Well you can count on Apple to continue introducing new products and upgrades and I learned a long time ago I don't always need to upgrade for the sake of upgrading to have the latest and greatest versions of all their products but since this is a brand that has served me well over the many years I've used them I see no reason to change brands. I recently purchased a new 13" iPad Air and although it looks much the same as my previous models it really is an upgrade in performance and includes some things I'm sure I will convince myself I can't live without. I have a collection of old Apple Products that I have yet to find a good reason to part with but at some point I will need to address this obsession. I do love the fact that no matter what device I grab all my information is synced whether I am using my collection of iPads, iPhones, iMac, or Apple Watches that are currently connected and more importantly I have found all my Apple devices to be very reliable. I'm sure I'll continue to upgrade my Apple devices as needed and retire those that are no longer needed to my tote designated as "The Apple Graveyard" or maybe like I did with this purchase use their trade-in option going forward, they credited me $250 for my most recently retired iPad and that's not too shabby... read more

6/14/26: At Apple Spaceship HQ in Cupertino, California. Visiting our son, Gregory who works as a hardware engineer at Apple since 2011. He showed us Apple HQ. The spaceship obtains its electricity totally on solar panels on its roof. Moreover, natural ventilation reduces the need for air conditioning much of the year. The entire 1 mile circumference is made of curved glass and features like huge movable glass doors. This Has Happened To Many Other People...Please Google: I Bought An Apple Computer Using Apple Card's 12 Month Interest Free Payments And They Took The Full Amount From My Bank Account. I bought a new Apple MacBook with my New Apple Card and selected Apple's 12-month, interest-free monthly payment plan. Apparently, Apple and Goldman Sachs had another plan: Month One, Pay for the entire computer. When my first payment came due, Apple Card withdrew the entire remaining balance from my bank account at once instead of taking the agreed monthly installment. My Apple Card now shows a zero balance; my bank account, meanwhile, was overdrawn. To be clear, I'm not talking about the purchase reducing my available credit limit. I understand how credit works. I'm talking about actual money being withdrawn from my bank account...the full amount owed, on the first payment. Leaving A Zero Balance On The Apple Card! I contacted Apple and Goldman Sachs/Apple Card, but was told there was nothing they could do because the money had already been taken. I didn't have the full purchase price in that account because, call me crazy, I had chosen a 12-month plan to pay over 12 months. Fortunately, my dad lent me enough to cover the overdraft. My Apple 12-month payment plan has now become the Dad 12-month payment plan, and at least Dad's customer service answers the phone cause just try and call Goldman (AI Doesn't Work) Sacks. Apple and Goldman Sachs were also fined millions of dollars by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2024 over Apple Card consumer problems, so anyone considering Apple Card Monthly Installments should research that action. I have two iphones under the apple care plus insurance, and lost one of the phones while I was abroad. I tried to claim a lost claim on apple.com, and the system doesn't allow me to claim a lost claim. So I called the help service, the senior advisor wasn't listening what I was explaining to him at the beginning of the conversation. After the phone call over 1 hour, the advisor finally said that he can't help me to claim the lost insurance claim. I pay the apple care plus to cover a case when I lost my phone. But Apple advisor say that insurance is not covered. This customer service, and apple care service are broken for a customer who pay for apple care plus insurance. I requested to talk with a manager to make a complain, he said that he doesn't have any manager or boss I can talk to. I have an 16 ProMax that has a problem syncing messages and a microphone that is sometimes choppy. I've spoken with 4 or 5 people at tech support and finally a senior tech said the phone needs to be replaced. I live about 40 minutes from their closest store in Portland, OR. I spoke with an unpleasant manager who said they would not hold a replacement phone for a day. That I just have to drive 80 minutes and pay parking and make as many trips as necessary until they have a replacement. What a jerk! Apple has failed to warn its customers of a serious glitch in their service. 1) Anyone using an iCloud email on their iPhone for back up is at risk of losing access to all their data and contacts. 2) If they lose or damage the phone... and the stored password for the iCloud email on the phone ... the iCloud access will NOT CONTINUE on the new iPhone. .. if you forget the password or trigger a freeze after a few tries. In other words.. USE a NON iCloud email for your iPhone/ Apple account access... to make sure you can reset a password for your account. Because your stored rarely if ever used iCloud email will not be recoverable without the phone when damaged or lost AND the iCloud password being stored/ forgotten. They will NOT help ID you. They will keep years of data stuck in cyber space.. and have done to many including employees. 3) Customers have now, no iCloud password or the original iPhone. Even a new apple iPhone transfer will not include the last iCloud acct. 4) They will set up a new one and you will lose your first set of data. Lots of people are losing their data, if opened with an iCloud email. The customer service reps tried to help a few times taking hours and days of supposed wait time for security and tickets etc.. and one finally admitted it happened to one of them!!! Can't get back into their own account. 5) Blatant Consumer Indifference. Their email response to the NYS AG was so bad. It was dismissive, irrelevant to me, and showed no company name, no company address, no contact phone. Just a pic of an Apple? are you kidding. All to make sure no one calls the compliance people for assistance. Then it in boiler plate form, referred to a link suggesting using the email to reset... despite that email being an iCloud email which makes it ABSOLUTELY USELESS if iCloud email password is stored and now can now not be accessed. So it was a useless reply from an unidentifiable person. Apple DOES not care to respond in a helpful way to the NY AG. Typically that matters to a compliance person in a company not wanting to offend a state consumer protection office. Not Apple..... Nothing to worry about.. this is APPLE! 6) The only solution I can see is for Apple to have a class action for Trapping data, and not adequately warning consumers for all the frozen iCloud accounts. This happened two years ago and I do not plan to let my data go into the black hole of Apples too big to care nightmare. After this... I am back to our NY AG for an escalation. After that, onto the BBB. After that.... I will do it all again. And after that and before three years.. I will sue in small claims court where a local judge and mediator can decide if Apple wants a default judgment or to send a lawyer. I don't care how large and looming their company is.. ATT was forced to pay millions for not giving customer service. I want my data back and I don't want to hear they are helping "protect privacy". I am not trying to break into my own account. I went to MyUPS to change the delivery location to where I will be next Monday, and Apple prevents changes to delivery location for a case that cost less than $100. 2nd Time Apple ID Account Hacked, Resulting in Subsequent Hack of Apple Devices Tied to Apple ID Account - Update - Part 3 - see prior posts I accessed my hacked Yahoo account to identify whether any additional Apple ID account information was generated by the person who hacked my account. Lo & behold... I found an email from Apple Support requesting I contact them at the phone number listed for my area via link: support.apple.com/en-us. I was surprised with the email response from Apple which must have been in response to my online posts, and not in response to the letter I was directed to submit to their Cupertino, CA corporate office since I specifically requested in my letter to only correspond with me by physical mail or telephone due to the extensive nature of the hack. On Friday, March 14, 2025, I phoned the Apple Support Desk at (800) 275-2273, accompanied by my daughter and a computer specialist. We initially spoke with representative - TC and sought provision of the information requested in the letter mailed to the Apple corporate office which consisted of: 1. All account activity tied to my Apple ID account which at the time they received my letter on January 3, 2025; I still had access to. 2. Provision of the full hacker's phone number ending in 31 in my Apple ID account that replaced my phone number, so that I can provide this information to my December 2024 police report for identification of the hacker. 3. The content listed in the iCloud account I did NOT create, for the Apple ID account I DID create. 4. Any identifying information tied to the fraudulent phone number ending in 31 listed in my Apple ID account. After TC placed us on hold to check receipt of the letter, she returned to the line and stated there was NO record of receipt of my letter to the Apple corporate office, despite my having proof to the contrary. She then conveyed that she was unable to provide us with the fraudulent phone number that was replaced by my phone number in my Apple ID account because the hacker now owns it. We pointed out how ridiculous that is since the Apple ID information requested resides on Apple's network and is in the custody of the Apple network group. We requested transfer to a supervisor. We next spoke with an Apple Support Technical supervisor who conveyed that none of the information I requested can be disclosed because Apple must protect the identity of the hacker who hacked MY account. After the shock passed regarding the response provided, we stated - "Apple wants to protect the identity of the hacker who hacked my account? The response was, "Yes." The hack of my devices now has an additional wrinkle involving a physical phone call recently being made to my appliance contract provider requesting cancellation of my coverage. This is now the 2nd time someone has hacked 2 different Apple ID accounts belonging to me, tied to 2 different devices, and I am now even prevented from creating a new Apple ID account to use the hacked devices, and Apple takes NO responsibility for the lack of security on the network they control, or a resolution for correction of access due to the hack. Since installation of any software on Apple devices requires customers create Apple ID accounts, I have now been prevented from using my devices due to my inability to create an Apple ID account since December 2024. Apple should just admit their network is NOT as secure as they purport it to be; cease functioning in the state of denial, and FIX, or at least address the issues! There are two widely reported news stories evidencing Apple's security issues: 1. During the 2014 Labor Day weekend, a huge leak of nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Kate Upton, Kaley Cuoco and almost 300 other celebrities had somehow been remotely accessed and shared via their iPhone accounts. Although Apple denied fault on their end; analysis of Kate Upton's phone showed use of both iBrute and Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker software to acquire her iCloud credentials and access her information. 2. An April 21, 2022 National Public Radio (NPR) news story by Ronan Farrow regarding the Israeli NSO company's Pegasus software that can not only retrieve all information from any iPhone, but can also highjack the iPhone and camera and perform real-time surveillance without the user's knowledge. The article states that use of this software was believed to have contributed to the murder of Washington Post reporter - Jamal Khashoggi which resulted in an exodus of employees from the organization. To be fair, the Chinese and Russians also own these types of technologies. I in no way believe my data warrants use of this type of technology, but let's stop pretending that the Apple systems are unable to be hacked when evidence clearly exists that show otherwise. My 16 Pro Max got wet. The keyboard did not work properly and mis-typed my password several times. I have been locked out of my Apple Account. I cannot send phone for replacement to Apple Care without first gaining access to my account as to turn off the "Find My Phone" feature. The lock-out period seems to be 5 days. Nobody can shorten this time frame, which is in itself ridiculous when I can show up to an Apple store with an ID. Anyhow, without my phone available I am unable to access my health portal, finance apps, banking apps, or pay my bills due to the 2 party verification. This is absolutely absurd. This may have been OK a few years ago before everything required 2 party verification, but this makes it impossible to do ANYTHING without access to ones phone. I now need to go buy an Android just to have a phone and hopefully keep my same number, but 15,000 pictures and all of my contacts will be gone due to this doo loop of account recovery. So disappointed. I have been talking to them for 2+ years and my iphone is still not fixed. All of my videos do not work for some reason. It says this iphone does not support them.. but my previous iphones work for the videos. I have talked to product support to try and figure out WHY it does not work. I purchased a brand new Apple 12.9 ipad over a year ago, since then I have spent over 400.00 replacing the charging dock, and screen. Based own what the repair shop said. In order to replace the charging dock, you also have to replace the screen. Contact Apple after the charging dock went out, 2 days after the warranty was up. They refuse to fix it. Know the new screen went out. and I can not afford to fixit again. The repair shop own March Lane, had originally gave me a year warranty but said the vendor drop it to 90 days. First off, why is it virtually impossible to find the apple headquarters in Yelp? not I have also filed a complaint with BBB. I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max & traded it for a 15 Pro Max around Oct 2023. Apple continued to charge $13.49 a month for Apple Care on each phone for a year (totaling $161.88). Apple applied free unsolicited apps for 3 months then put the onus on the customer to cancel the subscriptions never requested. Why? I have paid for Apple Arcade @ 6.99, Fitness+ @ 9.99 & News @ 12.99$ per month for 9 months & have never used the apps (totaling $269.73)! All totals exclude taxes! When I caught the error tonight I called. Apple first only agreed to refund approximately $70.00 for the apps, required proof of trade for the 12 Pro Max then agreed to refund the $161.88. Apple expects me to lay down and give them $200 for free for an un-used product! This is greedy & predatory. It's no better than a Pay Day Loan system. Apple appears to think their customers are ignorant! This is a tech company and they can't figure out how to improve that aspect of their app? I smell large chunk a of BULL! It's PURPOSEFUL and Apple is banking on consumers forgetting to cancel. I'm sure APPLE has had thousands of focus meetings on how to swindle money from consumers legally! Why not set up your system to offer 3 months free then auto cancel as a cut does not approve the subscription? Customers would be prompted when access is denied. M2 MacBook Air ordered at 5:13 a.m. PT on July 8th with an original delivery window of Jul 18 - Jul 25. On July 13th the delivery window moved to July 25 - Aug 1. First I would like to state that I love Apples products. Been using them since late 1970's. Earlier this year I purchase an AppleWatch for myself. Loved it as well. It has great features for health, safety and emergencies. I decided on get one for my wife. In hindsight it was a horrible decision. First my wife's old iPhone did not support Apple Watches. So I upgraded her to an iPhone 12. Everything seemed OK except that the walkie talkie feature would not work. So we contacted apple support for help. After MANY hours on the phone with Apple the new iPhone bricked. Locked itself from too many attempts to get the walkie talkie to work. This was all done while doing what apple support told me to do. Of course it was all my fault according to apple. The phone was refurbished and we were unable to find its serial number. So....Ordered ANOTHER iPhone. This time an iPhone 14. Finally got ready to pair the Apple Watch with the iPhone. Only to discover that the Apple Watch was also locked!. It was all my fault according to Apple. This was after literally DOZENS of hours on the phone with Apple. I was promised return calls that never happened. Finally after TWO WHOLE MONTHS of battling Apple I gave up. I sent the Apple Watch, still brand new, unused and entirely paid for, back to Apple HQ. Surprise! Never heard back from them. After spending a thousand dollars and dozens of hours trying to correct it, APPLE RIPPED ME OFF! Apple Products are awesome. Apple Scam- Black Friday discount on their website turned out to be a scam. Nevr got a $100 gift card when I purchased a MacBook. LAMO customer service refused to help. They should fix their broken website. How can you trust them if they can't program a website? I had over $1800 in fraudulent charges from Apple .com/bill. I don't even have any Apple products. After calling Apple to get a refund they informed me that they would be refunding me ~$1700 and it will take up to 30 days. Why I asked? Because they weren't going to refund the sales tax. How does that make any sense at all? The customer service rep sounded like she was almost laughing on the other end of the phone. A Certified Complaint letter from me was delivered to the Apple CEO on July 19-2024 regarding a $3 issue with iTunes, Apple Case ID: 102348071442. Spent no less than 4 hours on this issue. Spoke with multiple Senior Advisors on July 16-2024 who were not able to resolve my $3 issue. I have written negative feedback twice, emailed the CEO and have received no response. Apple Senior Advisors think nothing of chewing up 4 hours of my time for a $3 issue. They need cost justification training. I own 4 apple products. I will switch to a competitor for replacements. Apple has provided the worst customer support service I have ever received! When the CEO or his office does not respond to a certified complaint letter there is no other place to go when the top is of no help. read more

Let me start by saying your online customer service department is essentially worthless. I placed an order online for some products, using my Apple Store balance to cover the purchase. This was an accumulation of gift cards that I had logged into my account. The funds were enough to cover the purchase and I patiently awaited delivery of the items. I happened to log in to the account to check the status of the order only to find that it had been canceled for no reason or notification (no email or text). I logged in and started a chat with the customer support person. They validated all my information, then told me that the order got canceled because my credit card rejected the charge. ?????? Wait, I didn't order on my credit card, I used a positive Apple Store balance to cover 100% of the expense. The CS rep continued to state that it was something to do with my credit card, but couldn't tell me anything more. I pushed back and tried to explain that it was paid for with my Apple Store balance and NOT my credit card. I also explained that my address and credit card on file were all valid, but again that shouldn't make a difference since I paid with my Apple Store positive balance. This went back and forth for over 30 mins until the CS Rep just ended the conversation. Very frustrating as I wanted to understand the problem so I could fix whatever might be the issue, but I really don't know what the issue is. I checked with my credit card and they said that no charge was ever sent over for approval AND the card that I have on file with Apple is in fact valid and active. I would recommend that Apple work with their CS Team to become better at trying to help customers AND not just hang up on them when they don't know how to get to an answer. read more
