    Just heat and serve meals

Listen, $11.50/$12 large cheese pie is hard to come by without it tasting like it's machine made. AP Pizza delivers both affordability and flavor. Typically, they close at 5 PM on Sundays but when we walked in, they were srill taking orders telling me that he new owners cared more about their customers than closing up shop early. The pizza dough was light and crunchy. I especially loved all the cheese they used (nonsparingly) and the sauce was just the right amount of sweet and tangy. Dining area only has 3 areas with a large leather couch by the window so patrons can sit comfortably while waiting for their food. They also offered frozen slices for just a $1 and heat and serve premade meals. I live about 30 minutes away but I'd definitely drive down to pick up a few pies. Absolutely awesome!

We arrived on a Thursday noon. The place is very small but cozy. The couch looks cute. Kids order cheese slice and a meatball parm which was on sale. I ordered the ceasar salad. They were SO TASTY!!!!!!! Our fav was the meatball parm!!!! The kids loved it so much!!! My salad was perfect. The service was quick and friendly. El servicio y la comida fueron fenomenales. Definitivamente recomendaría este lugar.

Wow! Wish I lived closer! Such a cute place! It's small but super cozy and makes you feel welcome, like you are going to grammas kitchen! The food is very affordable and DELICIOUS! They have frozen meals, what a great idea! Loved coming here, I can't wait to get home and devour the cheesecake!

I'm late on my review :( but I went to AP pizza & cafe for the yelp pizza event! Upon entering everything looked very clean and well put together they even have a couch, which brings such a cool vibe into the restaurant. I got there right at opening and they were setting up for the day but I was immediately helped and greeted with a smile! I put in my order and also collected some menus to take home. And within 20 minutes, my pizza and chicken roll. We're ready to go. I was so excited to get my food. I totally forgot to check out the desserts which I've heard amazing things about and have to go back ! I have to say the pizza and the chicken roll were delicious. Even my family said we should really go back because the food was so good! If you haven't tried AP Pizza & Cafe please gooo!

This is such a surprise. Hidden gem for sure. $10 for a large a pie in NY speaks for itself. Frozen dinners to go so I don't have to cook? SPEAK NO MORE. The crust was thin, chewy inside & crunchy on the bottom. More like a true NYC slice instead of the typical LI pizza with more dough. As for my topping, pepperoni, they are generous! I'm so used to seeing pizzerias skimping out on how much toppings they give but not here. They were definitely generous enough that I had pepperoni in every bite.

I don't know what it is about their pizza but it reminds me of Pizza how it used to taste and I mean this in a great way it's just a simple no-frills place making good solid homemade tasting food. You can get a $10 pizza on Tuesday and their prices are straight out of the 90s But the food quality does not disappoint. Definitely a place worth checking out. Interior is simple inside with several booths to sit, and service is friendly and quick. Also note they make some killer cakes for like $5 a slice!

Pizza special. Can use some more cheese.

Joey's is in a section of Lynbrook with somewhat tough parking. It's facade shows it's longevity. There is an eating area that for sure needs a face-lift. Despite its age and wear, it still looks clean and sanitary. Menus are cluttered. There is a freezer with Togo foods. As I've only been once despite living in Lynbrook for almost 20 years, I've only tried the pizza. When ordering, a woman seemed to be a little short tempered as she had to break away from what seemed to be a catering order. It appeared she was wearing her pajamas. The gentleman who took my money was far more pleasant. This pie is somewhere better than domino's or dollar pizza, but below other pizzarias that would charge double. It's certainly wasn't bad, but also misses the mark for anything better than ok/fair. The sauce lacks flavor. The cheese could have been heavier. The dough was OK. It seems they use cornmeal underneath the pizza for some reason, which leaves a texture I'm personally not fond of. For $10, this isn't bad as you could feed 2 people with a pie. However, I wouldn't go out of my way for the pizza. I would return and try one of his meals which are also reasonably price.

Hole in the wall gem for NY Pizza. If you're looking for an inexpensive neighborhood NY Pizza place look no further. $12.00 for a large cheese. Say no more.

A recommended catering place by a friend so we tried for tonight's fundraising event. We ( our church community) have used them for the first time catering our fundraising event. They did not disappoint us. They give considerable catering pricing. They just need a week or less of informing them of your preliminary order and could give changes two days prior. As per discussed with the rest of my group, we ordered few kinds but multiple orders in quantity. It will make it easier for both parties. We got 10 standard trays of the following: baked ziti, sausage and peppers, chicken parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana. I enjoyed most the egg parm, tasteful, meaty ( I mean eggplanty) and portion is served generously. I did not like much the sausage and peppers, too soupy. The packaging style is conveniently perfect for transporting, they placed the pan inside a pizza box keeping the food warm , additional star for that. You could choose delivery for a charge or pick your own. I want to come back if given a chance and try their pizza which I heard has very good steal deal. Highly Recommended for any catering service needs.

Not my first time here but there was just so much going on around me that it was difficult to focus on the food portion of the visit. Street parking was fairly easy here and just a short walk back to the restaurant. In the middle of this vibrant restaurant with people speaking, laughing and really enjoying themselves, I get to give a speech. The funny part here was that when I got up to speak, someone having dinner gets up and says: "I know you." Appetizers came out family style. Calamari, salad, and pasta. All very good and very fresh. The serving staff did a great job supporting this large crowd. I also appreciate that what needed to be hot, was hot and what needed to be cool was just that. My main meal consisted of Chicken Francaise which was excellent. Thin tatsy-fresh pieces of chicken with a very tasty francaise sauce. PLenty of food here... No one goes home hungry. Happy to come here, very happy to eat hear and enjoy myself in a very fun family restaurant. The team did an amazing job here and needs to be recognized for all their hard work. Every time I'm there, I go in with the thought "THIS time I'm going to control myself". And then I do it again...., It's the only place remaining that I can't control my eating! The food is delicious, no matter what I order: meat, fish, appetizers. I could swear the air tastes better... Full menu, it's all great. Prices? Ya know, I used to say: a little expensive. But it seems that their prices have stayed the same while others have gone up, so I no longer regard Livornos as "an expensive restaurant". The last bill (yesterday) undercut my estimate by about 25%! Anyway, getting more than my money's worth at any price. You get free stuff too. They give you that pizza bread along with the regular bread. Some group vegetables at main course time. And in addition to any desserts you order, a LARGE tray of delicious fruit, no additional charge. I wish I knew where they get that fruit from because I can't find fruit in my shopping that matches it in taste. Oh yeah, also free Italian cookies. The service? As polite and efficient as I've ever seen. The owners (I think they're the owners) come around at intervals to make sure everything is okay. I've never had anything to complain about. My fingers are getting tired so I'll stop here. You've been warned.

The restaurant is warm, comfortable and a little more upscale without feeling stuffy. White tablecloths, great service and very reasonable prices. The service deserves a mention on its own because everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. I started with an Espresso Martini, which was honestly one of the best I've had, followed by a Lychee Martini that was also excellent. For food, the Calamari con Gamberi was a standout for me. I actually prefer calamari braised like this instead of breaded, and theirs was tender and full of flavor with shrimp, cherry peppers, white beans and tomato sauce. The Chef's Table Salad with shrimp was super fresh and light. The goat cheese, pear, prosciutto, pistachios and lemon thyme dressing all worked really well together without the dressing overpowering anything. The Lobster & Crab Ravioli was excellent and that saffron cream sauce was the star. I can absolutely see why this is one of their best sellers. I also tried the Pollo alla Franca with Bell & Evans organic chicken, prosciutto, spinach, artichokes, mozzarella and Port wine mushroom sauce. Rich, flavorful and very well executed. Even though I'm normally not a big dessert person, they make all of their desserts in-house, so I had to try a few. The flourless chocolate cake, warm apple tart and Belgian chocolate mousse were all excellent, especially that mousse -- very rich with a strong Belgian chocolate flavor. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last. Great Italian food, excellent cocktails, fantastic service and a true neighborhood hidden gem. Highly recommend.

What a great Server... and without a doubt he is a great drink Maker. For dinner we had the beef aroncino (rice ball) special, the Mediterranean salad and the grilled Octopus as starters. The ribeye steak was amazing and the grilled pork chop special, served with garlic mash potatoes and grill asparigus was just as good. Unfortunately, Selita's failed with the first impression. We walked past a very small bar and into the dining room, which had a musty smell. The green walls, red leather tufted seats, and mirrors on the walls gave the place a very dated, old-fashioned feel. Since it was our first time there, we decided to play it safe and just order a couple of appetizers. We had the grilled octopus and the eggplant Parmigiana. The eggplant Parmigiana was tasty, but we would not consider it an authentic Italian dish. The grilled octopus, on the other hand, was a completely different story. It was incredibly tough and chewy - honestly, it was like eating a garden hose. It really seemed as though it had been cooked ahead of time and then reheated. When we left, my wife looked at me and said, "We're never coming back here again." Unfortunately, I had to agree. That's really a shame because we genuinely wanted to like Selita's. It's close to home, and we were hoping to find a new local favorite. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I suppose that's the chance you take when trying a new restaurant.
