The elite bowl and bros bowls are great alternative to chicken, rice and beans alone. The regular salsa is so good and a great addition to all the meals. The green salsa has a kick but is flavorful and the red salsa is fire. Rice here is perfect every time. The bean are a good compliment to them and the potato salad is good, the beat I've ever had. I've been coming to this location since 2020, and it has always been one of my go-to spots when I'm craving chicken. That's exactly why it's disappointing to say that over the last year or so, I've noticed a decline in consistency, especially as the prices have continued to increase. The biggest issue is that ordering the chicken has become a bit of a gamble. On a good day, it's incredibly flavorful, juicy, and exactly what keeps me coming back. Unfortunately, there have been just as many visits where the chicken has been dry, overcooked, and lacking quality. The sides are another highlight when they're fresh! They're full of flavor and pair perfectly with the meal. But, much like the chicken, consistency seems to be the challenge. Sometimes everything tastes like it was just made, while other times it feels like it's been sitting for a while. I understand that every restaurant has off days, but when prices continue to climb, customers naturally expect the quality to remain consistent. I know what this restaurant is capable of because I've experienced it at its best for years, and that's why I'm hopeful they'll get back to the quality that made me a regular in the first place. I missed eating Juan Pollo when I loved down the hill so when I saw this spot I got surper excited because it looked just like Juan pollo. The food is honestly super close in taste if not better. The cotija cheese topping is very flavorful. I always get the hot Pico de Gallo salsa since you get a choice of hot or mild. Their hot salsa has a nice mild kick and is not overly spicy. The attention to detail and the size of the sides has gone down. They are now serving coleslaw(packaged coleslaw from Costco). My chicken had feathers on it still and I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. My mini order came with 1 chicken, 3 medium sides, tortillas, 1 salsa. I also ordered a half chicken. I was in disbelief when they handed me a small 4oz container as a medium. They said 2 small containers equals a large for my beans. I had the hugest chuckle $41 and change for feathers, dry chicken, and 5 flour tortillas. This place is a joke. Go to El Pollo Loco instead. I get Pollo Bros zero stars I ordered two orders of chicken shredded nachos. The chicken was so dry it tasted like it was a week old you couldn't even chew it. It tasted like a refrigerator like it was opened and stored in the refrigerator with no lid the chicken was so hard we threw the nachos in the trash and I have yet to hear from the manager. The newly remodeled restaurant gives more space for family's to enjoy more seating. A lot cleaner and the staff was incredibly nice. Family of 4 ate for around $60 with dessert and 4 large drinks, not too bad and we had a ton to bring home. I have been to the location on Main Street in Hesperia. Not the same as this one. By far. Customer service is lacking. And for some odd reason food is just not the same here. They need to train employees like they do on Main St. There was a bunch of little bones in my Elote Bowl. And I had not experienced this before and food just lacked flavor. My tortillas were cold by the time I sat down and began to eat. Pretty dissatisfied with how expensive it is. I don't frequent this place often but when I do I will go to the one on Main in Hesperia.
