I made an appointment two hours in advance for 4:30 PM For a screen repair. As soon as I made the appointment, I walked inside and asked if they could take me two hours early since I was there. They asked what I was there for I said a screen repair and they said I will have to wait and come back at my appointment time. I walked around the mall and sat on a bench killing time for two hours. Then I came in at my appointment time at 4:55 and then they had me sit for another 30 minutes after checking in only to tell me that they are not able to take me for a screen repair today. The manager was there and said he couldn't even make an exception. Entirely unacceptable for them to have the time available on their website to book an appointment for a screen repair and for their employee to tell me to wait all that time for my appointment knowing what I was booked for, just for them to tell me I can't get it done today because it's too late and they are too busy. If they were too busy, they shouldn't have told me to wait. And if it was too late, the appointment time shouldn't have been available. That was a complete waste of my day. Not to mention, I live 35 minutes away. Unreal. read more

Came in because my AirPod pro gen 1 case wasn't connecting or charging anymore. It wasn't covered by apple care but I figured I might be able to get it fixed for cheaper than buying a new pair. The person who took care of us was very kind and funny. He diagnosed our AirPods and determined that they were "cooked". They did however live long past its life so it was time for a new pair. He gave us some recommendations but I think we will hold off for now. Service was quick and easy for a walk in. I would return if I have another issue in the future. read more

This place is incredibly busy during, well, most of the hours they're open. I've had better luck with timeliness of service in the weekday evenings, but even on a busy weekday morning, I was able to get someone to help me in a matter of minutes. I think our current culture sets us up to be a bit impatient, but just know that the well-meaning employees are swamped with up to 10-15 patrons each. I had an awesome time checking out the iPads and laptops so I could make a best decision on what tech to buy. The Apple store also does some comparisons between models right on the display screen to help you decide best fit. The employee who helped me was really down-to-earth and honest. He didn't pressure me to get the top model with the heavy price tag, instead listening carefully to what I needed and recommending best fit. I bought an apple Iphone 16 replacing my XL about 8 mos ago. Last year i had the battery replaced in my xl and it took a day to replace it while i waited. The entire time they tried to sell me a 16. After replacement battery was replaced, it , did not charge fully but was much better. Not long afterward My xl was run over by a car (lo g story) and i immediately had to by a 16 (after Christmas) I charge it nightly and use during the day. I have only texted my daughter this morning and now, at 1pm, it is only at 54 percent TRASH at a cost of $1200. My XL had a better battery life before i had the battery replaced. I am sick at the degrading of apple products while the price rises. I guess the quality is gone from all digital products. But it not worth $200 much les $1200 read more

They made me wait 30 minutes past my appointment time to come talk to me and then said they had ten repairs in front of me and they "might get to it before closing". I ending up just leaving, from the way they were acting and saying they were so far behind on everything I knew it wouldn't be the same day repair that was promised. If they know they are that far behind they need to warn people instead of just having us sitting around wasting both mine and the repair technicians time. read more

Apple sucks now. I've always been an Apple fan. But not anymore. They've changed...for the worse. I don't know if it's just this store, but I know the brand itself has gone down in quality too. They've even become political by having those "pride" bands. Why can't a tech company be just that...a tech company? No need to make a statement other than "we sell cool phones and computers." But that's not related to this specific store, so let's move on. Why does this store suck now? Let's start with the most obvious yet least important. It's UGLY. They used to have doors. Now it's just weird. It's like...just a huge opening. Like you can't even tell when you're in the store. It's so strange. Not to mention how spread out everything is. It's almost too minimalistic. There's not even any soothing background music. Next issue is the service. I remember when Apple had the best customer service. The employees were friendly. They'd check you in as soon as you walked through the door (back when they actually had a door). Then they'd ask you what you needed. And they'd make sure you got it. They'd help you with tech issues. Fix your phone for you. Or if you wanted to buy something, they'd give a great sales pitch. Now? It's the polar opposite. You walk in, and you can barely tell who's an employee and who's a customer. And the employees are not friendly at all. They kind of pretend you don't exist and actively avoid you. Last time I went here, I browsed for a half hour before someone acknowledged my existence. How disappointing. And where the heck do you pay for your stuff? There's no cash registers. It's confusing. I hate this place. I don't care for Apple as a company either. They used to be the prime tech company, better than Microsoft. On the cutting edge of everything. Worst experience at an Apple Store I have ever had. It started when I walked through the door. I was not greeted by the mini Apple employees standing and looking at each other, after approaching this gang of helpers, I was ask what are you here for? when they found out it was a service issue they told me to go sit on a bench and wait, somebody would help me. I ask, how long will they be? I was told not long. Since there was only one person in the service area who had someone helping them , I complied. After waiting 20 minutes and watching the bench area fill up with other customers,I decided to leave. This store is unlike any store I've been to before. There is no check in or customer service desk, or signs to direct you to where to put your name on "the list ". The staff all appear to be helping someone so there was no one available to talk to. After wandering around the store, looking lost and searching, I finally interrupted one of the employees and asked how do I buy a phone? They asked if I was on the list, which I replied, how do I get on the list? They directed me to another employee who was in the back corner holding an iPad. So I went and spoke to him, and he put me on the list and told me that someone would be with me in a little bit. There was no waiting area, so I just wandered around, wondering how someone would eventually find me. Eventually they did. The person that was helping was very knowledgeable, but I could tell he was rushed because the "person with the iPad "kept coming over to see if he was finished in order to see another customer. I love Apple products. I am a faithful customer of Apple. The customer service I always received has always been phenomenal in Jax, Florida even when the crowds were insane. My friend came to this Apple store in Nashville to receive service and to see a technician. The first rep was nice yet very passive. I have been in the customer service industry and this is something I notice every day - a very passive attitude. She was wondering how much she could trade in for her Apple Watch and phone. He didn't give her that many options. I had to prompt him to get alternative options from him. He took apart her watch - never putting it back! He said we needed a technician and it would be a 45 minute wait. So we waited. Now he checked us in at a later time because we waited way longer than what was documented...ugh. By the way, our rep never came back to follow up like he said he would. It was like he didn't care and left my friend stranded. When she got an Apple rep, he said we had only waited 18 minutes. She insisted we waited for an hour. My friend is military, very structured, and organized. A big stickler for time. She had clocked our wait as being over an hour. She was silently furious over being called a liar or told that what she said was wrong. She kept her cool and saw the technician. The technician looked at her watch and didn't do anything. She just told my friend "I know you are frustrated but I am trying to help you!" Yikes! She even told her that she lied about time. Every rep just made her more angry and none of them tried to alleviate her situation! A simple apology would have worked wonders or softened up the situation. Heads up! People don't like being called a liar or wrong if they are telling the truth! The way she was treated was aggressive and passive. My friend was a loyal Apple customer for 8 years! She vows never to go back after all the problems she had with them. Empathy, honesty, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essentials in customer service. The Apple reps lacked that here. They should find a job they are more passionate and positive about in the future, because the reps that dealt with my friend did not seem to care for her or their jobs. If a customer is upset, try to be empathetic and calm her down. If you can not provide a service, be honest. Do not leave her and say you will follow up. Don't take apart her watch and expect her to put it back together. Do not clock her in late for a wait. Do not state she is lying. So many mistakes. I told my friend Apple is not like that in Jax. The reps there were great. She deserved better treatment. She left Apple that day telling me that we wasted our time and nothing was done. read more

Wow! This store has some of the most dismissive and condescending sales associates ever. I arrived at store opening to pick up an order. The store was full of associates all talking to each other. No one asked to help me, so after a minute or two I walked up to a young man wearing a brown cardigan over his red Apple t-shirt and asked him where was the best place to pick up an order. With a snicker in his voice he said, " See that big white sign over there that says order pick up? " I just walked away. If this had been the first time I'd gotten a snarky response from staff in this store I would have shrugged it off. But it's happened several times. However, no more. Avoid buying a new phone and most items from Apple. The predatory marketing, deceiving tactics and last second technicality really discourage a consumer. I went in to buy a new iPhone because of their Apple trade in was an overall decent deal. The store was packed like always on the weekend, and that itself isn't an issue. It's the lack of integrity due to monopolistic practices. At the end of the day, it's just a phone with some many programs locked only to Apple products. The whole process feels like a car dealership trying to pull fast last second traps and bait. Employees aren't the issue, never them. It's the overall practices. For my purchase process, it starts as smooth and easy walkthrough, but then comes the "we can't do that or this and they are strict on that". The process in past years has been easier for the consumer and saved more money and time, but now, it's a whole tedious back and forth to squeeze extra money out of us. Made an appointment and came in today to get the newest iPhone. The best part of the experience was at least getting some credit from my old model towards this one. While the girl who helped us was nice, she didn't seem super confident with how to sync old information onto the new phone and I've had to do all of it myself. I told her beforehand that I don't use iCloud much but she said to use iCloud anyway. I did and the information that popped up was from 2020. She said we couldn't do anything about it at that point because the information on the phone had already been erased after removing the old device from Find-My-iPhone. Luckily, I have all of my current stuff on my computer but there's definitely an iphone to iphone option for syncing that would have saved us a lot of trouble. read more

This review is based off of my customer service experience with this location. I literally created an account to make this review. Today I am gravely disappointed with Apple's failure to provide quality customer service. Time and time again, getting any problem with your phone fixed is like pulling teeth! I live in Clarksville, which is an hour drive from the closest Apple store. My phone (iPhone 7) suddenly stopped connecting to a network two weeks ago and constantly says "no service" - I have been unable to receive or make any calls for weeks now! I was referred to an Apple Agent working at our local Best Buy (a lot closer than Nashville), and they told me that apparently the specific model of my iPhone 7 is part of a massive recall that Apple had because there is some inherent issue constructed within my phone... the only option they gave me was to mail off my phone to an apple store, who would then re-evaluate the situation with my phone, and then they would ship it off to their "special" repair center. All in all, the process was estimated to take up to 2-3 weeks, which - as any existing human being can resonate with - is not a possibility for me, since I need to make calls for work and school. I decided to make the drive and take the phone into the apple store myself, so I made a Genius Bar appt for this upcoming Friday. But I wanted to call ahead of time to clarify if there was any way they could order any necessary parts ahead of time (which I thought was a reasonable request since apparently the issue with my phone was part of some mass recall Apple had, not a problem that needed individual evaluation). Warning: The number listed for this store DOES NOT connect you to the store - it will send you to Apple customer service!!! (which is a beyond frustrating game of talking an automated system before you're finally connected to an agent) I waited for 30 minutes to speak to an agent, who then put me on hold for another 10 minutes until I was FINALLY connected to a person working at this location. The girl on the phone was incredibly rude, unsympathetic, and clearly not happy to be talking to me. Even though I am clearly frustrated within this review, I can assure you that I was very kind on the phone and simply asked for clarity regarding my situation. This girl was incredibly short with me, and did not provide me with any clarity whatsoever regarding whether or not my phone will be fixed immediately, or if it will have to be sent away. I felt like I was doing something wrong every time I asked her another question - like I was inconveniencing HER. I'm tired of Apple's only solution: garbage customer service, wrapped up thoughtlessly with the command "just bring it into the store" (which I'm NOT excited to do, especially after reading all of the countless negative reviews listed for this location). I received a notification on my iphone that my Face ID has an issue and can no longer work. I followed the recommended steps of updating up, restarting phone, etc. but nothing work so I called Apple Support. Apple Support basically just verified I did update and there was an error and said they could not help any further and I needed to go in person. I set my appointment up on the call and the Apple Support put in all relevant info into the ticket. I arrive at Green Hills Apple Store on time during my lunch break, checked in and they told me it would be a few minutes and to wait in the seated area. At the time there was 1 other lady being assisted and no one else waiting. Over the course of 25 min, 5 other people (unsure if they were appointments or walk ins) went and sat down around me and all received help first. For a "cutting edge technology" company, you would think they would have the basic concept of a chronological waitlist down. I finally was helped and they ran a diagnostic on my phone that just came up with the message that indeed Face ID is not working (shocker!). My phone was also not psychically manipulated in any way in terms of inspection or plugging the phone in for diagnostics so I am unsure why the phone call Apple Support team couldn't just do this. The Apple employee informed me that since I did not have applecare it would be $215 to fix the FaceID. I asked her why this was happening because there is not a single crack on my screen and my front camera works perfectly and she just replied with "it doesn't give us that information and it seems like a glitch." So ridiculous that the processes took so long on a weekday just for it to remain unfixed as they were trying to charge me over $200 for a "glitch" that seems like an Apple issue. read more

Going to condense this severely down to three stories: 20+ years working on computers, 7 years on smartphones, I generally know what I'm doing. Story 1: Person was sold Mac + software package by someone affiliated with Apple. We'll call them BD. Software package did not do what it needed to do. Person asked me for help. I looked at it and the software package did not do what it needed to do. BD swears it will work and is covered by warranty, tells them to take it to the Genius bar. I get tasked with taking it. Genius bar employee doesn't know how it works, it's not covered by warranty. An hour later reaches the same conclusion I did that the software doesn't work as intended due to the last minor iOS update breaking sync. Of course there's no refund on the software... but... I mention some other applications that might do the trick and ask if they know if there's a trial period on iTunes in case the software doesn't work. The genius I was talking to did not know if any applications in iTunes allowed this. Also did not know of any packages or apps to try. I ask if there's anyone there who deals with Macs in a business environment and am told no. Errr...ok. That was an hour plus drive time. Story 2: I've stopped hearing "it just works" from the mac friends as every iOS update has them tromping to the Apple Store to have the thing factory reset. There's little to no fixing and a lot of resetting these days. Last friend I met at the Apple Store had just had his iPhone factory flash fried (reset) by the techs losing all his data which hadn't been syncing, which is why he brought it there. Story 3: A problem with the WiFi on a Mac brings me in to ask a simple question: Is there any way to get the thing to properly disconnect and go search for another router when the one it's talking to isn't responding. I ask this because in this situation there's a router than can be heard perfectly (full bars) throughout the building, but the mobile Mac's WiFi transmitter was too weak to punch through the walls back to the receiving base, even though there was a perfectly fine little router it's capable of using in the same room. I gave up at three geniuses. Wrap up: I think they're probably fine at grabbing something and doing a quick restore. They're great at factory resetting iPhones and letting you wander out to resync all your data, but they're not up to solving much beyond that that I've run across. read more

What was I thinking? 2 days before the launch of the iPhone 5 and I made an appointment at the Genius Bar here.... Partially because I didn't have a choice as I murdered my iPhone 4 by sticking it in a cup of coffee (I was snockered). With that being said, my appointment was made online and they immediately greeted me and had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. The "trade-in" program they offer is pretty stellar: Trade in your damaged (or murdered) phone for $149.99 (no contract) and you walk out with a new iPhone (has to be same model). Since my AT&T contract doesn't allow for an "upgrade" for another 6 weeks, this option made the most sense for me at this time. Service was friendly, helpful, and I even picked up a much-needed MacBook Pro charger too. read more

So I asked if I ordered online with pick up in store, could I pick up today. I was told NO because of procedure. I would have to drive back tomorrow. My wife's iPhone 6Plus battery was dying and would not hold a charge so I filled out the form online and it gave me options for appointments to get her battery changed at several Apple stores for a week or more out, but the store in Green Hills had an available time of 6:15pm on Saturday January 6 which was just a couple of days away. We drove two hours and arrived on time only to be told they have been out of batteries for a while and to come back in a couple of weeks. They asked my wife if she would like to make another appointment for two weeks out, so she asked if there was any way to find out if they had the batteries in stock before we drove back that far. The "Apple Genius" told us that their inventory is confidential and they cannot share that information. WTH? We have to make an appointment to drive back up there to find out whether or not they have a battery? No thanks. I swapped over to Apple products a few years ago because they had innovative designs and good customer service. I'm not paying more for less, so I guess I'm going back to Android and Windows. read more
