I like this Apple store a lot. I love the white walls, spacious and minimalist layout, and that it's well air conditioned. (I have a problem with feeling overheated in many stores - - not here!) I have been an iPhone user for only three years, and have had very few problems that necessitated my coming into the store. I've come in a couple times to purchase accessories like an extra long charger, once to upgrade to another phone, and once to have my battery replaced. To a person, every sales associate here that I have met over the years has been friendly, polite, and helpful. Once I accidentally dropped my scarf in the store and then an hour later came back looking for it, and they had to put it aside for me. I thought that was super nice. The store is run efficiently and has consistently been right on schedule. Staff at the front door takes down customers' information and directs customers to the appropriate table where they are met by an associate. They are punctual. When they say my phone will be ready for pick up at 7:45, it is ready at exactly 7:45. I also like that the store sends a text when it's almost my turn to be seen, and then another text when they are ready to see me. They're very well organized at the store. Every sales associate can take payment and I like not having to wait on the line at a register. read more

The worst experience ever!!! I've been having troubles with my MacBook the screen display was messed up, and my touchbar stopped working. I figured it would be a quick fix and I'd have it back in about a week. I took it in on Sunday the 14th and I just received it today Monday the 29th. I was extremely upset with the delays on my mac because I'm a college student, and I really need it for exams and homework. Nevertheless I was just happy to be done with this entire situation and was glad to get my MacBook back. When I walked into the store today they handed me my MacBook and I was confused because the touchbar hadn't turned on, so I tried to confirm with the person assisting me and he said "oh yeah it's fixed don't worry it'll turn on later" I should've trusted my gut because other than the screen display nothing is fixed. My husband and I went to the Apple Store in Bloomingdale to buy a new pair of AirPods because I thought my old ones weren't working anymore. When we arrived, the store was busy, so we went straight to the AirPods section to check out our options. Once I was ready to make a purchase, we waited for an Apple staff member to assist us. I noticed that some employees were chatting amongst themselves without any customers, and I didn't want to interrupt, so we continued waiting. Eventually, a staff member named Reid came over to the AirPods section, and I approached him for assistance. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, and as we chatted about AirPods, I mentioned that my current pair wasn't charging, which was why I was buying a new one. Instead of just making the sale, Reid suggested we check if my AirPods could be fixed. He registered us for a service check, and soon after, Michael from AppleCare came to assist. After examining my AirPods, Michael realized they were simply dirty, which was causing the charging issue. Thanks to both Reid and Michael, I didn't have to buy a new pair--my old AirPods were still perfectly usable! It's rare to find employees who genuinely care about their customers instead of just pushing for a sale. Went in to ask for help with transferring my files, photos etc onto a hard drive from my old laptop(s) in order to trade them in and purchase a new one. You'd think Apple would want their employees to assist with this if it means a potential sale. I had someone all set up to help me last time, I just forgot the plug for the hard drive at home so I had to come back a different day- that's on me. Today I was told that employees can't help for "privacy" reasons but instead they could set up an appt online to have someone assist with this. In what world is having someone virtually assist you more private than a one-on-one interaction in person, especially if I'm consenting to it in the store. I just know I'll have issues over the phone, so Apple should really opt into having their consumer decide which type of help is more efficient for them. Also the manner at how I was being handled by one employee who was warm & eager to help vs the other who made me feel belittled was a vastly stark difference. read more

I missed Yelp's Service Star Shoutout by 3d but want to shoutout to the repairs for a most totally crucial tech during pandemic, here at Bridgewater's Apple Store. My MacBook's keyboard had a sticky key finally go responseless and a recall covered it thus I made an appointment at the Apple Store last June 2020 when COVID19 was so heavily underway as to send all such visits into serious doubt and worry, but I had confidence Apple Store would uphold all the protocols to make it happen as safely as possible including queuing, scheduling, sanitizing, and distancing, all of which would injure profits but they hopefully could afford it. When I neared their storefront in the otherwise basically empty mall (2 other non-Apple Store patrons were there on a Thursday noontime), I noticed Apple Store's security guards directing the few customers to a queue which wrapped around a small garden which was so wise as to prevent the non-distancing which typical queue patterns forced. I signaled my name and the staff noted the contact in their app then was within seconds called to the inside after a guard checked my temperature and asked the customary COVID19 questions. The Apple Store staff was super friendly and happy which was such a delight after so much social isolation. I explained my problem and he quickly got a can of compressed air which solved it, avoiding a lengthier service request and a return pickup visit. Went with family to purchase phone, didn't have a single employee come up to me for over 15 minutes. Found it very surprising considering I saw some of them just talking to each other. Walked up to what seemed the manager as his uniform was different and felt shunned. He did not even bother to look at me and said to give him a second but no one came. Had to end up approaching an employee myself for a purchase that took less than ten minutes. Unfortunately I have had this happen to me numerous times at Apple. Do better. read more

Came here on my lunch break had a reservation but arrived 10 minutes late they still assisted me. The store is like any typical Apple store, they have cute wooden seats at the front. My Apple guy was able to quickly fix my computer I just needed the software reinstalled. He was kind and courteous the entire time. What a disappointment! We went to the Apple store today in Bridgewater Commons around 11am to buy an IPhone for my husband. When we got there, found the doors closed and a number of other potential shoppers standing in front of the locked doors. Inside, a number of staff, all wearing masks, were running around placing large fans around and removing plastic sheets from the top of the display tables. As there were no signs to indicate when the store would open, we waited patiently for 15-20 minutes expecting someone inside to come out to tell us when we may expect to be let in. No one came. As I indicated, there were no signs on the door and nothing online indicating anything unusual. Finally, I called a telephone number I found online and was told by an online salesperson that the store was temporarily closed and she had no idea of when it would reopen. Another bystander indicated that the store was closed yesterday afternoon as well. So, it seems there was plenty of time to notify shoppers rather than letting us stand around. Common courtesy should have required store staff to inform us, as standing around for extended period is not easy for s many, including my husband who is 80 years old. Poorly done! read more

Rico was extremely sympathetic and understanding of the expectations set via phone, and in store and set a phone appointment for me same day to have my Call expectations met and discussed. I was told via phone due to it being the time of COVID 19 and no availability to view watch colors in person, and was told over the phone on recorded line by an excellent support rep that there should be no issue doing so, due to fact I have the extended Apple Care warranty. Renzo the manager was brought over and showed zero emotions, sympathy, or even compassion for buying a watch online and not being able to properly physically view the different colors. I was also told they could only ship out my watch to have it evaluated and I would have no watch for up to 10 business days, which is unacceptable in my eyes. Management seems to always turn a customer away and not resolve any problems but more so say "we can't do that." I highly recommend Rico at this location and have since being in store escalated this issue to tier 2 supervisor support and Rico was even nice enough to set up a phone call same day at a later time in early evening. read more

This Apple Store is located in the Bridgewater Mall. It is located on the Main Level (aka the middle floor). I came in to get my iphone battery changed since it is $29 until the end of the year. Starting 2019, the cost of a battery change I believe goes up to $79+. Anyway, I called the store to make an appointment since walking in never works. I made an appointment for 10:30am on a Monday, and I was told to come back at 11:30am. I re-arrived and was told it was still being worked on. About 11:50am an iPhone worker came out to tell me they could not change my battery since it has signs of water damage. UGH! My phone works fine, they even did the diagnostic stuff before they took my phone, but I guess they don't want to be liable. Waste of 1.5 hour. Three stars because of the long wait and the lack of service. read more

I am amazed how many employees there are for a relatively small space. I have always found the Apple Stores a quick experience. If you are going in for a small accessory (like an iPhone case) try out the Apple Store app. You can scan, purchase, and walk out of the store without talking to anyone! In my most recent experience I had the latest version of the iPod Touch that was purchased sometime last year -- I really do not remember the exact date or where the purchase was even made. Just a few days ago the internal mic stopped working. Thus no Siri, no voice memos, etc. I made an appointment for the Genius Bar at 12:50 on a Thursday and when I walked into the store someone at the front checked me in and made a note of the problem via an iPad they had in hand. Then I was told to hang out by the Genius Bar and wait to be called. As I got back there someone standing in the store (not behind the bar) called my name and said they could help me. They verified the problem, got a replacement unit out of the back, and I was on my way with the problem fixed at 12:53 -- Yes, 12:53. It actually took longer at home to restore the iPod's previous settings from the iTunes backup than it did to get the hardware problem fixed at the store. No wonder they have $145B in the bank. read more

Don't get your screen replaced here! My iPhone screen cracked 3 weeks after this store replaced it. The crack was from the edge of the speaker, so seems like they probably didn't install it right. This store refused to do anything, said I must have dropped something on that spot. That's a pretty specific spot to drop something... Kind of crazy that they charge almost $300 for a new screen (my original replacement was free due to a recall), and then don't warranty the workmanship. Biggest mall Apple store I've been in (haven't been to the ones in NYC) and the employees here are all very knowledgeable. The store is packed every time I'm at this mall so even though the employees know what they're doing, getting to them is sometimes a very long wait. I am on my 4th IPhone. I keep getting a new one every 2 years. I made an appointment online to speak to someone in the Bridgewater Apple Store which is on the main level of the Bridgewater Mall.. I arrived and gave my name to an Apple employee who checked me in with an iPad. I was assisted by Louis in a matter of minutes...This time I came in because I bought the iPhone 6S two weeks ago and had a problem so I thought.. Louis explained to me that the 6s has different mechanics in it then the 5s.. Louis did an immediate diagnostic and he could instantly tell me if something wasn't working...He showed me a few tricks on my iPhone that even I didn't know it could do.( I'm very iPhone savvy.) I have dealt with Louis before. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and completely explains everything... My first suggestion is if you are experiencing any problems with your IPhone, iPad , or Mac make an appointment.. This will save you a lot of time waiting.. Second be very specific and know exactly why you are there.. If your not computer savvy bring a note pad and you can write it down. My main reason I stick with Apple is they hire great people who are throughly trained, whether on the phone or at a Apple store. They are very courteous and kind especially on the phone.. They don't outsource their people.. I love how all Apple employees are willing to take the time and teach you how to use their products .. I didn't need that but I saw it going on all over the store.. I will continue to buy Apple products just for this reason.. I was very impressed how busy this store is but there are many employees to help.. I would highly suggest using this Apple Store.. read more

A year ago when I purchased my phone I got an employee on his first day working. He was unsupervised initially but eventually after having to ask a coworker for help at every step of the process they just stood over his shoulder. Couple weeks ago I brought in my 6S for a new battery under the Apple service bulletin (and apple care plus), thinking it would be a simple transaction. Tech said it had liquid damage (???) and refused to do the repair. Apple phone support says that doesn't matter for the battery replacement. If you have ever been to the Apple Store in Menlo Park Mall, then you will surely appreciate their Bridgewater Mall location. Menlo's Apple is so crowded and hectic, but that's for a different review. Making store appointments online helps to facilitate repair questions and solutions. Therefore, any long drawn out problem will have its designated time slot which I imagine helps to greatly reduce their in-store traffic. I stopped by on a Friday night to purchase a new phone charger and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The greeter directed me to where I should go where another blue shirt wearing sales associate was there to help me pick out the right charger for my phone and pay for it without any delay. Sidebar: they only wear the red shirts for 2 months during the holiday season. I love when buying (anything) is made simple, so this place gets 5 stars from me. Ok, 4 stars as I am in there often for various reasons and 4 would be a more accurate average. read more

Okay, I've been to too many Apple stores, having been at one of the early openings back on Sept. 15, 2011 in Tampa, Florida when the airport was silent after the attacks. They've changed drastically. The first few stores had massive shelving for software because most stores wouldn't carry it, and it was easy for someone to say that Macs didn't have any software, even though that was inaccurate to any degree. Now, they have very few shelves dedicated to software and more dedicated to cases and accessories. Most of the stores are busy setting up new computers and training users, even though the country's economy is still in trouble. They're also planning to do iPhone display replacements, and I can guarantee they'll have a lot of work. A friend is constantly doing replacements of shattered displays. Hint: buy a case that's drop resistant! My Otterbox Defender has scratches on it but my iPhone 4S doesn't. I can really appreciate how they move so many people through the store, whether for sales or service. Be aware that Genius is a job title, not a description of the service employee's mental abilities. Then again, I've met a lot of students in gifted programmes, and I believe they're only gifted on their birthday and holidays. I talked to someone (Pampina?) about headsets. I tried the iPhone headset with my Mac and the sound wasn't very good. I wasn't expecting $100 sound and rightfully, I didn't get it. He made some good suggestions with Harmon-Kardon, Klipsch, JBL, and Sennheiser. They only carry a few of those, so I'll have to check mail order solutions. That's good customer service to tell me more than just what they sell. read more

It's amazing that Apple would hire some bozo, rent a cop, security persons to stand in front of their store and insult customers! Two weeks ago (March 2021), as I was shopping with my 10 yr old son, I thought let me stop in at the Apple store to touch and feel the MacBook. As we try to enter the store, the bozo security person (late middle aged guy standing at left entrance) jumps in front of me. He exclaims "can I help you"? As I stand there perplexed, I wanting to say yes do you sell hamburgers here, I said I'd like to enter the store. Instead mr Bozo could have just said there's a check-in across the mall aisle. By the way, there were no signs or indicators to point out the check-in! So instead of buying a new MacBook to replace my aging model, I just walked away. I later went to Best Buy! This isn't the flashiest Apple Store location, but it is about 25 minutes from my job during rush hour. So, it's convenient. I came here after work for a routine battery replacement on my iPhone 6. I checked in on time at the Genius Bar, and waited around 10 additional minutes before a Genius approached me to begin the diagnostic of my phone. He determined that my battery was indeed degraded and a replacement was in order. I had suspected this since my phone had a habit of dying within three hours of a full charge. They inspected my phone for water damage before taking it in. If they find water damage, they charge a lot more. They also asked whether any third-party repairs were done on the phone (I said No). I was told the replacement battery would cost $29 (their 2018 special pricing) and would take an hour. I returned an hour later, after doing a bit of shopping. A different set of Geniuses were on the floor, but they coordinated and one of them brought back my repaired phone. I paid for the service and went home. After charging the battery fully, I can tell the difference. No more range anxiety. read more

All of the employees were clustered in one section of the store and were not being mindful of customers that were looking to spend their money. Fantastic friendly knowledgeable service. Went in a month ago for a sound problem on a 2 year old iPhone and it needed a full screen replacement which was done while we waited. New screen started acting up after a few days, brought it back in at the first opportunity and after running diagnostics they gave us a brand new identical iPhone at no extra charge. Dele was my hero today! My phone froze in recovery mode and was completely locked. Verizon was unable to revive my phone and because of a minuscule chip on the side claimed that my warrantee was voided. Even if it was within the verizon "warrantee", they would have taken 3-5 days to ship me a new phone. I was unable to make an appointment ahead of time and when I walked into the store, they were already in overflow. The store was pretty crowded and all the staff were attentive. Once I explained my situation, the staff was kind enough to squeeze me in. My wait-time ended up being a little over an hour but given the fact that I had no appointment, I was happy to wait. Dele was straightforward and super cheerful, and assured me that if he could not revive the phone it would be replaced under apple warrantee (the phone was under a year old and in good condition besides the scratches, and the problem arose from a manufacturing issue). In the end my phone was a goner but Dele hooked me up with a new one! Also he was a great dancer. read more

I just went there to buy the Leopard upgrade and Office 2008 and they actually have people there who can help you! The must have realized the in store experience was a disaster and fixed it. I bought Aperture there. I am a total Apple Junkie (e.g. I make my Christmas cards on my Mac and publish through Apple.) I am competent enough to realize that you cannot go in the store on the weekend, or before Christmas, or before School starts. You will *never* get waited on. I rolled there 1:15 on a Monday, May 14th. Whenever you go to the store, there are 3 or 4 spiky haired "Geniuses", trying very hard to sell Apple Computers to pretty young things that really have no intention or ability to buy that 17" MacBook Plus they are trying out. They Geniuses slavishly give them 2 hour demos of I-Photo, I-Tunes, etc. while you are trying to drop $1299 or $299 or whatever and get the heck in and out of the store. They always "help" the 18-25'ers and leave an array of confused and hopeless soccer moms trying to buy IPods and older (and slightly bitter) IT guys (like me) who really want to *buy* something. Even if you want to buy and go, no one is there to help with a purchase of an Ipod case. A complete joke. I wish they would drop the pretense... I'm not trying to buy a SL500... Its just a computer or iPod. I bought a $350 SD800IS HP camera at Best Buy yesterday and the user experience was better than the Apple Store! And when I bought my $2500+ Sharp Acquos set-up at Best Buy (which is known for inept customer service!) I didn't need an appointment! Postscript: It gets better. I went on line to the Apple store to purchase this part (and an Apple Keyboard while I was at it.). I was about to check out and I noticed: "A signature is required for delivery of your package(s). We suggest you select a shipping address, such as your workplace, where you know there will be someone to sign for your package(s). We also offer an easy way to pre-sign for your shipment. See our shipping policy for more information." I zeroed out the cart for the Apple Keyboard. Surely the cable will fit in my mailbox. Nope! Same warning. Follow the instructions to print and complete the Shipment Release Authorization form and leave it on your door for the carrier.
