AP Pizza - Bethesda's Hidden Pizza Gem! You ever run an errand and randomly find a spot that lowkey surprises you? That was me and Jasmine when we were waiting on a print order for an open house flyer and decided to check out AP Pizza. It's a small shop connected to another Italian restaurant, and you can either dine in or order off the iPad. Super easy setup. I got a slice of Funghi and Salsiccia, and wow--this place might give Andy's a run for its money. The crust was thin and crispy, and the flavors were not your usual toppings. The Funghi had this deep, earthy mushroom flavor that just worked, and the Salsiccia (sausage) was seasoned perfectly. As we were leaving, I noticed they had a pickup window--just like Andy's in Navy Yard. I love when Bethesda spots have that city feel! The staff was friendly, and the whole vibe was solid. If you're into thin, crunchy slices with next-level toppings, AP Pizza is definitely worth a stop.

Looking for a new pizza place in the wilds of Bethesda? You gotta try AP Pizza Shop for some unique slices. One of the few places that serves up slices to go (you can assemble an entire pie with slices from different pies if you'd like!), this is a great place to stop in for a quick bite or to grab entire pies for a group. One night we ordered a Standard Pie (Bianco di Napoli tomatoes, mozzarella, Sicilian oregano, Grana Padano cheese) and The Fletch (parmesan fonduta, mozzarella, fontina, broccoli, crispy bacon crumbs, lemon, black pepper). The Standard was as expected - a great slice of regular cheese pizza. The Fletch was something I'd dislike, but the combination works and the broccoli wasn't raw or hard, it fit right in with the pizza. So two thumbs up for AP Pizza Shop - it's good to have a place like this in Bethesda.

After the movies, we wanted something to eat and decided to try this place. The host was awesome and I wish I could remember his name to shout him out. Ordering is easy as you do it through a touchscreen and then you sit wherever you want. The deco was well done and I loved the floral wallpaper in the hallway. The food was pretty good and was just enough for my husband and I to share.

High quality hand tossed / NY style pizzas with wheat crust and good variety of toppings. More expensive than Andy's on a per sq ft basis but the pizzas taste thicker and more filling. If you like this type of pizza, it's probably your best option without having to cross over Wisconsin Avenue. Pickup service seems to be timely also.

Tasty Pizza-Downtown Bethesda! I just tried AP Pizza first time today. New pizza shop located in Downtown Bethesda on busy Bethesda Ave. The shop has a brilliant neon sign outside its entrance. Primarily a Carryout has a small dining area w/booth & bar height table seating. Menu includes "Deck Oven Slices" I gather this refers to the pizza oven. Several varieties of pizza to choose-sold by the slice. I ordered the "Salsiccia" (tomato, mozzarella, provolone cheeses, italian sausage, roasted peppers & garlic bread crumbs.) Delicious! And Creamsicle Panna Cotta. Fresh flavorful ingredients & creamy light dessert. Friendly welcoming guy greets everyone @the door. Great service. See Photos.

Another one of our favorite nights of the week it's pizza night. The boys and I decided to try AP pizza shop's Buona Pie. The pie is pretty good. It has a few different flavors that is comes to well. There is a taste of honey that gives it a bit of a sweet flavor to the traditional pepperoni style pizza which we enjoy. A bit of a downside is the size of the pizza were just above a personal pa pizza but smaller than a traditional size pie, so it is unable to feed three people. To counteract that there is a special going on Uber that if you get one pie, you get a second one free. Final thought is we will order again probably at the restaurant that way we can catch it when it's hot out of the oven.

If we can give 4.5 stars we would! This is the closest that I've come to New York style Pizza in the DMV in a long time. As a native New Yorker, I crave foldable pizza and this met the mark. It is a bit pricey when you order it via delivery, but we will definitely be ordering again via pick up and can't wait to try other items on the menu. This time around we opted just for the plain cheese pizza and it was so satisfying!

Disappointingly ordinary pizza. Crust was good but sauce, cheese, and toppings were really bland. Toppings were skimpy to boot.

This isn't an ordinary pizza spot! Their pizzas are centered around Asian cuisines (think Indian, Thai, etc. and spices!) and they have a lot of other non-pizza options too. The pizza I ordered was absolutely delicious. I would love to come back and try more things. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new each time.

We tried their Tandoori Chicken, Palak Paneer, and Hawaiian Pizza with a side of Masala Fries. Hubs is a classic pizza kinda guy and even he enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Pizzas weren't overly "wet" with topping and sauce and the "toppings" were perfectly made? (Is that even a description for the heavenly sauce that they make?) It was well-sauced and seasoned! I watched the gentleman running the front hold doors open, politely greet, and thank Every customer, even DoorDash and Uber drivers. That alone should be why you visit! When I left, I just asked for a couple napkins since I didn't see any and he sent me off with a generous handful of napkins And plates! Thank you M&N! We will definitely be back!!

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.
