    Diavola pizza and Mortazza sandwich

First time here and it doesn't disappoint. Place was popping, definitely a neighborhood favorite. The whole anchovies with the Caesar salad were perfect. The Mortazza Sammy has delicious, and the pizza was piping hot! Cupcakes 10/10 always a better experience when you can share with a friend. Come hungry, leave happy..

Ate it so quick, forgot to take a picture of it whole...it was so good.

Are you looking for great Detroit style pizza? Then look no further. Easily one of my fave pizza spots im DC. The crust is flavorful and light, just like foccacia bread. Staff was super nice. Great chill spot for some yummy food.

I'm afraid the quality of the service here has really dropped off recently. Two recent visits suggest that the servers are not being well trained or not paying attention. Easy to fix but someone needs to pay attention. We ordered a salad, pizza and a hamburger. The salad, which should have come first, came with the burger, followed by pizza. We waited for a few minutes (as the food cooled) so that cutlery and napkins and plates could be brought to the table. Water glasses were never refilled. Requests for extra napkins and a pizza box at the end required reminding. And, when the bill came, and we suggested that the server take away the plates, he seemed confused so we literally had to hand him the plates so that we could put our pizza in the box and sign the bill. I suggest to management that you provide a refresher training to some of your servers. This is not an isolated incident. Happily the pizza and hamburger still taste pretty good. I don't think there's any probability that this wonderful neighborhood restaurant will fail but they really could use better service. It has affected the enjoyment of the meal.

Holy shit! This place did not disappoint! A very casual restaurant - don't let the vibes fool you. The food is absolutely sensational! Service was quick, detailed and food came out super quick! We had the autumn salad, smash burger and the red wing pizza (Detroit style) and each dish was phenomenal! The burger was juicy and flavorful! The pizza crunchy and delicious! Even the salad had was insanely good! Will definitely be adding this place to our regular list!

Great pizza and nice patio for kids to run around. Service was a little spotty with drink refills but not too much of a biggie. Would come back!

Have you ever wondered what the food tastes like in heaven? Well, look no further. If you tried to build the food equivalent of a fantasy league, it would be everything on this menu. So delicious. Their Detroit style pizza is the closest thing. I have found anywhere in DC to a true deep dish pizza. It just blows my mind. They have so many interesting and quirky items on the menu. Well worth a visit, followed by many return visits.

    Red Wing

Came in for a late lunch and ordered the Red Wing -- our first time trying Detroit style pizza and we were not disappointed! The bread was fluffy and paired well with the burrata and tomato sauce. It took a little bit for us to get our food but we did come in at an off hour in between lunch and dinner. Looking forward to going back for more pizza soon!

The food was yummy, and they were very flexible when I asked for a custom food order. The waiters were also really kind and friendly.

That evening I had a hankering for negronis, and true to the bottomless offer, they kept them coming! No sooner than I had taken the last sip of one drink than the next one appeared. No looking around for a waiter! I was really impressed with their attentiveness. The hospitality is truly impeccable. When I gave feedback that the caesar salad was way too salty, the manager understood precisely what had gone wrong and instantly replaced it. I would have liked two meatballs rather than one, which would have felt generous, but this was not intended to be a meal, after all. We also ordered the corn and jalapeno fritters (which were probably fabulous when they were originally conceived but not currently being executed well) and for dessert a fantastic zabaglioni. Little Coco's is casual but stylish, a fun place to go, as is to be expected at all of Jackie Greenbaum's spots. Aperitivo Hour is M-F from 5-7. Highly recommend!

The day we visited, they had a margherita pizza and a veggie (mozzarella, Italian dandelions, sun-dried tomatoes, whipped goat chevre & hot honey). I'm still not sure what an Italian dandelion is, but it tasted great. But my favorite was the soft-serve, Honey Cardamon Lemon with Pistachios. Inventive and yummy! FYI, you can order the soft-serve when you order your pizza, but pick it up at the end of your meal so it doesn't melt. The food tastes great, but most of all, it's local and family-owned. Definitely in my standard rotation of pizza places. You should definitely get out to Takoma Park and try Red Hound!

Took about 30 minutes for our two pizzas to come out and we enjoyed being outside in the back where they have a few simple picnic tables set up. The space is clean, medium sized and the customer service is great. During my visit, after using the restroom, the staff noticed my hands were still a bit. She revealed that she is the same and we shared a laugh together over poop spreading bathroom dryers. After a LONG day in DC, we decided to recover and order dinner in at our hotel. We found Mamma…read moreLucia's and ordered via door dash. After an hour and a half wait, our order arrived hot and well-packed. Let me say - SO MUCH FOOD. About 3/4 of the food wasn't eaten because there was so much! We could have easily split one entree and feel bad so much went to waste (our hotel does not have mini-fridges in their rooms). For entrees, we ordered the bolognese and chicken Marsala. The Marsala was a hard no - there was almost zero sauce and flavor; we basically received two chicken breasts with a few mushrooms on top of unsauced spaghetti. The bolognese, however, was delicious! Very rich, served with fettuccini. Would have enjoyed more with Parmesan cheese on top. We received salads with each entree, and the dressings tested homemade and were delicious! A side of broccoli may have been the best broccoli I've ever had from a restaurant. Also included was grilled bread, but we passed on the bread due to the abundance of the rest of the food. Our order arrived without utinsils or napkins, which was disappointing (and challenging). We were able to beg utensils from our hotel, but I would reconsider ordering from them again due to that. Overall, a hit and miss order that came in at a higher than average (for us) price.
