I own over 8 Apple devices. I have been to Apple stores in Denver, Vegas, New York, Atlantic City... This was - by far - my worst experience. Dan was rude and unprofessional. When I asked him how long it would take to replace my malfunctioning computer (that was literally purchased 3 days prior to replace my Mac that was less than 2 years old)... He motioned to the back of the store and said "you're looking at the same thing I am." The entire exchange was dismissive and condescending. Am I mad that I went thru newly purchased 2 Macs? Yep. It does not take away from the fact that Dan's job is customer service. And he failed. Computer get transferred to Dexter so that he can transfer docs, etc from my 3-day-old Mac onto a new one. He explains that it is a "really complicated process." Really, Genius?? After letting him work on it for about 30 minutes, I give him my cell so he can let me know when it's done. He quotes me "50 minutes max." 2.5 hours later... No text. I come back... Info still isn't transferred. New Genius is now telling me I may need to leave it overnight. Apparently Dexter went home and didn't leave status or instructions with anyone... Just left my expensive laptop sitting on the counter.... Nice. read more

Always have to wait around forever to get help and have had to return multiple times to have the same issue corrected. They finally swapped out my phone for anew one. Also, I purchased an apple gift card online but really wanted an iTunes card. It's true that this particular Apple Store in Bridgewater Commons pales in comparison to the larger Apple Stores in NYC, but still, it's an Apple Store. Yes, the employees at this mall in NJ are a bit more Bill Gates-ish when compared to the more Lisbeth Salander-types in NY and CA Apple Stores, but it's still an Apple Store. I came to this location, with my kids, to finally bite the bullet and join the iPad 2 revolution. While my kids played Angry Birds I was actually ignored for about eight minutes. I'm not sure if they thought I just came in as a babysitting tool for my kids, but I had to actually get someone who looked like a manager just to buy something that I already knew everything about. Other than that brief delay, everything went swimmingly from there. The store is tiny for an Apple Store (it's in a mall) and seems like it can stay crowded, but the service once contacted was attentive and clearly knowledgeable. After about five minutes I left with a shiny new iPad 2 and received my receipt via email while I was walking. I would hazard to guess that this Apple Store as an entity is not going to blow your mind, but if you want an Apple product or are addicted to Apple in a variety of ways, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting what you need here. read more

Staff who seems to know what they're doing. But the store is always crowded and very hectic. Stopped in at 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. But a two hour wait to look at one small issue with my Iwatch is terrible. Then I was told that the next available appointment was two days away. I know every Apple store is busy...that's to be expected. I signed in at 10:20am and didn't meet with anyone until 11:30. After my diagnosis was complete, it was decided I needed a new phone. They had none in stock. Start to finish my dealing with this store lasted over 2 hours. My low rating is not for lack of friendliness; the people I dealt with were very nice but when a store opens at 10 and you're already waiting over an hour just to see someone...that's annoying and not to have product in stock...super annoying. So after 2 hours, I left with the same phone and my issue has not been resolved. Complete waste of time. read more

I was diagnosed. And it wasn't good. I had a terrible case of... Applemania. I'm a huge fan of Apple products for their design aesthetics and software, which is great for my needs. I owned one of the original black MacBooks, graduated to 2 different MacBook Airs, own a Mac Mini Server, a PowerMac G5 Server, an iPhone 4, and counteless iPods. Yeah. I've given this company a lot of my money... and I guess it just adds the icing to the cake when I mention the fact that I own Apple stock. My love for all things Apple hardware aside, their stores tend to embody the same wonderful svelte design that makes their products legendary. The Bridgewater Commons location is no exception to this. The staff are incredibly helpful, very efficient, and just downright fun to talk with. I've been here before when I was in a rush and needed to buy a birthday gift for my sister, and was able to buy her an awesome new iPad in 5 minutes. 5 minutes from start to finish. That's just unheard of, especially considering that the place was packed. Even when I was taking my sweet time selecting my configuration for my new MacBook Air, the sales staff were incredibly patient and helpful, and were trying to get me something that best suited my needs - not simply up-selling. This location is staffed adequately (maybe even too much, but their volume is super high so I'm not surprised), the Genius Bar is thoroughly knowledgeable and gets stuff done as fast as they can, and all in all, it leads to a great shopping experience. Bought my Macbook Pro online and had a store pickup to this Apple store. I came in and gave them my info and my Macbook was in my hand ready to go all within 5 minutes. Great service by Apple and I love how they can just check you out at any point at the store (No cash registers in Apple store) A few years later, i went back to replace a earphone which was giving me some problems, they replaced it right then and there and even let me keep the old earphone. Terrible Genius bar / repair and overall poor customer service. Unless you want to spend a bunch of money and/or buy something new, avoid this Apple store Genius bar and repair facility! If you bring in a laptop or desktop for warranty service, all they do is put keep it for days, put it on stress tests and then insists nothing is wrong. They are prepared to argue their point until you give up. They will promise you repairs and then when it comes time to actually doing the work, they will insist that they cannot reproduce the problem. They miss obvious problems. They will argue with you and talk over you. If you try and call and get a status update on your repair, they won't even answer the phone; or they will answer and then hang up abruptly. Plan on calling back several times, getting disconnected and then not having your computer finished when promised. Worst customer service at an Apple store I've come across since the inception of their retail outlets. read more

Worst experience ever. Employees were completely rude to me and had me waiting over two hours even though I had an appointment. One of the supervisors seemed to think I was a complete waste of his time as he went over to go say hello to his friends instead leaving me waiting, doing nothing. I was incredibly polite, patient and didn't say a word that wasn't unnecessary but I was still treated as if I was annoying them for making them do their job. When I finally gave up and said I wanted to leave, the person working with me basically threw my phone at my face while it was still running diagnostics. I had to ask how to end the diagnostics from running. My experience there makes me hate going into Apple stores now. read more

They told me I could come back without an appointment. I returned two weeks later, no appointment. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with Apple. Let's begin with why I was there: I had to take my 2 year old Apple watch in for service because the face fall off of it. Let that sink in for a moment. The face, the screen that you interact with the device via, simply fell off the casing. This rendered the watch (predictably) useless. Upon getting there, it was indeed a busy day (being the week before christmas and all) and I spoke to one of the greeters at the front. He informed me that it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait just to get someone to LOOK at this watch, which was clearly a warranty issue. He paged the manager after I commented that I simply was not going to wait 2 1/2 hours for someone to tell me the thing was broken and it needed to be sent out. He fetched the manager who promptly told me the device was out of warranty but they would send it back to be repaired at a cost of $200. Unacceptable. Had I smashed the device and damaged it, I would have no issue paying for this. However, this device has no scratches, dings or dents in it. I never treat my electronics roughly, as evidenced by the fact I've been an iphone user from the very first model and never so much as scratched a screen, let alone broken a phone or a screen. This watch was no different, but I digress. After informing the manager of this point, I stated the charge for repair was unacceptable on a device that simply fell apart with normal use. She huffed and puffed by said they would replace the device without charge. Upon learning this, I asked pointedly if there was an issue with them flashing a new watch OS onto the watch, as I refuse to upgrade my phone to iOS10 (both because of the issues with it slowing down devices, destroying battery life and subsequently losing my Jailbreak on iOS 9.). I was assured this shouldn't be an issue, it would have the same OS that it was shipped in with. Fast forward to today, when I pick up not my device, but a 'replacement' device. With watch iOS3. Which doesn't work with iOS 9. So now I have a useless device because I don't want to update software on my phone and render IT a useless device. The manager at this store (the same one who seemed annoyed at my disgust that I would be charged for a device that simply fell apart in the first place) copped an attitude, claiming "I did more for you than I should have by giving you a warranty on that" and "I'm not going to help you out any further." Here's a customer service tip: don't be a bitch to your customers. You could have easily asked a genius tech if there was an option to downgrade the OS on the watch or find out if you happened to have an old stock watch series 1 on premises. Instead, you chose to be snotty about it and tell me to be happy that you "did more" than you should have in the first place. I've been to apple stores all over the tri-state area. I've bought devices where employees have worked for 4 hours to get the device registered and working. I've had better customer service from standard employees at Best Buy than this supposed "trained" apple manager. Forger this store and the obnoxious managerial staff. Do yourself a favor and forget about walking into this store expecting to get any kind of service, because it's non existent. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Always have had pleasant experiences with apple, today was different. We made an appointment for our family to get new iPhones, and had 3 people as our party. Upon arrival we were notified that only two people per party could enter the store which we were not told of on the phone when making the appointment. I guess they wouldn't care if there is only one adult and two children for other parties who come? I find it strange that they make you make an appointment and then limit how many PAYING customers are allowed in the store. Will be shopping from another location from now on. read more

Appointments at Genius Bar always begin on time and end in positive resolution. Almost always no charge, and when repairs are required, prices seem fair. Sales team gives useful advice and enjoys set-up process. Just compare it with the empty Microsoft store at the other end of the mall. What a horrific experience.....starting with rude service at the door! My son worked hard to buy ear pods but sadly lost one. When he bought a new one, it sounded great but the current one was awful. When he tried to return the new one (so he could buy a new set), he was told you are not allowed to return a serviceable product by both the CSR and Mgr. I love Apple products, but generally am not a fan of Apple stores. This one, in the Bridgewater Commons Mall is the WORST! I went in on a fairly busy evening to buy a Mini-DP to HDMI adapter. Trying to find someone with a blue shirt to help me was near impossible. But cooler-than-you Apple stores don't have a checkout or customer service desk that you can just walk up to, you have to find a blue shirted person. Their was a ton of them there, but all helping other people. So I just wandered around and around, trying to find someone. As I was in the back of the store looking, I saw a few free up in the front of the store, but by the time I got to them, they started helping other people who just walked in the door, while I had been there searching for 10 minutes. Getting really pissed off at this point, I went to the Genius Bar and interrupted some guy to ask for some help. He eventually found someone for me. Horrible system of getting served...not first come, first serve, but random. Horrible. So then I tell the guy what I want and he walks me over to the shelves, grabs a 10 foot Mini-DP to HDMI cable, hands it to me and says there you go. $44.95. I ask if he has just he adapter, since I already have an HDMI cable, and he says, no, this is what you need, as he stood blocking the shelves from my view. So I take it and thank him, and say I'm going to look around some before I buy it. As soon as he walks away, here I see the Mini-DP to HDMI adapter that I wanted to begin with, right next to this cable, for $10 cheaper. I switched them, paid, and left. This is really shady Apple! read more

This place is a joke. Apple does not stand behind its products. One of my 5 IPhone 6s failed 30 days post warranty. We have 5 IPhones 2 mac books 3 IPads 8 IPods and an Apple Watch and the manager said they extend to good will towards loyal customers who have purchased Apple products for years. He said he treats a new customer the same as a 20 year loyal customer. It's laughable that he has no idea what customer experience means. Our phone was not abused as it was Mint condition protected by an Otterbox from day one. One day it just failed to turn on. They said without Apple Care you're shit out of luck. Doesn't matter how many iPhones or Apple products you buy. People will keep buying them regardless of how bad customer service is. How did this guy become a manager? What an Idiot! Went into the Bridgewater store with an IPad mini 2-3 years old which I wanted to either fix or replace. I went in with the thought that I would likely have to replace it. What I experienced was something like what you would expect when entering a car dealership. I walked out with my broken ipad greatly disillusioned. My apple 6G phone needed a new battery. I went early (9:45am) to wait on line and secure an appointment. Two people looked at my phone before the technician. Each person said that since there is a cracked screen ( two small cracks at the edge) I may have to buy a new screen as well because when the battery is replaced the screen will be worse. The technician told me the same thing. I questioned him and said you can't replace a battery without breaking the screen further? He assured me that the screen needed to be replaced for $120. So the battery was $49 and the new screen $120, for a total of $169. My phone memory was also questionable so I decided not to buy the new battery. I then took it to My Cellphone repairs (3rd level next to Macy's). I told him about the screen and he almost laughed and said he could replace the battery in 20 minutes for $49! In 20 minutes I had a new battery and did NOT have to replace the screen. Don't let this apple store make you spend more money then necessary! If you screen is completely shattered perhaps you should replace the screen but you DO NOT have to replace the screen if there is a simple crack in the screen. Buyer beware! read more

Do not go to this store! I was guaranteed by apple that my iPhone 4S battery would be replaced free of charge despite ANY physical damage to the phone. The phone was dropped and has a small crack on the screen. When I arrived at the store a diagnostic test was done on the phone and less than 50% of the battery was functional and the battery would in fact be replaced. I was told to come back in 35-40 minutes and it would be fixed. I came back in 40 minutes and sat in the store another 10 minutes when someone finally came out with my phone and told me that they would not fix the battery. They kept saying that the phone was tampered with and the battery was "charred." I kept explaining the phone was never tampered with and was only dropped. The fact that the battery was charred would lead me to believe that the battery was defective hence the poor functionality of the battery itself. The workers in the store would only give me the same response every time they spoke. Like robots programmed with not an ounce of common sense. I read poor reviews of this store before going there but never thought I would be a victim. The workers in this store are a joke and it seems to be store policy to let customers leave extremely disappointed. You have been warned. This review is real and not an exaggeration. The manager at the store today was Jason and he is the leader of a non common sense mentality that makes customers feel wrong and unsatisfied. We bought our first Apple products when we started our small business 2.3 years ago. Today we were back again for advice, support and updates. Erik Farber and the business support team are amazing. We always get the answers we need and they are so amazingly knowledgeable, warm, generous and supportive. I got spoiled when internal to a corporation with 24x7 executive desktop support, but the Apple team, especially, Erik Farber, has been even better. He teaches me how to be self sufficient and never gets tired of me asking things over again. i especially like being able to let him know we are coming with our "wish list" and come out of the store (like we did today), feeling like we are ready to embark on another busy year with the right tech tools to serve our customers. read more

This is the worst apple store ever! I had an appointment today at 10:45am. Because I was never before in this apple store I had some difficulty in finding it and arrived 5 minutes late (10:50am). The guy at the entrance told me that I am too late and they can not take me. He wanted to reschedule me for the afternoon. They had no other customer around, and clearly they did not have technicians on site, hence they just wanted to reschedule appointments. I went to the Bridgewater Apple store to buy a new watch as my old one died on me. I had already done the online research and was ready to try them on and buy one today. I liked the gold one and was looking forward to getting it. So I went over to the watch table. There were two customers there being helped. One worker just finished with a customer and she told me that someone would be over to help me and left. I waited for about 25 minutes for someone to help me. Some newly arrived customers waited at the table and were helped within 5 minutes of their arrival! Even the other Apple worker helping a customer at my table said that I had been waiting there too long and to go talk to the manager Chase about it. Chase was helping someone behind me so I waited on him to finish. But then a worker named Eric shows up, takes my name down, and says that someone will be over to help me. I waited another ten minutes and still no one showed up. I couldn't wait any longer and walked out. This was just one stop I had to make out of several and I didn't have any more time to waste on bad service. How hard is it to have your staff come by an ask their customers if they need some help? It wasn't that long ago that you couldn't walk two feet into the store before 3 people asked if you needed help. I saw a couple of customers just waiting for help and at the same time saw many Apple workers in blue milling around and joking amongst themselves. Sloppy service. Hopefully one of the other stores will do a better job. read more

I'm a huge fan of Apple products. I've been using them for a while now - really since college. Between the iPhone and iPad, Apple has really changed the game. They're both phenomenal products. I just have a slight issue with the store/the process of purchasing items. Some "Geniuses" are a lot better than others, but I guess that really applies to any genius, in general. The store is always incredibly packed, no matter what time you go and it's mostly people just messing around with the products. Most of the people that go in this store have no intention of buying anything. It can take a while to talk to someone and I'm not that big a fan of the whole checkout process - the no register thing always throws me off. So...in summary - they've got great products, some of the workers are much more helpful than others, and the store is always incredibly crowded. I'm an Apple Fan, I've been using their products professionally for 25+ years. I've also had great experiences with Apple Stores as well. Even this store in Bridgewater has been good, until today. My four year old 17" MacPro laptop battery has started to swell. Did a little research and discovered that this a known issue. How Apple has resolved this has been inconsistent though. I've read about folks getting replacement batteries for free, and some have been not so lucky. Unfortunately I fall into the latter category. Now if what happened today was just about having to replace the battery, I don't think I would be writing this. But today was different. Today I was helped by the irritatingly chipper Ben at the "genius" bar. And it's not just that "chipper" demeanor that bugged me, it was his condescending tone, and tough shit attitude he had regarding the issue. When I asked about a minimally used four year old battery starting to expand, he cheerfully replied that he's seen even three year old battery fail. I asked if Apple would replace the defective battery, he again cheerfully replied no and my only option was to purchase a new one. I relented and said I'll pay for a new one. He then cheerfully said that he would check and a few minutes later he returned empty handed. He said they didn't have any and that I could order one on-line, and when I asked if he could just order it for me and have it shipped to my home, he again responded in that cheerful tone, he couldn't and that I would need to do this myself. I wasn't happy, and as I packed up my laptop and turned to walk away, I said to him that this was a very disappointing visit, and instead of an empathetic apology, this condescending prick fires back that they can't be responsible for carrying batteries for such "old" machines. Really, four years for a $3500 laptop is old? It may not be state-of-the-art, but it sure shouldn't be considered obsolete. Hopefully the other folks are better in this store. One could say maybe old Ben was just having a bad day, but I'm a pretty good judge of people, this fella has got douche in his DNA. He's probably brilliant at diagnosing mac issues, and maybe at fixing them, but his aspergeresque personally should keep him chained to the back room. I will continue to use Apple products, I've been using them to long to change now. I will also most likely give the Bridgewater store another try, but if Ben is the only guy there, I may need to go to the Apple store in Short Hills. read more

I love the staff at this store. Always so friendly and ready to help. They don't always rush to the door to greet you which some people may or may not like, but I actually like it because it's not overwhelming like some stores. Every time I go there I have a positive experience. Particularly this last time when on of the employees went out of his way to have my lightning cable replaced for something that was my fault and was not covered by the warrantee. I really appreciate how helpful and friendly their staff is. read more

This is basically your typical Apple Store. It moved into a larger space in the mall after building in popularity and becoming way too cramped. The store is still very crowded, at least on the weekends when I typically go. The staff there are extremely helpful! They are always eager to explain how their featured products operate and are more then willing to help you out with any existing products that you have. I've gone in with silly questions about my ipod or ipad and they always have the answers I need. They usually have some neat trick, tip or shortcut to show me about my items too! I love that :o) I also really like that they have a bunch of each item on display to avoid you having to wait for a prolonged period of time just to check out one of their items.
