I thought I had a leak in my sprinkler plumbing that caused water to come up between the pavers in my next door neighbor's back yard. Paul came to my house to look over my project. We went over to the neighbor's back yard to look at where his little flooding problem is, and he was very skeptical that the leak is coming from my plumbing. "Well, the last time my sprinklers ran, water started coming up here" I said. At his suggestion, we tried the experiment again. I ran the sprinklers for 40 minutes, and the neighbor's yard remained dry. I had a couple of other contractors who were more than happy to dig around looking for the leak that I insisted was there. Paul took the time to actually analyze the situation and suggest an experiment that showed that I don't need to hire him. We have a 60 year-old Pin Oak tree in our backyard that is at least 65' tall. We have it trimmed, thinned out, unweighted, and cleaned up every 4-5 years. Over the years we have been very happy with some companies, but when management changes, quality sometimes suffers. We have never had a better experience, than with Apex. Paul Nava arrived for an estimate on the day we called, and the tree was trimmed the next day. Such quick service may not always be available, but the quality of the work is the best we have ever had. The tree is thinned of all dead wood, new growth "suckers", shaped and unweighted! Contacted 6 tree trimming services on Yelp. Paul from Apex was the first to respond and came out the very next day to provide an estimate. I told him to give me a few days while I get a few other quotes and Paul was cool about it. Another 2 companies responded, made appointments but never came. Pisses me off when this happens as they do not respect our time. Anyways, 2 more guys came out and provided quotes where one was slightly below what Apex quoted but I decided to give Paul the job. Something genuine about this guy. Cleared up 3 redwoods, 3 aspens, 2 palms and another large tree. Fast, clean and efficient.
