Let me preface by saying that I almost NEVER leave reviews because I am so overly particular,…read moreeasily disappointed and am generally difficult to please that any review would be contaminated by this. I'm making an exception here because the experience was so outstanding.....from the initial call, scheduling the appt, showing up when promised and making the repair quickly and affordably. Terry Haynes, the owner is to be commended for his personal service and dedication. My Kenmore washing machine got sick....filled with water but wouldn't run. I got on the internet, as the YP don't really work efficiently any longer, found some companies and made a few calls. Terry by far and away stood out above the rest.....not only did he completely understand the likely problem (and told me ahead of time of the probable cause), he offered a prompt appointment day/time and quoted me his fee structure for repair. Terry called ahead of the appt, showed up on time, diagnosed the problem (the one of three mentioned on the phone), and fixed it within minutes. He could have easily tried to sell me the actual part that broke (the lid switch) which would have been $50+ above the service call but instead said...."if it were me I'd just bypass it because it will fail again and it's only a minor safety feature".....it's actually helpful in my opinion to be able to open the lid and see how it agitates.....I can stop it just by pausing the cycle buttons. Honest and forthright.....he left the decision to me. Additionally, Terry said if I ever had questions about other issues he gladly accept my call and help me over the phone......no third party without knowledge, no Indian call center.....the actual guy doing the repair looking to improve his service. I'm frankly a little concerned about making this review because my guess is that he'll start to become more successful because of it and I may lose a good contractor because of his company's growth, good attitude and business practices. Unfortunately this is the first time I've ever had to write a negative review…read more I reached out to Terry on April 6th asking for him to fix my stove. He went by and gave me a quote of 695 dollars to fix it. Said I had to pay in advance because he had to buy parts and there is no refund. So I paid him and when we initially talked he said about 2 weeks parts will be in and we'd be in touch. 2 weeks I reach out he said he hadn't heard anything yet. Month goes by I again reach out again says only half the parts have came in but he will check. 6 weeks goes by I reach out, just waiting on 1 valve he says. Then he ghosts me for months at a time says "I'm on vacation I'll check when I get back" 78 days after I paid him he says "Yes, I will be refunding your money back. Because I checked with the warehouse and they ordered the wrong parts. I apologize for all the delay in hassle you had to go through." I have requested through Venmo from him multiple times with no response. That was 14 days ago and he hasn't responded to any of my text. I have been very respectful and just want my money back for services not rendered.

Our Samsung dryer started making some pretty awful noises, and after one failed DIY attempt (plus a…read moreziplock bag of "extra screws" ), we knew it was time to call a professional. Broad Ripple Appliance came highly recommended by a friend, and they absolutely lived up to it. Scheduling was quick and easy, I spoke with Brad, who got me set up for a next-day appointment. They do charge a standard $70 diagnostic fee, which felt fair. Brad gave me a heads-up call before arriving and showed up right on time. Even better, he came fully prepared with the tools and the replacement part needed, so he was able to fix the dryer on the spot. You can really tell he takes pride in his work with great attention to detail, and he even shared some helpful maintenance tips for the future. Best of all, the dryer was fixed the same day, and reassembled properly this time, with no "extra" screws left behind. Fair pricing, friendly service, and high-quality work. They do accept credit cards, but recommend cash or check to avoid a 3% fee (which gave me a reason to dust off my checkbook). Highly recommend, and we'll definitely use them again--hopefully not anytime soon!

Eric came to our home about noon today because water was dripping out of our LG refrigerator and we…read morecalled them to take a look at it. We had completed a manual defrost twice in two weeks and water was still building up under the basket in the bottom of the freezer. Eric came in and got right to work, within 15 minutes. He had all kinds of pieces laying on the floor and he diagnosed it as the drain line being frozen up, not clogged. He was able to get it back together and working again, even less than an hour. part of the problem is we had the temperature set too low. We were very impressed.

In late January of this year, Duncan replaced the ice maker in my refrigerator. The technician did…read morean excellent job, and the entire repair took about 15 minutes. Less than six months later, the replacement ice maker failed because of defective internal gearing. The part itself was covered under the manufacturer's warranty, and once again the technician completed the repair in less than 15 minutes. My issue isn't with the technicians or the quality of their service--it was with Duncan's billing policy. I was charged $289 for what amounted to a quick replacement of a warranty part that was known to be defective. While the manufacturer covered the replacement part, Duncan only warranties its labor for 90 days. After that, customers are responsible for the full labor charge, even when the failure is caused by a defective part that Duncan installed. In many cases, service companies can seek reimbursement from the manufacturer for warranty labor, yet I was still billed the full amount. I understand that businesses have overhead, technicians deserve to be paid, and service calls cost money. I was prepared to pay a fair and reasonable charge. However, $289 for a 15-minute repair on a warranty replacement part that failed in less than six months feels excessive. What was most disappointing was the lack of willingness to discuss or reconsider the charge when I raised my concerns. A little flexibility or customer goodwill would have gone a long way. Based on this experience, I will not be using Duncan again. If you're considering them, be aware that while they stand behind their labor for only 90 days, you may still face significant labor charges if a replacement part fails shortly after that period.
