Their quote came in the lowest and Brandon was extremely helpful on the phone, so I ended up choosing them. - The quote process was great: I submitted their online form, they gave me a call asking for more details, I sent them a few pictures, and they gave me another call with solutions and a quote. The quote also happened to be the cheapest of the 3 companies I got bids from. - The installation went very smoothly. I understand that direct vent water heaters are a little tricky to install, but Brandon installed perfectly. He arrived on time, got rid of our old water heater, and added a new water heater with several fixes: the overflow pipe now runs to the sink, he used a "flex vent" kit so the water heater can sit on the ground, and he put the water heater in a tray to reduce issues from slow leaks since I don't have a basement drain. - After the install, Brandon taught me how to change the temp / turn the water heater off / how to flush it / how to change the anode rod. Very pleased with the work and my new water heater is working flawlessly. The only downside was that there was no permit. I'm no expert on permits. Portland's website says that water heater changes require a permit. Brandon said it's a "gray area" for residential. I am not planning on selling the house and things looked good to me, so I don't mind too much.

Someone got back to me right away, and scheduling was a fast. I originally called them out to service my water heater and potentially upgrade the heating elements. They were incredibly quick with the service, but what really blew me away was their honesty. Instead of just replacing the elements and charging me for it, they let me know they were completely fine and just needed a quick temperature adjustment. I was able to return the parts I had already purchased for a refund. They also noted that while my unit is in great shape right now, it is getting a bit older. They took the time to educate me on what to keep an eye on and walked me through my best options for a future replacement when the time comes. Amazing service, fair pricing, and incredibly helpful professionals. I'll definitely use them again in the future.

Also, we had to pay the full fee even though our hot water heater is less than a year and a half old. When I spoke with the manager he stated that because they did not install our hot water heater, our service was not a priority. We were also told that because it was so new we needed to go through this company buy this is not true. The warranty people stated any any repair man will do as long as they call them at the time of repair. If you are looking for a reliable company. I would not recommend this company.

The pipes were very old, there were several leaks, and the water pressure was non-existent. Hired by my neighbor Mary H. (landlord), she asked that I share her experience with this company. She has great water pressure now, and she swears that the water somehow tastes alot better. I really like some of the new features of the fixtures like an outside water spigot that you can shut off from inside the garage. No one can come up and just use it or leave it on. My landlord waited a full billing cycle- her water bill is down by $200! She appreciated that the team was professional and got the job done in a timely matter. For me, I'm super happy that the toliet is no longer running. I also had major surgery and was recovering at home. So I really appreciated that the team lead was thoughtful about that. I recently had the pleasure of reaching out to Simpson Plumbing in Vancouver. I had kind of an odd…read morerequest when I reached out to them for an estimate to replace a water heater. I had just had a full plumbing inspection from another company and knew exactly what was needed, but I felt the price the other company was quoting seemed a little high. So I decided to reach out to 5 other companies (Simpson being one of those). I knew I did not want to make 5 more appts for plumbers to come out and spend 30 minutes to 1 hour+ assessing the water heater. I just wanted a general idea of what these companies charge to replace our water heater and I would do an actual in-home visit when I chose one to move forward with. I did send pictures of our current set up and our current water heater brand, model, BTUs, home usage info, etc, so it wasn't a completely blind estimate request. Simpson's price was pretty much in line with the others, but overall lower than the majority and they beat the original company's estimate even if I added in signing up for Simpson's annual membership plan. But where I really felt Simpson Plumbing shined was in my interactions with Denise and Adam. Denise especially, as she was the person that answered my initial request and remained my main contact for my interactions with Simpson Plumbing. She was super nice and accommodating. Adam was the person that wrote up the estimate and it was probably the most detailed one that I received. I had a few others that just mentioned "Basic Water Heater Install"...no model number, no mention of whether the expansion tank was included, etc. Even though I did choose another company for this particular job, I can say I would not hesitate to hire Simpson Plumbing in the future. I have even added them to my contact list already. We all know plumbing issues come up with home ownership so it is good to know which companies stand out, especially where Customer Service is concerned.

After getting some bids, we hired Precision. They were friendly and professional as they installed a new Rheem furnace at a good price. Their expert work relieved our stress, and we haven't had to worry about our furnace ever since. But the condensate pump is older and it recently malfunctioned. It wouldn't stop pumping after the trough was empty. I finally flipped the breaker to prevent it from overheating. Again, it was stressful because we were heading out of town and we wanted our cat to have A/C but we didn't want to leave the the pump connected if it might overheat. I disconnected the power supply to the pump and made an appointment with Precision. Today Moses came to diagnose the pump issue and do a tune-up of the furnace as well as the older A/C unit outside. He explained everything he found in a friendly and coherent manner. The pump seems to be ok although he explained how we could install a better one that will turn off the furnace if the alarm on the pump went off. I decided to keep an eye on the old pump and vinyl drain tube for now. Since we have only relied on Precision to service our furnace and A/C, and since there are upgrades we can potentially hire them to do in the near future, I opted to sign up for their Preventative Service Plan. It gave us discounts on the tune-ups Moses did today and the new capacitor he installed on the A/C. And with the membership we'll get discounts on anything Precision does for us over the next 12 months. We're sticking with Precision because they always provide excellent customer service.

To be fair, the situation Mike was put in was a difficult one, which he should have ultimately walked away from. That would have been way more reasonable than what he did. There was a conflict in scheduling (Not Mike's fault) that had concrete pourers onsite before Mike arrived, and the spot he was supposed to place plumbing was already covered with concrete. When Mike discovered this, he simply had the concrete crew form out an opening for his plumbing work, but in the wrong spot altogether. While our directions for the plumbing were not exact, down to the inch, he instructed the concrete crew to put it on the opposite end of the pole barn. He did this without confirming with me. To cover the errant hole will cost $1,400. I originally offered to cover that cost if Mike would simply cover labor to cut out the concrete to lay the pipe. He declined that and ultimately said he refused to work on the project any further and would not take any accountability or work at all on a resolution. Terribly unprofessional and just gross. Stay away.
