi for their grand opening. The building is much smaller and homey feeling than the older location. I do wish they still had KBBQ as there aren't really any in Greenville. read more

I have ordered take out from here multiple times since the closing due to COVID via Postmates. The dragon roll is always delicious no matter what you put on top. Crazy California is good and a good deal. Spider roll is very good. Volcano, I would not get again. The description said it had crab salad in the roll, but it was just a krab stick. So it was just a California roll with shrimp tempura placed on top. My husband was not impressed with his I love tuna roll... I thought it looked like exactly what it said it was, but he was expecting something better for the price. Their teriyaki sauce is delicious and I am grateful that they always follow my "special instructions" to leave the sauce off the rolls and include it on the side instead. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I would definitely not recommend. The service was disgustingly horrible. I've ordered here before and didn't have a problem. Usually pick up. I tried calling to put in my order for pick up and it went straight to voicemail (which they don't even have set up). Since they were not answering after maybe 6x I called, I ordered online. It said it would be ready in 45-50 mins. I gave it about an hour and 15 and my husband went to go pick it up. When he arrived, they didn't have the order. They said it was "gone". How can it be gone that makes no sense there were no customers there. They said we couldn't order again, this is after I was charged. They refused to make me the order after waiting and denied my refund request. All the while being extremely disrespectful to my husband and to me over the phone. I was able to speak to them because my husband called me while being there. I heard the rudeness and lack of customer service skills through the phone. Very disheartening, to run a business like that. Very mean and lack of basic hospitality skills. We will not be going there ever again. read more

This use to be the old k-town! They have AYCE Korean bbq for $25. The meat is well marinated and very tender. The only thing I didn't like too much is the beef brisket because it gets very dried. The AYCE meat was surprisingly really delicious. The meat was impeccable and well marinated, especially the galbi. My only complain was the lack (or better yet none) side dishes provided. It only comes with miso soup and side salad and rice. Unlike most korean/sushi places, you have to pay up at the register instead of ordering from the table. Use to be the K-town but they moved and opened this place up. A lot smaller then when it was k-town ,but still the same great AYCE KBBQ. I'm from Hawaii where there are a lot of these joints all around town and this is as good if not better then what we had in Hawaii. Like everyone else is saying they have great quality meats and they're all very tasty. Went there to pick up sushi, we had a fairly large order and decided to wait in the car and they gave our order to another customer and when that customer realized it wasn't theirs they brought it back in. The lady behind the counter then placed the order into a new bag and tried to hand it to us without saying anything. All the Japanese and Asian fusion restaurants in Charlotte does not compare to Aoki. At Aoki everything is convinent, clean, and affordable. It's a shame it wasn't as busy when we were there.
