For the main course my husband had the short rib and I had the duck breast. Both dishes were delicious and I requested the cauliflower grits for a side and they were fabulous . I also had a basil cucumber martini which was great too. Our waitress was lovely and we had a great experience. We also got lucky bc we stopped in to make a reservation and they were fully booked. Niece and I decided on AG for Saturday brunch. I was forewarned about the street parking always being full and there being a parking garage near by. It was a rainey day so I was hoping they weren't too busy. We lucked up with a Park Mobile space right in front of the restaurant! :) We were immediately greeted and taken to a table upon entrance. The spot is cozy and open and we were able to carry on a private conversation across the table from each other even with other diners close by. Our waitress was wonderful and I wish I could have remembered her name. She was engaging, informative and provided professional, friendly service. It was Summer restaurant week but we opted for à la carte and ordered from the appetizer and sandwich sections. I opted for the Blacked Chicken Quesadillas. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and complicated all the other normal quesadilla ingredients. We shared the perfectly GBD fried cauliflower and opted for the buffalo sauce. Great choice. Don't judge a book by its cover. Judging from the name, I figured that this place must be a 24-hour Greek diner. I love those kinds of joints, but this place was in an entirely different league. Best restaurant in downtown Bethlehem, hands down. The menu was a bit eclectic, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely delicious. My wife and I both had entree salads for lunch--watermelon and feta for her; Mediterranean with hummus and grilled chicken for me. Both were outstanding. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. And the dining room--filled with interesting pieces of art--felt upscale without being too stuffy. On a Saturday night on the first weekend in February, my girlfriend and I visited Apollo Grill for the first time -- finally! We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. A show of Illusion at Wind Creek brought us to Bethlehem- But truly Apollo Grill brought the most magic to our evening!! A perfect dinner. Highlights galore. (I LOVE writing these reviews!) My husband and I arrived for our 5:30pm reservation and Apollo was packed. We waited in the entryway for about 10 minutes & were seated in the back of the restaurant, catty corner to the bar. The restaurant is lively, quirky art on the walls for sale. While small, the restaurant did not feel crowded when seated. The amount of tables and arrangements were placed perfectly. We were promptly greeted by our server. We were told immediately the kitchen was a tad slow so we were given flatbreads and butter. Love this transparency. No questions, no wonders, just thoughtfulness. And that thoughtfulness is why this next paragraph is dedicated to our server, Trey. Trey, my Dear, you deserve to be head of staff. One of THE BEST services in any restaurant we have ever had!! Kind, courteous, prompt and helpful. You had us always in eyeshot. The whole time we went without waiting or wanting. You brought this to every patron, we saw it. This dining experience was made best by you. Kudos Trey!!! (Back to just as worthy of compliment- the food and drink!) Smooth pesto- basil & parm, no bitter. Course #1, a success. To entrees- My husband went casual on the Apollo Burger. With their gracious sub of aged cheddar from Swiss cheese. Burger did not Moo as he like, but was cooked a fair mid-rare. He enjoyed it! More beautiful were the Sweet Potato Fries aside. These were hand cut. These were REAL sweet potato fries. Either the freshest potatoes or the best recipe ever. Either way- please give me the secret???!!! These were so Real and Unreal! I ordered the Crab Cake dinner. It sang. ......Lemon!! (Singing voice, lolol) Besides the cook being perfect on the potatoes and green beans, there was a harmonization of lemon flavor throughout the plate. Beans were snappy, potatoes roasty and smooth. The crab cake, very good. Packed with herbs and accenting flavors to the crab. I am more of a crab purist- lumps only. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a table outside. They did have umbrellas up as well so that helped with the sun. I thought that I wrote down our server's name to recoginze her, but I can't find it anywhere. We chose to have dinner here between escape rooms (Captured LV) and we are so glad that we did. They have a great variety of food on the menu and we chose to share some of the appetizers. We had the burrata (there is no pictures since the kids ate it all before I could get one so you know it was good). I got a picture of the beef carpaccio (we had 2 of those). We all shared the truffle risotto which was really good and had a great truffle flavor. We also did the shrimp lemonciello which had perfectly cooked shrimp and the sause was sweet and garlic. The menu offers soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, dinner entrees, and an array of mouthwatering appetizers. On my latest visit, my friend and I shared two appetizers and two sandwiches. We started with the truffled scallops and fried calamari. The calamari wasn't fried long enough, but the scallops were delicious. They were pan seared and accompanied by truffle cream sauce, roasted mushrooms, arugula, and pomegranate seeds. The sandwiches we split were the short rib melt and buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. We enjoyed them both. The short rib comes with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli, and arugula. The fried chicken sandwich comes with BBQ sauce, coleslaw, and pickled red onion. All sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle. Service was excellent. We were greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we walked through the door, and our server Georgia was personable and accommodating. Apollo has indoor and outdoor seating. Great find and 5 stars. Second time out to Easton Pennsylvania. This restaurant was highly recommended and it met expectation. Our server Adrienne was AWESOME! very personable, made great recommendations and did not rush us. Actually all of the staff we interacted with and observed interactions with other customers were really friendly. The restaurant is extremely well run, they are constantly cleaning, vacuuming under the tables, and sanitizing the tables. We started with the scallop appetizer, lump crabmeat mac n cheese, and a special tomato based bean and chic pea soup. For mains we had three of the lunch specials. The ahi Tuna with rice and grilled asparagus, the salmon with citrus lime rice and also had grilled asparagus. We also had the grilled beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes. All of the food was exceptional. Great taste, well presented and the perfect temperature. For desert we had the Mexican chocolate and peanut butter cake, soft center chocolate cake and the cheesecake special with a creme brûlée topping. The deserts were great as well. They have al it of assorted art paintings that I believe most of that are for sale. (See my photos). The restaurant is busy and very popular. Last night my wife and I visited the Apollo grill for the first time celebrating our 32nd wedding Anniversary traveling 1 hour. The atmosphere was very nice, our server was engaging , and the featured entrees had great flavor. Unfortunately we both ordered the highly recommended oysters for our appetizers. $23.00/6 x 2 When served they were essentially oyster skins with no substance. We mentioned this to our server who agreed that this batch was unusually very small. We made mention of our disappointment to the hostess at our departure. She was kind enough to remove 1 order from our final bill which still left us paying $23.00/0 oysters.. If the product is not consistent with advertised expectations, apologize for this inconvenience and remove from current availability. I asked her what her name was and I was surprised that she also asked and it was so sweet of her to address us by our names for the rest of the evening. I absolutely loved my Linguine with White Clam Sauce. It had little chunks of tomatoes and that made it even tastier. The only thing we didn't fancy was their soup flight. The concept is cool but the execution didn't work. Presentation-wise it came in these ramekins that made the soup look like sauces. Other than that I highly recommend this place. Reservations are a must, it was packed on a Wednesday night. The entire restaurant is decorated with murals with musical artists by a local painter. I hadn't been here for dinner in a few years and I remembered I really liked it here so I decided to return. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. We were seated in a nice table and our waitress brought water and took our drink order. She brought our drinks, which were nicely crafted, and I ordered some crab & asparagus soup. The soup was tasty, but could have been hotter. I then ordered some Ahi tuna for my entree. The waitress removed my soup bowl and the bread plates that were on table. I asked her if there was any bread and she told me no. I told her I was surprised. Why do you have bread plates on the table if you don't have bread? Made no sense? This is not the style of this restaurant or something that Apollo should be investing in I ate the whole pickle and more chips then I did the sandwich. Disappointing honestly. Desert hot coco creme brûlée not much to say it taste just like hot chocolate.... Waitress Georgia is very nice professional and gave me most popular requests so I appreciate it she was very helpful 5/5 for her I'd come back definitely but not knowing that this restaurant is consistent throughout the whole menu scares me I could get something I don't like and will be really disappointed with. Atmosphere was very uninviting as a solo diner My first time there I had no idea what to order. I decided to try the roasted shrimp cocktail with old seasoning with a side of horseradish and cocktail sauce, which kind made no sense since cocktail sauce already has horse radish in it. Upon taking two bites of one of the shrimp, i had bad indigestion, and heartburn because the shrimp was highly over seasoned. I immediately did not eat anymore. I had a Caesar salad which was of my liking , the dressing had a good taste and the croutons were made in house and light and crispy. Apollo Grill has been one of the best dining experiences I've had since moving to Bethlehem earlier this year. It was one of the first places I visited and it immediately set the bar high. I've gone back several times and each meal has been just as phenomenal. The service is warm, kind, and attentive, and the food and drinks are consistently top-notch. This was another yelp find and we were really happy with our experience. The food was really good overall, the service was very friendly and personable and we really enjoyed our visit. My husband wanted to order a soup and was chatting with the waitress about the options. He was thinking of the cream of potato but upon the waitress' and a fellow nearby diner's recommendation switched to the french onion and was very pleased. I also was blown away, I don't generally enjoy french onion soup, except for the cheese, but this was delicious. I don't usually love the soggy bread but they must use a thick fresh crusty slice because it had a slight crunch to it and was tasty. The cheese as always was delicious and the broth was thick and full of onions. It really was the best i've tasted. My husband and I chose to share 2 sandwiches. He ordered the spare rib sandwich and I the brisket. The spare rib was noticably the better of the 2, melt in your mouth meat, and good flavor on a perfectly toasted slice of bread. The brisket was good, and had good flavoring, unfortunately it was very fatty which ruined it a bit. We were there for an early dinner and unfortunately there dinner menu items weren't available, but we heard good things from nearby customers about their seafood and dinner options. From the gentleman helping with an early reservation to our server who was amazingly helpful when describing the menu items, we enjoyed the experience immensely. We were only visiting Bethlehem for a couple days and Apollo was highly recommended. We ordered the burrata and risotto appetizers which launched a fantastic meal. The risotto was my favorite. I could have had a barrel of the mushroom risotto and still ask for more. The red pepper and burrata was also very nice. I ordered the veal medallions and was pleased with the dish. The potatoes and green beans worked well with the flavor of the sauce and I was lucky to get a few bites before I had to trade main courses with my significant other. She ordered the short ribs and they lived up to their name by falling short. It was more of a dry pot roast that had been forgotten in the slow cooker overnight. Had more of the gravy been added, it may have made up for the miss. I regret not ordering the fish special which sounded amazing. We ordered the molten chocolate cake for dessert. It was good, not great. It satisfied the sweet tooth. If you are visiting Lehigh Valley, I recommend getting a reservation well before your trip as we discovered most tables are full unless you want to dine very early or very late. Enjoy! read more

Passing thru Bethlehem on our way somewhere else and stopped here for lunch. My wife had been here once before. Downtown Bethlehem is actually a really cool little town. I definitely recommend coming here to stroll the small shops and stores and grabbing a bite while here. The ambiance at the Apollo is modern and casual but super inviting. Especially the bar. Great vibe. Menu was unique and very creative. It was only one page but a great great selection of offerings. One of those menus where every item I perused I said " Ooo I want that". Toughest part was deciding what to get. Speaking of creative, they rolled out a fall martini flight . 3 small martinis hanging from a martini glass tree. We didn't get it but major props for creativity. I got the Thai chicken wrap. Very good. We had beef carpaccio appie. Wings. Everything was really really good. The food here is obviously plus plus so I won't go on about it. The staff was up beat, friendly and high energy. The staff enjoyed working here and you could tell as good vibes permeated the atmosphere. I can't wait to come back for dinner. Although I'm not the biggest fan of American food, we were in the area so decided to check out Apollo Grill. The lump crab macaroni & cheese and the calamari were delicious! The cavatelli pasta was also top tier! I would suggest you steer clear of the Clams Casino (weird taste to them) and the Apollo Burger. The goat cheese on the burger was not the best and it just wasn't anything special. I only ate 1/3 of it. We've been coming here periodically over the past 20 years and over the past year I've been more and more disappointed in the food. Service was very good. read more
