Long story short, bought iPhone 15 from T-Mobile four months later it dies will not charge get the runaround from T-Mobile said have to go to the Apple Store. Apple store can't replace it. They can fix it maybe but they have to wait for a part no loaners to give out how do you go a week without a phone when you've got to use it for everything and work disappointed in Apple Store not having enough to give out a loaner but more importantly, the four month old phone should've been replaced on the spot!! read more

Service Department. These guys lie cheat and steal, and are not interested in fixing equipment, only selling you something new! Brought in my $2K Mac that would not power on. They said $168 for a power supply, then said that did not work, now $399 for a controller board! At that point I caved, bought a new Mac at Costco (lower) price, they claimed they would transfer the data, they gave the 3 minute try, and said not working. I asked for the SSD, at which point they tried to steer me to a 3rd party for recovery. $64 Amazon carrier board, all data recovered by me, and I have zero training. At this point I'm sure my 1st was repairable, never should have taken it here! Avoid the service dept and trust no one! read more

Went here on Saturday they said my phone has irreversible hardware damage. Said I needed to buy a new phone but I decided to go to the CPR phone repair on Meridian to see if it was fixable ( I went in as it didn't turn on and the battery was horrible) and they accepted my phone and fixed it for about 500$ less than apples solution. By happenstance. I needed to order a four-pack of AirTags and originally went to my local Costco to get them at $89.99 but they were sold out in-store and online. I then placed an order via Amazon prior to getting steps at the Boise Town Square. In the process of getting steps, yes, I count my steps, and I saw that the Apple Store was still open and jolted inside. I was greeted about four times before I waved off the t-shirt gang and made my way to the back to get the four-pack of AirTags. Before I was able to turn around, Melody? Melanie? caught me in mid-stride and checked me out. No, not that type of checkout. Paying to check out kind. She was amazing. It's unfortunate that I don't recall her name but she was funny, sarcastic, and genuine all in one. That's what I like. I don't want a robot or a bland experience but a memorable one. Just buy online or at Best Buy and avoid this store. Management has clearly taught them customers don't matter and aren't a value. I waited for a long while trying to buy an iPad. Had 4 different workers ask me if I needed help and I told them I'm ready to buy. They all promised someone would come right over and help. One actually said, I just need 20 seconds to do this one thing. Nothing. After 15-20min of standing and watching employees just standing and talking to each other, finally someone came to help. We got almost through our very easy transaction (I just want to pay) when she asked another customer if they needed anything. I literally had my credit card in hand and her checkout device was open to the pay page. And then they had a lengthy back and forth conversation about different computer options. What a joke. $220 AirPod Pro that now that the warranty is expired begins doing the crackling noise during exercise exactly as described on the Apple website as a known issue. Amazing how it happens after the warranty almost as if Apple intentionally does this. Waited on hold 26 minutes to be told nothing they can do because their system won't let them and wanted $180 to fix them and told me I should have bought apple care. On a side-note, I had gone for an in person appointment prior to the follow up phone call and it's amazing how many Apple employees come up to tell you nothing other than the person that will help will be there soon. I drove 4.5 hours round trip to purchase an adapter, which I had questioned the sales associate if it was the correct adapter, especially since the one he sold me was $29 and the one online was $9. I was assured that it was. I even brought in my IPAD and pencil. Got it home and it does not work and is not the correct adapter. I had to order the correct adapter online and pay to have it shipped quickly. When I inquired about returning the incorrect adapter, they said I would have to return it to the store. All-in-all a disappointing and frustrating experience. I should have just ordered online in the beginning. Could have saved the gas, time and frustration. When I expressed to her that I was on time she argued with me that I should have been early even though the appointment was at 6!!! She was extremely rude. It takes a lot for me to give a one star review, but this store could not have cared less in helping me with my MacBook Air. After an incident in which I had left my MacBook in a restaurant (and at the time not knowing if it would be there), I called Apple Support and an agent walked me through putting it into "lost" mode, which unbeknownst to me meant, it was locked. This is done for my security, in event someone were to find and try to get in to it, and so that made sense to me. What did not make sense was, I was from there forward not able to open it. Nor was tech support able to help, and so they sent me to this Apple Store, where I found them to be totally disinterested. They first asked my for a receipt, and I didn't have it, so I was told I was out of luck. So I called support again, and that agent looked it up for me, and emailed to me, and I walked back in to store with it. Surely the store employee could have suggested to try Apple sales support to see if the receipt was on file, I mean do these people just work for Apple, selling product, or do they work with Apple, with service as well? It's just not really care to me that they do much outside of sell product and educate on how to use products. So staff took the laptop for least three days, and made it sound as if they themselves would need to get in some query (line) which would take about three days before more senior techies would be able to assist them. By day five, I get a call and am told, "sorry, your Mac is just too old, so they are not able to help you". Seriously? They suggested if they were to send it somewhere they might be able to save my data, but that I"d not be able to use this laptop again. This is a 2015 refurbished I bought in 2017 from Apple, and it worked and does work as I type on it right now, perfectly fine. There is no need to throw it, with my data saved on it, away. They really seemed to care less! So I just wasn't buying what they told me, and I decided to take it to MacLife repair in Boise. I worked with Maxwell, and he literally had the thing opened in less than 15 min he had said after completing the task, and so I got a call from him the very same day that I dropped it off to pick it up. They charged me $35 for the service. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Apple Boise Town location. They are pretty much about sales, not repairs. MacLife staff are highly trained, have years of experience in repairs, and their turn around is good and reasonable. MacLife is an authorized provider, so even your newer models under warranty are safe with them. read more

I had lost my phone and was pretty distraught so I went to the Apple Store trying to do the whole Find My phone app thing logged in password worked and then I asked for my birthday typed in my birthday and then it said it wasn't working for whatever reason and they sent me on my way, saying that they couldn't do anything. I was freaking out at this point because I pay for Storage and so I was like if I can't get into that account it's gonna just keep on charging my bank. So the next day, I just went to the AT&T store and the girl who helped me there was actually able to get me into my account and actually able to help me and completely turned a really bad situation into a manageable one, but I don't suggest going to this Apple Store because all I heard from them was we can't do anything. read more

She had no idea what she was doing, made several promises she did not keep, and then oddly wandered off to work with another customer she wanted to chat about hairstyles with. this crop of a company thinks it's OK to lie to its customers thinks its customers are so dumb that you go in for a simple battery replacement for your MacBook Pro. Make me wait an hour just to come back to me and tell me there's extensive water damage on the back end of it and I should buy a new MacBook Pro because for the same price to repair it would be the same price to buy a new one. I need to get my data off of it so I sent it to the third party. This may be one of the more important Apple stores in the country. It's the only one for hundreds of miles. We take many stores for granted but this is the only Apple store in Idaho. If you live in Montana or eastern sections of Oregon and Washington state, or northern Nevada, you'll be on a full-day road trip if this is your destination. I'm still questioning whether I was lucky or unlucky as my phone's screen decided to fail while I was about 15 minutes away from this store. I was on the last legs of a 4,000-mile road trip so, I guess, I was fortunate to have my phone fail here. About a half dozen friendly employees took the time to help me through the process so I could get back on the road quickly. They said it would have it ready in an hour and it was actually fixed faster. Thank you. read more

Called Boise Towne Square Apple Store about it and was told by the service tech to bring the laptop in ASAP, today if possible, so they could see if they had the battery in stock and get it fixed. Drive 20 minutes to Apple Store right away, only to be told that they wouldnt even talk to me without an appt. I mentioned what their service tech had told me on the phone less than an hour earlier and was told they wouldn't even talk to me without an appt. I have the AirPod pro headphones and use them when I go skiing. I have lost AirPods at Bogus and have been able to buy just the lost earbud for 89.00. Today I took in my AirPods because the left one's sound quality was poor. They gave me the option to buy a replacement for 89.00 due to it being outside of warranty but would not sell me the replacement unless I gave them my AirPod. Why can I buy one for 89.00 but I have to give 89.00 plus my property for this new one? read more

I've replaced batteries and screens on iPhones many times in the past at very little cost. I am so grateful I got the liberty of meeting Lucas today. I'm always so intimidated going into the Apple store because it's always busy. Usually you need an appointment well not today I went in needing some help with my phone to get it turned back on and it was so quick less than a minute, Lucas was there to greet me, right as i came in. I didn't have an appointment mind you I've spent all morning going back-and-forth between my mobile carrier and the customer service online on their end. which clearly didn't do anything for me. Pre-Ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Spent $1475 on a phone. Chose 5pm as a pickup time for launch day. Ended up near the mall at 2pm. Stopped in and the very young man in front was very rude and told me he couldn't help me until 5. I said I couldn't come back. This practically still a teenager told me I could either come back at 5 or cancel my order. I grabbed a manager who was easily able to assist me. I don't know why this young man would be customer facing on such an important day, but it concerns me when Gen Z thinks that customer service is giving a customer an ultimatum on a $1500 phone. The manager and other employees were excellent, but this child working the front door made a fun day getting a new phone into a frustrating one. read more

Personally, I don't usually write reviews nor do I give a low rating when I do. However, I drove pretty far to come to the store. I was told I had to make an appointment in order to browse. I actually came to the store to purchase a keyboard. When the individual at the entrance told me I had to make an appointment. My wife mentioned there was three parties that walked in. Nobody stopped them or even looked at them as they walked past us. The employee just starred at us and didn't know what to say. I've been using Apple products for over a decade. I was surprised to find that the store had Security Officers stationed, but was pleasantly welcomed in by a tall, friendly security woman who was very gracious and most helpful in getting me seen by the right Apple employee promptly. She even checked on me later to make sure I was taken care of. Everyone seemed genuinely kind. My iPhone was fixed in short order. It was nice to be greeted and not made to feel like a dummy as often happens when an older customer tries to deal with new technology. I even took a free class and learned a lot about my phone. Can't begin to express my gratitude for the team at the Apple Store in the Mall. I had bought a new 15 Pro Max Phone. Got it set up with them and traveled home. An unexpected hiccup occurred and I called Apple Support. After working several days by phone with Apple Support to no avail, I called the Apple Store at the Boise Town Square Mall and explained what was happening. They made an appointment with me and I traveled back to the store. All I can say is that they were incredibly great in every way. It took some time as my 'carrier' was a total pain, but once that was resolved thanks to the Apple store team, the rest of the set up went smoothly. From the managers to the tech people, each one took a personal interest in solving the problem. They switched out the phone, got it set up, double checked to make sure there were no glitches and everything is downloaded, etc. I left there and drove back home happy as can be. From this day forward, I will travel to only do business with them, from buying my devices to getting help.. It is worth the drive. I will be returning soon as I signed up for some of their classes. They are simply the best in personal/professional care! read more
