I have done carry-out from here many times over the years but mostly pizza. The pizzas are excellent, especially the white pizzas. There are only couple little tables inside and couple of tables outside during the warmer month. The staff is very friendly. For this visit, I got the Doner pita sandwich and Greek salad with Doner. I usually eat at Aden Pizza, but it is in a to-go box. I like the painting on the wall of Aden Pizza. It is in the interior. It is of the owners home town or families home town in Tunisia. While I usually am an avid yelp searcher when it comes to trying new places, we actually received a paper menu in our mailbox about this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. I usually throw these away but decided to keep it for future takeout purposes. Not only is this a place to get pizza, it also serves up TURKISH DISHES! We only tried their pizza but they make various pide, kofte, kebabs, baklava, and other Turkish dishes. Our "favorites" were the Buffalo Chicken Pizza (not overly Buffalo-y and a winner in our book!) and the mozzarella sticks. The supreme pizza was good but not sure we would get that one again. Been here a number of times and found the food incredible or eh. The lahmacun is incredible! The pide is great. Not a great place to enjoy incredible food. Night after night we found ourselves stating "let's order Aden again". My wife and I got hooked on their steak and cheese subs. The fries that come with it take it over the top. Being that my wife only eats halal meat she thought she had died and went to heaven. Even the beef pepperoni was halal! We usually do carry out but have used their personal delivery service as well. I started on Yelp, then went to Eat/24 & then their website & found out that they offer a 20% discount for 1st time users via their App...downloaded & we were ready to order. Well, I had to make one phone call for a quick inquiry, got a holiday greeting, got my question answered, & then we ready to order. Mom - I went with the Mixed Meze Platter. It comes with Hummus, babaghannush (grilled eggplant, garlic, olive oil & tahnini mixture - I 86'd the yogurt), ezme (nice salad concoction of tomatoes onions, parsley, peppers & spices - yummy), sigara borek (deep fried dough with feta cheese - those were put in another container for my daughter), falafel & of course pita bread, which was grilled & seasoned with olive oil & garlic. & for the price of $11.95 you get a nice portion of each item, DELICIOUS! Son - Steak & Cheese Sub, with the basic grilled onions, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes & mayo...however, it was the biggest & Philly looking Steak & Cheese I have seen in a very long time. Of course, it came with a huge portion of french fries & condiments. Daughter - Chicken Kebab Wrap, with a very seasoned/marinated chicken (nice aroma to it), lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, tzatziki sauce & french fries. They both had Baklava that was prepared with light & flaky dough & the special filling of walnuts, pistachio & honey sugar syrup. Of course I asked if butter was used, they did. :-( I just enjoyed the dessert vicariously through them. This avenue of ordering in oppose to the original reservations of a hotel meal worked out perfectly as we got plenty of food for the dollar & was able to kick back, fellowship & play Monopoly until 1am! The delivery guy called from downstairs. My phone was on silent and I missed he call. I saw that he texted me asking, "Do you still want your food?" I said yes, I do and apologized profusely for the missed call. He then said, "Well come downstairs then!" I responded saying that the concierge would allow him to come up to complete the delivery. This review is only for the lahmacun/lahmajun and pide. Both are excellent. The dough is crisp yet flexible at the same time on the lahmacun, and crisp and chewy on the pide. The toppings have fine flavor, although it's all about the dough for these two items, and both are very good. I would encourage the owners to use a spicy hot sujuk for the pide. Try the lahmacun, folks; it's not a substitute for pizza, it's its own category of dough smeared with very finely ground meat. read more

Good but not great. I have made an order at 9:22pm and received the order at 10:22pm. Excatly in an hour(!) What I have ordered were red lentil soup, iskender kebap and rice pudding. Lentil soup was good however iskender was sent to me in abundance of pide and tomatoe paste and little bit meat. In addition rice pudding was so starchy. I was so excited to finally find a legit Turkish restaurant in the area ! My carry out order was packaged perfectly for a safe trip home, and the yogurtlu kebab was wonderful. The portion sizes were generous, and even better, they had asked me what time I'd be arriving so my food was made just minutes before I got there ensuring it would be hot when I got home. Aden has become our go-to pizza spot after moving to the area. Their pizza is consistently good and any changes we make to the pizza are always done exactly the way we ask. Extra cheese...extra sauce...they're super generous with their orders and I love them for that! We've ordered amazing kabobs, falafel and wings now as well and are looking forward to slowly going through their whole menu to figure out our new favorites. Yum! This restaurant cooks up some amazing pizza AND they have other great options as well! They're a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant in addition to being a great pizza shop. I ordered take-out from here in September 2017 and really loved it. The cheese was perfectly melty and they're very generous with their toppings! A real gem in the heart of Bethesda. Usually we have to go downtown for great Turkish food, but this place delivers no question. First we ordered the Feta Pide which was absolutely AMAZING! Feta, Mozerella, Olives all wrapped in a calzone-esque dough. Quite literally one of the best one I've ever come across. For mains, we stuck to the basics and got the Doner Sandwich and the Falafel sandwich. Both served with fries definitely hit the spot. The meat on the Doner could've used just a little more seasoning, but overall was a great sandwich and very filling. Lastly we finished off with the house Baklava. Sweet perfection if I do say so myself. And the gentlemen at the counter who helped us was more than accommodating and very friendly. I've worked in Bethesda for a year this point and despite my efforts to bring lunch on a daily basis, I've gotten pretty acquainted with the many dining options in the area. Like Wheaton/SS around the corner, there are a wide range of options from all across the globe. Unlike Wheaton however, they are more on the pricier side if it's not a franchise. Aden, however, ends up being not just affordable but also becomes one of my favorite pizza spots in the area. Since I gave up pork, the halal menu only reinforces how much love I have for the place. Most recently I purchased the steak and cheese. The seasoning and unique mozzarella cheese easily makes it the best cheeseteak you can get in Bethesda. The owner is usually in the shop and is very friendly. One of my first jobs in high school well over a decade ago was actually working for him when he managed Domino's and he still recognized me. The fact that he remembered me and still carries on polite conversation speaks volumes about his character. (haha) Look up the WashPo article on this place. He has a great story. In general, you can't lose. It's the same prices as usual carry out spots, but far higher quality. read more

We ordered through GrubHub. My wife ordered a chicken gyro. Chicken was dry and the fries tasted as if they had been fried in rancid oil. I ordered the most expensive item on the takeout menu, the mixed kababs -- a sampling of every kebab they have on the menu. What I got was a dried mystery meat special. Slabs of leathery, flavorless red meats -- if there was a variety, there didn't appear to be -- and a few dry, hard chicken nuggets. Served with a little rice and some sorry tomatoes, a wedge of onion, and hot peppers. That the onion wedge was the highlight of the meal says it all. Neither of us could finish. The next day: I posted the above right after our meal last night. To my surprise -- and delight-- the owner tracked me down and called. I wasn't in, but my wife spoke to him. He is refunding the entire cost of our meal. In the light of his obvious concern, we'll definitely be given Aden Pizza another chance in the near future. I'll be updating this review accordingly. 12/22 Ordered the Chicken Kabab entrée. Much better than our last experience. Meal was delivered hot, ahead of schedule. Delivery was always on time or even a bit earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. The food was consistently yummy and great value!! My family ordered a fairly large delivery order for North Bethesda. We have vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free eaters as well as your typical omnivore. Aden was able to cater to EVERYONE and oh gosh it was delicious. The falafel was some of the best I've had, and my family agrees their hummus is the best stateside we have had so far. The babaganus was fine, it wasn't superb, I prefer what I've had elsewhere in DC. But still quite tasty. Anyway, we ordered enough for 10 people and it was delivered nice and hot within 45 minutes, exactly how long they said it would take. Amazing! Definitely mucho appreciated. We spent about $100 and it was more than enough for all 10 of us. The baklava is FANTASTIC, and their sandwich/wraps are fabulous. I went back two days after our big meal because I just needed to have it again. I'm glad it did...it was still so good. :) Definitely a new go-to place when I need a quick fix of delicious Turkish cuisine. There isn't a TON of seating inside, feels like a pizza joint in that respect ;) I can't speak to their pizza; I've been too distracted by the tasty Turkish food.
