This review is for the frozen dinners. We love them! I turned my job on to the frozen dinners and currently our employee lunch room freezer has 30 Or 35 dinners in it! The meat Lasagna is delicious and so are the baked clams! If you like shrimp parm or chicken parm or even eggplant parm all of them come With a generous portion and pasta. The people that work here are super nice and personable. We have a few guys at work that now order the pizza too. I'm just a big believer in those frozen dinners. Getting my convertible top repaired up the block and I just happened upon this place. As I peered inside 90s pizzeria nostalgia hit me in the face like a brick. I yelped it to see what the deal was. Seems to be a love it or hate it place from reviews. So I walk in and instantly step back into time. The days of my childhood buying a slice for $1.25 were revived. The seats, the vibe were exactly what I remembered. I almost didnt want to eat here because "what if the pizza was no good??" I'd be crushed lol. I ordered a regular. A pepperoni and a buffalo chicken. The kid behind the counter asks if I wanted it heated because it was fresh and worm already. How could I argue with that. I took them as they were. I was pleasantly surprised with Joey's Pizza & Deli. I have passed the signs on Sunrise Highway advertising low pizza pie prices but, never went in to check it out. I walked over when I was getting a new tire for my car for a quick bite. When I walked in I was a little leery like oh my god, I don't think I want to eat here. There are two tables to sit at and freezers full of what I assumed was storage. I walked up to the counter and ordered two slices and the first thing that popped in my head was how long has that pizza been sitting there? I grabbed a Snapple and waited for my slices. The pizza came out of the oven and I put the drink on the counter to pay. The man who served me said four dollars and I nearly exclaimed out loud, "THAT'S IT?! Alright, I'm hungry and hoping the pizza passes the test. Well, that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover" is basically Joe's Pizza. The pizza was delicious and the price is unbeatable. Too bad this place was in a little bit closer to the high school otherwise the line would be out the door! I was really impressed although the places that much to look at the pizza sold me. As I read these reviews I learned that the coolers are it just storage for their ingredients, they in fact are frozen homemade Italian pastas and meals to take home. What a great idea! I haven't seen a place that actually does that. Sometimes after a long day you just don't feel like cooking or going out to eat for that matter. My dad and brother used to work here and I used to love the pizza a few years ago. Recently my brother picked some up for my dad's birthday party. Ordered a deep dish pizza and an eggplant parm hero. The deep dish was good, but not exactly a Chicago style pizza. The eggplant hero was very good.......it comes on a foccacia style bread that definitely adds a little sumptin' sumptin' to the overall flavor. I'd rate the place 4 stars if the general appearance was a little more updated. The older gentleman behind the counter was a bit of a boob when I came in to pick up, and when I placed my order over the phone. We've ordered twice from here, and I've been happy both times. The appetizer bites were unimpressive and need not be ordered again, but as far as pizza is concerned it's definitely our new go-to delivery (previously Regina's and Don Giovanni). The grandma pies are more like a grandma/Sicilian hybrid, but the four square slices per pie have the perfect fresh-bread quality to their crust, and all other ingredients held up (would have preferred/ paid more for the option of fresh mozzarella, but was happy to get what we got for the price we paid). The sandwiches are huge, and easily make for two meals (or one meal shared). I didn't care for the chicken parm sandwich, but the meatball sandwich (again, great bread) was worth revisiting. read more

This place is great for food. Looking for inexpensive and value you go to Joey's of Lynbrook. The quality of the pizza is excellent. Their white pizza is AMAZING!! The garlic knots are excellent never over cooked like some places and they are freshly made everyday. The Eggplant Parmesan heroes are my favorite. Freshly made eggplant and then smothered in a yummy tomato sauce with cheese. They make all of their heroes on their signature homemade bread. You can get two different sizes 6 inch or 12 inch. If you are looking for pizza that is inexpensive and different than the rest you come here. If you are looking for over priced same ol,same ol you go elsewhere. After seeing ads in the local Pennysaver for the past few years, I finally decided to give a try to their frozen dinners. A great decision. Without any prior knowledge as to the quality, I decided to go balls deep, buying ten dinners for $40. They have a good variety of meals, all ready to eat in less than ten minutes in the microwave. Not only are the prices fantastic, but the dinners are delicious. It's also a great convenience, as the dinners are decent sized portions. So far, we've had the penne with sausage, as well the chicken parm, and both were great. If you're by yourself or only have one or two people to feed, there's absolutely no reason to cook. this review is for the frozen dinners and not the pizza. i came here with 2 others to get dinner since it was within walking distance of where we were staying. in the lobby of the hotel there is a flyer (see the pic i uploaded) with a list of the dinners they have. i had the penne with meatballs which isnt on the list but oh boy was i happy! for $7 i had that and an order of garlic knots. if you'd like.. they can heat up the garlic knots for u since its in a foil tray and you cant microwave it. the sauce they use is slightly sweet and the meatballs were deeeelicious with the penne. i ended up dipping my garlic knots in the leftover marinara sauce and i was in heaven. for $5 you get a good amount of food but since i don't eat a ton i would say its a healthy portion for a guy. i love that its super easy to heat up... just 8-10 mins (as it says on the top of the container) and ur set! they do take credit cards if ur wondering but since i had cash it was just easier for me to pay for it with cash. they have pizzas for $7 or a slice for less than 2 bucks. the pizza looked good but i was starving so i opted for the frozen dinner. i rarely ever make it out to this area so if i am ever back i think this will be the place to go. read more

Is it the best pizza in the area? Of course not. Is it half the price of the best pizza in the area? Yes. For a mere dollar or two more than that offensive Dominos hogshite, you can get what at least *is* a real pizza. In any case, they seem to be doing pretty well. Whenever I swing by to a pick up a pie, there always seems to be plenty of people in the "dingy" dining area and a steady parade of people picking up orders. On several occasions we have had family parties and functions catered by Joey's. His Classic Italian American dishes are always delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. His catering provides five wonderful dishes, rolls, racks, sternos, and paper goods. We also enjoy his pizza - all varieties. My advice is just let Joey take care of you!! read more

Rude and obnoxious on the telephone. Used them all the time. All of a sudden guy on the phone is an idiot. Takes the wrong address down once driver was lost for 45 minutes. We call to find him.... "this is Long Island get used it" Really,that's your answer? Second time I call for delivery he say's "no delivery tonight sweetheart" no reason no apology just obnoxious. the pizza is amazing here. i had the longest convo with Joey, who is the owner and he broke everything down for me. he uses the top mozzarella and sauce as well as the flour. i really dont understand why anyone would dislike it. he has the best prices on pies, $7.50 and i've had pizza that costs $14 a pie and just doesn't compare. and for the comment Doreen made, you need to go back and try a fresh slice, Im sure you'll think twice. read more
