The first thing Kalleen does when we explain the situation is take the phone to her iMac and immediately restore the phone. That didn't even take five minutes. She was back pronto still donning a smile and offering friendly service. The next issue was the non-functioning speaker. She quickly got a technician, Amanda, who was an expert in this area and equally friendly. She explained that she would have to replace the whole phone, and she did, without blinking an eye and without asking for payment, since the phone was still under warranty. We came in expecting a long line, even with an appointment, but within ten minutes we were helped and on our way. Reading the reviews gave us an expectation that we'd be waiting for hours with rude customer service, but to our surprise, we got in and out, thanks to the pleasantness and the efficiency of the ladies that saw to our needs. +1 for the excellent Wi-Fi. +/- for the technicians carrying around iPads instead of clipboards. I understand the concept, but as a writer, it felt like being in a futuristic environment where pen and paper are nonexistent. I hope it doesn't come to that. read more

Some would be "Genius" attempted to fix my iphone since I was getting duplicate emails (due to being signed into the account twice). He managed to wipe out all the contacts that I had entered into my phone for the last year or two, so that now I get text messages from random numbers with the names of the people texting me. He eventually gave up, saying he was "stumped" in trying to fix the problem. Great news since I'm in sales and it takes a lot of work to get buyers cell phone numbers. You can imagine I am not happy. Okay, an update.I figured out what was going on at that store. It's a misunderstanding of priorities or incompetence at the management level. I have to update to 2 stars because the people that actually do help you are *very* good. The people managing them are *not*. Here's how it works for buying a iPhone when there is a line. A few apple store employees can actually sell the phones and get you all hooked up. It looked to be about 4 out of the 20+ employees at the store. Someone stands at the entrance and another employee manages tickets and the line. The system looks to be well organized with all the walkie-talkies that they use, but it completely breaks when a manager is put in the loop. The gist of it is you, as an iPhone buyer, are the lowest priority for the store. If a person walks into the store and looks at a laptop, a manager will take an iPhone specialist off getting people from the queue and send them to help someone in the store. And here's the best part, since you've been waiting two hours in line you get to see this happen, over and over! Likely scenario: you've reached the front in line. You've been waiting for 2 hours. A woman walks in the store - looks at laptops and looks impatient. The manager at the door uses his radio to tell the greeter at the front of the store to take the iPhone specialist that is coming to pluck you from the line. He is stopped on his way to you and diverted to answer this woman's questions. You can actually see the disappointment on his face. Even though they have a dozen other employees who can't do iPhone, they take the iPhone specialists over and over. You are not their top priority as a customer. She waited less than 5 minutes and gets service, you are just one of the sheep who waited in line for hours for an iPhone and will just buy one anyway. read more

Why so many employees all in blue ,the guy at the door with his clip board the others walking up I must of heard "can I help you" at least 4 times while I stood there with the guy with the head phones clipboard only to be told Okay I will find someone to help you. Did not seem like the other 100 or so employees were doing much but then again I had just gotten my eyes dilated could not see that great . Maybe they were customers oh no. They should probably put in a bigger space. The store was absolutely packed, but there were plenty of people working that I didn't have to wait to get help. I have a shuffle, and I told the sales rep that I needed "a thingy that will let me change the song when I have it plugged into my car instead of listening on headphones". From that description, he pointed me to the accessory that I needed. Then I thought I would have to wait in line to check out, but no, he said he could check me out right "here". Would give zero stars if possible. Awful store with arrogant "genius" employees. It seems if I have to go this god forsaken store 10 times, I have crappy experience 9 times, and get someone great every 10th time. I dread how the geniuses school you on how difficult it is to do what you are asking them to do, today the genius spent 15 minutes explaining how complicated it is giving out a replacement phone and it can not be completed in 40 minutes ( with barely anyone else in the store and 15 "geniuses" standing around yawning and/or chit chatting with one another). So now to take another dreadful trip to accomplish this apparently extremely complicated task of taking a new phone out of a drawer and checking out. I am what I call "electronically challenged" when it comes to technology. I have never been the person anxious to own the new it phone, mostly because it takes me a year to learn how to use it properly. But today when my husband suggested we turn in our available upgrades and get the new iPhone 6 I was game. My 4 was way outdated and I was excited for all the shiny new features and finally being able to use Siri!! (quit laughing) He made an appointment online so we walked into the store with ease, until we were told appointments are not for people wanting to purchase the 6 so we were sent to the outside line with a guesstimated hour wait time. We reserved the phones in line through a store employee so that it was guaranteed we would have one. We ended up standing in line for a little over an hour and a half which to me seemed crazy. There were plenty of employees in the store I felt could have helped move it a bit faster, especially considering everyone in line had already reserved what they wanted and were not going inside to browse. But I don't work there myself so I can't speak to the order of things. When we finally did make it inside a friendly and informative employee took about 10 minutes to get our phones, and make sure the upgrades went through and all was well. After spending the entire day playing with my new phone I am in love! It has things I didn't even know I wanted in a phone such as a finger print coded touch screen for quick and secure access! Seriously, it rocks. I'm sure this store isn't near as insane when you need to come in for something basic. My husband is already talking about doing it again next year when we have more upgrades. What can I say? The Apple Store is one of those places where you walk in to pay full retail price and walk out happy. The reason why is simple. Their employees are among the best retail staff around. They're friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about their merchandise. I went by with my mom today when she decided she wanted a set of speakers to dock her iOS products into. Rob, our salesperson, was incredibly patient with us and answered her questions (as well as my attempts to translate her questions from Mom-speak into something semi-technical.) He truly made us feel as if we were the only customers in the store. Even more amazingly, after a case of buyer's remorse, we visited another store and looked at a product that Apple didn't carry in the store. After a few minutes, we realized why that product was the wrong fit and exactly why Rob steered us to the speaker/dock that he did. read more

I bought a refurbished iPhone through AT&T and had it delivered to my house. It was very quick and easy to go into this Apple store and buy the Applecare protection. I'm glad I did because said iPhone quit turning on after a few months. I made an appointment, went in, and they replaced it after trying the same reboot steps I'd already done myself. No other questions, just a replacement. A couple days later I noticed the replacement phone had a tiny spec on the screen. I made another appointment, brought it in, and got a different phone with no problem. They apologized for giving me a slightly flawed product in the first place (it just had a piece of dust under the glass). So: make the Genius Bar appointment ahead of time and it should be smooth sailing. read more

I took my iPhone in for the battery replacement. I had read the instructions on the Apple site, and also the email that they sent to me as a result of my input on the battery running down. I received an email saying the battery had arrived. I also received a phone call from this store to set up an appointment. Note: the best time is to set the appointment for the exact time they open. However, I was not able to make that time and had to reschedule for today (Saturday) which is when they are flooded with folks. However, I walked in on time, was immediately checked in, given a tag for my receipt and it said it would be about 2.5 hours. The place was packed. So off I went to get a bite to eat, and look at the stores. Of course I was immediately lost but I bid my time looking at the many stores and the many things I did not need. I finally strolled back to the Apple Store about 1/2 hour early and they said it was not ready. However, I went back to the area where they were doing the battery changes and they let me use one of their service phones to make a couple of important calls. Then this very pleasant young lady who had fetched me the phone to use, said let me check on your phone myself. She did and said it was going to be about 5 minutes. I took 4. All the while, people were scampering about and I must have been asked 10 times if I could be helped. I never had this good of service with my Droid, which I finally realized was just too vulnerable to attack, fragile, fast draining and I junked it after several virus problems coming though despite security ware. For a company known for intuitive interfaces,The in store experience sucks. I made an appointment for a repair they caused the need for. Good luck finding where to check in. Ask one person - not me. Find the person with the red iPad - oops but not THAT person with a red iPad. Follow another guy around the store for 5 minutes until he's free to talk. Yes. He's the guy. Showed up on time... waited.... asked direction and was dissed by some employee hipster: "Wassup"... then waited for someone hidden with a "blue" IPAD.... waited some more. While leaving...told the door guy we had checked in but leaving and he made us feel ridiculed or made fun of. Had a service performed on my macbook. Made an appointment before hours and the doors are cracked so you can get in. Took about 15 minutes to be seen, which I consider a bit long, but the Genius got things taken care of once I was seen. Said it would be around noon before it was ready for pickup. I figured meh gotta come back to the old mall again. Browsed around for an hour or so and got a phone call as I was about to leave saying it was ready for pickup. Easy peasy. read more

I had to use the genius bar here once back when the display on my Powerbook G4 was getting all sorts of white splotches on it. They were very friendly, accepted my computer for repair and turned it around in just a few days even with a trip out to Houston for the install. Not bad! A couple days later announced the replacement program for the very same displays, so I was probably just lucky. I've heard plenty of horror stories of what Apple would not repair for free. However, as far as computer sales and support go, I think the Apple retail stores really go the extra mile. My experience as a shopper has been pretty positive - the employees are all too happy to help and are pretty quick about getting me checked out. I'm generally not looking for info when I visit, though, so I mostly just try to avoid the employees. read more

I tend to wander into the Apple Store only when I long to see shiny objects or when I must stand in line for hours for the latest iPhone... otherwise, I just order online. I'm a fan of the products-- but not of retail shopping and even less of a fan of malls. The stores are lovely and spacious but seem to have few products per square foot. I always feel like they should have more shiny goodness than they do. It's obvious you are in a high-end store when you are six feet in front of the door. The stores appear to be designed more for mingling than for trying/evaluating products. Sure, they have lots of computers, iPods, speakers, cases and even a "pod" in the middle to entertain your kids... but because they showcase their own products, there is a lot of repetition in the main areas of the store. The stores are all well-staffed so unless a new iPhone has just come out, your wait should be a relatively short one. If a new iPhone has just released and you want something other than that, enter at your own risk. I do like that you can check out from just about anyone since they use the handheld credit card machines... nice since the stores are often busy. My one experience taking in my iMac for repair was pretty good except for the fact I had to drag the computer through the parking lot and mall... twice. I really wish they had a service where you could call and someone would run down to the car with great enthusiasm and pick up the hardware and haul it inside and ditto on the return pickup. Repairs are slow, be prepared to wait more than a week. AppleCare doesn't get you any expedited service or a helper to schlep your hardware. For the few times I've asked a technical question, I did not get the right answer so the training could be better. When compared to other retail stores they are quite good, but I think the term "genius" goes a bit too far and the "geniuses" take it too much to heart. If you are over 40, you might get some attitude. If you're a newbie computer user, they will help you and will be *mostly* patient while doing so...pay no attention to the eye-rolling. If you're a long time computer user, you will know more than they do. If you really want good help, go onto the forums, use your manners and people will bend over backwards to help solve your problem... and, with luck, you may skip the drive to the mall. If you do wander into the Apple Store, enjoy all the shiny goodies because they have more electronic eye-candy than any other place I can think of... and that's worth something for those of us that are magpies. But, like other reviewers have mentioned, if you just want to touch and buy the products, you might do just as well at Best Buy where you can park closer to the door and get help nearly as good as Apple serves up. On the other hand, if you really want the Apple experience, you will get it served up in style at the Apple Stores. read more

Terrible experience. Patiently waited for warranty service on my iPhone 13 Pro Max for some defective paint on the back. Store was disorganized, there was an employee on a mic trying to run a workshop on how to make an emoji for the whole store and no one was paying attention (what's the point of a workshop if no one is listening?) Finally got a member of the Genius Bar to look at my phone. He wasn't able to help, but said he would ask the manager Cameron I believe. Cameron the manager was equally unhelpful and suggested that the defect could have come from jet fuel? So bizarre. Instead of standing by their product they said it would be $600 to replace the back, even though the warranty was still valid. They weren't able to explain the defect in the phone and since they couldn't explain it, they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty. So strange... I wish I had read the reviews of this location before wasting my time here. Never again will I set foot at this store and I will discourage anyone to come here. Shame on Apple for allowing such poor service. read more

So disappointed I have to even give this a star. After being on hold for a phone hardware problem for 20 minutes- I decided to go to the store instead since they didn't have any available appointments online for 3 days. Yes. 3 days. Only had to wait and hour and a half in store for an appointment. Then another 15 minutes for our person to find us. Then- they decide to replace my phone and sync all my contacts. Take said replaced home to charge because it was dead (I live an hour and a half away from this store.) Low and behold. None of my contacts were synced and stored in the cloud since 2010. I am so disappointed in where this company is going and how much their customer service has deteriorated since becoming an "apple person" in 2006. Get a Samsung or ANYTHING else instead. Even if it blows up in while charging, you would actually get appropriate customer service. read more

It really makes me grind my teeth giving anything Apple 5 stars, but the staff here is wonderful! I stupidly didn't get the security gentleman's name, but I was being a total entitled Karen, who was enraged after a long day of work of having to stand in line to pick up an item I had already purchased online. This fantastic individual quelled my anger by asking about my favorite subject, me. In the less than 10 minutes I had to spend in line he calmed me from the little demonic monster brat I was being and saved his coworkers from my wrath... which honestly, they probably would have just shared hilarious stories with friends about how stupid and entitled I was, as they should. But because of this lovely human, I was my normal, jovial self again by the time I had the honor to meet Noah, the sales gentleman who kindly gave me the watch I had purchased and answered all my questions happily and fully. I am very thankful for their kindness and understanding and am completely embarrassed by my behavior. I know this is a terrible and stressful year for so many and this time of year is extra hard for those in retail. Met with genius team for a scheduled appointment at 12:30 today, they told me phone would be fixed by 3:00 pm but when I showed up they said it would not be ready until 5:00 pm, when I showed up at 5:00 pm they said it wasn't fixed and they couldn't fix it for the agreed upon price. They tried to get me to pay more than double the agreed upon fee for something that malfunctioned with the camera, buy purchasing a new phone. The existing phone is less than 60 days out of warranty, but again the problem was with the iPhone functionality, not anything related to usage. I asked to speak to the manager, but Jesse, Head of Genius Bar refused and said I could only speak to him. Very poor customer service and generally poor customer service attitude. We have multiple Apple devices and have bought dozens of phones from Apple over the past ten plus years, but apparently my time and loyalty doesn't matter​ when Apple wants to maximize revenue for pushing new equipment. No discussion around the trade in value of my existing phone was offered. Now I have to devote my time to make an appointment at another Apple store with better service. My son bought an Apple Watch a few weeks ago. While he was there, an associate helped him pick out a charging dock station that required not only a MagSafe charger sold separately which the associate did NOT direct him to purchase, but the associate also did not take the time to confirm whether or not he even had a MagSafe compatible phone, which he does not (iPhone Xr). We went to return the item today. Even though we have the receipt (which says nothing about a return window), AND the card that was used, they would not issue a refund. Not only that, but they would not give us store credit to use at a later time or with Apple. They said we were forced to have to bring the item in again to get the credit there the next time we came into the store. Ridiculous. I've been engrained in the Apple ecosphere since 2008 and have spent easily $20,000 on Apple products in that time span. To not give a refund when I have the card, receipt and boxed item is bad enough, but then to require me to come back and go through the return process again instead of just giving me store credit or Apple Store credit is absurd. As an avid apple user, mixed with a lack of technical efficiency, I spend a lot time at the "genius bar." Mind you, they are actually genuis' in my book! I went today under the impression I had a 12:00 appointment, to my dismay it was actually an 11:40 appointment. This past Sunday I went to the Apple Store at Barton Square in Austin Texas to get some tech issues addressed and everyone was helpful and courteous. Then my 15 year old had an epileptic seizure and while she's recovering in a chair, an obvious salesman comes up to me and tries to sale me an Apple Watch. I have always had a great experience in all the apple stores. My most recent visit to the store in Barton creek was horrible. They always seem to be just too busy for any walk ins and they only want to have you come in if you have an appointment. My air pods have been malfunctioning and I had visited the store a total of 4 times for this. I wanted to just get them replaced. I thought it would be a quick visit because ALL of the notes had been put in to my account. I was turned away to make an appointment. I did. when I when in I was told that they would not replace them without trying to replace each piece individually. are you kidding? so my right ear, then the left, then the base then the whole thing? who has time for 10 visits. not happy at all!!! Awesome customer service!! The home button on my iPhone quit working after it got some sand in it after a trip to the beach. If you have an iPhone I'm sure you could imagine how unbelievably frustration it is to have a working phone with no home button. Made an appointmen and there 8 minutes late, the employee said it was too late. I told her it's ridiculous to lose an appointment over 8 minutes when they make you wait longer. Don't buy an Apple product if its not through a third party that will manage the warranty for you like Tmobile or AT&T. Expensive equipments and cheap guarantees, not money cheap, service cheap. The manager of that store is just an Apple care surrogate, the staff of that store struggle in high school, no college material there. The Macbook Pro battery exploded in my lap one year after purchase, hopefully no harm was done, a 3 year extended warranty will take 5 to 7 days and they offered to refurbished the product, a Frankenstein frame and a battery replacement for a $3,000 computer and a $300 warranty that only last a year and a half? no replacement was offered? the same exploded computer with new parts and a 7 days wait is not satisfactory, if you want Apple, you have to be ready to just buy new products every single time, No Repairs!, Not buying warranties! read more

I had a great experience with this Apple Store. It was also my first Apple Store experience. And in keeping with the tradition of focusing on positive reviews instead of bitching, I'm going to write about my experience. Some might call me foolish, but I bought a used macbook pro. It is one of the silver ones from around 2006-07. I bought it from a mac repair store named Mac Alliance. I have owned it less than a year and have taken it back to Mac Alliance about 5 times for repairs. The RAM broke (though it was new when I bought the computer), the hard drive went out, the battery went out, a light sensor was malfunctioning, and something else went wrong. Anyway, this computer has been nothing but problems and I kept taking it back to Mac Alliance because I feel like they should give me a discount on repairs from the computer I bought from them (and to their credit, they do). But recently, the computer broke down again and this time it was the logic board. Very frustrated I took it back to Mac Alliance and at a loss of patience with their response, I started looking at other options. My experience at the apple store was great. Though I didn't have any appointments, I was in and out in about 30 min. The people I talked to were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They shipped my computer off to Houston for repairs so my only complaint is how long it took to get back. But hey, it's cool. In addition to fixing my logic board, they made some other repairs of problems I didn't know about. They also replaced my keyboard and keyboard plate top thing (the piece of body around the keyboard with the speaker holes). Thanks to the Apple Store, I am finally happy with my macbook pro purchase. In the future I will go directly to the Apple Store for all of my Apple needs. Thanks guys! read more

I made an appointment here to get my iPhone screen fixed. Even though I had an appointment, I still had to wait 30 minutes after checking in for someone to help me, and was then told "they were no longer fixing phone screens for the rest of the day"...... why did they let me make an appointment at that time to get my phone screen fixed if they apparently stop fixing screens at 6:00PM? I left work early and was visibly annoyed with the poor guy who delivered this bad news to me, so he assured me that I could come in within the next 5 days with my ticket and just drop my phone off without waiting. Not true. When I returned today, I had to wait another 25 minutes to get a new ticket. My pick-up time was 1:50PM.... I didn't get my phone back until 2:55PM. Plenty of workers standing around though doing absolutely nothing so I'm not really sure what the problem was, but thank goodness they apathetically said "sorry for the wait thank you for your patience". My experience at the Domain location was nothing like that so would recommend driving a little further and saving yourself the frustration. read more

Very clean and nice looking, just like Apple. Went in to get my MacBook Pro fixed at the Genius Bar and they were pretty helpful. I had the same problem with my Mac just a couple months ago so they only charged me for the part and no labor charge. My only complaint is that everything is so expensive, but I guess that's Apple. read more

I wasn't satisfied at all with coming here. First of all, my boyfriend and I waited 5 hrs before getting actual help and after getting help, they wanted us to to an update that was going to take another 3 hours, so no. As soon as I told them we were leaving bc it's taking too long the guy then says we can take the device and send it to the actual office so they can fix it. 5 days later back with my device they restored it, and had an activation lock on it when I gave it to them without one and I'm not very text avie so I don't know how to even set a lock, they continued to tell me they need proof of purchase in order to lock it when I got it OUT OF STATE! & iCloud has the device under my iCloud and the watch is showing a different iCloud so I was not happy with my experience with Apple. MY DEVICE DOES NOT WORK AND I CAN NOT EVEN GET IN TO IT... I SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT THE PROBLEM THE WAY IT WAS!! read more
