    Cabin 12's patio

So I booked here regardless of the negative reviews and I'm glad I did. This is a family owned cabin environment, yes it's old, yes there are things that need fixing... but it's dog friendly and the grounds are gorgeous! I stayed in cabin 12, which has its own private patio and fire pit. We bought wood from the front desk, which came with newspaper and twigs they gathered to help with lighting the fire... we made s'mores and enjoyed the cool weather. It looks like they've been slowly fixing and updating things. If you're a laid back person and don't need the ritz carlton to be happy, this place is great. I would definitely stay here again. *Biggest downside were the pillows. They are new but super full of stuffing so they hurt my neck. I opted for sleeping without the pillow since it was more comfortable... so bring your own pillows!!

My husband and I paid $230 for 2 nights in cottage #6. For the price we paid not worth it. The back bathroom in the bed room has mold growing around the toilet and in between the wood panels of the floor. Water does not stay hot for more the 5 mins at a time. There was dog hair still on the sheets. The bedroom is pretty ran down and trashy. The wall between our room and the room next door was so thin we heard everything they were saying and doing until about 4:30 am. Blinds on all the windows are falling apart. Mirrors on bed room wall and very dirty and covered in smudges and finget prints. Unless the heater is turned up all the wat it doesnt keep the living room or bed room warm. Chairs out side a are falling apart. This place has a good concept and I understand a rustic look however this cottage was not even close being worth what we paid for it.

This is what they call a fireplace. Misrepresentation at its finest!!!

This place is cute but really sad. It had styrofoam crown molding WTF? You can't afford real crown mounding. It's NOT that expensive. Why cut/miter corners? Your workers couldn't make one decision without calling you. You took an extra $100.00 from us on accident and you said just credit our card 3-5 days later Instead of just giving our cash back. It was YOUR FAULT! But you made us pay for your mistake. We now have to live with less than $100.00 for the next few days. Look at your reviews? Somethings wrong? You don't care!!!! Plus you say our room had a fireplace on our confirmation. A heater that "looks" like one doesn't count. It's a freaking space heater with a dumb looking fireplace...Ummmmmn......that doesn't count you shouldn't put in the room description that it has a fireplace. We were seriously disappointed. Plus you give us 2 wash clothes in the bathroom.... if we leave make up on there we will be charged $2.50 per cloth. Come on... you're that petty???? They leave no paper towels in the room and only 1 roll of toilet paper. You are cheap and insensitive. No hospitality at all. Grow up and give a crap about your business. So 1 star is good enough for you? Just sale your business?!?! You don't care about us paying customers? We are sooo unhappy and you don't care!!!!!Thats sick!!!! Put yourself in our shoes. You would be unhappy too! Don't stay here!!! It's just not worth it!!! Stay where someone gives a crap about you and your business.

My guy and I drove up to Prescott with my dog. We figured we would not have a problem finding a hotel that accepted dogs because there are so many around town. Well it was like pulling teeth, that is until we came across the Apple Creek Cottages. The lady how runs the place is beyond friendly and accommodating. The cottages are very cute and it is super quiet and romantic. There is a creek behind the hotel that my dog had a blast playing in. there is a fire pit in the courtyard and grills available for your use. Every cottage has a kitchen, some are bigger then others. We had such a great time we ended up staying an extra night. If you are looking for a dog friendly place to stay in Prescott this is it!

    Lovely, quiet and relaxing

I had no idea what to expect and must admit, based on the economical rate, that i was somewhat skeptical. What a lovely surprise! Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely return, and highly recommend.

We stayed mid-week (June 15-17), and had a wonderful, peaceful time. The office staff is incredibly nice. We only interacted with them in person for check-in and check-out, but I did make a couple of minor changes to our reservation (adding a dog and wifi). They sent me email confirmation of everything, and even called us on our way into town to let us know that our room was ready early. The rooms are obviously not fancy or upgraded; the counters are not granite, the appliances are not stainless steel in the kitchen, but that would be weird in the cottages. We stayed in cabin 3, which is meant for 2 people. It had a wonderful private deck with a little table and 2 chairs. We had everything we needed in the kitchen: plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses, mixing bowls, pots/pans, cutting board, utensils, coffee maker/filters, microwave, toaster, dish soap, etc. The fridge/freezer are huge. The couch was very comfortable, and the bed was perfect. The cottage was very clean, and I didn't see a single insect inside. They provide towels, wash cloths, bars of soap, and make up wipes. Safeway is about half a mile down the street, so we were able to stock up for our short visit there. There are restaurants, bars, thrift shops close by, as well as Whiskey Row and all the lovely things Downtown Prescott has to offer. The actual grounds at Apple Creek were beautiful. I read some reviews indicating that the cottages were run down, and need to be upgraded. I feel like this is an unfair assessment; should we really expect to see upgrades and modern furnishings in this type of setting? And for the price? If Apple Creek Cottages were to modernize and upgrade, they would lose so much of the charm. Also, they would become much more expensive. I think it would be bizarre to walk into one of these cottages and see a bunch of fancy-pants stuff. Anyone making a reservation here should know that this is not a 5 star hotel. The only thing that was a little janky in our cabin was the oven, but in my opinion this wasn't worth lowering my rating of this adorable place. The oven is gas, but there was no temperature gauge on the knobs, just low/medium/high. There is a thermometer in the oven, but I could only get the temperature as high as about 300 degrees. I adore this place, and I'll definitely be coming back.

This place needs some love. Peeling paint, peeling wallpaper, gaps in the doorway and between the bathroom floor and tub. Grounds are nice, with pine trees and shade but honestly it would appear there hasn't been much by the way of maintenance in years. Won't be back.

Don't expect a hotel room, these are cottages. We were in #6. A bedroom with two queens, a living room with kitchen and two small bathrooms. We went for fall break. Leaves we're turning colors and falling. Beautiful and what was expected. We had a bonfire at night and sat on our patio during the day. Cool at night and warm during the day. It was rustic. Chipped paint etc. We enjoyed our time away from Phoenix and may visit again sometime. Great escape for a couple days. We had no issues.

I don't like to write poor reviews but sometimes it's necessary. If you get the place cheap with a Groupon fine, but full price forget it. Between the street noise, loud kids, lumpy old beds, loud frig, and serious disrepair I would not pay more then $50 bucks a night. My pictures tell the story. Bring slippers as it appeared the floors had not been cleaned in years. Also sanitize the dishes before using & bring your own toilet paper. Nobody on hand to replace the 1 roll.

Just not well maintained and gross

We understand that they have 12 rooms each with their own bathroom. we really enjoyed seeing the different rooms, the sizes and the colors. They all have different names, They do have different price points and of course, depending on if it's during the week, weekend or even holidays. This place is located right downtown in the restaurant and bar area easy access to shopping eating and drinking We also found out that they have an indoor space as well as the outdoor event space. Many times walking past and we have seen plenty of people at the outdoor events. It is a really cool hotel and venue. As it turns out, they own this hotel, restaurants, and one of our favorite speakeasies down in the valley called the "White Rabbit ". I cannot wait to share this place with my out-of-town guest. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We were in Rough Riders which happens to be at the back stairwell so no other room on that side. The window faces opposite of the courtyard and not much view but that was fine for us. The AC was a little loud, but also fine for us as we like a little noise when sleeping. The bed was comfy and the 11:00 check out was great. There is not an ice maker but small bags of ice are available at the hydration station. There is no mini fridge or microwave but since it is on the row there are so many eateries within walking distance for all meal times. It was so nice and convenient that my daughter and I are heading back there soon!
