All the samples showed negative for asbestos. "Cool!" I thought, but my anxiety still didn't let me feel completely satisfied. I took my own samples, submitted them to a lab in Anaheim ($20 a sample), and the sample I took from my ceiling fan came back positive for 4% Chrysotile (asbestos). I don't know what they did with my money, but it's insane to think that they overlooked the ceiling fan which is one of the common places for asbestos to have been used. I have 0 years of experience in the industry and even I knew that. Don't waste your money. Labs charge about $20 a sample. Find a lab, follow their instructions, and save yourself massive amounts of money. For asbestos, this was an absolutely useless service.
