I was about to shut him down since I have been subjected to the hard sales pitch in the past from other similar enterprises, but something about Christian's attitude kept us interested He gave us options for upgrading our phones, which we weren't interested in, but then he started explaining to us some Internet options since we are currently with a competitor and he had mentioned he could do much better than their pricing. I must say that Christian was great to deal with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing he was not into the hard sell. He clearly was looking for ways to help us reduce our cost for service services. We listened to what he said, and agreed to a trial run, which he said would be at no charge, which I found extremely interesting. He then gave us his personal cell number and said if we had any issues or questions he would be glad to help. Christian made this a personal experience rather than a corporate shoving it down your throat experience. If everything works out as he explained it would Verizon would get a new customer for Internet and if it doesn't work out as he said, he mentioned that he could easily reverse anything that had been set up without us receiving any bills for it. So far we highly recommend Christian and this particular branch of Verizon. Hopefully everything he discussed will prove to be accurate but at least for now we are quite happy with his presentation.

    I have been using my wife's old tablet a lot lately. Recently, the screen broke (it first made…read moreweird images, then got all pixelated, then finally the tablet wouldn't turn on). We brought it to the mall to see what could be done, and the Best Buy next door pointed us here. The two guys were friendly and suggested that the screen might need to be replaced. They quoted me a price, which seemed high compared to the cost of a new tablet, but there was stuff on this one that I needed so I agreed. I conditioned my approval on the basis that if the new screen wouldn't fix it I didn't want to pay for anything. A couple of days later and they called to say it was fixed. I picked up and brought it home and discovered that most of the screen worked fine but the bottom inch didn't. I talked to them on the phone and they offered to order a new screen. It arrived in a couple of days and they made the switch. The process is somewhat convenient though I wish they had hours later than 7PM during the week. I am pretty busy on the weekends so getting here to drop it off (then pick it up, then drop it off again, then pick it up again) spread the process out a lot longer then I would have liked. They weren't cheap ($160) but they did quote me up front and they were quick and polite.

I had ATT's warranty company replace the battery in my iPhone 11 and they ended up messing up the screen. Instead of dealing with that hassle a 2nd time, I went next door from the ATT store to FixTeam to see what they could do. Within 20 minutes, Simon and Joe had me walking out of the store with a perfectly functioning phone. They did a bang up job!

I had a trade-in quote of $830 for the phone through the Verizon Wireless website. Without looking at the phone, the employee we spoke with said he'd give us $400. I told him about the quote on his company's website, and said, "Perhaps it's a different deal online than in the store. I know that has happened before." I showed him the webpage and the quote for the phone. He took the phone out of my hands and said, "You have to read the fine print. You'll only get $400." My husband is an attorney. We're aware of "fine print," and read through it before entering the storefront. To qualify for the trade-in, we knew we'd have to get the next tier plan on his phone at $10 a month & the phone we were looking at would be free. I took our phone back & asked him to read aloud the amount quoted in the fine print. After he did, I told him we'd be taking our business elsewhere. We've been loyal Verizon customers for more than 20 years, probably longer than that employee has been alive. I'm still upset by his condescending tone.

He offered me at least $50 less for it because of this. In addition, they rejected another one of my items because they "couldn't get it to charge". Needless to say I did not sell my items to them. I got home popped a Verizon SIM card in my iPhone and LO AND BEHOLD the phone works. I also plugged the other item in and LO AND BEHOLD it charged right up and held its charge. Basically they wasted an hour of my life and lost business. I do hope the guy who told me my iPhone was locked just made an honest mistake BUT he would have some money to gain if he had convinced me to sell it to him at the lower locked price then turned around and sold it as an unlocked. My suggestion to you would be to make sure you go on the CEX website and get your own quote for the items you are thinking of bringing in. Secondly, try and be in the store when the manager Alissa is working because she actually knows what she's doing. Several of the employees there are unprofessional, slightly rude, and don't know how to do their job correctly.

He charged me in advance, took all my personal information to gain access to my phone, told me to come back in an hour and a half, and when I did, told me he did not have the part, couldn't fix it, but had an awesome deal involving swapping my phone for a replacement that he assured me was much better. I refused, he pushed and said I was missing out on an awesome deal, refunded the money on my credit card, and I left. The next day I discovered that he had not even refunded the money correctly and had to make a 20 minute call to the credit card company to get compensated for the cost of tax that he had apparently planned to keep. BAH! Terrible experience. Next day I went to the i fixit in Colonie Center. No payment in advance, professional service, checked to make sure he had parts in advance, charged about 50$ less than the guy in Oneida had charged, and fixed it smoothly and quickly.
