What a gem! Casia Lodge is set in one of the most beautiful valleys in the country, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and views that go on for miles. Every detail, from the gorgeous rooms to the attentive service, made our stay memorable. A true highlight was the food. It was exceptional - beautifully presented, and incredibly fresh. We scheduled a private cooking class with the head chef. Lucky us to see how he works his magic in the kitchen. We rented bikes from a local store and got to ride around the valley. Check the website for their rotating menu. Expect crafty dishes using meh ingredients turning them into interesting and tasty eats. "Oh, I noticed you walking around for a while. Can I help you?" I have some mixed reviews on this location; however, I would stay again to get a better feel an experience. Upon entering the property everything was very well labeled, and you were able to easily find the hotel by following the signed on the road. You passed the stables before getting to the main building. All animals are happy, healthy, and very friendly. Upon walking into the hotel, the front desk was not super well labeled, and I found no one to talk to. I had wandered the property for about 20 minutes before coming back to the lobby and someone finally stopped me with the quote above. I had noticed her actively watching me throughout my search for help, but I was only stopped once I came back to the front. To get checked in we had to find a second person, and he walked us around the property showing us all the different amenities and how to access them. After that we explored on our own and spent most of our time on the back deck of our room. The room we stayed in was very clean and welcoming. Our back deck had an amazing view of the valley and mountains beyond. Overall, I would come back, as the food and hotel amenities are amazing. This is also a good spot to stay if you are planning to do some bigger hiking trails on that side of the North Cascades. read more

We recently tried the Happy Hour in the English pub at Casia lodge. Wonderful experience all around. Very Gluten-Free friendly!!! The truffle fries and baked cauliflower shareable plates were sooooo delicious. The Washington Wagyu cheeseburger and the rib sandwich were next level. And the HH prices were very reasonable. Hazel our server was 100% professional, quick, and answered many our our questions about Casia Lodge, it's origins as a homestead and the cool story about bringing the English pub features over from the UK. I don't even know how to begin describing our incredible experience at Casia Lodge!! My friends and I went there for dinner spur of the moment. We got to talking with Kevin, one of the owners, by the fire in their beautiful lobby and he ended up giving us a private tour of the place. They have so lovingly and thoughtfully restored the property, it's clear how much genuine care has gone into every detail. The food was absolutely spectacular. The chef himself came out and brought us complementary starters off menu that he had just whipped up. The wait staff was just as kind and hospitable as everyone else we met there. My friends and I are all animal lovers and when Debbie, the managing partner, heard this, she offered us a private tour of the stables. We came back the next day and she took us around to the horses, their donkey, the barn cats, the chickens and the turkeys!! Debbie works in the mental health field and incorporates animal-assisted therapy into her work with clients. She let us hug these gorgeous turkeys it was unbelievable. My friends and I couldn't get over how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I've really never experienced anything quite like it. We are already planning our next trip and can't wait to stay in the lodge (where each night they put fresh cookies outside the rooms). Let me just say we have lived in and traveled a lot of the world and this place, is bar none, the best of the best. The decor, the surroundings, the rooms and the food, prepared by a James Beard award winning chef, is honestly superb. Full bar, swimming pool, hot tub, game room, sauna, and attentive staff. Our visit to Casia was late'ish on a weekday. They host were gracious and accommodating to a fault. There was no rush and they food and drinks came out timely without being rushed. Nearly everything was perfect. Roasted Beet Salad, sumptuous; home made raviolis luxurious and accented perfectly with crisp bacon and sage leaves. Bottom line here is this restaurant did not behave like a small, off the beaten track restaurant. They had their act together! We stayed for a night and had a very quiet peaceful night In. Enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. The only downfalls were, for a very hot summers day the ac isn't very effective as it's a small window unit. We also got a lot of moths in our room when we first arrived. Spent quite a bit of the evening trying to get rid of the moths. Other than that the staff were very friendly and the room was clean. I would come back for another night. read more

Each year, I take my three adult children on a getaway, and while we usually head to the Cariboo in BC, we decided to try something different this time. Casia Lodge was, without a doubt, the nicest place we've ever stayed. We booked the one and only cabin so we could all be together. It featured two spacious bedrooms and a comfortable pull-out couch. The beds and bedding were top-notch, giving us some of the best sleep we've ever had. Waking up to the distant sound of a rooster, the songs of many birds, and the gentle babbling brook right outside our door was truly delightful. The cabin itself is an authentic log cabin with high ceilings, a massive fireplace (which, although not in use during summer, added to the cabin's charm), a fully equipped kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and even a washer and dryer. I especially loved sitting on the back deck, enjoying my morning coffee. The attention to detail was impressive, with thoughtful extras like wasp spray, a first aid kit, candles, and plenty of fun antiques. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the beautifully maintained grounds, with flowers and fruit trees surrounding the property, added to the experience. Breakfast was included, and the chef, a well-known talent from Seattle, prepared homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt, delicious honey, freshly baked pastries, and a lovely little egg dish. We also treated ourselves to dinner on our last night, and it was both amazing and creative. During our stay, we enjoyed the games room with pool and ping pong, swam in the pool, and relaxed in the hot tub. The first room we stayed in was wonderful, however the second room was a tiny dungeon-like room on the bottom floor (this second room was booked thru Expedia and we paid $533.08 for 2 nights for this awful room - we hated it so much we left a day early. Our first room was on the second floor with a great veranda and view and much larger for $396.84 for the first 2 nights (we booked directly with the lodge). Expedia/VRBO charges exhorbitant rates - it is much better to go directly to the hotel and cut out the middle company. All that said, the staff (what there was of them) was very friendly. However, the wi-fi was not secure and very sketchy. The trails they advertised in their brocure just circles the perimeter of the property and not much else. Even tho I am gluten-free and don't eat red meat and let them know that, I had very little to eat - so we dined out. They have a nice pool but we will probably not go back. read more

The lodge is magnificent in its charm, details, and expansive areas as well as its cozy corners. It was fun to explore the lodge and it's easy to find something interesting wherever you look. The staff is genuine, friendly, and eager to please. The fresh flowers, self-care bar, snack bar, and sun room are thoughtful and fun. The food was outstanding and the fresh pastries each morning are amazing. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the views from anywhere on the property are stunning. This place is fantastic! The service is exceptional and the resort is beautiful. We had the Terrace Room which is spectacular with stunning views and a bathroom is a resort all on its own. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing few days at the Lodge. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated, the pool was a welcome relief from the heat, breakfast was delicious and the views are exceptional! It is close to the recreational opportunities in the Methow Valley and local communities but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. It is a great place to respite from the busy world, and we will definitely enjoy return visits ! read more

The new ownership has done a beautiful job preparing the lodge for its upcoming opening. The service personnel are all sharp, helpful, and "on it." Baron, the chef, prepared an amazing five course family style meal for us. It was incredible. Each room had a different and interesting feel. Well appointed, great bedding, great views. The lodge was welcoming and warm and had great rustic charm. Our room was the upstairs master suite, complete with fireplace, sitting area spectacular views, well appointed bathroom. We were told that in the lodge's heyday, a number of country western stars lodged in that very room while performing at concerts on the property. We hope the new ownership brings that back to the venue. This is a beautiful country setting complete with a variety of wildlife and access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. Twisp and Winthrop are nearby and are charming, quaint, friendly mountain towns. read more
