I did a runway shoot in Studio D. Denis who managed my booking provided an exceptional service. He was very kind and attentive and followed through with every promise that he made to make our shoot successful. The studio was setup perfectly before I arrived there with my crew. If I needed anything during the shoot, I contacted Denis and he accommodated us right away. He is very responsive and really cares about his clients. I could not recommend him and his team enough. This was the first time I been to Apex and I'm a fan. The shoot space was clean and organized and the equipment was in good working shape. The staff was helpful and all about getting you the aid you need to get your project done. There's lots all around as well as meter parking. There's elevators to help bring your stuff up. Dennis was the man!! Thank you for working so hard and for your hospitality! We had Studio A with city views and also a view of my car at the parking garage across the way. Studio A was super spacious with awesome natural lighting. Everything we needed and didn't have, APEX had and provided to us (not sure if it cost extra since my friend was the one who rented the room). Red backdrop, backdrop support stands, and music that went throughout the whole room to give the room a fun vibe while shooting! Very grateful to have found Apex Photo Studio. This is a top notch studio located downtown L.A. The studios are perfect for any type of shoot. Plus, if you are not afraid of heights, the roof top has a fantastic view of downtown Los Angeles as a backdrop. Sunset is like a light show. The owner is named Bobby and he was a pleasure to work with. He was very easy to talk to and really allowed me room to have a wonderful photo session. You can rent all the lighting equipment you need there. The equipment is top notch. Pretty amazing, I forgot what studio we used but we were able to use the emergency stair case as well. I was modeling for a Christmas shoot and the room was perfect. The lady that was there to help out was very nice. She even gave us a little extra time since we were the last to book one of the rooms that night. I know they updated a bunch of their rooms, which Is why I was excited to be invited back to do another shoot here at this studio. Check it out. Won't regret it. read more

I had a simple 1/2 day shoot, found this place via Yelp, pictures looked nice so I thought why not. I did a quick search for photo rental studios in Downtown LA and though Apex had no Yelp reviews they had some great shots on their site. Claire was more than helpful getting me booked and loaded onto a stage. Their west-facing stage has incredible Downtown views, was really amazing at sunset. I'll definitely be back should the need arise. read more

Good for low budget shoots. The pictures look better than the space itself... floors and walls were very rough in person. Pricing is alright but I think FD is cheaper for the same type of setup. Last time I was here weather was just starting to get hot. The AC in studio D was barely enough... you basically could not move or lift heavy objects without sweating. read more

This past weekend was my first time using Apex studios, and I can honestly say it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The venue is very urban, open and has plenty of natural light to be utilized. The best part of my experience was the customer care, Joey was beyond helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed from when I arrived to when I left the studio. The photographer was nice, they were respectful about covid but half our pictures are unusable due to a booger being in a 4 year olds nose. What person would not clean a child's nose when this was noticed, you may say you mom well I checked it but I am not with a lens taking the picture. A little less than half our pictures are affected this way and the studio does not care at all and says that they stand by the photos. They state that they offer help and coaching. Where is the help and coaching. DO NOT make the mistake that we made by looking at pictures on their large screen, when you look closely at the pictures you find flaws that had you known to ask to look on a small screen you would see. What can I say, The Regency West is the go to place for events! I have been to several events there and the space couldn't be more versatile, from indoor sit-down events, standing room only, stage shows, and even an outdoor parking lot that can be converted to amazing patio, and lounge area for entertaining. The best part of the location is the bar located in the back of the room. No bar rentals needed. We have also rented the location for my dad's 90th birthday and it was such a seamless process that I would rent it again and again!!! A+ read more

They had the stages team help load in the flats to the freight elevator and make it work. The space is very nice and great natural light. Apex Photo Studios has to be one of the best studios in the Los Angeles area. With a chill vibe, bluetooth speaker and upscale backgrounds for many different ideas. They are also super convenient by staying open later to accommodate your needs/wants. The pricing is extremely great for all the amenities and accommodations they offer. What I love most about this studio, aside from the lighting, is the the accommodating staff. I've worked with the Apex staff a handful of times and they are always willing to go above and beyond to help my team accomplish a successful shoot. Stephanie is always an A+ team member. When one of the models broke her nail, Stephanie walked one of my crew members to a local nail spot to make sure that our team carried on with the shoot when we couldn't spare any time. I've shot in studio A & B for 8-hour days, while studio D I use occasionally for the perfect photo lighting, though I do recommend that all crews request the A/C on full blast before lights go up. The natural lighting was great and it was compact enough to meet all of our needs. The two white couches and mirror in the room ended up serving as props. Staff is extremely nice, patient, and accommodating. Parking in downtown can be a huge pain, but they were able to reserve 10 spots for me next door which I couldn't tell you how great and helpful that was for our music video.
