Bought a brand new upgraded MacBook Pro from this store on Friday. I brought it home, plugged it in to charge, never powered up, didn't hold a charge. I brought it back on Monday to return. I returned it no problem. They told me if I wanted to buy another one, I'd have to drive 2 hours away OR call Apple. He didn't authorize a discount for the inconvenience, didn't offer a replacement of an equal or better model, and basically told me to go pound sand. I called Apple, the representative Jessica was soooo friendly and helpful AND agreed with me that their manager should have done more to remedy the situation. I have had my iPad for about 4 months and had asked all my friends to see if they could help me set up my email...to no avail. If I could give less than a star I would. Mike the manager at this location on Sunday March 26th was the most unhelpful, unprofessional store manager I have ever met refusing to help on the grounds of "I don't want to".... Are you kidding me. Then to top it off they were so "afraid" of us for being upset they called security to watch us... again are you kidding me. Dropped off phones for repairs and when I came back to get them when I was told to, and they were closed. No message or attempt to contact me. No signage on the door for why the early closing. Upon coming in to get phones we were told to call customer service to dispute charges. Apple customer care said the charges could be waived or fixed by the manager... back to Mike..... I will drive hours to go to another Apple Store before coming back here. In fact Android is looking better and better. read more

Love the company and their stock performance however their idea of contactless pick-up is to have customers stand in lines outside the store. Stupid, since they had a large space to redesign to deal with the plague. They should train their crowd control goons to deliver product instead of pushing around customers. This look like a similar stupid system being used by the DMW in Illinois. How will this work when the snow flies and the temps drop? The manager Kate is unreasonable, unprofessional, incompetent, aggressive, and argumentative. She is not versed in Verizon promotions. If I could give negative stars I would. Unfortunately 1 star was required. She needs to be told to check the snide attitude. A visit from the HR department would be a smart move. It takes a lot of abuse for me to leave a negative review, which I really have never done prior. A little more info: I purchased an iPhone 15 pro max. 1 terabyte. This is not a cheap phone. Kate refused to send in my other phone, to validate the promotion Verizon was offering. Verizon allows 30 days to send in the prior trade-in phone, after transferring data. Apple is a Verizon dealer, and the manager Kate, should know about Verizon's promotions. Verizon and Apple should be made aware that Kate is intentionally trying to sideswipe customers. A couple of sneers from her didn't help anything. I don't know what set her off, or why she was taking out her attitude on me. She acknowledged I have made multiple visits to return the phone. EACH TIME she would actually come up and BLOCK ME from getting help thru someone to send in my phone. It's truly unfathomable. I had to finally get help thru Verizon. It was a very scary, and shockingly unprofessional encounter. It was scary, because I wasn't understanding the aggressive attitude. I was just trying to complete a phone purchase. Prior to this experience, I was an avid Apple fan. Apple needs to address this problem, so others don't run into the same problem. Please hire knowledgeable managers, that understand the promotions available. Please ditch this incompetent manager with attitude, and unchecked ego. An HR person should truly be involved, to prevent future incidents with other customers. I will take my complaints further. This experience I had with this store manager, warrants action. I dropped of a laptop for repair on the 5th, I was told I would have the computer back by the 10th On the 14th I called for a status and no one could give me any information. On the 15th I called again they said the computer was repaired and done on the 11th but they had no other information. I got a call on the 16th saying the computer was ready for pick up. I picked it up paid the 200 plus dollars for the repair reluctantly due to the delay with no communication. The notes of the repair stated the computer was updated to the latest OS. Which is what I dropped it off with. I have now spent majority of my day updating the computer back to the latest os as it was delivered back to me with an OS from 5 years ago. Leaving the computer unable to install office or any other programs that were wiped from the computer which the person at Apple Store did not tell me the computer would be wiped since this was a battery replacement. Upon calling the store all they said was sorry and they would make note of the situation I find it crazy that I held up to paying the quoted amount for the repair yet they did not hold up to the repair that was promised. I didn't Have a reservation for someone to sell me an iPad. I would've had to wait an hour to talk to somebody to buy an iPad. I can buy iPads at Best Buy or any other retailer that sells iPads. I normally give any Apple store a five because there is no product that compares and customer service is beyond reproach. The associate I visited with was very helpful. Unfortunately they did not have the Apple Watch I desired in stock, so I had to order on line since I don't live in the Deer Park area. My four star review is really a reflection of the location. They are in a very popular shopping center with high end shops but WAY TOO little parking. It took me longer to find parking than it did to get assistance in the shop. Apple, I would suggest moving to another location. A less than loyal Apple customer might give up and go buy something else at a store that has adequate parking. read more

To be honest I didn't have a huge problem with the Apple Store. I had a huge problem with their security staff. Upon arriving at the store we had an appointment and we arrived 3 min after our appointment time so we were rushing. The security staff stopped us and had us wait outside until someone left the store. So I asked what the point was to make an appointment if we have to stand outside (I was standing with the aid of a cane). The woman (short, blonde) security lady said because that's the rules. I said well doesn't make any sense to me. We waited about 10 min or so and we got in 15 min late. It ended up we had to go back in two hours to pick up the phone. We came back 2 hours later and again we were stopped by security. The same gal was there and a different man. This time I was told I couldn't go in because of the type of mask I was wearing. It was exactly the same mask as I had on two hours ago. I told him I was just there and didn't get stopped because if my mask. He said they don't allow the drape masks and he would have to see if they had any paper masks. He said he would go in and ask the manager. So again we are standing outside so I said to the gal I don't understand how the rules changed in two hours. She replied very rudely that the rules were updated two days ago and that's why they stopped me. So I said but I was just there and didn't get stopped, after going back and forth with her she turned her back to me. The guy came out and said it's fine you can go in, a good 10-15 min later. So I said I am so confused what the rules are here and he said you are good go ahead in. The security staff has a power issue and they look ridiculous with made up rules. The funny part is almost all establishments have a no mask rule right now. Very very frustrating and she was so, so rude and unprofessional. read more

The store manager Michael is not very accommodating, the store gives you the runaround to go contact the Apple 800 number that doesn't deal with anything except online orders. Yet they claimed that the 800 number could transfer my gift card to my original return payment method to credit card. The 800 number said only the store locally can do that for purchases made in store. When I asked to provide the contact name and number for the regional manager they refused. I had to suggest to the manager to take my name and number to even have the top level manager Sarah contact me back. He claimed that none of the store staff have work phone numbers. Apple's retail customer service is honestly pretty much bottom of the barrel. On another occasion I had a problem with an iPhone shutting down unexpectedly, seemed like an improperly replaced battery, and they did something which actually revived it but they pretended that nothing happened and of course they didn't charge enough to check it. When I got home I charged it and found that it was working again. Not at all impressed. Apple is happy to accommodate sales but their follow up post sale leaves much to be desired! read more

I went to visit the store after my iPhone went blank after I did a software update. Hoping it was a simple fix because my phone was working completely fine the day before. The manger Joey told me the phone is completely dead now because my working phone had a hardware problem. So the new update found it and destroyed my working phone. Thanks apple for breaking my working phone after the update. I have been a loyal apple user my whole life. I have a MacBook Air , iPads, 5 iPhones and Apple Watch. You know I got it. But after how the manager Joey treated me with no comparison, being so condescending . It really make me consider why am I so loyal to a company that don't really care about their customers. Let me add to the pile of negative reviews this store is earning. My experience was with their Genius Bar and the store Managers. I had an issue with my new iPad, and tried to resolve it through AppleCare phone support. When they determined it was a hardware issue, I took my iPad to the Deer Park store. The Genius who assisted me could not find anything wrong with the hardware, so he sent me back to AppleCare. A couple of hours on the phone, and AppleCare send me back to the store. This is where the nightmare started. This time the Genius documented the problem, but could not fix it. He again directed me to AppleCare - for a third time. I told him that I had already spoken to AppleCare twice, and they sent me to the store twice. All he could do was to repeat his recommendation to call AppleCare. I asked to speak to his supervisor, who was very rude and condescending. I pointed out that I was going back and forth between the store and AppleCare, with no resolution. I asked if they could call AppleCare directly and sort it out between themselves. When the supervisor refused to do anything at all, I asked to speak to the store manager. They REFUSED to make the manager available. I was stunned! Then another supervisor came to me and repeated the same nonsensical recommendation. I asked if it was Apple policy to leave its customers in limbo like this, she told me that they were helping me by EMPOWERING me to call AppleCare. I have never heard such garbage before! Why would I need HER permission to call AppleCare from my own phone? Ultimately, this store did not even try to resolve this issue with AppleCare, and I left angry and frustrated by their incompetence. Despite reporting this experience, nobody from Apple ever contacted me to resolve this issue. Tim Cook, how many more negative reviews do you need before you change management at this store? They matched my worst experiences at Verizon and Comcast stores. Congratulations Apple! It's sad to see how far Apple's customer service has fallen. read more

Arrogant staff lacking any depth to solve problems. They really aren't experts in the iPhone hardware. They just follow the template from Corporate and simply read back to you from the diagnostic printout after taking your phone in the back for a few minutes. This always concludes with they saying a full replacement phone is required. And they always try to up-sell, whether it's new hardware or just 99-cents/month for more iCloud storage. read more

Went to get a battery replaced on my iPhone. The smart phone was in working order when I arrived at this store on August 3, 2021. The iPhone was tested by an Apple employee, in front of my eyes before it was taken for repairs. Returned when I was told the battery would be replaced. Had to wait an additional 45 minutes until someone finally came out to talk to me. The motherboard on my phone had to be replaced. Was told it would be overnighted from their Schaumburg store. Told the woman I had no phone other than that iPhone and I would have to be emailed when the part was received. The Apple Store is now closed for the day, and no email was ever received from this store. Tomorrow will be Day 3 without any phone service. Apparently this store can't be trusted for even a simple battery replacement. read more

When making an appointment online, I was quoted a very competitive $49 price for replacing the battery in our, now seemingly "ancient," iPhone 6 that we kept as a backup. Was greeted and taken care of, promptly upon arrival. Repair was done right away and that old phone looks and works like new. I'm still in awe of that ole' thing getting 300+ Mbps WiFi download speeds. A big thank you to Apple and the tech named Moises for work that was well done. read more

I experienced bad service from the hater who works here. It was on July, 29th 2020 at 2:00pm - 2:14pm. On receipt it was at 2:14pm. She wasn't friendly and not really answering to my questions I had. She was giving me bad vibe all the time. I felt very uncomfortable with this person. I should have asked the manager to switch person. She even didn't try to explain to me about he products. I have experienced this from same type of people before(haters). So I know what she was doing. Her service was extremely uncomfortable than other good service I had from other people. This is a great Apple Store. They consistently have folks that genuinely care and want to help. They also have their "procedures" that they will explain and they have to live by. When the Smart Keyboards were sold out or not available for the 9.7" iPad Pro, they found one that someone chose not to purchase and I snagged one before a business trip. I know they didn't give me preferential treatment, but they also didn't have to go out of their way to find one for me. Recently, I cracked my iPhone glass (first time) and when I showed up early for my Genius appointment (by 60 minutes), they took me early when they had an opening. 90 minutes later, my phone was pristine. Really great store. Now we need Apple to innovate some more! :) read more

I visited there yesterday on August 20th, went in with my mom and wasn't greeted at all. We checked in, had to wait about 25-40 minutes just to be met with a team member who seemed as if they regretted attending us. We wanted to buy the new MacBook Pro as I am returning back to college, the lady hated how my mom didn't speak English. So she set us up on the computer to do financing for the MacBook I wanted, the connection timed out and she disappeared for about 20 minutes. We stood there as we had to RECHECK in just so we could get help AGAIN. But we had to wait another 10-15 minutes the second time around we got a gentleman who walked us through it and ended up leaving after we got started on it. My mom and I just ended up not doing the Application and just left, it wasn't worth it... nobody wanted to help us. SO the environment wasn't welcoming and the customer service was garbage, the employees seem to judge and its better off to go somewhere else. I ended up going to Best Buy and buying the same MacBook for way LESS then the Apple store itself. I'd recommend going to a different store or the Apple at Woodfield they are sooo much better!!! read more

Came into this store with an in store session appointment to simply upgrade my phone on an iPhone upgrade program. I've been upgrading my phone every year without any problems. I left this store because the sales agent was rude and answering my questions with extremely limited options basically try to tell me to keep low expectations. I basically didn't want to leave the store without my data transferred to my new phone because "we're in the middle of a pandemic" the sales associate says while they're helping people at the Genius Bar and says "those are special people trying to get their iPhones fixed" basically going into this apple store is a gigantic waste of time for customers who've been with apple for a long time. read more

So at the Apple Store in Deer Park they had a phone yesterday I had dropped off for repair and was told to pick it up by 6:30, when I showed up at 6:15 they were closed and no one was here, no note on the door or anything. Come to find out they lost power for a little bit and everyone went home. So I couldn't get my phone till today. I said I would like a discount t for having to wait and losing money and gas. The manager here Mike said no, flat out no apologies, no explanation at first and just "sorry we can't do that". So a quick call to Apple per his advice and they said it was the store manager discretion to discount or waive the Apple care charge, to which he said, I said I won't do it, it doesn't fall into a category that would cover that. so Android here we come. I would also like to add that when I asked about the discount or waiving the fee that they called a security guard to come stand by them. I came to my Genius Bar appointment an hour early because I got called in to work and I thought the Apple Store could help me reset my two MacBook Pros (2017 & 2018) back to its original setting because it's sluggish. I explained to Bollywood that all I need is a fresh OS install, which would literally take their Thunderbolt USB and just plug it and let it do the install. It would have taken 5 minutes, maybe 10 minutes tops. Instead, I drove an hour from Crystal Lake just to be turned down because I came in too early for my appointment. What a joke. He literally told me I have to wait an hour until my appointment is ready. I won't be buying another Apple product simply because I don't like the service they provided me. People buy products and services because they enjoy the service. I'm just one person and surely I cannot make a difference, right? read more

What is the purpose of allowing evening appointments for repairs if you have a maximum number you'll take in a day? 60+ minutes round trip to your store only to be told I have to come back "within 7 days" - two of which are holidays - to get the repair that I scheduled in advance. So I will now have to figure out a separate trip on a holiday week... and it wasn't guaranteed that the service would be completed the next time I come back. I gave a second star because the service I did receive was quick and pleasant, but really irritated at 2+ hours of round trip driving I'll have to make now for a battery replacement (because your product doesn't hold up beyond two years)... read more

Great staff, very knowledgable, friendly and patient. Everyone I have worked with has extensive training and goes out of their way to go above and beyond and answer all my questions and concerns. They have paid one-on-one trainings and free group workshops you can sign up for online. There is also a spot for kids to sit on bean bags and play with iPads. Make sure you are not late for your appointment & be ready to wait as weekends are PACKED even more than weekdays!! Also be ready to wait around 30 mins if you are getting your MacBook restored 10-15 for your iPhone. Today I had to wait for both and they were running late on appointments. Good thing everyone is so nice and there are lots of things to do or I'd have gone crazy and walked out. read more

My MacBook Pro needed to have its display repaired because of the anti reflective coating wearing off. The screen looked awful. I called the Deer Park store to set up an appointment to get the repair on a Wednesday @ 1:10pm. It was a drop-off but I was concerned about getting to an appointment I had later that afternoon at 2:00pm. I had not considered the impact COVID might have on getting in and out quickly. I arrived 10 minutes early to hopefully move things along, I was greeted, my appointment confirmed and explained how things would proceed. Things moved along with military precision. My temp was taken and I was asked to wait inside. I was thinking this is going to be an eternity and I don't have the time for it. At exactly 1:10pm I was greeted by an Apple service advisor and he listed to what my problem was explained how things would proceed and checked out my computer. He said the service was covered under warranty but the turnaround time would be 5 to 7 business days. Oh well. He gave me a service link to track the work done and said it would be shipped back to my home. I did make my 2:00 appointment with time to spare. later that evening I received and alert from Apple the unit was shipped to the Apple repair facility. The next morning early Thursday, I received another notice that they were working on my computer. later that after noon I receive a third notice stating the repair was completed and I would be receiving the computer on Friday morning via FedEx by 10:00am. The entire experience from the appointment to the return of my computer was about a day and a half. Incredible. BTW the service facility was in Houston, TX. My hats off to Deer Park Apple for the professional way the handled the entire transaction. I was impressed. read more

This store, and Apple in general sucks. We had to make an appt to drop off my I phone to replace the battery. We waited 20 minutes just to drop it off. Then we went back to pick it up and it was not done because when they took off the screen to replace the battery, they broke the screen. We had to wait another 30 minutes to get the phone. They took my zazz screen protector off and did not put it back on but made us do it. When I get a new phone we will go will Samsung. read more

Please avoid this store if possible.... Management team will find any reason to NOT help with your concern and will become adversarial. After leaving completely unsatisfied, I received a questionnaire asking for feedback. The appropriate negative feedback was left and a call from management team came 2 days later to investigate the negative feedback. With additional discussion and understanding, and having another opportunity to make a bad situation good.... they opted to not do anything.
