Ask the Community - Apex Luggage Store

Hi, do you/can you repair a stuck handle on a hard roller trunk? It's a July... And if so how long will it take? I need to travel on Sunday. Thanks.

We do not do luggage repairs.

Do you sell the belts that go around suitcases that will keep them closed in case the zipper breaks?

Yes we do.

Do you repair, leather and ballistic nylon Hartman bags?

Not at the moment. Hartman / Hartmann was acquired by Samsonite and they don’t have much parts.

Hello , Do you replace side handles in luggage? My side handle snapped when trying to pickup my…

I think you should contact Modern Repair on 32nd St.

Hi! Do you replace suitcase wheels? Brookstone 21 inch spinner. Thx

We suggest Modern Repair on 2 W 32nd St for repairs.

Hey! Wanted to ask if you might have truly that cost no more than 50 dollars?

Sorry we do not

This bag means the world to me because it was my very first designer bag, gifted to me over 10 years ago They worked absolute magic! The cleaning and restoration were done with such incredible care and attention to detail. When I got it back, it literally looked brand new You would never know it had gone through anything! Shoutouts to Leather Spa bringing it back to life! On top of that, the turnaround time was so fast which meant so much to me. I'm beyond grateful to have my sentimental piece restored so beautifully. It looks just the same now as it did when I first got it. I highly recommend them to anyone needing expert care for their luxury items! 10/10 experience!

Absolutely despicable. Stay away from Leather Spa at all costs! Destroyed a brand new, unworn pair…read moreof Louboutin boots for which I just paid over $2k at Saks. I first brought the boots to the Grand Central location and was turned away because apparently only 55th Street (the least accessible NYC location for me) does calf alterations. My boots were 1-1.5" too wide in the calves as I have very narrow legs, and while I was clear that I didn't want them to be tight, I did want them to look more fitted and neater around my legs. I went to 55th Street and intentionally had the boots fitted over jeans, repeatedly telling the store employee that he was cutting off my circulation and needed to loosen the boots. Rather than listen to me and do what I asked, he told me that they could stretch them if they turned out too small. I very adamantly said no, I will not compromise the integrity of the leather by stretching them nor will I agree to have the boots made too small so that additional work will be required. I finally asked him to provide the final measurement and was told it was 13". The boots were originally 14.5" for reference. The boots were ready in just over a week, which already had me concerned since I hadn't requested a rush job. Upon receiving them, I could immediately see that they were two different sizes. The left boot is 12.5" and the right boot is just barely 12.25". They are nearly impossible to zip, the seams were done VERY poorly and not straight, and most importantly, they do not fit without severe pain. I cannot walk in them. I literally can't even move my right ankle. And that's on my bare legs without jeans. I immediately contacted Leather Spa and received a response from Vincent who said it's very common for boots with this type of repair to require additional treatment and that I should bring them back for stretching. Did I not already have this conversation BEFORE I paid $300+ to ruin $2k+ boots??? Vincent insists they are not ruined even after I sent photos showing that they very much are. Further, they didn't even send them back to me nicely - they threw shreds of cut leather pieces inside one of the boots and just sent them off that way as further evidence of the total rush job. I used to frequent Leather Spa 55th and my patronage fell off years ago after they did something very similar to a pair of $300 boots. I was very clear during my visit this time that that could not happen again with my brand new Louboutin boots that were significantly more expensive. Had the employee just told me on the spot that they were going to cut my boots too small and require stretching thereafter, I would've taken the boots, walked out and gotten them repaired elsewhere. Literally the only reason I returned to Leather Spa is because Christian Louboutin recommends them. Never again.

I like the watches and they make some really nice leather bags and accessories. I do have one favorite piece. I purchased a wallet that is very well made. I've used it many years daily and it has held up beautifully. It's soft leather that's comfortable to hold. It's got the credit card holder and two zipper pockets that are very convenient. I'm giving Fossil Four Stars. It's pricey but beautiful merchandise. This store is beautiful. The employees let me browse to my hearts content. Fossil is more than watches. Visit when you're nearby. So you have to keep calling and calling and calling. It's like a shop in a third world country. We're in NYC and they don't know when the battery will arrive. You sell the friggin' watch but have ZERO idea of when the battery arrive. A major watch store in NYC doesn't know what or when or how. Amazing. Truly amazing. Will be returning the watch. EDIT Review: Apparently you can get the battery elsewhere and bring it in. Sooooo, I didn't NEED to wait a month, I could've went to Best Buy or on Amazon and gotten it right away. Employees need training to answer simple questions and tasks and NOT inconvenience customers!
