Dr. Jennifer Jenkins is rude and unpersonable. She was over 40 minutes late for my daughters appointment, kept us waiting without anyone letting us know she was running behind. I inquired at the front desk on how much longer we would be waiting. she then came into the room abruptly without saying hello or addressing her delay. it was clear she was not pleased that I inquired about the wait time. She was rude, unapologetic and obviously does not respect her patient's time. read more

I'm rewriting my review because my first one came across as overly harsh. I came in for a routine acne check-up and, at the end of the appointment, briefly showed Dr Yang a small wart on my foot. Without any explanation or discussion, the doctor took out a tool and froze it off in a matter of seconds. I wasn't informed about the nature of the procedure, any potential costs, or even what exactly was being done. Later that week, I was shocked to receive a bill of over $500 for that two-second procedure. There was zero communication or transparency throughout the process. In today's world--where trust in healthcare is more important than ever--patients deserve clear communication. Medical practitioners must prioritize transparency and patient understanding, not just efficiency. This experience left me feeling VERY taken advantage of, and I hope this practice reevaluates how they approach patient care moving forward. read more

Showed Dr Yang a wart I had on my foot during a normal visit for acne. She just grabbed the wart removal tool and zapped it WITHOUT telling me that the 2 second procedure that I could do myself with a $20 tool from CVS was going to end up costing over $500. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I have been a patient with APDerm (formerly Dermatology Associates) in Franklin and Norwood for the past 22 years. I have never had an issue with my services or insurance until this year. I recently had several biopsies taken during a routine skin exam where it was determined necessary. I was never informed during my visit that the lab work (pathology) was not covered under my insurance! Why would they not tell me that the Pathologist checking my biopsies was not an approved Dr under my insurance? When I questioned them after I received a $1,200 bill, they said that "I should have done my research ahead of time."...If you are naked, under lights, with a new Dr and they tell you need a biopsy, do you think I am asking if "the lab takes my insurance?!" I am thinking I might have cancer again. I told them I would be able to make regular $100 per month payments until it was paid off because that is a financial hardship for me at this time. I just received a letter from a collection's agency, how nice of them! PATIENTS BEWARE! read more

After waiting a month for an appointment it was cancelled less than a week notice. Was told that I could see her in another month are they crazy. Was told the provider didn't have a medical assistant that day so they couldn't have the visit. You're telling me the office manager couldn't find coverage. Or better yet it consult, the doctor is to good to click a few buttons and handle the visit on her own. What a joke.Mind you this was a self pay visit. This office will never get a penny from me. read more

I tried to order a renewal of my regular prescription. Dermatology Associates made a senseless excuse and did not renew it. I then called and asked for an explanation. A customer service rep, who had no real knowledge or interest in the matter, told me he would do some research and call me back. Weeks have passed, and there has been no reply (and I am sure there will be no reply). In the meantime, I found a new dermatologist. DA has expanded to the point where it does not appear to bother them to lose a customer. read more

The medical/clinical side of this practice is fantastic. The cosmetic side is ridiculously overpriced. If you need to have skin tags or other imperfections removed, shop around. Two years ago the exact same procedure was $150 less. Dr. Eliades is very nice and very good at his job, but I can't afford to pay off his med school loans. I'll be going to Providence for my next cosmetic treatment. read more

i have been seeing Dr. Jenkins for years and I like her and have no issues with her care. However today i called to reschedule my appointment that i made 1 year ago because i have covid. I was given attitude by the nurse who stated "well you do know that she is booking into May and June". Gee im sorry would you have preferred that i come in there with covid? And the next available appointment is in June! This is completely unacceptable. Im trying to do the right thing to protect your staff and providers and i get attitude from your schedulers AND have to wait 6 mths for another appointment. Why arent there appointments saved for sick reschedules? I work for a pediatricians office (and until now referred often to your practice) and this would never be acceptable in that office. I was seeing Dr Jenkins for annual skin checks for many years. I had other work I needed done on my face, and Dr. Jenkins recommended Dr. Patel. At the appointment with Dr. Patel, before starting the procedure, I asked her for a quote as this cosmetic procedure was probably not be covered by insurance . Although to me it was expensive, Dr. Patel's care was excellent and I paid the quoted price in full by credit card that day. A few weeks later, a bill came in the mail. I spoke with billing many times, explained the quoted price (I agree with others, billing does not call back, the problem was resolved. Fast forward a YEAR, I see Dr. Jenkins for my annual check, I pay the bill my insurance didn't cover AND then received an outstanding bill from a year ago. I called billing. Fast forward a few months, a collection agency sends a letter. it's been 2 months, no new bills. Hope it's resolved for them.I'm done . Too much of this "business" is about the money, not the patients. I have a new Dermatologist. read more

This place is horrible..I was a pt there for 8 yrs and saw Dr Rolinzik up until his "last day seeing pts" in August. I was told by Dr Rolinzik that Dr Eliades would be taking over my care..Dr Eliades who I saw one time prior to take out sutures after a procedure, rescheduled my apt from June to August to October..I was then sent a certified letter in Nov that I was being terminated as a pt. for missing 2 appontments. This, as I have Psoriasis, do Tremfya injections and was to resume my laser therapy with Nikki. Neither Dr Rolinzik, who still works there, "behind the scenes", nor Dr Eliades chose to have the decency to get back to me, instead I had to go through hoops to find out what "appointments that I missed" and who made this note. This person Regional Director, Nicole Shea never signed her name on the letter, instead being a coward signing Office Administrator, nor got back to me. Instead I dealt with a nasty individual Office Manager Nicole Chea, who scolded me for calling her work phone. She new nothing about the practice, then said I could go to No Attleboro, who has no Xtrac treatmemt center and I was bounced back to Norwood. Spoke with Jackie and then John Rampone who also said I missed multiple apts, violated office policy in missing apts. I asked him why I was never presented with the office policy, nor told that I missed apts and continued to see Dr Rolinzik, Jan, Nikki and Dr Eliades and was never told about any of this. John Rampone said "Im not going to comment on that." He then offered me to go to another office after being treated like this and continued to say I missed apts when the Drs cancelled on me last minute as well as Jan if she was ill. I liked Jan, Erin, Nikki and Noreen, unfortunately the overall culture at APDerm is all about people making money for themselves and could care less about pt care of treating long term pts with respect..I voiced to Aundra multiple times that the other laser person Kelly, who also was not available when I showed up for my intial appointment with her, instead dancing in the office lobby, radio blasting and ignored me as I banged on the door. I asked to not see Kelly again and to resume seeing Jan who I had a great relationship with. Each time I came into see Jan, Kelly would make comments about me to others who worked there, walked in front of me snickering, and trying to antagonize me. I let Aundra and Dr Rolinzik know on multiple occasions what Kelly was doing and nothing was done about this. I am really disgusted in the way I was treated here and disgarded like trash on others sneaky ways, of canceling my apts and then blaming me. It comes from the top with Dr Rolinzik and Dr Elaides who chose to not get involved and create smoke and mirrors to abandon me as a pt when my conditions have exacerbated due to all of the stress this has created. Dr Rolinzik would also on mutiple times cancel last minute and I was told that he didnt want to work on Fridays..and again John Rampone blamed me for missing not 2 but now 25 apts and violating an Office policy dated June 7, 2023 and stating that patients would be charged $50-$100 per missed apt. I again let John Rampone know that I was never told of missed apts. nor was I ever presented with this "Office policy" nor presented with this, and let him know that I would never allow myself to be subject to multiple charges that never took place. He again said "Im not going to comment on that." THIS PLACE IS A JOKE...STAY CLEAR of this office and all DERMATOLOGY ASSOC..they are rude, deceptive and nasty people who could care less about patient care...Find a DR who cares and people that are kind that work there instead of bodies that know nothing about what the practice offers and have zero people skills, and who the Drs hide behind these JOKERS to do their dirty work.. I am really disgusted in DR Rolinzik who I thought was for his patients, but instead could care less and just is concerned with padding his wallet..Dr Eliades is also a coward and cancelled mutiple apts and chose to ignore me and not get back to me, instead creating lies of missed apts when it was him that canceled on me...THIS PLACE IS TOXIC STAY CLEAR! read more

My husband was diagnosed with Squamous Cell carcinoma last year. It was successfully removed by Dr Krejci. He went to his follow up with Dr Eliades about 2 wks later and was told to make another appointment for follow up in 6 months. We both went to the desk and Corey gave him an appt and handed him a card. Fast forward 6 months he shows up to the appt and there is no record in the computer of this appt. So they send him home! I talked with the Supervisor and explained that it was an error on their part and they should have accommodated him either that day or as soon as possible. She gives me another appt for 2 months later!! Today the office called to reschedule this appt. Are they serious??? This office does not know what they are doing and it is inexcusable to treat a patient this way when it was clearly their mistake as Corey never entered this appt into the computer! So now we have to find another dermatologist thanks to their incompetence and unprofessionalism. read more

I'm giving APDerm 1 star because they need to do something about their billing issue. There is an option to pay your bill online, but the site is always crashing and it makes it impossible to get anything paid. In addition, you need a specific number off of your monthly statement in order to pay your bill online. The annoying thing is that the number changes every month that you get your bill. Why not just keep and use the same number?? I always end up needing to call the office to pay my bill. Get it together! read more

Do not go here if you are self pay. I paid two months worth of electricity just to come home and find a papule that was overlooked. When I called the next day I was prompted to leave a voicemail and I never received a call back. I called again on the next available business day and was able to get through. I asked if I could come in to finish the treatment they said I would need to book another appointment and pay full price. Please beware, sad to see how low the medical field as gone just for profit. I work half the year on an island in south Florida where expenses are twice what they are here in the north east and was charged $70 more for the exact same procedure, which took less than 15 minutes of the doctors time.
