If I could give 0 stars I would. I just left this shop with the owner yelling "F*ck you, get the f*ck out of my shop. I feel sorry for your husband". (I'm assuming he feels sorry for him because I didn't cower to his misogyny and condescension and let him cut me off and insult me). Not only did he keep my vehicle for 3 months with NO WORD to my husband or l (he called us both liars btw), but I left voicemails and a message with the receptionist for him to call me and he never did. His defense was that I must not have cared since I left the vehicle there, and when I was trying to explain that my husband was unable to come during business hours, that he works during that time...and that I also work out of town and this is my first time home in almost a month, he kept cutting me off and started yelling at me. He also lied and gaslighted me when I said I had called and couldn't even leave a voicemail because their phone says voicemail is full. He said he wasn't able to get after market parts, except that also is a lie because I have it at another shop and they are able to get every single piece it needs from Auto Parts outlet in Raleigh, for just under 1500. He told me it would be over 8K to fix it because "all the parts had to be ordered new". Unprofessional, overly aggressive, misogynistic scam artist. Too bad he's not BBB accredited, although this is probably why. read more

They are a very high quality operation. I crashed my car pretty badly when I was visiting my daughter in Apex. Marianna and Darin we're very easy to deal with and their work was very high-quality. As mentioned, the damage was severe and when I picked it up, the car looked absolutely perfect! I hope I don't need to use them again. But if I do, I will definitely go back. read more

I have been serviced by Apex Auto Body Shop. They have been always stellar in their work/delivery. Having teenage kids at home, brings up these frequent visits. Now Apex Autobody have become my only go to shop. I realized my insurance coverage did not cover collision damage. Hence two occasions I had the foot the bill completely on my own. Not only did they do a stellar job, but surprised him by washing and polishing the outside and sprucing up the interior as well. They even found out he'd be driving to CA from NC next week and took his 2014 car for a test spin to make sure there were no apparent mechanical issues. I went to Apex Auto Body Specialist, when I had my Buick encore rear door damaged by a low level pole. Darren spoke nicely and gave me option to replace white used door. When I asked, how good an used door be, he promised he will use a non-damaged door only. This option was also given some other dealers saying, the door they use will be used but undamaged. By the time I decide to get work done by him his quote had more than doubled including painting. They also took longer time than promised. Within a month, after heavy rains, the paint started fading and I saw minute dented patch on the replaced door. Few more patches appeared within another month. I went to him to show this. The minute I showed him the patch, he started yelling at me that, why don't I understand that its a used door. When I reminded him that he had promised an undamaged door, he raised his voice further. I told him, 'sir please do not raise your voice. you have replaced my 1 place damaged door with a completely damaged door. He said, 'I am mad because this is what I am getting for HELPING you. Pull the car, I bluff it off'. That minute I understood this guy did this very well aware of what he is doing and confident to bluff me away(Lone girl came for repair). I drove away, feeling threatened without standing for another minute. This all happened under 5 mins. My car would have been better off with the dent I had with re-paint(not at this place ofcourse), than replacing with another 'minutely damaged throughout' door. Now, I have to get this replaced, before every patch is visible while paint wears off. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Utterly dishonest people with crappy work.. read more

Went in and got a estimate for painting my front bumper. I hate bugs. I spoke with Darian and he explained the last person that painted my bumper ( 3 yrs ago) did not do it correctly. He explained what and how he would do it. This would prevent the chips from bugs. He was very through and pleasant to talk with. You do have to go behind another building to get to this body shop. read more

Terrible attitude and shoddy work. Used them to replace the rear bumper and noticed dents and scuffs on the rear bumper upon inspection at car pickup. When pointing them out, they tried to downplay it initially and then finally begrudgingly agree to take care of it after my further insistence. When I proposed to just throw in a discount instead of fixing them to save everyone time, he accused me of planning this on purpose. I found this insulting given that one should expect a new car part to be free of blemishes and I wouldn't have proposed this if the repair came back issue-free to begin with. Given their attitude and response, I don't plan to bring the car back to have them "take care of it" as quite frankly I'm not comfortable with them doing further work on my car and I don't trust their work. read more

Great service from start to finish!! When my parked car (in my driveway) was hit multiple times by a moving truck trying to turn around, I needed to do something quick! After seeing good reviews on Yelp, I decided to call this shop. Sooo glad I did. Darin was so helpful, encouraging and calm. He reassured me that things will be taken care of and he would update me along the way. That's exactly what he did! He is definitely an advocate for the customer. My car looks great and rides great! I had the pleasure of working with Miranda when I brought my car to Apex Collision. They came highly recommended and her customer service skills were first-rate. Mitch and Herb did an exceptional job with the repair and blended the paint to the point that the car looked brand new again. The detailing was absolutely beautiful, and they went the extra mile restoring the driver-side leather seat to its original color (blue jeans were the culprits in this case). Went here because of the 4.5 star rating. But regret it. Although the staff and owner are professional and friendly, the work quality is not. I took my car here to get the bumper repainted which then led to two more visits after unsatisfactory work or damage. To other parts of the car. It seems every time I get the car back something else on it is messed up. Good people, bad service. UPDATE: I keep finding more things wrong with my car after they have worked on it. For starters there are multiple places on my cars paint where the clear coat is no longer there due to them trying to over correct their bad paint job. Second, there has been a persistent squeaking noise coming from my trunk since I got the car back. It has gotten worse over time, I was finally fed up and decided to investigate. I found that both of my tail lights were missing a nut to hold them in place. This must of happened when they took off the bumper. This is the second time I have noticed them not putting things back together properly. The first time I got my car back the clips that hold the interior carpet in the trunk were left all over the places with the carpet insecure. As well as a empty paint mixing bucket left in the back seat. I have gone back 3 times for them to fix what they mess up and each time I get it back it gets worse. Half of my car panels are now missing clear coat and needs to be repaired before the paint fades and chips away. This is an expensive fix, how ever I will do anything I can not to ever go back to this buisness! read more

I recently picked up my vehicle after having them repair it after an accident and was shocked to find they didn't really do any of the work. The owner says an employee "forgot" to do some of it and didn't realize the rest of it was supposed to be fixed at all (EDIT: He now says he did realize more was supposed to be fixed, but didn't do it because he thought it would take too long). Owner says he was trying to help us out by cutting corners to cut costs. I'm out $500 and will have to pay many hundreds more to have it properly repaired somewhere else. Really disappointed. EDIT: My insurance company agrees that the work this shop did (or didn't do, for the most part) was so unacceptable that they are reimbursing me what I paid them and allowing me to bring it to a more reputable shop to get it properly repaired. EDIT #2: The owner was very angry at my negative review and confronted my husband about it. After a couple of phone calls my husband agreed to make me alter and improve my review in exchange for doing more of the work, so I've had to delete about half of what I had said and given them an extra star. Some of the work done the second time around was good but there are two spots where it appears they caused further damage while repairing the original damage. read more

************************GO HERE FOR GREAT WORK AND BETTER SERVICE****** We recently had a minor incident with our recently licensed teen driver. She backed out of the garage, cut the wheel to tight and literally tore the front bumper cover off the car. Somehow she managed to shear every plastic pin that holds the nose of the car on completely off. It looked much worse than it turned out being, almost comical. I had a neighbor that had used Apex Auto Body in the past so I reached out to Darren. He said bring it in and he have one of his guys look at it. Two days later we had the car back and Darren charged us $80. $80 doesn't get your car looked at with most body shops. The best part is I told Darren when i dropped the car off that my daughter would be paying for it since she did it. I was not with my daughter when she picked up the car. She went in and paid, and as she was pulling out of the parking lot Darren met and stopped her. When she put her window down he handed her a $20 bill back and said "drive careful". Now this isn't just about the money but I will say that Darren is a class act. Not only did he do this kind gesture, but the work done by his team was great and to top it off the car came back nice and clean. Hopefully you never need body work, but if you do, bringing your vehicle to Darren and his team is a can't miss Thanks Darren and team. read more

Experienced my second deer hit in a year. Had tried Haddock and Kenny Hawkins before but was unimpressed with their results. So thought I would take a chance on a local body shop. Glad I did. Darren, the manager, at Apex Autobody Specialists did a great job - he was courteous and offered to get a rental, tow truck, etc. He also took care of the alignment. Best of all he was able to work with the deductible which was a big help since I had already had a deer hit payout a few months ago. They were very responsive, always kept me updated and delivered ahead of schedule. The quality of work was much better than Haddock and Hawkins. Repairs included front bumper, bumper cowl, grill, fender, driver's side doors and trim. Would use them again. read more

I would characterize my experience as flawed, but smoothed over by an honest business man who seems to have tried his level best to make a bad situation the best it could be. We got into an auto accident a little while ago, causing some significant damage to our car. We had some issues finding a auto body shop that could service our car in a timely manner, and I ended up finding Apex Auto Body after some google searches. Given the positive reviews I decided to give it a shot. Our first experience certainly left a lot to be desired, and at first I was very mad. We still had significant damage left untouched, and some of the work they said they would do was left undone. There also seemed to be a lot of focus on saving us money, which at the time I just wanted my car fixed. I think if I were to have rated my experience at this point I would have certainly gone with one star. But I started communicating, with my insurance and with Apex Auto. The first people to get back to me was the body shop(I suppose my insurance agent was on vaca?). It was clear to me from the start that he felt very badly that I had such a profoundly negative experience, and he was easy to work with to try and make it right. At this point I was still unsure given my first impression. Talking with my insurance agent I decided the best course of action was to take it somewhere else for a mechanical inspection and address the auto body work later. At this point in my mind I was still thinking about going somewhere else. By the time it came out of the mechanics shop, I felt at ease enough to give Apex Auto a chance to redeem themselves. After the car came back the workmanship was much improved. The damage that had been missed the first time was gone, he took care of some small misc damage unrelated to my accident for free. Over all, I'm very happy to have my car back and the major area's of concern were addressed. I certainly do wish we had a smoother launch, that is for sure. But in the end a good honest desire to get things right was very helpful in smoothing over a what otherwise could have been a total disaster. I would like to thank Apex Auto for their efforts, if you decide to do business with them I would simply say stay in touch, communicate. Customer service was very good.
