DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! They're awful!!!!! They can't be trusted!!! I made it VERY clear when I got to the dealership that I had preapproved financing from my credit union. I had my car picked out, and I was ready to buy. Probably their easiest sell of the year... I didn't haggle over the price because I thought I was getting a good buy. (Probably a good price because I was buying a Chevy at a Ford dealership). Their online ad and the car's sticker stated that it had a rear view camera. It does not!!! When I asked about it, they gave me weak excuses that a 3rd party writes their online ads, and that it's their vendor's fault. I asked if any money would be taken off and they said "no" because they would be losing money. Frauds and Liars!!! My salesman asked me to fill out financial info and I told him AGAIN that I already have financing and that "I DO NOT WANT MY CREDIT RUN". He said that his manager required it by law because car dealers are required to run an OFAC check as a counter-terrorism act. Needless to say, when I went to the finance manager to close out with my credit union pre-auth check, he repeatedly told me that I qualify for a better rate at other banks than my credit union. I don't know what his kickback or commission is, but that joker had the nerve to harass me to leave my 4.5% credit union rate to a 4.3% rate w/Cap One - which would have saved me less than $1 on my monthly payments. In Summary: Even without the rear view camera, I needed the car from these liars as a graduation gift. My personal credit was hit numerous times and I'm still receiving "acceptance" and "denial" credit letters at home. An experience on my credit that I clearly said that I wanted to avoid. I recently attempted to purchase a USED 2016 V6 Mustang with cheap aftermarket rims. KBB valued this vehicle, or one similar, at approximately $17,000 dealer purchase price. Apple Ford attempted to sell this vehicle to me for $22,000. I attempted to negotiate and was met with high-pressure sales tactics. This treatment of customers only means that they are attempting to rip off EVERYBODY! It's unfortunate to see this in a Ford dealership... Apple Ford does have some positives. They sell Ford and Lincoln, which are reliable American brands. I have heard from people I know that Apple Ford has reliable post-season service, which earns them an additional star in my book. Considering there are several other Ford options in the area, I will not be doing business with Apple Ford anytime soon. read more

Went in this morning to the quick lane for a quick oil change and tire rotation. One of the first questions from the service rep was did i buy my truck there? I informed him that I did not so he explained the cost and explained that if I had bought there it would all be free. The rep talked with me for a few mins and treated me as if I did buy from them and like I had been coming there for years. The rep said it would be about 1 1/2 hours till complete. I was pleasantly surprised when the truck was ready in 1 hour. I am very pleased with the service from Apple Ford. Will return and will consider buying my next vehicle from them. I was sold a Hyundai Santa Fe back in March. My wife and I were told the the "license plate machine was broken" by the finance manager. They gave us dealer tags and said we would get a call to come pick up the tags in the next few days. About a month passed and I called to inquire. I was told by April Cornell in finance that in fact this was not the case, but the car I was sold has a problem with the title from the previous owner. The car was listed at 70,000 miles but the previous owners' title said it had over 300,000 miles. April seemed shocked to find out that I would want this information and said "now that you have requested to be informed I will make sure to forward you the emails." They claimed they were working on remedying the title. It has been 6 months now and I am still driving on dealer tags. I am also unsure as to the exact mileage of my car. A few months back, the salesman who sold me my car came to my home to take my car to the MD state police to try to get them to certify the correct mileage on the car. April told me that she was no longer working on this and that I would have to speak with the used car sales manager Josh. I had not received any more information on the problem so I had to call. I called April twice and Josh three times and never received a call back. After finally getting ahold of Josh, he acted like I had no reason to be upset with their service. For a company that states they are a "Family owned dealership", my guess is they wouldn't want their family treated the way they have treated me. I would never buy a car from here again. read more

I bought a 2020 Chevy Silverado from the commercial department! 1st problem was the brakes! It sounds like a metro bus when I stop, they had me bring it in and they kept the vehicle for four days to do a brake job and somehow it's worse. I can't get a honest answer if they will fix it! 2nd problem, I transferred my tags from my old vehicle to my new one and was still charged for new tags... When I asked about it I was told they would issue me a refund, well a couple months later and that didn't happen yet either! I understand people are busy but to lie and scam people is UNACCEPTABLE!!! If I could give a 0 Star I would. I have bought 2 cars from this establishment- my parents have also bought probably 2-3 there as well. My first car I bought there, I put 7,000 down at the table and my transmission went out twice within a year. When I went to the same dealership to upgrade one year after buying it, I received $5500 for it-one year after buying the car new. I got less back than I put down Day one. Next car I got here, both my front and back breaks went out. Most alarming the back ones went out the day I went to pick it up from the dealership for fixing my front ones. NEVER WORTH IT. Took my car here because it was under warranty; however after they "fixed" it the first time, it began to to make another noise. After the second go around, they proceeded to tell me I needed a new battery it was dangerously low and they would do it for $180. I took my car to Autozone to have the battery tested to find it was operating at 83%. The only reason I come here is because my cars under warranty or I would take it somewhere else. read more

Avoid Apple Ford.... DISHONEST DISHONEST DISHONEST I recently got into an accident which totaled out my car, so I decided I would go to Apple Ford in hopes of finding my next vehicle. The prices online seemed low compared to other dealerships and the lifetime warranty and lifetime oil changes sounded great for someone who is looking to purchase a used vehicle. I went to the dealership, did some test drives and had a great interaction with the used car guy, Joe Judge, who seemed helpful and focused on finding the right car for me. So while I waited for everything to settle with my insurance claim, I would continually email Joe and discuss pricing and the total cost of a 2013 Explorer XLT I was really interested in. The price online looked right, it was marked for $28,888 and at one point it dropped it to $27,500. To someone who is looking to get a vehicle this is a great sign. I also think it would be fair to have Joe get the commission since he did all the work, so I waited an extra day because he had Wednesday off. BIG MISTAKE The insurance claim had settled, I had a loan ready from my bank and I went in on Thursday to start all the paperwork with the hopes that I would have a new vehicle by the end of the day. It was then (and only then) that Joe moved the paperwork across his desk with the price of the XLT at $30,500. I asked him what happened, the price was $27,500 two days ago and two weeks ago it was listed at $28,888. His response, "Oh the web people made a mistake. This happens a lot." To help me, he did the whole go in and talk to the manager thing and said the lowest he could go is $30,000, which later turned into $29,000 in the parking lot as I was driving away. Needless to say, I walked away from the vehicle with my trust completely violated. My wife later called the manager asking what was up with the pricing issue. He said, "our web guy fat fingered it and we caught it to late... yada yada yada." Also, to her, he seemed insincere and still gave her the price of $29,000. All my wife wanted was for them to understand, relate and possibly offer us another option. One last thing that pissed me off was Joe was giving me quotes and pricing based off the $28,888 price the entire time we talked, but at the time of signing it magically goes up in value. If this is the first impression you give someone of your dealership, I wondered what other added prices I would have seen for future maintenance work. Here is my advice to you. 1: Don't trust their online pricing... it's a scam. Go there check the car out and ask to see the real pricing 2: Screen shot and print the online pricing with you. At least you will have something to show them when they change it. 3: APPLE FORD should fire their web guy. I doubt they have a "web guy," but If this happens all the time, then you need to fix the issue. 4: For advertising a no haggle pricing on their vehicles, they seemed comfortable enough to drop it 1500 as I was driving away with my check. 5: Nothing in this world is free, so in one way shape or form you will have to pay for that warranty or lifetime oil changes. Update: Customer for Life promise is a joke. It's time for my first oil change on my car, so I call up Apple Ford to see about getting an appointment for service. They tell me no appointment is necessary and to just bring it by between 7am and 7pm to the quick lane. I take it by a little after 6pm the next day, and I'm told that the car has to be there before 5pm to get same day service. I leave planning to bring it back another day. So I call again to inquire about appointments, again they tell me that no appointment is necessary, and to bring it by earlier in the day to the quick lane and they can do the oil change while I wait. I get there today, and there is a 3 hour wait. It probably doesn't help that they're offering free oil changes to anyone with a Wegman's card. So much for putting your actual customers first. I also find out that they do take appointments, but they're booked full 1-2 weeks out. Why couldn't you tell me this on the phone. I will never be returning to Apple Ford, and will make sure to let EVERYONE know how lousy their service is. read more

The used car manager drove my car with me, he exceeded the speed limit and didn't drive very safely. Much like a moth that keeps returning the flame, I left my car with Apple to complete the recall that caused me such grief last time. And again, I walk away shaking my head. For the record, I have a fleet vehicle so I'm not really playing with my own money but still.... When I brought my car in for service I asked them to check a rattle. In fact I was very specific about the rattle because it's intermittent and I know exactly where/what it is. It's the heat shield that sits between the exhaust and the trunk. You can easily see it and move the shield with your hands, clearly something that should not happen. (And why is it even loose? - That's a Ford issue, not Apples). Dropped off in AM. Should be ready in a few hours. Oops, going to be tomorrow. OK, things happen. Pick up car and review paperwork. No charge for rattle. Make inquiry and was told it has taken care of. Guess what? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Yep, still rattling and I can still move it by hand. They either didn't look or didn't care. Either way, not acceptable. read more

The service manager told her to call him another day about the huge paint chips coming off of her car. We've lost count of how many times we have called; there is always some kind of sorry excuse and the service manager will not speak to either one of us!! Now we're talking of trading in the Ford and never buying another, but huge chunks of missing paint is certainly gonna screw us over for the trade in value!! When I started emailing the Internet salesman with questions about new promotions, I got incorrect responses. Then, he stopped responding altogether. Proceeds after entering with " Have a seat Buddy". For one I am not " your buddy" A true Salesman shuld know that you do not approach people like that and is completely unproffesional. My Fiance and I just bought a 17 Explorer last night. Our sales associate was David, and he did an excellent job in servicing us. Great customer service, and responded well to our needs. There was some slight miscommunication and the obvious Dealership drama of haggling but in the end, the Manager (Ned) ensured that he beat out any competition. They have a great selection, strong work force, clean building, and everyone (no matter how annoying I was in the haggling process) showed me courtesy and respect. Lets be honest, the worst part about buying a car is haggling and getting the dealer to bend your way and agree. Thats a given for any dealership.... But I feel that Apple Ford made the process simpler by simply giving a good price right of the bat. The back office part of the deal wasn't fun. Never is. But the exception here was the persons in the back...The deal is done so I could sense the folks in the back wanted to get us out of there. To hear "I just want to get through this so i can go home to my wife" doesn't set well with me when you are in the service/sales industry. Especially when you are failing to share important information on the deal. Aside from all that, I am pleased to say I will be back to buy another vehicle. I will either get a truck or a mustang, and would not hesitate to go here as a priority. read more

DON'T GO! This is the most dishonest dealership I have ever been! I went to one of his "Sale" events about 10 months ago to test drive a Ford Fiesta on "Sale"... I spend about 2 hours with the sales rep trying to find the car in their lots. I regret wasting that precious time. The sales rep was friendly until I confront the lies. Read below: 1) After the test drive, I proceed with the negotiation and the estimation of my trade-in... the supposed deal increased more than $3000. I confronted the sales rep with the true car and edmunds average sale price and his answer was that it was a deal according to them. I was furious about the false advertisement and losing my time. 2) I previously estimated my trade-in and I didn't say anything to them cause I wanted to see their true colors after the false advertisement surprise. His offer was $2500 below the fair trade value. Even Carmax made me a better offer. I confront them and the answer was that the value for my car was fair for them. 3) I requested to talk to the manager cause I was furious about the waste of time, false advertisement and dishonest behavior. The sales rep was a jerk and his answer was that there was no point for me talking to the manager since that was what they were offering... I left right away. I got my current car from the Mazda dealership in Bel Air. The customer service was outstanding. The negotiation was transparent and they paid the right price for my trade-in (those extra $2,500 I talked before). Apple Ford is the most greedy and dishonest dealership I have ever been. My husband's company has been buying their fleet of cars from Apple for about 2o years so that when my daughter needed a car we felt as we were going to a trusted friend and not a sleazy sales person. Boy were we wrong. The salesperson Herb suggested we by an extended warranty that would last during the times that she would be making car payments. We trusted him and did what we thought was purchase a warranty during an 84 month duration. When her car needed service we found that the warranty started when the car was initially purchased not when my daughter purchased it. Herb never said that and that date was not listed on any documents. He suggested that we speak to a manger who never got back to us. I hope they are comfortable with the fact that this sleaziness and the unresponsiveness of the manager will impact my husband's companies loyalty and hundreds of thousands of dollars of future sales read more

I have gone to Apple Ford in Columbia on a few different occasions for various vehicles and have left extremely frustrated. Their staff has consistently been unprofessional and unwilling to be reasonable. I typically focus on larger SUVs and trucks and their inventory has been very focused (about the only choice you have is color), so anything I would purchase would have to be ordered. They seem to believe I'm privileged to have them as my local dealer, so they aren't willing to budge an inch on either trade in or new vehicle purchase price (their used division is even worse with this). I've used their service department twice and, for what it's worth, it was a decent experience both times. They did quality work at a reasonable price. Their service department is the only reason I'm giving Apple Ford a two-star rating. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this dealer to anybody. For purchases (and service if you don't mind the drive), I always recommend Century Ford of Mt. Airy. They have been extremely easy to work with and very professional (I've purchased four vehicles of my own through them and referred two family members, who have also had great experiences with them). Their sales staff is knowledge and friendly and they've done some pretty major engine repair work on my dads F350 diesel at a very reasonable price. read more

So far so good. I have only been in for oil changes and to get a new tire but I have been satisfied so far. If you do not make an appointment get there early as the line starts to back up quickly. Our salesman was Steve and he had some assistance from a peer bit for the most part a found Steve to be very honest and transparent during the entire sales experience. We had a very unique situation while buying this car as we were using a VA incentive that would give 20k directly to the dealership. I'm assuming they have never dealt with veterans because the managers were not aware of what was happening. It worked out in the end after contacting the VA and verifying all info. This is a very well run and organized dealership. As dealerships go...and with the extraordinary turnover of personnel in the auto business, they seem to maintain a reasonably high level of quality over the last 4 years. Buying a car here...do your homework....if you do your research...understand their pricepoints and margins...you can do quite well here in bargaining for a good deal. I bought two cars here...and bought the extended warranty for both. Being Fords....I got my moneys worth out of the warranties. My Ford Explorer had numerous problems including a failing transmission. I had a $100 deductable for a $4000 repair. My Ford Expedition had differential issue....this time a $50 deductable for a $3000 tab. The service department...is very efficient. I never had a problem with their work or quality of service. I have had problems with the Ford...with so many little things going wrong... Everyone here from the receptionists...to the sales...to the service department...are extremely friendly and helpful. But don't forget...this is a dealership...and you pay top dollar for service not covered under warranty..... read more

Where do I even start? First, the first words of the listing for my vehicle literally started with "CLEAN CARFAX...NO ACCIDENTS". Well, after test driving the vehicle in a thunder/lightning storm, I came back and began paperwork. After hours of waiting, I finally was handed the keys. Upon moving my belongings to my new vehicle, I noticed someone side swiped the rear passenger side door. They acted like they had no idea about it, even though it was covered in non-matching touch up paint (which also made its way onto my rear leather seat). I had the sales manager come out and have a look for himself, so it could not have been blamed on me and he said that I could bring it back and he would have his "master tech" fix it AND buff + detail the whole car again in order to try and remove a few other scratches around the vehicle. I had taken it back to the dealership, which is over an hour each way and after picking it up a few days later, it looked as if a teenager in his backyard attempted to fix the dents, scratches, and totally screwed up paint. There were runs/drips/lines in the paint, dimples in the bondo, and an overall orange peel effect on the paint. I had taken it back AGAIN and was told that they clay-bar'd the whole car plus buffed and waxed it again. The vehicle was not touched at all. Same issues were still there. I paid a paint correction company to fix it and they explained how bad it was and with the orange peel, there wasn't a whole lot they could do. I would have to have the whole rear door and rear panel repainted if I wanted it to look right. In addition to that, my adaptive cruise control + collision detection was not working. I told Jesse Nammack about this and I explained it was most likely the mounting bracket since you could feel the sensor was loose. He told me it was not a problem and he would fix it. After picking it up the third time (and being promised yet another full detail), he explained to me that they reset the whole system and he even took it for a test drive to make sure things were working. Not even five minutes after leaving, it stopped working and began throwing errors on my dash. While on my way to the vacation, I emailed him photos of the error on my dash and until this day I have not heard back. I just recently took it to a local Ford dealership using my warranty and paying the $100 deductible. They explained that the bracket was broken and the apparently the VIN in the module did not match my vehicle VIN. Well, that along with the front bumper being slightly off leads me to believe the vehicle was in ANOTHER accident that was handled outside of insurance and not mentioned in their listing or in person. I was also having problems with my sunroof sticking. They told me the switch was broken and backordered but they would call me when it was in. It's been 11 months and I've heard nothing back from them. As if that wasn't enough, a few days after purchasing my vehicle, it began to overheat and the AC quit working. The cooling fans died, but they did in fact replace those. The only proper repair that was completed. Be careful when going over your finance options too. They try to sneak in a Ford warranty into your payments and are not very happy when you notice. They DO NOT mention this at all until you mention it. I ended up opting for a warranty from another company due to the amount of electronics on the vehicle, but should not have given them another single penny. Their financing is also higher than anywhere else. I ran numbers before hand and was offered multiple finance options for 4% and the best they could do was 5.5%+ (give or take). My fault for not obtaining a loan before hand and being on a time constraint. Oh, and let me not forget how unprofessional the sales associate was. I believe her name was Leslie. I have worked retail and customer service previously for many years and cannot believe they would hire someone who literally has no understanding of basic customer service skills. Her phone call to me asking me to pickup my vehicle was highly unprofessional...to say the least. And to top it off, while *I* was attaching my license plate, Leslie was telling me about the Ford Explorer behind my vehicle. She mentioned a couple coming in to look at it for their daughter in college and were upset because the paint was different on the front fender than the rest of the vehicle. Leslie was laughing and telling me how absurd those customers were. Really?! I should have followed their footsteps and left without purchasing this vehicle! Guess Apple Ford has a habit of trying to cover up issues. So, it's been almost a year and I have never heard back in regards to the sunroof switch, adaptive cruise control/collision detection or my paint issue. Add all of this up and I should probably seek legal counsel, but I honestly don't think it's worth my time or effort any longer, so I will just leave my review for Apple Ford anywhere I can. read more

I have been ripped off I bought a lemon I bought my car less than 6 months ago it was a used car 29,000 miles on it already I had to take it back because of the head gaskets after that my brakes and rollers was hanging off I kept in a thumping noise every time I take my feet off the brake and push down on the gas come to find out my brakes and rollers are hanging off and I have a warranty on my car until 2024 but they're telling me that I have to pay for the brakes and the rollers but the labor will be free I understand that but I just bought the car it shouldn't be no problems $36,000 car less than 6 months and already have problems read more

I had my Ford Fiesta serviced here due to a warranty for manufacturing issues with the transmission/ clutch. I actually lost count of how many times I had to go back for the same issue since 2014. Last time I went, I had to get seals and a new clutch; they were never able to provide me with a date of when they would get the parts. I had to call on a weekly basis to check whether they got the parts. 3 weeks after the original appointment, they finally told me they had all the parts...(they didn't think to call me though, I called them). Took my car to get the new parts, but the car is still not working properly; fluid still leaking out, and the service engine light is still on. I have had a terrible experience with the service in this place and with this 2012 Fiesta. I even tried to sell the Fiesta back to them to get a new car... and even Ford doesn't want to pay price for the same cars they sell! They only offered a very small amount for the same cars they sell at a much more expensive price. After this review, the manager, who had never heard about any of the problems that had happened to me (even though I had taken my car there countless times) called me directly on my phone number and was yelling at me for placing the review. Update 2018 A year ago Apple Ford found a leak in my motor. The coolant was leaking on the motor; the warranty was 10 days from being expired, but they fixed the issue. My understanding was that they changed the WHOLE motor. Two months later drove to Philadelphia... my car was left with without breaks in the highway (not sure if a manufacturing problem or something Apple Ford did when they fixed the car). A year later... another problem, another leak, but an oil leak. Tried to go to a different service center, but was sent back here by Koons ford after being charged for a diagnostic there. Then was being charged for another diagnostic at Apple Ford. They did not guarantee that the warranty would fix this problem (the problem had become a $1000 problem; the motor they had fixed a year ago now seemed like a motor that had ran for 100,000 miles, except for I only had ~46,000 in it). Turns out they had only fixed HALF the motor and depending on where the issue was coming from... they may or may not cover it. I almost believe they used old parts to fix my car, or that the people employed here don't know anything about cars. If they were new parts, then the company should just shot down... because they all broke! Well I am sure they are tired of seeing me, so luckily for them, and fortunately for me, I will not be going back. Finally sold the lemon car I had bought (did not buy it here) and got a more reliable car... a Honda. I honestly think the company is rotten from the head up... starting from the manufacturing company that made this Ford Fiesta 2012. I am so disappointed of this brand. read more

Took my car to Apple Ford Lincoln to have the tires replaced. The price was fair but they don't appear to be competent in their ability to service a vehicle. They claimed the car was out of alignment but took them three times to get the alignment correct. Then I found out the technician set my tire pressure based on the max tire listed on the side wall and not what was listed for the vehicle. I would not recommend their service Dept. read more

A friend who bought many trucks from Gary at Apple, recommended that we see him when looking for our new car. Gary is in Fleet Sales, so we weren't sure that he would help us, but we are so happy he did. Gary was extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and an overall good person. Normally buying a car (new or used) you don't get the 'good person' feeling. If you've dealt with a slimy car salesman or finance manager, then you know what I'm talking about. I knew exactly what I wanted, so Gary told us all the Mustang options, and gave us a great deal. I appreciate the 'Customer for Life' since I'm sure I will get my money's worth out of just the car washes. I'm not much of a review writer unless the service is either atrocious or awesome. Well, this place rocks my socks off! Even though I opted for a crossover that they do not offer, I feel it's fair to give credit where it's due. And as much as I use yelp, it's only fair to share my good experience with this dealership so others can benefit as I did. Carme Vitale was my sales associate. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and answered every one of my questions with exceptional professionalism. He didn't hesitate, he knew his facts cold. He guided me in understanding every one of options and was informative, but not pushy. How refreshing! If in the future I decide to take the truck route, I will drive myself straight to Apple Ford and cross my fingers hoping that Carme is still there. Yeah...he was THAT good! read more

Extremely poor service department. They don't know how to properly diagnose or repair purchased vehicles. Based on my experience... after you purchase a car at Apple Ford you're on your own. They simply do not know how to diagnose or properly repair the most straight forward issues. They could not diagnose a car issue after several visits to the service department over a six month period. I was basically told that the car was fine. Car ended up breaking down, leaving me stranded almost 40 miles from home. After I completed a Ford survey expressing my dissatisfaction with the service, they had a customer service representative call me to badger me about my review. In my opinion, the service department need retraining and new management. read more

I drove from North Jersey the deal was so good. My salesman was Seth Keil-straight up and honest (I found out later he was a VET who served in Iraq). I have bought about 20 cars (BMW, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, Land Rover-as I'm typing this I realize I have a problem!). This was one of the top buying experiences. Over the past 3 weeks, has been very stressful for my husband and I finding the right 2016 Ford Explorer that fits within our budget. We've been to multiple dealerships. We have gone here 4 times till we actually made our purchase. The first time we went there, was just to look and see (our first dealership) and our sales man who we got (I forgot his name) maybe it's because we came in a sucky day, but he seemed in a "blah" mood. We test drove 2 vehicles, the escape and explorer and he basically just handed us the keys and so on, didn't really try to bother wanting to sell us a car today. Very akward setting. But we ended up coming back a couple days later. It was a lot of time and negotiating. Our sales man, Chris F. Was very nice! He is a very patient/soft spoken, humble guy that worked with us and when we had a question and he didn't know he would go find the answer. We even met James (manager) who helped us out with options with finance because we really wanted the car, but it was out of our price range. But he gave us some good options that would make it work. Very smart guy! One of the reasons why we chose to buy our Ford Explorer here was because of the lifetime warranty they offer. You get free oil changes, free car washes, lifetime warranty for powertrain, etc!! You can't beat that! Everyone who works there is very nice and close together, no negative vibes at all.
