You deleted my backup and everything on my old iPad at 12:15pm. You did not confirm the download on my replacement, refurbished iPad. At 12:50, you ran out in a panic with a "Release From Liability Form" (for lost data) for me to sign "AFTER" YOU REALIZED YOU HAD PERMANENTLY DELETED 20 gigs of backed up Data in the cloud and cleared my old iPad! I'm too old and tired to sue, but here is some advice. Make sure the replacement device has all the information BEFORE YOU DELETE A CUSTOMERS OLD DEVICE AND BACKUPS! Yes, I absolutely, positively know for a fact that I backed up my iPad the night before and that morning of, and both of those backups were deleted by the employee because, apparently , he forgot to turn off "FindMy" in the beginning, from what I could gather from overhead whispers! Years of work and photos, apps and passwords gone forever. Shame on you Apple Store! SMH , Shame on You! Oh, and don't tell people that they will get a 'new' replacement iPad with AppleCare when you clearly are using refurbished iPads that I can get on Amazon for $200.00 or less. I backed up my data after waiting a week because my original "refurbished"replacement iPad from here had faulty software last week. (Yes, I was told that AppleCare would provide a "new" unit upon failure, not an Asurion rebuilt junk or $200.00 Amazon Rebuild) They proudly showed me that it would be over $800.00 to get this refurbished junk when I had just seen one on Amazon hours earlier. I made the grevious mistake of trusting Apple Care and paying them for years only to get Asurion junk style rebuilt stuff that's $200.00 on Amazon! Never Again!!! It even comes in the same "Made in Vietnam" box that Amazon and Asurion both use, for 4 times the price! What a rip off AppleCare is. I would probably feel better if I lost my own data instead of paying people to lose it for me then treat me like a fool by bringing a Release Form AFTER deleting and losing my years of work. Waited 20 minutes and left. Had an appointment to get my battery changed. Got there 10 minutes early. Waited additional 10 minutes after the appointment time without being seen by a representative except for being checked in. Did not bode well. Heard another customer complaining about waiting as well while I was there so - bye-bye! Some of the Apple reps did not seem to really give a crap about the customers. read more

Wait times at this store is longer than usual. The store wasn't as busy customer wise, but wait times at these stores have always been long so be patient. Apple products have been more reliable than their competitors. They have a huge selection of models and prices. The only problem I have with Apple products is that the iOS upgrade option is a maximum of nine years before you end up buying a new computer. About five months ago my husband bought a new MacBook from Apple Del Amo, in the last month his charging cord stopped working. After trying and failing to figure out the problem at home. We went back to the store to see if they could fix it or if we would need to buy a new one. Once in the store we stood in line waiting to be helped. About a minute later someone came up to us and asked how they could assist. As we explained the situation, he pulled us aside to help. He informed us that we potentially had two options. 1) Wait for an appointment time to see if we had warranty coverage on the cord and see if they could give us a new one for free. 2) Buy a new cord for $50 and skip the wait. We decided to try the first option- see if we could replace it for free. Luckily for us, we only needed to wait 15 minutes for an appointment time. We were able to walk around the mall while we waited. Then made our way back to Apple when we got a text notification that someone was able to help us at their Genius Bar. After checking into our appointment with an employee at the front of the store, we sat at a table for no more than 5 minutes waiting. After about another 5-10 minutes we found out that the cord is in fact covered by the warranty and they even had one in stock! The whole experience was at most 45 minutes. I'm so grateful for everyone who helped us today. They gave us different options on how we wanted the experience to go and what would work best for us. I'm so impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone was at every step of our experience. As well as how quick the entire process took. Thank you Apple at Del Amo Mall! read more

I am surprised with the low ratings for this Apple Store. This past week my iPhone 13 Pro started freezing and flashing. I was able to schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar after work. It was busy. I approached someone and he was able to Get me started until the tech came. Long story short, I was there 45 minutes with the technician because my phone was basically cooked. Fast forward to this morning I went back to purchase my new phone and the experience was great. Michael who worked sales on the floor was so knowledgeable and patient. Then Donovan helped me with my phone set up because after 3 days of continuous force restarts I was personally done. Walked around the mall, saw Apple Store, and right then and there hubby said let's get new phones. Happy 40th anniversary to us. We needed cable so Jay gladly helped us, then he brought us to Brian who helped us get new phones. So it wouldn't take long for two of us, Brian asked David to help, so the transaction ran smoothly. Both the guys were amazing, helpful it getting things set up, then at the end before we traded and erased phones, Michael was there to help us if needed. The employees here work very well together! I've purchased items from this Apple store multiple times throughout the years and have always experienced the best customer service. I ordered new phone cases online and had a choice of either picking them up or having them shipped. Since we already have our new phones, we wanted cases ASAP. The store closest to us in Manhattan Beach would have had both cases available in 4 days, or available for pickup the next day at this location. I didn't know that this new Apple Store opened recently. It is on the main level of the Del Amo Mall across the Tesla showroom. We stopped in this morning and were greeted promptly and our order was ready for us. This store is spacious and beautiful. Pathetic! I arrive at the mall 50 minutes before my appointment and I didn't know where the closest entrance was. Well, after calling apple and using the prompt to call the store the phone rang for like 20 minutes. I assume my call finally went to the main customer service line since nobody else was answering. They couldn't tell me what the closest entrance was. Now keep in mind I have a prosthetic so walking long distance can be a problem but after asking various people throughout the mall my 20 minute walk to the other side turned out to be being late 20 minutes. Longer story short.....the manager told me I had to wait 30-45 minutes! Wasted day trying to find the location and handicapped parking for a staff of 20 people who can't pick up the phone. I was in between two Apple products and decided to visit this location since it was much closer. The moment I entered the store, Annetta welcomed me. After I walked around the store, she offered her help. I wasn't sure which color to choose, so I chose midnight instead of blue. I was stumbling and trying to access my phone, and Annetta was so patient with me. It was just one of those days where I was clumsier than usual. I just wanted battery replacement, but they tried to upsell me. Needing new batteries for my Airpods, the Apple website asked me some questions, then provided me a quote of $49 and directed me to which Apple stores I could go. I made an appointment at the Del Amo mall store, and a fast-talking employee there named Aracely greeted me. I asked her to confirm the battery replacement price, and the conversation quickly turned to me buying new Airpods. I managed to interrupt her and asked if she could replace my batteries or not, as the website said I could. She said no, and I walked out. This was my first (and only) visit to this store. I've since bought some competitive earbuds, and glad I didn't give Apple my business, at least this time. Hopefully, it's just this particular store with this poor service. read more

I must have been wearing my cloak of invisibility when I went on April 13 or 14. Terrible service because there was no service. Workers on the floor that weren't actually with a customer were darting around looking busy while doing nothing. The selection was not searchable on the Apple site for availability/ in-stock of the item which is why I went in store. Finally blocked a non-working worker who said item could be ordered online and probably ship to store in about three weeks. Unfortunately, I'm somewhat locked in because everything family has is Apple. I see minimal value here as almost everything requires a different charger or adapter or cord...at high prices just because they can get more money. Every time I travel I seem to have four Apple devices with me (you don't want to do the $$$ math) and enough cords and accessories make me look like an electronics salesperson. p.s. This store is incredibly noisy, I mean louder than loud, but they can sell you AirPods with noise cancellation while you wait. read more

The store is nicely decorated with all the new products and the tables with the products are basically the same as mostly all the Apple Stores. They had plenty of staff to help. My mother in law, who is on my AT&T account, went here to purchase a new iPhone. She was buying outright, not financing. It took 2.5 hours. The associate who helped her literally invaded my privacy, as the AT&T account owner, and changed the security level of my AT&T account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I called the store to ask how this could happen. Despite them saying "we take privacy matters very seriously" they NEVER called me back, after saying they would. I literally tried calling this store non-stop for an hour. The phone hangs up on you somewhere between 3:40-3:50 in time. I called literally 18 times in a row. No one picked up or answered. There's no way to leave a message. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this store. Data transfer (my MIL Phone has 50Gb) doesn't take 2.5 hours, and doesn't require access to my AT&T account. There was ZERO reason for the associate to access my AT&T account. That person should be fired. There is ZERO accountability from management at the store. They do not care about privacy issues. And it's so close by and I don't need to go to Manhattan Village or Los Cerritos Center. ***Con's: I'm hoping the store will be BIGGER like the other Apple Store in other malls. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in to get the battery replaced on my phone, since max capacity fell below 80%. The employee accepted my phone after running diagnostics and told me to come back in 45 mins to pick it up. When I came back, they told me they couldn't replace my battery, but that I didn't need to pay for anything. However, the technician broke my iPhone screen in the process and I was told that since my phone was out of warranty, they could not and would not fix it.. The only offer they could give is to credit me $120 towards a new phone. I didn't need an upgrade, Apple. I just needed you to fix what your employed technician broke. Not going to this location ever again, and if you're looking to service your phone, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. If this would have happened in Manhattan Beach, they would have fixed the screen. read more

Went to this brand new location to pick up my launch day iPhone 16 Pro. First in person Apple Store Launch Day (and Grand Opening). It was a little frantic upon approval bc there were lots of different ques. I just asked which line was for reserved pick up vs no reservations. Got into the correct line and waited towards the end of my appt time and then, pretty smooth sailing as the Apple Store employee helped 3 of us. I was first and he was able to get my reserved 16 Pro and purchased an Apple Silicone case to go with it using my Apple Card with Apple Pay. 3% back. Smooth experience and so glad that the new Apple Store in Del Amo. Bonus- Apple handed out Grand Opening Water Flasks with Apple Del Amo. Nice gift to commemorate the occasion. read more

They picked up and I walked 10 feet outside the store a d one of their undercover agents came over showed a badge I asked him if he was a cop and he told me to turn around and he cuffed me. I went in to buy 19.99 head phones when the agency answered I walked out the store maybe 10feet. He slapped cuffs on me. I said o man I came pay for these now. He said you made the choice. I said I know I accidentally walked out but I am here to buy these", here is my credit card. He didn't care. Handcuffed he took me into the back and then let me go. WTF was that.
