I chose to ship my new MacBook to this location because of proximity to my apartment but next time I will just go ahead and drive the extra few minutes to the Domain location. My chief complaint is that it is very unclear where you should go upon arriving to the store. The staff seems to be well trained, but also a little bit too lackadaisical. I understand that Apple goes for a chill vibe, but this was an unorganized mess. After somebody checked me in, they told me my laptop was ready for pick up. When I went to the pick up area, I was processed the same as I was at the check-in -- the only other thing I had to do was to show identification. Additionally, I was asked if I had any trade-in devices, but I told them I was being shipped a box to ship back to the Apple headquarters and they were OK with that. I was told to wait while another colleague would bring out my MacBook and once he did, there was no bag to go with it so a different worker fetched me a bag. The weirdest part was that I had to bag my own laptop........lol? It was super congested for being about 3 o'clock on a Wednesday and I truly did not know why there were so many people just hanging out. Surrounding stores were kind of sketchy and I truly did not feel safe walking out with my new Apple product. The only kudos I have here are that one of the supervisors approached me and told me they liked my T-shirt and gave me a fist bump, which was nice. Other than that, I do not know why this Apple Store operates the way it does, and I believe that customers who are not truly customers (aka just people who are sitting down using their phones) should not be allowed to occupy space in this establishment. I guess Apple has now entered the affordable laptop space with the MacBook Neo. Of course this will come with a whole new set of complications, users, and troubleshooting. I'm here for the ride... All paths led to the Apple Store - Barton Creek...I initially spoke with a Spotify, then ATT representative and now I was at the Apple to see if my issue could be fixed. I interacted with two Apple team members before I connected with the Apple technician. Expectations were adequately set that they normally do not work on third party solutions. First, recommendation...reboot. Check! Delete & Reinstall Spotify...Check! These recommendations did not eliminate songs from jumping around. Final recommendation, reinstall the operating system. Apparently, this takes about 30 minutes, so I decided to wait until I got home. My phone is currently being updated. Will find out tomorrow if that jumping around issue has been solved. I am cautiously optimistic. Will listen to my playlist tomorrow...too tired tonight. read more

If only Apple was the model by which all business is measured! It was (mostly) a pleasure working for Mr Jobs-and a dark day at the Austin Campus the day we lost him. Tim Cook is keeping the edge in the 21st century and I'm thrilled with my latest iMac. Oh I'm so mad I can't find my apple representatives name! He did not have a card. Anyway you can maybe look it up by my name from my apple care. Not only was I able to walk out with the assurance my data would be transferred when I returned (and saving me a cable purchase I might have used once! ), but the very helpful rep working with me shared his extremely interesting and fun *couponing* hobby! It's great fun! Love Apple - Loved my rep at Barton Creek! And of course I love my pretty green iMac It could only be more perfect with maybe 2 more reps? I got there with one hour before closing. I asked if they would be able to sell Me the green iMac 'tonight' the traffic director looked around like "this is nothing" lol and I was able to complete my purchase! But I wanted to get a new iPhone 15, too and we ran out of time. This is replacing my 2017 iMac that's got some sort of error slowing it down but no apple care to send it in lol. Very long but please read! Outcome of this will be I switch to something different than apple. I really hope that someone gets a hold of me still to but if not this is my honest review and if i could leave a 0 star i would .... just shows how disappointed i am, I took my AirPods in to get check on Sunday 1/18/2026 i was told my left AirPod was not working but the right AirPod was and the case were working fine and i shouldn't have any issues. Fast forward to Wednesday 1/21/2026 (went 2 days without using my AirPods) i went for a walk and my AirPods were not connecting and kept saying it could no longer connect to my iPhone, i tried every single step chatted/called apple support called apple store was told to go to the store. I drove 30 min away on a weekday to resolve this issue mind yall my AirPods were working perfectly fine prior to Sunday just the left one wasn't working. I get to the store just to be told they don't know whats wrong hat MAYBE the left AirPods has gotten worse (mind yall i was told on sunday i had nothing to worry that the case and right AirPod worked fine) I insisted i did not have connectivity issues prior to bringing it in they ran a diagnostics and nothing came up everything seem to be working fine EXCEPT the left AirPod. I wasnt looking for anything free all i wanted was for them to fix the issue that was WAS NOT there. The person who helped me was really kind and confirmed that sometimes when they run diagnostics they switch cases and that connectivity issues could happen but she also said she would see if i could get offered a certain amount of discount on another pair of AirPods i said if that is possible i will take them right then and there... she came back saying they could only give me 10% ... they did something to my AirPods and all they had for me was "im not sure what's wrong and heres 10%" i feel laughed at and frustrated at how they handled this situation because i insist THIS WAS NOT AN ISSUE PRIOR TO ME TAKING THEM IN TO GET CHECKED FOR THE LEFT AIRPOD! I was advised to call support again and this time i cried because its so unfair i have to pay FOR THEIR mistake and something they did! now im left without AirPods and having to pay for repairs ! Johnny and Geronimo were the best!!! Geronimo was the first to help me and then Johnny came in. They both tried everything they could think of to recover my laptop data before having to erase it (because of some weird login glitch/error). I was there for an hour before having to leave for a meeting but came back around 3pm to continue the work with our next game plan in mind. Johnny was there and helped me get everything started since he came up with our next idea. Ultimately, it ended up working. We got my data onto my hard drive, erased my laptop, and I was able to import the data I wanted back to my laptop. Anyways, great service! Thank you for the help! read more

I've had an iphone for years. My "water resistant" iphone fell into 2 inches of water for 1 second and stopped working. I bought a new iphone from the store. Spent over 6 hours trying to get my new phone setup only to end up with a message that said my account is restricted and that I'll receive an email at the address registered with apple at this time tomorrow with information as to when my account will no longer be restricted. Returning this POS tomorrow and never touching another apple product again. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Utterly shocking. I went in to handle an issue with my iPhone. The lady we encountered seemed nice to start with but as I tried to explain what was happening and asked questions (so that we could, hopefully get to the bottom of the problem) she kept cutting me off and telling me that it was my phone and she didn't know what was wrong. So then why the H*** are you doing service in an Apple Store?!?! During the entire conversation she was incredibly condescending. She also kept walking away during our 10 minute interaction and we kept having to wait for her. While waiting for her, we even had other employees asking if we needed help, which we turned away as she was helping us. After she cut me off for about the 15th time, I reached out and touched her arm to stop her from speaking. When I say I touched her arm, I barely touched her, more of a brush. I wasn't mean, rude, rough or anything else and was nothing but polite during the entire interaction, in spite of how I was being treated. She was shocked and said "please don't touch me". I lost it. Before I could even say anything, my wife, who was standing next to me, cut in and asked for a manager. The lady replied that she was a manager. I told her that she needed to get us someone else then because we were not dealing with her anymore. She told us she had no one else available. There had to have been 15+ people in green shirts in the store and the place was almost empty. A complete lie. She then told us she could get us in line for the Genius Bar. Fine. So then, after she walks away and while standing in the middle of the store, we get a call from Apple. The lady on the phone was very nice and got info and then put me on hold. But I knew there was no way she would be able to solve the issue, especially while talking to me on the device we are addressing and me having to hold it to my ear. Another gentleman came and asked if we needed help. Simply put, this guy was a rockstar. He handled the situation in about 10 minutes or so. Very friendly. Didn't make me feel like an idiot. Listened and answered like a normal person. I wish I knew their names. I don't. I think the guy said he was an engineer. He should be promoted. He was the epitome of customer service. The manager should be fired and never again allowed to be near customer service. She will turn customers away. I only remember one other time I was treated in such a rude way by someone. Even my wife was shocked. She couldn't believe what had happened and was shocked at how patient I was with the lady. I give the guy 5 stars. read more

They shuffled me from line to line when picking up my phone and then asked me to go back to the original line, which had grown 20 people. My partner recently lost his phone at work. =( He decided to get a 2nd gen iPhone SE as a replacement. We're from Cali and used to there being Apple stores on just about every street corner like Starbucks (J/K... sorta), so we were a little surprised by their relative scarcity here (our options were either Austin or San Antonio). We arrived to the mall around 7PM and found there was a queue line established in the median for entry, and that they were currently "reservation only." Obviously, not knowing this, we did not have a reservation. However, when prompted about the reason for our visit, the staff was extremely accommodating and empathetic that my partner was without a phone; even though they were very busy (as Apple stores always seem to be) and fully booked in terms of reservations, they made an exception and slotted us in twenty minutes later. This was a more than acceptable wait time considering we thought we'd be turned away and have to return another day! We spent it looking at some other shops, then returned. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the saleswoman explained the process my partner would need to take in order to restore his old phone's iCloud backup onto the new phone he purchased there. She didn't hurry us, but rather assisted in a pleasant manner that suggested we were her top priority. read more

This store has the most unhelpful group of Apple employees I've ever seen in my entire life. I am a former Apple employee so I know what they are supposed to do. I went in there just to buy a pair of AirPods. All the employees were busy except for these two which were in the corner having a conversation. I told him I didn't want to interrupt, but I just needed someone to help me over by the AirPods so I could buy a set and leave. Well, I went back over there after they told me they would send an employee over there to help me. 10 minutes later They ended their conversation and still no one came to help me. As their conversation terminated and they had both walked away and went back to the main employee i had spoken to and told him I was still waiting to buy a pair of AirPods. He looked at me puzzled and I told him I'd spoken to him 10 minutes ago and was still waiting for the employee to show up to help me. I needed a case quickly and particularly planned my trip to this Apple Store where I had been here recently, and like their case selection. I parked at JCPenney where it would be the quickest route but turned out I entered on the second level and all the escalators were out of service. I had to trek around to find stairs to go down. This Apple Store is large and as I entered I was greeted, and guided to the case section. Another employee helped me select one and used Apple Pay to checkout. I also asked to see if they still had iPhone 7 Plus cases and she looked online for me. The Apple experience is once again top notch. read more

Went to the Barton creek store. I did a Vision Pro demo. The rep did not know that one cannot wear their own prescription glasses while wearing the Vision Pro. It's clearly stated on the Apple support page. Well, my glasses broke. Very expensive prescription eyeglasses. Had a crazy drive home without them. My eyeglass store confirmed that they were broken. It's taken some time getting a response after reporting the issue to one of the store leads. Apple made 33.9B in profits in Q1 2024. I'm a long time customer 10 plus years. I hope the store can do a better job training its employees. Greed is never good There maybe better stores to go to than Barton Creek read more

Literally, the worst customer service ever. Picked up a new iPhone 16. Over $1500 transaction. The guy gives my phone away to another customer...makes me wait for this random guy to come back with the handset, never once apologized. I then ask him to go get me another handset to which he says "it's not that easy". I asked him kindly to do exactly that, the guy who had my phone finally comes back into the store and I literally watch this guy walk over to him, take my phone he mistakenly gave him and walk 5 feet over to me and hand me the phone. He then has the gall to ask me if I want a bag and hands over the crumpled up bag from the other customer with random shit in the bag! Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to get your gear at another Apple Store or online. read more

The store seem to be very busy but they had a lot of associates. As soon as I walked in a young lady helped me and put me in contact with an associate that could return the item that my wife sent me there to return. It was very quick and easy I had no problems. The store is a little difficult to find even though it is very large with a glass across the entire front and the big white apple above it. The footprint of the mall has several offshoots so it is not just a straight corridor right down the middle. But it was a good experience and I was worried that it was gonna take a long time and it did not. read more

We were scheduled an appointment on 02/18/2021 at the Genius Bar for today 02/20/2021. My wife drove 1.5 hours from San Antonio after receiving an email this morning at 8:50 am confirming this appointment. She arrived to find the store closed. We received no notification from Apple about this closing or the cancellation of our appointment. We spent 3 hours texting and talking to help find a solution to our broken lap top. I purchased a $1,600 computer earlier today and paid extra to get it delivered. I receivied a text letting me know my computer would be delivered soon. I've been home all day. My house is mostly glass and I was here looking at the front door eagerly awaiting my delivery. Less than 15 mins later I receive a text telling me: "We were unable to deliver items in your order. They are being returned to Apple and yout purchase price will be refunded." I then called apple and spoke to 4 different people, all of which claimed it wasn't their fault becasue it was given to a 3rd party. The best part though... I spoke with a guy named Jay at the Barton Creek store and he says "oh ya, I remenber this... The deliver man came in with a hemlet. The box was too big to be carried on a motorcycle, so thye refused delivery!!!" I said ok, can you please sent it back out now with a different driver and he said no. I just CANNOT believe how awful the customer service has become with Apple. It is sad, becasue I have Apple everything. I rerally needed this computer for my company, which I run out of my home. Just terrible TERRIBLE transaction. A complete waste of time and energy and a completly frustrating interaction! read more

My first experience at the Barton Creek Apple store couldn't have been better! I'd been meaning to order the bee iPhone for awhile but the location nearest me at the Domain was always out of stock when one afternoon I checked and it said the Barton Creek location had exactly what I needed available for pick up - woo! Despite being in a crowded mall in a pandemic this Apple store had their procedures down perfectly! Upon my arrival I gave my name and was allowed to wait it a sectioned off area where my temperature was taken and everyone was socially distanced. After just a few minutes I was escorted into the store where Ron helped me with my purchase. Ron was so kind and informative and made the pick up process for my new phones so easy and efficient. Honestly the Apple store at the Domain is always nuts so I'll likely make the drive to Barton Creek again. read more

I want to point out how much I enjoyed my first time in an apple store compared to what I expected. Usually when you walk by, it's overwhelming.... well it was that, but I asked for help by a man named Kerry and he directed me to where I should be for phone help. Then I had to wait for a little longer than I wished for but Christian came to the rescue. Christian made this trip so worth it, he was so honest and caring that I felt and trusted what he told me, he wasn't just trying to make money or sell me unnecessary stuff. He knew from what I said a basic iPhone 8 was the best option, he was so fun to talk to. We made conversations about everyday life, cars, and phones. He made me feel comfortable. When we finished are service the set up area was busy and Travis was assisting quite a few so Christian continued to help me throughout that set off! I honestly think if I worked in management for any electronics company I would try and steal Christian as an employee for me, he was awesome in so many aspects! {sadly} the store was set up where it was extremely hot, unsure if it was due to the bodies or no air flow. But the heat made it hard to wanna stay for set up and for any of the classes they had on. read more

I arrive at 10:30 am and was given an appointment and asked to wait 45min. I walked around the mall and came back after an hour since I never received a text. I was told it would be another 15min so I waited. 20min went by and I asked about my appointment only to be told my appointment was at 12:15 PM and that it was pushed back. Although the store was relatively quiet I had a 15 minute wait for any help. When I did get help the person helping me clearly had no idea at all about Apple products, I think I knew more than them. The manager there briefly came over and was responsive, but you could tell he had his hands full.
