I'm updating my review from one star to four stars. Apollo has now contacted us and has worked on our house for the last two days to make everything right. Everything works great now and they assured me the workmanship is covered under warranty and to call if we have even the smallest issue with our water pressure. We are happy that they made things right. ************** DO NOT USE APOLLO! If you want to know why, keep reading - I didn't want to write this and was waiting to hear back from Apollo but the Project Manager has not gotten back to me about what is covered under warranty without being on the "friends and family" plan, the Plumbing Manager will not respond to my emails requesting assistance, and I was also told his manager would contact me, but I still have not been contacted. Our hot water pressure dropped significantly in early October. Apollo came out to take a look and provide options. I was emailed 3 quotes - 1) Re-pipe hot water lines; 2) Re-pipe hot and cold water line;s 3) Full re-pipe of all water lines including behind drywall. I was told the most significant improvement would be for the full re-pipe, of course. We agreed to the estimate and we scheduled a start date of October 28th. I was told the project would take three days (ending on October 30th) and then a city inspector would come out since permits had to be pulled. A team of two people came out the first day and cut a bunch of drywall and left by 3pm. On day two, I got a call saying due to illness a job had to be moved around and they did not have anyone who could work on our house that day so that the job would not be wrapped up until October 31st. Workers came and worked on the 30th. On the 31st, some workers came for a while, and then all left in the mid afternoon with the exception of one plumber. I had to cancel my Halloween plans because he was doing work at our house until 10:30pm. The next day he came back and worked in our crawl space until 12:30am (!!!). So they had a plumber (who lived an hour drive away) working at our house for 14 hours one day, and 15-16 hours the following day. In our crawl space, by himself - how is that safe or normal? The project was not finished until the following Tuesday (Nov 5th), after 7:30pm (again requiring me to cancel election night plans that I had). The plumber stained our garage floor with some white milky substance and left dirt everywhere. In the middle of all this, I was calling around for drywall repair quotes, and also got a quote from Apollo's person as he had already repaired a damaged bathroom floor and did a good job. I was then contacted by Apollo who said that the city inspector would not be coming until November 19th and that the drywall could not be repaired until after he came. I understand that Apollo has no control over the city inspector's schedule but in my opinion they should have arranged for the inspection based on when they expected to finish the job. This timeline was never explained to me. The city inspector came on November 19th - the plumbing job failed the inspection. I asked the inspector if the drywall repair could get started - he said absolutely it could be repaired, and that the needed fixes could be made from the crawl space. That was good because I had agreed to Apollo's drywall quote and he was on the schedule for November 20th. Knowing of the scheduling issues we had been having, I called on the 19th to make sure he was still scheduled to come out on the 20th and the person who answered checked the schedule and said yes he was. I waited and waited on the 20th (I had changed some of my own appointments around to be home) and he never showed up. So I finally called and the scheduler told me that she had called the day before to leave a message that he wouldn't be coming out (there was no phone call from Apollo regarding this). She then explained that he would come out Thursday and Friday and into the following week. I explained I couldn't be home on Friday and that I didn't like workers there because nobody had been paying close attention to doors, and that we have a sick cat that cannot be let outside. I had taken Friday off work to take care of a bunch of appointments and definitely could not be home. She assured me that I didn't need to worry and that nobody would let our cat out. I came home Friday afternoon after being gone all day, to find our sick cat outside, in our backyard. Apparently, they didn't relay the "don't let the cat out" message to the electrician (the election had to come by because that was part of the failed inspection). In addition to the above, I have been told three different things about the delay: And now, after all this, our water pressure is not where it was before the initial "issue" in early October which prompted me to contact Apollo in the first place. read more

My first experience with a flooded kitchen lead to my first encounter with Apollo Drain & Rooter service. It was a mid-week emergency call later in the day, and initially they couldn't get anyone out that same day. An hour or so after reluctantly scheduling for the following day, a rep from Apollo (I believe her name was Shauna) called me back and said she was stressing over it during her whole lunch break because she knew it was an emergency. Somehow she was able to pull some strings and move some stuff around in order to get a technician out to me that evening, and they didn't even charge me the after hours price. The technician, Tyler, showed up exactly on schedule about an hour later and was very professional and straightforward about the the cause of our problem, and was able to explain how to prevent it from happening in the future. He fixed up the leak, and pulled out a baby spoon from the garbage disposal that had been stopping up everything we put down it. I thanked him many times over for coming out after hours, and come to find out...the people who were trying to schedule me earlier, collectively offered to buy him breakfast the next day if he came out to my place that evening to address my flood situation. I am an apartment manager for a large complex in the metro area. We typically use another plumbing service for after hours and weekend plumbing calls. Friday night, a tenant's bathtub and kitchen sink was not draining, and the regular plumber's answering service was unavailable. I called Apollo and their dispatch picked up right away. Apollo sent their on call plumber Todd. It took less than an hour after I placed the call to resolve the issue. The best part was that the invoice was one third of what our regular plumber charges after hours. Then on Sunday, we had an even larger issue with some flooding due to a back up. (When will people learn that feminine hygiene products and baby wipes are not flushable?) This time I called Apollo without hesitation. Lonny was sent over. He was polite courteous, and quick. He offered suggestions for prevention and included pricing; he stressed that the prevention is much cheaper than weekend emergency calls. Just like Friday night, the invoice was remarkably lower than our regular plumbing service. This morning I received a phone call from Apollo's office following up to make sure all of our issues were taken care of. I could NOT be happier with the service I have received this far from Apollo Drain! I needed to have some pipes scoped before buying new toilets so I called Apollo based on their excellent reviews. I spoke with Abby who was awesome and provided excellent service setting up my account. She was wonderfully kind, professional, knowledgeable, and patiently answered every question I had. The techs were scheduled to come out two days after the phone call (wow so fast!) at 8am. The techs arrived promptly this morning wearing appropriate PPE and we incredibly professional and kind. They answered all of my questions before they began working, made sure I was aware of the expected cost, and then started working. When they finished scoping they showed me where they scoped, and informed me a film would be provided with my invoice. We were wrapping up when the tech mentioned that, since we are getting new toilets, Apollo could order and install the toilets for me. I was pleasantly surprised they could offer so many services so I asked to have a rep follow up with me with a bid. I'm expecting a call from them today or tomorrow and I received my finalized paperwork and invoice within an hour of the techs leaving. All around it was such a pleasant experience and I will be recommending Apollo to anyone who asks. read more

I had a great experience with Apollo Drain! They setup convenient plumbing appointments for me and communicated the changes in plans very well. Victor, the plumber from Apollo who worked with me, examined every repair site carefully and explained what the problem was in clear understandable terms to me. He did a thorough job on all repairs (repaired kitchen sink plumbing, installed a high loop for the dishwasher and changed an old faucet on a pedestal sink). After every repair, Victor was very particular to test and make sure that the repaired site functions as expected and does not leak. We had no problems at all since the plumbing repairs. Victor also installed a new hose bibb for us. Again, he evaluated the site carefully and performed all the measurements before proceeding with the installation. He showed me exactly where he is going to install the new hose bibb and explained how it would hook up into the water pipe in the crawlspace. He then proceeded with the installation exactly as he had described, hooking up new PEX pipes into the existing pipes in the crawlspace and then to the new hose bibb. He then explained to me how the entire setup works and how to properly winterize it. I've been using the new hose bibb for about a week now and have had no problems with it. read more

I had a clogged kitchen sink and it was a mess. Being elderly easy to say hiring a contractor who you can trust is extremely nerve-wracking. I decided to go with Apollo drain. My daughter contacted them and scheduled with no problem. Then the magic happened Mr. Tyler males showed up right on time, wearing his mask. I directed him to the sink. And he quickly came up with a game plan asking me questions and explaining everything. He left the options in my hands which kept the bill in my hands. He cleanly, efficiently cleaned my line. Thats not the amazing part during the process we were talking about my broken leg and how my dog hasn't gone for a walk in a couple of weeks. He then told me he had some time left and he could take her for a walk around the block. I couldn't believe it. When they got back I tried to tip him a pretty hefty tip. I really didn't give him an option or I thought. The next day on my fridge I saw a note with the whole tip. The note read "do something fun for yourself when your leg is better!" Theresa's review..... Thank you Cameron Coop ! OMGOSH I couldn't believe how wonderful Cameron was. Its so nice to see a friendly masked up face in such a timely manner during this terrible time ! I am not only speaking of our year of 2020 and all the terrible things surrounding it, I am speaking also of the terrible time we were having with our clog ! It was a NIGHTMARE in real life happening... and Cameron showed up with his warm masked smile and his shoe covers and everything he needed to do his work and do it safely and "pandemic safe" and woke me up from that nightmare !! Just wanted to give a big shout out to Apollo Drain & Rooter Service, Inc., and their drain specialist Tyler, for their fast and professional service! THANK YOU! So...TWICE this week we've had Apollo Drain & Rooter Service out to our house -- Monday it was a blockage in the main pipe that drains both the kitchen sink and laundry deep sink....THEN on Friday, the basement shower line decided to spontaneously back up. (Both problems totally unrelated to each other - what are the odds?!) Both times we called early in the morning and were scheduled for service the same day. We were given a 4 hr window, then later received a courtesy call from the drain tech to ask if we were at home and to say he would be arriving in 10-15 minutes. Tyler/Apollo Drain & Rooter Service did a wonderful job clearing both drains. He then cleaned up the area afterwards and took the time to answer all my questions before he left. I was recommended to Apollo by my realtor after we experienced some plumbing issues and weren't happy with the service we received from another well known plumbing business. Long story short, we were told that we needed to tear into the concrete foundation of our new to us home to replace the main sewage line which would include removing the flooring and several other expensive steps. I contacted Apollo for a second opinion and Apollo was professional and contacted me right away to schedule an appointment. Drain tech Cameron Cooper arrived as scheduled and completed the assessment and scope of our line and informed me that we would be a perfect candidate for the CIPP lining service that Apollo offers, which would not require excavation on the inside of our home. Highly recommend this company for commercial use. Their techs are very accommodating, and the way they run their business is service oriented. Even the Owner is nice... what are the odds! I think you can tell more about a business when you have an issue. My first experience had some frustrations and I was very impressed how it was handled. The Owner, Scott, immediately called me and his first concern was about me, the customer. We resolved it quickly and left on very good terms. So much so, I invited him & his wife out for Dinner at my Restaurant. (Still waiting for him to visit!) Since it was resolved quickly, when I had the main water line break to my restaurant, we called Apollo. It was fixed quickly with his Team- Keith did a great job & stayed in communication with me during the entire process. They got us back up & running before the Lunch hour and did a very professional job to ensure that everything got put back to normal, even the patch in the parking lot. Top notch all the way! We had a clogged greywater pipe that was backing up everytime we did laundry. We tried to fix it ourselves with liquid drain cleaners and a drain snake. No go. We contacted Apollo and they were very courteous to us, setting up a time and letting us know the tech would call us 30 minutes before he arrived. When he called, Jerry, told me he could be there in just 10 minutes, since he was so close by. Apollo sent me texts to inform me of the extra precautions they would be taking because of Covid-19, and they even included a picture of Jerry the technician. This was very comforting to me, and I felt in good hands. Because our older house has a frankenstein network of weird pipe fixes, Jerry was not able to use his first plan of attack, and had to improvise slightly to remedy the problem. He fixed it in no time flat! All while being warm and kind. My uncle ran his own mechanic shop for 40 years. He was the best mechanic in Portland, and no one was more honest, kind, or knowledgable. My 20+ yr old HWH began leaking water from it's top on Saturday I began sopping it up with household towels and called Apollo. The soonest promised help would arrive was Wednesday. YIKES, I restated my emergency and was given a glimmer of hope when Monday was offered. A neighbor helped me turn off the electricity and water to the HWH but it did not stop the water from flowing. I stayed up two nights used every towel in the house multiple times, collecting the water that increasingly continued to seep from the HWH. When the Apollo truck pulled up and Rob's face appeared at my door mid-afternoon Monday I was giddy with exhaustion and relief. He assessed the HWH valve and tank needed replacement. Three hours later working steadily, he had single-handedly wrestled in/out the HWHs replaced the faulty valve, exchanged flexible pipes and thoroughly checked and re-checked, connections, fittings and a myriad of things I could not keep track of. Apollo did great work for us on a Sunday! We had flooding in a downstairs bathroom and were unable to diagnose whether we had a water leak or sewage back up. Ben (a plumber) arrived on schedule and quickly determined that we had a blockage and sent for Lonny (a drain technician). Lonny unclogged the main line very quickly, so I had him unclog a separate downspout line too. He suggested use of the camera to make certain there were not any problems, but the drain was working with all the water in the house running, so I declined. (Plumbing on Sunday is not inexpensive no matter you use, so I thought I would save a few dollars.--Not my best call.) We had a clog again the next morning. Lonny came out first thing, and scoped our whole line. He found the roots with the camera right away and found some other issues too. He used the high-pressure hose to remove the roots. We are very pleased with the results. We will use Apollo again when we deal with the other issues. read more

I was having a problem with water from my gutter system not draining out to the street drain. A friend of mine recommended Apollo Drain for the service. I was given a four hour time window and that the technician would give me a call when they were a half-hour out. Tyler M. contacted me and arrived within 25 minutes. He was very Covid-19 conscience and followed all the current recommended guidelines. After running his pressure hose through the drain opening at the street it was apparent that there was a blockage in the drain pipe. From the color of the water coming out there definitely appeared to be a break in the drain pipe. Upon using his camera system he was able to confirm that there was a break in the drain pipe, and was able to locate where it was. I am now waiting for a bid for replacing the broken section of pipe. I just had the most amazing service call experience I have ever encountered with a home repair company (and I live in an older home so I have had several lately)! This morning we discovered we had a massive leak under our kitchen sink. We have an infant and so not being able to use the kitchen would have made matters especially challenging. I called Apollo and their customer service representative was so sweet that she was able to rearrange the schedule so I could get a same day appointment! Not only that, my service man Justus called within a half an hour of my initial call to let me know he was on his way. He was friendly, professional, knew exactly how to fix the problem not to mention very COVID conscious which I very much appreciated. Justus had my sink fixed in no time. We have hired Apollo Drain and Rooter Service several times for plumbing issues in our nearly 100 year old house. Every time they have been timely, extremely pleasant when scheduling and have often gone above and beyond what was expected or, as in our most recent repair this week, made a rather complicated situation go as smoothly as possible. The customer service has been impeccable and the workmanship outstanding. Each step of the process was explained to us and clean up was thorough. The final invoice included several photos of the work and the professionalism from the techs to the plumbers was perfect. This last job did have a bit of a misdiagnosis but it was dealt with swiftly and in the best possible manner to get the necessary repair done in a timely manner. I heard about Apollo through a neighbor friend. I'm a fairly handy person, but no amount of effort on my part could get two "back-to-back" bathtubs to drain properly. I've never called a plumbing service before and having heard how expensive they can be, I was a little hesitant about it. Well, there's no regrets here whatsoever. "Ray" showed up within 20 minutes, after I received the courtesy call from the dispatcher telling me he was on his way. Ray did an excellent job with attacking the problem efficiently ...and effectively. He also took the time to explain what had been going on with the drains and gave practical advice on how to prevent similar problems in the future. It goes without saying, I'm hoping not to need a plumbing service anytime down the road, but if I do, there's now a new magnet on my refrigerator reminding me who to call. read more

Devin P was my guy on a cold rainy Sunday night. My residential care facility has 6 special residents who had to deal with a clog and backflow chaos. I called the famous rooter company and they put me on hold for 10 minutes. Called Apollo and they answered the phone and had a technician call me from Gresham, he told me he would be there within an hour and half depending on his current job. Devin showed up within and hour. We had a difficult clean out cap that took a while to get off. But after he did he unclogged my pipes within five minutes. From calling Apollo on a Sunday after hours, to my clog being fixed, less than 2 hours. All for a very reasonable price including the after hours fee. They take credit cards on site with an iPhone. I came home from vacation with a busted pipe underneath my house. Called the office and they had a full schedule already booked out, but with no water at my house the gentlemen I spoke with on the phone took the time to talk with the dispatcher to see if they could come to my house the same day and they did. They were professional, caring and kept me in the loop to when the plumber will be arriving at my house. I was the last stop of the day and I know the plumber had been working all day, but he was so professional and got the job done. He even asked me after he fixed the pipe if I had any other plumbing needs, which I am sure he was tired but willing. Such great service by everyone at Apollo.
