I've used to buy those LivingSocial / Groupon package cleaning deals but none of the cleaners (both eco-friendly or regular) were as good. They are super detail oriented and even take smaller jobs: I have them do a bathroom-only cleaning once a month. I had a hard time finding a reliable team to help degrease some cabinets and make an older place feel clean. Miguel and Maria showed up right on time, which in my book is a very good sign. They did an incredible job! The place smells fantastic (I chose lavendar). It's an older place so it's hard for it to "look" clean, but I know they really scrubbed the hard to reach spots and lifted a lot of the dirt and grime. They were super thorough! I had some reservations about paying the extra cost for the deep cleaning instead of the regular cleaning, but it was worth every penny. I live with two other young professionals. I used Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning for a deep clean and was very satisfied. At first I was hesitant because the price seemed high (I rarely pay for cleaning help), but the two people who showed up stayed and worked hard for a few hours straight in my one-bedroom apartment. They were professional and did a very thorough job. It's been a while since then and I've been slacking in the cleaning department myself (pregnancy-induced laziness) and am looking forward to having them back for another deep clean this week. I also appreciate that they give clients a choice of scent for the cleaning products they make and bring along. I actually really dislike the lemony smell of most cleaning products, so this is a very nice bonus for me. Last time I went with peppermint scent, and it was a very pleasant and subtle scent. I'm very happy with the service we've gotten with Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning LLC. I heard of them many, many years ago via the NYTimes article. I've gotten about 4 "Basic" cleanings in the past 9 months. I thought the price might be a little high for a 2-bed, 2-bed apt (for my budget), but when they came, I realized just how thorough they are. "Basic" doesn't do the service justice. I've never used any other cleaning service, so I'm not sure how it compares, but I'm very happy with all they've done. Reliable, thorough, professional, friendly, and trustworthy. The one area I'd recommend for improvement is communications. I've used other cleaners in the past, but have never had anything close to the result I got from Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning- not by a long shot! Although Apple is slightly more expensive than others, by a mere $20-$40, their work is exponentially far and above other cleaning services. Miguel and Maria were my cleaners. What they did with my place is short of miraculous. I am still speechless. At first my GF and I were skeptical of the price for the initial deep cleaning from Apple Eco-cleaning, but by the time our house cleaner Miguel was through both our jaws were on the what is now incredibly clean floor. He worked for almost a full day, turning down our attempts to buy him food, and has seriously made our apartment look brand new. We're talking polishing-the-magnets-on-our-fridge level of care here. We in fact no longer wear slippers around the apartment in fear of tracking the old dirt back in. My GF has a very sensitive nose and can't bear most store-bought candles and scents; she didn't have a single problem with the cleaning fluids that were used. On top of it all, it doesn't hurt that Miguel was courteous, professional, and generally great to work with. This is also a women's run cleaning co-op; even more icing on the cake. We've never used a cleaning service before, and decided to go with Apple Eco-cleaning as our first choice due to the reviews. We WILL be going back again. Highly recommend this service! I love that they are a women-worker-owned co-op too! Awesome. I was way impressed with the job they did. This service was recommended by a friend of mine 2 years ago and I can't believe it's taken me so long to jump on board. The only thing two things could have been better would be to (1) leave chocolate on my pillow :) and (2) unclog my slow going bathtub drain (neither of which is cleaning)-- okay, and a third more realistic cleaning-centric one mentioned below. I got the basic service for my 2 bedroom. I was quoted a price that seemed fair enough (with a first time user discount = bonus). 3 women (!?) showed up right on time and stayed for 5.5 hours. I'm no longer afraid to use my medicine cabinet! My kitchen has never looked cleaner and the 14 windowsills in my apartment are actually ALL CLEAN for the first time in I can't say how long! At one point I walked past my bedroom and the cover was off my bed and one of the women was dusting my sheets!? What?! You have to provide a few things (vacuum, bucket, mop, step stool, garbage bags) and if they had provided these items I would give 5 stars (mostly because I wish they had a higher powered vacuum / better vacuum than I do and I did have to go out and buy a step stool and new mop) but I love that they make their own green products-- and esp that I don't need to provide them (in the past when I've hired someone I've had eyes rolled at me when I ask to use my green cleaning products and been argued with about how they don't work). I've had an incredible experience with this company. I was referred by a friend to them about a year ago and have used their deep clean three times since. I have never been disappointed. This cooperative does a fantastic job of getting the dirt out. Not only were they nice, but they used green products that actually WORKED. The last time I hired a "green" cleaner, the place was only marginally less filthy than when they'd arrived. These guys are thorough, nice, and my place now smells lemony fresh. They're a cooperative so they're owner operated, which (I think) makes them hustle harder. I actually felt a little guilty at how hard they worked. They're well worth the price and I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

I was so pleased to come home - my one bedroom apartment with a cat was spotless and smelled great! It was hard for me to hire a cleaning service (first time in 10 years), but it was absolutely worth it. So thankful my colleague recommended this coop service to me. Additionally, I feel positively about their business model and more comfortable that Miguel and Jesus were compensated fairly for a tough job. I was excited to book a deep cleaning with this company. I heard great things about them from my neighborhood listserve. My team (Maria & Placida) arrived right on time. They started in the kitchen and then moved through the rest of the apartment. I love the natural cleaning products they use. At first I liked the work they did. They cleaned the inside of my frig and freezer, washed windows and cabinets. It wasn't until I went to put dinner in the oven that I realized they did not clean the inside of the stove at all. I went to their website and sure enough under services it clearly states that the inside of the oven is included with a deep clean. I thought it was just an oversight. I called the company and left a message, but didn't receive a response so I called again. I was told that cleaning the inside of the stove is extra. I pointed out it was listed on the website under deep clean and was told that the info on the website is incorrect. Really? They charge $180 to deep clean a 1 bedroom apartment but the inside of the oven isn't included? Have someone update your website for goodness sake or at the very least be prepared to deliver the services listed. I wanted to book a regular monthly cleaning with this company but honestly, I don't think I"ll use them again. read more

I booked a deep-cleaning for our 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house and could not have been more thrilled with the service and detail of cleaning that the crew did. Every nook and cranny was spotless. Our floors were sparkling and the entire house just looked brighter and so clean. A crew of 3 people came to our house and spent over 6 hours cleaning. We have a number of items of furniture in storage in one of our spare bedrooms, even these were dusted and cleaned to perfection. I have never seen our bathrooms look so clean and sparkling. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this cleaning service was. I was not home when they were at our house, but my husband said that they were completely professional and were working without stopping the entire time they were at our house. I will definitely be signing up for regular basic cleaning services with Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning based on how amazing the deep-cleaning service was. I will agree with other reviewers that it was somewhat pricey, but in my mind, it was totally worth it. There is no way that my husband and I could have spent 18 hours (the equivalent of 3 people working for 6 hours) cleaning our house and done such a thorough job. I also love the fact that they use all organic ingredients. The only reason that I have given the company 4 stars instead of 5 is I haven't had the best luck in receiving response from the company. When I initially called to get an estimate for the deep-cleaning, I was told email was the preferred method of communication. I immediately sent an email and had to follow-up with a phone call and another email in order to get a response. Following that, I was told I would receive a confirmation email a week before the scheduled cleaning, which I also had to follow up to receive. Finally, the day after the deep-cleaning I was so thrilled with the service, I immediately emailed to thank them and to schedule my next basic cleaning - five days later and I still haven't received a response. I signed up for a deep clean package at the recommendation of a friend. The two ladies arrived promptly at 9am, and didn't leave until about 2.45pm - during their marathon session, they did everything from move furniture and rugs to cleaning inside the fridge and microwave. We contracted them to come and were given a written estimate based on previous visits. The night before our appointment, they tried to contact us but did not leave a message. They sent an email requesting that we speak. We called at 8:30 AM. They returned our call at 10:30 AM with our appointment set to begin at 2:00PM and raised their price by almost 30%. This review is long overdue. I have been using Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning service for 2 years now, and every time I'm impressed! I work for a non-profit that hosts European artists in New York. We rent 4 apartments in Manhattan and Brooklyn for these professionals to stay in while in New York. Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning service cleans all of our apartments after every visitor, usually every month. Now I should tell, that I am what they call a clean freak - I clean my own house because I don't trust anyone to do it right, nobody ever enters my house with their shoes on etc. So I have extremely high standards (many call me crazy) for cleanliness. Apple Eco-Friendly Cleaning service cleans so well, I couldn't do anything better myself! Even the floors are squeaky clean! The essential oils they use smell divine (my favorite is lavender), they have special indoor shoes for when they enter the apartment, they bring their own mops and rags that they wash after every apartment, so all the equipment is clean. They wipe everything, everything! There is now dust ball left behind even in the messiest bundle of cables behind the TV. Everyone there does a great job, but I want to especially mention Miguel and Maria, who work at our apartments most frequently. They are just amazing, detail-oriented professionals!
